my five-foot-nothing ass, in a family full of people 5-5'3 tops: your experiences are not universal and you should feel bad

LET! CHARACTERS! BE! UNDER! FIVE AND A HALF FEET TALL! WHAT! THE! FUCK!

and it's fucking EVERYWHERE! the "short" characters are *maybe* 5'5" at the MOST EXTREME END and even THAT'S rare as shit! it's not even a "well men HAVE to be taller than women because STATISTICS" fuck you! first off female characters have the same fucking thing! the shortest [female character redacted] I've ever seen was 5'4 and that was paraded around as her being A Short Queen uwu™ or whatever the fuck. that's literally the average height of a woman in America! but more importantly even if they didn't! it's still so fucking stupid! and also really! fucking! sucks! ass! for trans guys (and other non-woman-aligned people) because of this insidious idea that no "real" man could ever be under five and a half feet tall. shortness is explicitly considered feminine (but only to a point until it's considered juvenile (or pathologized)) and I fucking hate it.
