what are your top 3 favorite and least favorite merch pieces and why?

This is so hard. I am struggling. My subjective answers:

Favorite (because I wear/use them a lot and like the design): green rep crop long sleeve, i know places bomber jacket, and the evermore guitar.

Least favorite (because they did not live up to my expectations): blue and red stars around my scars pullovers, grey exile pullover, blue color block midnights sweatshirt/sweatpants.

But I think products like the cardigans and the snow globes are objectively great products, they’re just not things I personally am interested in.

The Eras Tour | RED section | Version 4

During the RED set I wasn't just confused because it was the first set to have moved from its original spot in the setlist, but Taylor's new shirt saying took me aback.

Firstly, we haven't had a new addition costume-wise to this set since the early days of the tour. You might recall that Version 3 of the shirt (featuring "We Are Never Ever" lyrics) was added in March 2023 during the show's first three-day run in Arlington, Texas.

This phrase also took me aback because it's our first in the series that isn't a direct callback to an established moment within the RED era lexicon. In addition to the aforementioned V3's lyrics, Version 1 ("Not A Lot Going On") is a direct lift from the "22" music video costuming and Version 2 also features "22" lyrics ("Who's Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew.").

So what does this particular phrase mean?

To me one of the key functions of the Eras Tour, especially in the form of its costuming, has been toeing the line between referencing eras of the past while also giving them a slightly refreshed, modern facelift. We saw that in the fringed dresses of Fearless, the dramatic princess ballgowns of Speak Now, and the matching sets of 1989. But as we also saw tonight in Paris, all of those respective outfits got what I suppose we could call a 'makeunder'. Which is to say, they all took a time machine to more closely resemble their original, canonical tour ensembles and not the refreshed 'Taylor Versions' we've seen thus far on the Eras Tour in 2023/24.

But why is she now beginning to more overtly replicate instead of subtly reference? Something to think about!

Eras tour (new) thoughts

Not much of a fan of the new Lover bodysuit. This color doesn’t give Lover vibes for me, in the same way I could not buy another vinyl color than the blue for 1989 TV. 

Goodbye to The Archer, you were very loved by me

The new Fearless dress is cute, a nod to the Fearless tour, but the gold one with fringe remains my favorite

Jumping into Red, I loved her 22 shirt which was a nod to the ‘Ceci n’est pas une pipe’ tee shirt (I think it was a tee shirt)

The contraction of Folklore and Evermore had us saying goodbye to a few songs from both sets. Tolerate it is my biggest Eras Tour loss (along with Long Live)

This new 1989 outfit gives 1989 tour opening vibes and I love it. The mismatched shoes too!

The biggest change of the setlist: TTPD being added. I was screaming while watching the livestream with my mom

I unfortunately did not watch the whole set (my wifi cut!) but I was able to see starting from Down bad/Fortnight

I don't normally make other content but @wainmfis decided to bring this up and give me an excuse to talk about this so thank you :)

Jack Rose with his own Eras Tour, along with many-a-headcanons for Jack and Wanderlust (Wanderrose tee hee) and the aftermath of JD2024

Buckle up, y'all, this is a long ride. I put this post into a word counter and it's almost 3,000 words. So, if you just want The Era's Tour stuff, I marked it in italic, bold, red, ALL CAP LETTERS

Alright, so, I'll get my Jack headcanons first

He started making music when he was fifteen and was allowed to release albums (With songs only approved by Night Swan on the album) when he was sixteen. He was allowed to choose his own genres though, as long as she fully wrote some of the songs.

His debut Album was Self Titled (So it was called Jack Rose)

annnd this is where that most of my inspiration on Jack comes from Taylor Swift and I have zero shame.

So all of his albums are mostly the same as hers, titles, songs, etc. (Except for 1989... how old is Jack right now? 28?? Lets say 28, it would be titled 1996)

However... there is one extra album, that happened between Speak Now and Red.

When he was around seventeen, that's when he finally used his slightly later curfew, when he was allowed to be wandering in Eternyx until eleven o'clock at night, which was insane for him because he used to only be out until nine-thirty at the latest.

He would wander around the streets for hours, running back to Swan Tower when he had about an hour and a half left.

Until the day that he found an abandoned bar turned hidden rap club in the small part of the city that Night Swan didn't go around often.

He had wanted to try putting out rap for a while, but Swan never allowed him, she said he wasn't good at it, it wasn't good music and it wouldn't do well under his name.

He would watch and listen from the outside, scurrying back home just in time for his curfew.

Until the night he decided to go in there. He had paid the servants (Hehe, serve) to not tell Night Swan he was out past curfew, and he went out to the little club in the city.

He would hide in the corner, in a hoodie to hide his face and in the dark. No one could now that he was there.

People came up to talk to him, eventually realizing who he was and quickly swearing that no one would tell a soul. That was the first time he really told anyone about his mothers ways.

They all welcomed him with open arms, and he had real friends for the first time in his life.

He would sneak back into his room through his unlocked window, the servants would fake pictures of him being in his room, either at his desk writing or in his bed on his laptop or asleep.

He eventually started fully making his raps, rather then just keeping them on paper, and he starting singing them at his little club, much to everyone's joy.

To his mother's horror.

He was under an alias (Not sure what to call him yet), and she made him not only drop it, but scaled back his curfew again and made him cancel plans to tour for months.

But she "punished" him by making him release an album full of his raps. That made him so happy, and it ended up becoming his favorite album, cover and all.

Lose Yourself. (So this is where Eminem inspiration comes in, plus NF)

When he got to tour for that album at the age of twenty, dressing how he wanted to dress, he saw his friends from the club, screaming in support. it ended up being his most successful tour before 1996's Danceverse Tour, where he finally got to leave Eternyx for the first time. That was when he was twenty-four. Even then, his mother still made him perform songs that she wrote for him. (Locked out of Heaven and Treasure for 1996)

That was the last album before the events of JD 2023. After that, it got out what Swan Army was doing, and while he wasn't blamed for what happened, he was partially questioned if he had any part in what she did to coaches.

After that, he fully detached himself from her, left nearly everything to his name in Eternyx and started a new life in Dancecity. He had an apartment and everything, he wrote songs but hadn't put out an album. Night Swan was still around, so he was scared about putting out the music that he was writing. He figured he could just get it out of his system and then write the things he'd normally write and put that out.

He got to keep in touch with his new friends, went to explore Danceverse's with all of them and was finally able to let loose- even managed to get back in touch with his old rapping friends.

But... Wanderlust was the one that was around the most, always coming around at some point, even if they just walked through the city together, running across the rooftops, or went to another Danceverse, or something, but Wander was determined to be around him. Maybe to prove a point to his father.

But months went by, writing songs together and going to Scarlet's Palace together...

Until Jack asked him on a date. And he said yes. And they kissed. They started dating about three months after the whole battle in Eternyx.

(Also saying this now, I always thought Jack was the taller one until realizing that Wander was... so I'm just gonna throw canon out the window, Jack is taller now, fight me-)

They kept it hidden, fully hidden, from Wander's parents and their friends, and any media attention.

Then... Well the thing happened.

My explanation for Jack being in Swan tower is that he 1. wanted to try and get some of his things while he knew Night Swan wasn't around, and 2. try and free some of the poor servants. He couldn't hear Wanderlust calling out to him.

So now he has to go on an adventure to free his friends and his lover.

Now... how do I go about describing Jack's powers/magic? Said powers were lying dormant after Swan tried to take it from him when he was young, but she did it wrong, and he still has them, and managed to re-awaken them. Not sure what song he would be dancing to for it, (kinda leaning towards Hope by NF, with the right imagery and maybe a few lyric changes it'd be perfect. Like imagine Jack having a battle with Mirror Jack?? Hell yeah!) but it would be right after Tainted Love when he watched the ship leaving.

So... said powers include, the same thing that Swan did with the water in the pond in the tower, visions, but also memories. Also with that, kind of what Mihaly did with the signal they sent Jack. Another thing is swan wings (Lets be honest Night Swan just jumping to the top of the top of the ship looked a little... weird. So now Jack can look cool while doing it) another thing with water!... I guess you could call it water manipulation? He's able to control waves, and storms to an extent.

I could go on about the adventure he went on, but that's for another time (maybe)

Long story short, Eternyx was collapsed, Jack found out the truth about why his brother (Yes, Cygnus) left, and why his father was never around (Vester), Wanderlust was drug out of Eternyx by The Traveler, screaming for Jack, Brezz and Mihaly ran out of there through a portal Jack made for them before he went to leave a parting shot to Night Swan. Si'ha took him out of there before it collapsed, took him to her palace and tried to help him as much as she could.

Wanderlust had a fight with The Traveler in the SpaceTime Hotel, was essentially disowned by him, and Wander went back to Eternyx to try and find Jack, shit happened, he found a crown that Jack had made for him, found out he was alive but he didn't know where he was, and left to Dancecity.

Like a month goes by, people realize what happened, and Jack is blamed for his friends being in danger (He also blamed himself) and a lot of shit Night Swan did, and Wander is trying to both find him and defend Jack, to no avail.

So Wander, of course, tries to go to Jack's apartment, to their favorite places, to other Danceverse's, to no luck.

Discoball is actually the one to find Jack at Si'ha's palace, and they go to him, show him just how bad Wanderlust was doing while searching for him. Jack immediately goes to find Wanderlust, and he does, taking him back to the palace, where Si'ha was waiting for them to get back so Wander could tell her exactly what his father did.

Anyway, time passes, Jack is still being hounded by media and everyone else other then his friends.

So... Yes, this leads to Reputation and his first tour in four years. No one knows that he and Wanderlust are dating still, have no clue who the person he's singing about in some of the songs are.

While still hounded during it, he managed to actually get the proof of him not being involved in Night Swan's schemes, which finally put a stop to some of the massive hate he was getting. He also got his first proper award from it, that he got to keep instead of Night Swan taking it from him.

A year later, when he finally feels safe to go out, he's seen with Wanderlust a little too much, leading to rumors and eventually, them saying that, yes, they'd been dating for about three years.

That's when Lover came out.

I could go on about headcanons for award shows, but not today.

He just never went on tour for Lover, and his albums went on, and there was something going on in the Danceverse's that stopped everything (Basically the equivalent of the pandemic) So by that point, Jack and Wanderlust had their own home, and they were stuck there. (Their social medias were unhinged during this time) So both of them were writing a lot of songs, leading to the first album of that year, Folklore. He and Wanderlust wrote it together, which was special to him.

But because of how insane they both were going, Jack kept making more music and put out a second album, Evermore, while Wanderlust actually made his own EP with music that he wrote about his dad and about Sara (I may elaborate about it another time)

So, now, lockdowns are lifting, and people are going on tour again but Jack didn't because he now had three albums that he would tour for...

So then two years later, Midnight's comes out, and the next year, he announces his tour.

The Jack Rose Era's Tour.

This is where I mention that... Jack re-recorded his albums, so there's "Jack's Version" Albums. When Eternyx collapsed, so did everything in it, which meant the record label he was under (Night Swan's, which meant she also had the royalty rights to his songs because she's an absolute bitch) was also gone, which meant his old albums existed, but weren't under his name. This is where he got to do all the vault tracks and even some of Wanderlust's music that he never put out.

THIS IS WHERE THE ACTUAL ERA'S TOUR HEADCANONS START HOLY SHIT I DIDN'T MEAN TO RANT THAT MUCH

So!

Let's start with the outfits.

Most of the bodysuits are the mostly same as the real Era's Tour, but I can't really see him wearing heels, at least not the type that Taylor wears, but I can see him in wedged shoes, not full heels but something. As for the dresses, those are replaced with suits and/or jumpsuits (Maybe he could pull off a dress... maybe)

As for songs/lyrics, some have been changed for the sake of context

For the Lover setlist, I'm replacing Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince with I Forgot That You Existed (If I can figure out good lyric changes to make it fit, that might change) and The Man with ME!

Fearless setlist is the same, though. (I love Love Story too much, I want to change lyrics/context for it, but if I can't, I'll replace it with something but not sure what yet) He also has something similar to the Junior Jewels shirt for You Belong With Me because it's so cute, and he has variations in the main outfits.

Evermore setlist is the same (MAN do I have headcanons about Champagne Problems, I'm putting Jack through the ringer. And for Marjorie, Oh this poor man.) However, while looking into it, some things said that Evermore's set had 'Tis The Damn Season, while others said it was No body, no crime? so for now, it's No body, no crime. The outfit is a flowy and long Jumpsuit, same color as the dress, and he gets the cape for Willow. (I might make drawings of all the outfits at some point, but don't expect them to be flawless designs because this guy seems hard to draw for some reason)

Reputation is the same, so is the outfit, BUT! This is where Wanderlust comes on stage with him too, singing all the songs with him, plus songs from his EP that fit (A lot of the songs on that EP were written around the time Reputation was written). Wander is wearing the mirror image of the outfit, the asymmetrical sleeve and pant leg on the opposite side. Wander sings the second verse and chorus of every song, except his own, which he sings most of them completely on his own.

Speak now is the same, with the dress(es) replaced with a full suit (That would match the dresses, so there would be one with flowers at the end of the sleeves and the pant legs, a purple one that matches the ballgown, etc.) And Wander is back! Similarly in a suit that would match Jack's, and he sang Enchanted with him, first verse and the bridge.

The extra era, Lose Yourself! His outfit here is basically the outfit from the actual Lose Yourself beta map. Songs would be Not Afraid, (Em, but this one may change) Hope, (NF) 'Till I Collapse, (Em) and of course, Lose Yourself with a slight outfit change. Wanderlust isn't here for this one

Red set is the same, and the outfit, shirts, 22 hat and the coat for All Too Well. No Wanderlust here :(

Folklore set is the same, dress replaced with a long jumpsuit with a vest, plus a bit of a cape (there's been multiple dresses for Folklore, right? I feel like there has been. So there'd be multiple suits) Wanderlust is on stage for Cardigan, singing the first verse and chorus, part of the bridge and the last chorus with Jack. He's in a similar suit to Jack's, just more of sleeves.

1996 set! songs are the same, but the outfit(s), while still a two piece, the skirt is more like shorts. Wanderlust is there for Shake It Off because it's cute. He sings part of each chorus with Jack, plus most of the background vocals and part of the second verse.

Surprise song set, most of the time it's both he and Wanderlust on stage, both in similar full suits, just different colors.

Midnights set, all the shirts, coats and body suits are the same, so are the songs. Lavender Haze and Anti-Hero are performed with Wanderlust. Wander does the first verse and chorus for Anti-Hero, and the second verse, chorus and bridge for Lavender Haze.

The Tour itself goes one for nearly two years, with breaks occasionally. Of course, Brezz and Mihaly are always in VIP seats in stadiums with Wanderlust's parents (It's a little awkward for The Traveler, which Wanderlust kinda enjoys knowing. Has he forgiven him? In the process of it. Not something to elaborate on now)

Jack and Wander are only slightly unhinged on stage together, more during the surprise songs when they normally just talk a little bit and have fun.

The Era's Tour chants are also here, because I love them (so Fearless Heart Hands, 123 Lets Go Bitch, Jack you'll be fine/ Wander you'll be fine, etc.)

But whenever Wanderlust and Jack are seen in public together on breaks, it's normally on a rooftop together on a "date" (COUNTLESS pictures of them just eating together on a rooftop in Dancecity, or writing songs together) Or in Sun Horizon, or in a mall, or a restaurant, Scarlets, just having fun together. Seriously, if their seen somewhere public, there will be multiple times where they are laughing their asses off over the smallest things

There is a new album, but I don't think it's going to be The Tortured Poets Department, since it's not even out as of this post, but maybe another rap album?

Buuuut... the end of the tour?

The very last show, there was an extra segment at the end of the show, after Midnights was over and they were supposed to just go backstage, instead, Jack added like an extra ten minutes to the end... to propose to Wanderlust.

Which he, of course, said yes.

And that concluded The Jack Rose Era's Tour.

a/n: co-written by @nutellani and i. this was originally just going to be stored in my notes app because i had a big brain thought but then i decided that tumblr doesn't have enough tig content and i needed to help change that. i got stumped on a few things, so i of course asked my lovely mutual nova for some assistance <3 (tysm!!)

aaaanway, enough about that, here you go:

they obvi went to the concert in texas. they probably got tickets for both arlington and houston bc rich people yk

nash wore a sparkly cowboy hat and so did libby

(idc what you say, in my head, he likes glitter and i will stand on that hill)

in fact they all wore sparkly cowboy hats (xander forced grayson), but nash and libby's were matching

grayson ofc is wearing all black, very rep era but he's secretly a lover girl at heart. he also likes midnights because let's face it- who doesn't??

but everyone convinced him to get his jacket embroidered with "ts" and a few snakes along the sleeves and back to pull together the whole rep look

i don't think i finished talking about nash and libby?? anyway, matching sequin cowboy hats, nash wore a flannel with patches from different albums

him and libby spent a whole night designing it

libby wore a tee shirt from the midnights album

and the night before, nash and libby painted her favorite lyrics on some black cargo pants and some cute lil doodles

nash totally wrote N+L on one of the pockets inside a big red heart because i said so

thea is in her rep era because she's a badass so she wore all black with some maroon to make her outfit pop, she got her nails done and everything

girl was drop dead gorgeous

rebecca went with a more simplistic look, lavender flowly dress just under the knee, with a cardigan. yes, the cardigan. rebecca gives off very mellow and soft vibes so i think that's why she went with an evermore themed outfit

now, onto avery. i think her favorite albums is midnights and rep because of the vibe of the songs and overall it is just SO HER and i feel like she wore a shirt with the midnights album cover on it. she also wrote her favorite lyrics from the album on the front of the shirt with a fabric pen or something of the sort. i can also see her wearing a rep outfit too tho!! she is rich so since she could go to two concerts and wear both outfits ig lol

jameson is a total swiftie!! xander is too but we'll get to that next this boy would really like 1989 and a good handful of songs from lover because they remind him of avery

he would wear something 1989 themed but also something sorta flashy, i think

now moving onto max

she for sure loves the love triangle in folklore/evermore but also enjoys midnights

she radiates night owl energy because she'll stay up until 4am to finish a really good plot twisty dark romance novel and the whole track (midnights 3am edition) reminds her of her favorite ships. she makes edits and you can't convince me otherwise. although max does love evermore, she would totally love speak now era taylor and therefore would wear that really pretty purple sparky dress on the album cover!!

and with max looking like a literal princess, he would be mad blushing

and when he snaps out of his daze, he would tell her how pretty she is because let's face it- max is beautiful

now, as mentioned before, xander is a hardcore swiftie and i will always think this

to wrap it all up, they would ALL HAVE THE NUMBER 13 PAINTED ON THEIR HANDS IN DIFFERENT COLORS AND FONTS!!

and also a little extra because me and nova were having big brain moments and i HAVE to include it, it would be a crime if i didn't

due to the fact that i was up all last night waiting on taylor swift to announce 1989 re-record i was thinking about jamie having a swiftie partner. him invested in surprise songs with her, making sure she could go to the london shows, letting her dress him up in whatever as long as it complemented her.

DUDE IM SO EXCITED FOR 1989 TV I KNEW I WASNT A CLOWN FOR BELIEVING ALL THE SIGNS

But yes omg I can see him getting just as invested as you are when it comes to clues for the album releases, he’d get the boys to going the Ticketmaster War to ensure you get tickets (you absolutely end up with tickets for London and Manchester and then his mom comes with because she gives swiftie vibes) but I’ve seen so many couple’s costumes for the eras tour and I always think of Jamie!! One of my favorites was “tea time” vs “tee time” in anti-hero and today I saw a boyfriend wearing a “something bad” shirt as in I Did Something Bad and it made me think of Jamie immediately

now that i’ve had sufficient time to digest it i’m going to share my (spoiler) eras tour thoughts:

- lover set

lover and rep were my favorite sets. the opening is artistic and so beautiful, screaming cruel summer was a religious experience, the archer brought me tears, i loved hearing lover live even if it pains her to sing it :( the man was honestly never my top on the album neither was yntcd but they were fun to dance and sing to. plus the lover outfits are all GOD TIER i’ll fight people on this

- fearless set

when she sang ybwm i literally blacked out and ascended i don’t remember a thing but i was told later that the whole stadium was shaking. that’s how many people were jumping. this was in the 100s and 200s. and yes i did the double clap

- evermore set

ttds is one of my favorite and most beautiful songs. she had so much fun performing champagne problems and i love a piano moment. tolerate it didn’t do it for me but that’s never been my fave. marjorie made me cry so hard. our show was the first that did the lights and i loved taylor’s reaction

- reputation set

literally all of it was so good i wouldn’t change a thing except to add even more songs. lwymmd was always that bitch and the performance reminds me of the height of the mv like both are filled with so much imagery i’m still thinking about it

- speak now set

i love you baby but enchanted was never a fave off of speak now but i’m glad everyone else loves her so much

- red set

this was a fun set but as much as i loooove red/red tv this set was just okay for me. i think it’s bc i’ve seen so much red content and listened to that album soo much idk it just wasn’t a top one for me. i think if she played ones i loved (holy ground, state of grace, treacherous, better man etc) instead of the hits i’d feel differently. her performance of atw was show stopping though

- folklore set

mtr was beautiful and chilling how much heart she puts into it. i feel kind of similar vibes with the red set where if she’d played my faves (i’m looking at you mirrorball) i’d feel differently but it wasn’t one of my faves. but the folklore dresses are all serves

- 1989 set

wildest dreams live was soooo good and i heard mixed reviews re: shake it off but considering this was like 2~ hours into dancing it awakened something in me and i shook, my friends. bad blood was SO GOOD like SO GOOD but she’s always been a fave. the beginning of the set was cute too bc my love went to the bathroom and came back when it was starting and actually had gone to the merch line and bought me a tee shirt lol

- midnights set

i was honestly tired by this point lol. vigilante shit was just such a moment i was torn between wanted to record the whole thing and wanted to drink that tall blonde glass of water with my eyeballs. i still love that hard sit she does. i wish maroon was on the setlist but i know we cannot have everything. i loved bejeweled but the visuals for it were kind of creepy with the actual diamond eyes. it kinda reminded me of rep

- my surprise songs:

guitar: the other side of the door, high infidelity. i honestly have never really listened to tosod but it was so fun watching her sing it, and high infidelity was soooo fun to hear live on april 29th lol

piano: coney island, gorgeous. coney island was coincidentally a song i’d been singing a lot to myself but the piano performance of it was beautiful. i also felt v special that we got the first reputation song AND it was gorgeous AND it was on piano like literally dayd before i’d texted my friend how gorgeous on piano would be so pretty but what i didn’t realize was how fun it’d be lol

bonus: we also got the cat joke and when our show ended it was raining outside so everything was perf <3

I think I'd have to say reputation. It's the first era I properly participated on her rather than lurking, I loved her growth through the era and the fact she was proving everyone wrong and I got to see multiple tour shows (amidst a fabulous summer holiday), so, yeah ... that's the one!

12. Hmmm, I'm not big on merch - especially lately I don't think the prices match the quality (or vice-versa) or there's something I'm not that keen on with it. I got quite a bit of rep stuff because it was good quality and they had a great sale! Ooooh, maybe the 1989 mug. Or the 1989 album cover ringer tee.

The year was 1989.

Bodies moved against eachother in ways Mimi thought was out right scandalous beneath the strobe lights of the night club. She was never big for clubs, but a few drinks in and she was moving freely with the group of friends she’d come with, blending in all but seamlessly. She wasn’t here particularly to have a good time, but it was an added bonus. She was here for her.

Thao and her infamous crew bustled past the long queue without a second glance only sparing as much as a nod towards the bouncers who let them in with no words exchanged. Thao flicked her cigarette aside as she stepped in, and no one complained that they got to cut. They were famous for gods sake, and they were headed straight to VIP.

Mimi wait at the bar, like arranged. She turned away on the bar stool in disinterest as yet another man approached when Thao caught the back of her from afar, knowing her silhouette off by heart. She grinned, shoving the guitar case she was lugging having come directly from the show into the arms of the blonde haired drummer who grumbled and head towards the VIP section leaving the red haired girl standing there.

Mimi climbed off the bar stool and turned around, coming face to face with her girlfriend who was touring in her city— and God did they miss eachother. Within a second they had their tongues in each others mouth, Thao all but pressing her up against the bar, pinning her there with a thigh between her legs making the younger brunette pant against her mouth. The bartender made no reaction when Thao slid a bunch of shots off the bar with her arm in the heat of the moment, the two of them grabbing like they couldn’t get enough of eachother. It wasn’t really a spectacle, everyone was drunk out of their minds and the club in particular was known for frisky and well, gay frivolousness. It only caught a few stares because Thao was the guitarist in a notorious band, and Mimi liked to think people were jealous of her.

“Why didn’t I see you at my show huh?” Thao finally barely pulled away, mouth still hovering right near Mimis incase they couldn’t resist once more.

“I literally just got off work. They wouldn’t let me leave.”

“Quit that faggot ass job. You can travel with me.” Thao scoffed, reaching over her head as the bartender made her a short whiskey glass of something mixed with tequila.

“What?” Mimis eyebrows shot up but T was distracted already, laughing and shaking the hand of the man who made her drink. “How’d you know? You remember me from last time?” She laughed and joked with the man as Mimi stood aside, half listening to the banter between them and half deep in thought as she stroked the tattoo on her arm, which was toned from carrying instruments and equipment all day, the inked image peeping out from the tight short sleeve of her white tee. She knew her parents wouldn’t approve of quitting her job, but she didn’t like it here without Thao. She wanted to be with her all the time, see all of her shows. What was the harm in living a little? She could always get another job.

The man served up an identical concoction to what Thao drunk and slid it towards the brunette in pink, who pinched it politely as she tuned back into the conversation.

“Look, she swears by it. Now I dunno if I trust her taste, but she’s involved with a pretty lady like you so it can’t be all too bad.” The bartender yelled charmingly over the music as Mimi giggled, pulling the glass to her lips. Once Mimi began to drink it, Thao playfully tipped the bottom up a little more to make sure she really gave it a good go. She pulled the glass away nearly having finished it, giggling tipsily, lips red and wet from the drink and eyes hazy. “Taught you well.” Thao wipes where it was dripping off her bottom lip with her thumb before diving in for another kiss, a shorter one this time — but she wasted no time in grappling a handful of ass as she did so. “Alright, let’s go to the booth.” She spun the girl round and guided her through the crowd with her hands on her hips.

The brunette greeted the other band members who she’d met many times before tonight, already they were wasted — having been drinking throughout the end of their show. One of them poured champagne into the others mouth as Thao shook her head leaning back in the booth with one arm around Mimi, the other sticking a cigarette in her mouth.

“Thao?” Mimi called over the music, eyeing her profile close up. Her girlfriend glanced at her, otherwise keeping an eye on her idiot band mates now play fighting nearly bumping into bottle girls.

“Jesus. Yeah?” She side eyed the girl, shaking her head at the scene.

“Did you really mean what you said? I should quit my job and come with you?” She blushed. She wasn’t sure if it was the right time to bring it up, perhaps it would have been better to talk about back at the hotel— but she didn’t want to miss her chances, accidentally getting too fucked up tonight and disregarding the conversation entirely. Thao shifted to face Mimi a little more after blowing smoke in the opposite direction.

“You know I want you to come with me.” T tried not to sound hopeful as Mimi bit her lip in thought.

“I think… I think I might just do it. You got space for me?” She offered nervously and Thao grinned.

“Shutup. Really? You’ll come with us sweetheart?” She gripped her arm that was wrapped around her.

“Well… yes! I want to, I — I don’t wanna be without you anymore.” Her eyes danced between her girlfriends who narrowed them suspiciously.

“How fucked up are you?” She smirked.

“Its not the drink. Please, I wanna come.” Mimi furrowed her eyebrows like a lovesick puppy and of course T’s tongue was in her cheek at the double entendre, finding it sweet how the words sounded coming from her. Definitely not the first time she’d heard those words.

“Oh yeah? You can keep up with us?” She mostly joked, but Mimi fluttered her lashes nonetheless, taking Thao by the wrist and bringing the cigarette to her own mouth, taking a drag of it and blowing it to the side with an innocent smile. She didn’t smoke. Thao chuckled, taking that as her answer and they kissed again— infact Mimi was about to out right straddle her when the sound of a glass shattering and table breaking sounded from behind them, to which they brought their attention to the band— now fighting random men that weren’t there two minutes prior.

They were kicked out, jeering and laughing as Thao swore at them, giving them shoves to the back irritably once they were back out on the street before returning her arm around Mimi— but it was okay. The city was full of clubs and they could get into any that they wanted.

Taylor Swift's wardrobe is often influenced by her boyfriends and friends - Karlie wears a black turtleneck, Taylor wears a black turtleneck. Calvin wears a khaki tee, Taylor wears a khaki tee. You get the idea. Her 1989 tour kicked off in Tokyo, Japan this week and it looks like her tour wardrobe has been inspired by a certain best friend - Karlie Kloss.

During her set Taylor wore a full length, sparkly catsuit, much like the one Karlie wore on the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show back in 2013.
