"Lidovci" is a short name for the party "Christian and Democratic Union – Czechoslovak People's Party" or KDU-ČSL. As the name suggests, they're a Christian party and due to unfortunate political situation, they're one party in the ruling coalition. And they're kinda (understatement of the year) homophobic.

Yesterday, our equal marriage law was in the first reading, as was the law making it so that gay marriage is unconstitutional (yeah, both of those are up for debate at the same time, because this is Czech republic and we can't have nice things). Obviously, KDU voted the homophobic way both times, even though they had previously made statements that they would not fight it.

I did not have the balls to watch the debate yet, but apparently it was juicy and head-desk worthy.

So, yeah, kneecap those fuckers.
