you'd sit on the edge of the bed, stretching out your stifled limbs with a prolong yawn. feeling the seeping warmth of the awakening sun peek through your sheer shades pepper along your exposed shoulders and open skin. the soft fabric of Satoru's long white button up t-shirt rising up further along your plush thighs with each stretch you'd commence. the gentle crisp air conditioning embellishing along your supple skin with such a welcoming balance of the body heat you were just emitting from the two men residing next to you.

still half asleep and dazed out from a lingering stale of slumber, a shrill shriek jolts out from your throat as long, strong arms coil around your waist swiftly, pulling you surprisingly abruptly back into the lulling comfort of a bouncing mattress, warm embracing sheets and towering, stocky body heat drawing back into your skin. being free handedly maneuvered and stuck between the two "sleepy"men, nuzzled deep in between their bare, burly statures.

with satoru's head being nestled comfortably on your right shoulder and suguru's resting on your head, you could all but giggle and smile enthusiastically at the subtle, heartfelt clingy gesture they just pulled on you. bringing you back into their homely, enticing embrace.

"nooo...stayyy don't leaveeee" you can hear satoru grumble gruffly into your neck, pulling you closer into his embrace, lunging one of his extensive legs over your own and suguru's form. a soft chortle strolls past your lips, feeling suguru's large hands cling to your hips, pulling you closer into his inviting chest.

"quit being so rowdy satoru, it's still too early" his low, rasp voice groans in retaliation to satoru's childish, giddy scoff. places a tender kiss on top of your head, all while flicking at satoru's forehead lazily.

but wahhh… this is absolutely a fun question!!!! i doooo wanna preface this by saying that i legitimately love . all my moots’ versions of stsg. they’re all a little different so i go to different moots/other writers depending on what i’m looking for :3 i love love love the fact that fanfic births so many different takes and aus…. it’s one of my favorite parts of reading it!!!

i doooo have some versions of stsg that i’m partial to though!!!! gonna throw them under the cut, i decided to only go with my moots because i’m…… really scatterbrained. there are SO many other sugus and torus that i adore my brain just can’t pull them out at command </3 but i hope this’ll suffice!!

first of all…. my favorite gojos :333

niku’s gojo in general is one of my favorites ever ever ever but i’m specifically adding a link to bten because . bten lives in my brain <3 and i adore both bten!reader & bten!gojo more than anything….. ANYWAY . niku’s gojo is my favorite for many reasons but above all else he just…. feels so real to me . sometimes i have to remind myself that i’m reading a fic and not canon content bc her gojo just FEELS like gojo . it’s a little scary. i read bten and heard kaiji tang’s voice in my ear 😭 i think it’s sooo difficult to capture the balance that canon!gojo has, but niku does it so effortlessly!!! he’s so charming and guarded and annoying and kind beneath it all and i’m just….. in love with him . that’s all. i do want to strangle him just a tiny bit but mostly i want to kiss him.

sel’s col!gojo…. my baby my husband the loml. i adoreeeee sel’s take on gojo and the way he views/approaches love ….. and just like niku her gojo feels so real and so grounded!!!! sel has a way of rounding out her characters and making them feel so human, which i. adore. and it works so well with gojo. col!gojo is canon to me idc. he’s so relatable to me and following his story with col!reader was just so touching 🥹🥹 i . cried . every time he blushed or got flustered i fell to my knees . flustered gojo is really hard to get right i think??? bc it’s just….. such a rare mood from him. but it feels so perfect in her fics. col!gojo reminds me of a plant in the softest, most loving way and i just want him to grow and embrace the sun !!!!!!!! i want him to be happy….

another general pick; alexis’s gojo!!!!!! (link goes straight to my personal fav which is a very bold statement to make but i think abt this fic constantly)…. this is another gojo that just feels. so canon to me somehow???? every time i read her gojo fics i’m just like yeah…. that’s gojo satoru. that’s the gojo satoru that i love and adore. it always reminds me of WHY i love him sm and it’s just….. such a wonderful feeling yk??? alexis rlly captures what i perceive as the core of his character!!!!! i can’t tell you what it is exactly but i feel that so strongly!!!!! he’s my baby and i love him so so bad. he makes me so happy and he feels so human:((((( i just love him…. him and his self-destructive little habits….. also special shoutout to idol!gojo bc he’s just soo. yeah.

then we have io’s flower shop!satoru <333 the fic isn’t out as of rn, but i added a link to a snippet that i’m still swooning over….. i ADORE this concept and it’s so perfect for io’s gorgeous and flowery writing!!!! he was made for her fr…… i just really love the idea of a soft, gentle, smitten satoru 🥺 and him being a flower boy rlly scratches an itch in my brain because of his canon ties to flowers!!! the fact that he kind of views other people as flowers. or at least compared them to flowers in ch. 236….. i just feel like this concept is . genius. nature loves satoru and he loves it back . he’s a nurturing soul at his core imo and that’s not something i see people explore super often, but this au captures it perfectly <33

Lol imagining waking up in your shared bed, naked and deeply cozy in the over basking warmth and comfort of freshly washed linen and extensive, strong limbs caging you in securely. a small smile perks at the corners of your lips, embracing the welcoming extorting heat resonating from behind you. little huffs of warm breaths fanning across your ear and cheek, soft snoring following behind each breath.

You hum softly, extending and patting out your free hand to the space in front of you, which should have occupied with another lengthy body. your lips quickly swivel into a disappointed frown, heavy eyes slowly peeping open to see nothing but an empty vast space before you.

You grumble to the distraught sight, wasn't your adoring boyfriend Suguru suppose to be there? entrapping you with his radiating, lulling body heat?

You blink rapidly, shuffling away from the adoring embrace of the limbs lacing over you comfortably. a dragged out, gruffed whine following your sudden adjustment, a large palm nestling onto your bare upper right thigh.

Your head stays on the empty space next to you, now gleaming around the open bedroom for the missing body.

"Lookin' for Suguru love?" you can hear the tiredness in Satoru's gruff morning voice, your attention whipping over and down at the pouting snowy haired man laying next to you, his arm pulling around your hips to bring you back to his towering, burly stature. he croons his face deep into your neck, jesting just beneath the juncture of your jaw, inhaling your sweet, intoxicating scent.

"Mm, do you know where he went?" you'd comb through Satoru's messy, mangled bed head, giggling to his silly, childish groans and whines craning out from his throat.

"Said something about getting us breakfast or something from that new cafe you liked so much down the street" Satoru raises his hazy head up and rest it onto your soft shoulder, soaking in the comfort and softness your skin embellished onto his. rubbing his hands up and down the subtlety of your tender flesh, giving it loving, slow chaste kisses.

his lidded cerulean irises glances up at you, carefully studying your breath taking features. noting the rays of the sun peeking through the shades of your windows cascade beautifully against your complexion. hinting out all of the notable and enchanting little details that drew him (and Suguru) to you with much attentive adoration. the soft orange and yellow hues of the awakening sun decorating your flawless beauty. stirring the boundless love and dire affection he had felt for you, only making him fall even harder for you.

a gentle smile seeps into your cheeks, your hand engulfed into the silky thin tresses of frost, slowly trailing down to the flush of his warm cheek. noting that familiar pondering look start to graze his gorgeous features, earning him a low chuckle from you, brushing away the little straying strands from his contorting, pout growing on his face.

"What's wrong Toru'?" your kindred smile stays on your face, listening to his deep grumble bellow against his chest, his brows knitting in a silly manner, matching his ridiculous pout. he kneads in closer into your soften skin.

"...Why do you always look for Suguru in the morning but never me?" he whips with a slouched look, which only insinuates a genuine giggle from you. the look on his face warming your heart and soul, cupping his face with your hand you'd lean down to kiss his forehead, brushing his hair from his face to do so.

"Toru', I only ask because he wasn't in bed..." you tilt your head slightly, watching the puffing grown man roll his eyes.

"And if I wasn't in bed?! would you ask or look for ME?!" he flushes his face onto your side thigh, puffing out heavy breaths and holding onto you tighter. you laugh again, with more joy and amusement gracing your tone.

"Of course you dummy! why wouldn't I?! wait, don't tell me...are you...are you jealous Toru'?" you trace the tip of your finger tip along to the back of his ear, shuffling with the wavy strands of his fluff hair.

"...Of course not! don't be ridiculous, I don't get jealous" he gruffs out, fishing out another chuckle from you.

"That's debatable" the sound of Suguru's silk voice chimes in, the scent of strong coffee, freshly baked bagels and a hint of cinnamon wafts through the air. Invading through your nose, as pure delight throttles all through your body.

"Oh my god, that smells amazing!" you chirp with enlightenment and excitement, the mixed aromas of deliciousness stirring your body fully awake to it's delicious allure.

A humble smile stretches across Suguru's face, walks over towards the bed and carefully hands you the delectable hot coffee and a napkin filled with a warm bagel tucked inside.

"For you, my dear" he leans forward to give you a tender kiss on to your forehead, earning himself a glowing, grateful smile in return from you.

"Ah, Sugu you're the best! what have we done to deserve you?" you kiss his jaw softly, feeling the snug of Satoru's grasp around you tighten, abruptly tugging you closer over to his side of the bed.

"Oh my god, Satoru...really? he brought us breakfast, stop being ridiculous" you roll your eyes, taking a careful sip of your coffee feeling the graze of his plush lips press into the lush of your skin.

Suguru simply tilts his head in concern, but relishes in Satoru's childishness and selfishness with you. scoffing playfully, Suguru pulls out a steamy freshly baked cinnamon bun from around him, holding it out to Satoru as a peace offering.

Satoru's eyes nearly popped out from their sockets, the pure glimmer and joy that swelled in his brighten eyes, filled Suguru's heart with such adoration and amusement.

"...Alright, you have been forgiven Suguru!" Satoru practically licks away the descending drool dripping down the side of his lips, quickly consuming the delectable cinnamon treat within seconds. a satisfied hum purring against his chest, spiking the sheer glee and elation rising in Suguru's chest. a subtle smile homing onto his face.

Idkk I’m really confused tbf the manga really puzzled me 😭😭 (IM GONNA GO ON A RANT BEAR WITH ME PLSS 🙏 LOLL)

The afterlife chapter and how it’s shown, that he just fought sukuna for the thrill of it and not to protect others (students). I think that was implied by nanami when he called gojo a freak for enjoying and getting a thrill out of fighting them, while most sorcerers take it more seriously in a sense where they’re fighting for their lives and to survive/not get killed.. also what even is gojos motivation to keep going? This is a question I ask myself alot!! Is it his entire upbringing and how it was drilled into his head that he’s a weapon meant to be used or is it that he sincerely enjoys exorcising curses and it makes him feel superior (I find the latter more uncharacteristic of him tbh since why would he just do it for the sake of it?? It’s definitely draining to go on missions constantly and shoulder the responsibility of saving the world.. so does he view himself as some sort of a curse exorcising machine?…

Also many ppl on twitter call him selfish and uncaring towards others (his students,colleagues..) since he didn’t kill sukuna right after he got unsealed and waited for a month when sukuna got much stronger? Where he could’ve just finished sukuna off instead of dragging it into the shinjuku arc…

Also I really hate how in general gojo our smoll pookie baby gets soooo mischaracterized and gets called selfish, a philanderer, red flag, uncaring towards EVERYONE?? Some ppl even go as far as to say that he has a chronic god complex. <———— THIS ALL DRIVES ME INSANEEE

however, I kinda do think he has a superiority complex going on… Since he was put on a pedestal since birth and everyone praises him and considered him as the strongest and some kind of hero who’s only job/purpose is to constantly keep saving the weak… This may have gotten into his head a lil too much which shaped his perspective into him believing he’s superior than the other people who he must save from curses etc..

ALRIGHT . SO . i’m gonna try to adress everything in this ask but i am in fact scatterbrained so please bear with me 😭😭😭

well, first of all — yes, gojo absolutely fights for the thrill of it. the sukugo fight is a great example of this because it’s the only fight we see gojo let completely loose, but it’s an even better example because it also proves that gojo fights for a lot more than that. he obviously enjoys fighting, but i think you’d be missing a lot of key points of his character if you tried to say that’s all he fights for, you know? we know that gojo is fighting and training for the sake of making a change, of nurturing others, but more than anything else — gojo fights because that’s all he knows how to do. he was raised as a weapon. of course he’d grow to love fighting!! he literally has no choice but to live the life he was born into, and that’s the life of a weapon. weapons exist to kill.

i think his love for fighting is sincere, but it’s also a direct effect of being born as the strongest — do you see what i’m saying? gojo enjoys the thrill of a good fight, but there’s a lot more to it than that. and i personally think that he views fighting as a way to connect with others, not just an adrenaline rush. that’s kind of the whole point of the sukugo fight — they’re reaching out for each other.

aaaand that brings me to my second point!! i think the sukugo fight is like…. the most important fight to examine when discussing gojo’s character, because it tells us so much about him and why he fights in the first place. in this case — the manga almost outright states that he was fighting to teach sukuna about love. and this following part is just my own take!!!! but i think gojo cared about that on a personal level, that went beyond his duty to exorcise sukuna as a curse. gojo cared about sukuna. i think this is undeniable and that alone proves that he was fighting for something other than the thrill of it. he was having fun, but it wasn’t just because of the violence — it was because of sukuna himself.

and!!! it was also because of his students!!! i think this point is also undeniable. i reaaaalllyyy disagree with anyone who thinks gojo doesn’t care about them because it’s so …. obvious??? that he does???? he may not be the perfect father figure that the fandom often depicts him as (<- not complaining btw i eat that shit up), but he’s a good teacher. and he cares for them. he’s fighting sukuna for a lot of reasons, one of them being his love for megumi, who i’d argue is like a younger brother to him / the most important person to him since suguru died. <- that’s just my own hc really, but either way gojo cares for him!!! it’s obvious that he’s fighting with his students in mind, because he mentions them so many times. he is fighting to protect them. his character is built on a desire to nurture the youth, even at his own expense.

so, with that out of the way — let’s talk about nanami’s comment in 236. because i think a LOT of people misinterpreted it completely 😭😭 nanami mentions a scene back in premature death, where he exhaustedly asks geto why they can’t just leave everything to gojo. he then proceeds to say that gojo never cared about keeping sorcery going, or protecting people, and that his strength was all built on self satisfaction.

…. but notice that nanami is speaking in past tense. he mentions a moment in his youth, and follows it up with what his thought process was during that moment — to put things really simply, nanami isn’t talking about our gojo in this scene, he’s talking about gojo during his teenage years. the reason why the cast appears as teenagers in this scene isn’t just because that’s when gojo was happiest, but also to highlight how far he’s come as a person. how much suguru’s defection changed him and his values. teen!gojo wasn’t a bad person by any means, but he was definitely more selfish than gojo is now. teen!gojo cared about the people around him, but he did fight for self-satisfaction above all else.

our gojo doesn’t. our gojo fights to protect people, to make sure no one is lonely — not even sukuna — and because he has to. because he enjoys it, but also because it’s his duty to do so. there is absolutely a purpose behind gojo’s fighting. he’s matured a lot. he cares about a lot.

so, to answer your question properly: yes, gojo fights for the thrill of it. he also fights for a lot of other things.
