it’s interesting that in LMK red son was born with the ability to produce samadhi fire while in JttW red boy had to cultivate for 300 years before mastering the ability. maybe it’s a western thing to write magical abilities as inborn while the meritocratic east likes to view them as fruits of one’s labor?
