I know this is completely off topic, but as a vet working in a clinic for exotic animals who regularily witnesses tropical birds greatly suffering and dying from respirational diseases, please, anyone feeding their birds peanuts as a treat or otherwise should consider looking for an alternative. Peanuts, especially with the shell, are known to be heavily laced with fungi and increase the risk for your bird to develop severe aspergillosis. Of course it depends on a lot of other factors as well, but if you're keeping a bird with high humidity requirements, they're already at a higher risk in general if you're living in an arid region like I do. I know there is a bunch of other food items that can also be linked to an increased risk for your bird to get aspergillosis, but peanuts are unfortunately one of the worst.
Again, it might be a whole other deal somewhere else, so this might not be relevant for everyone, but I just wanted to point it out to anyone it might apply to, after the really ugly cases we had recently.
I think one of the funniest things I’ve accidentally taught my parrot is yelling “WHAT?” The best part is that if he says something weird and and someone else says “what???” he usually repeats what he just said. Like just now, I was cooking in the kitchen and he heard me boiling water so he asked “you wanna noodle?” but I couldn’t quite hear him so I yelled “WHAT” and he repeated “you wanna noodle?”
Tumblr media
Mostly he just likes yelling it, though.

A censored version of Nu: Carnival is coming to the app store... Which is not good
When this was first brought to my attention, I honestly didn't believe it at first. I mean, why would I? Nu: Carnival has advertised itself as an adult-only game since it's release. I rarely go on Twitter since it's a total shithole, but that's how I found out that the rumors were true. Nu: Carnival - Bliss, they're calling it. The overall plot, events, and gameplay will be the same. But many crucial changes will be done to the dialogue, CG, and audio. Long post ahead, but I'll be ranting about it below
Why is this a bad move?
There are multiple reasons as to why making a censored, teen friendly version of Nu: Carnival is a horrible decision. I might not get them all, but here are a few I can think of off the top of my head:
It is literally impossible to separate the nsfw from the source. Whether the devs like it or not, they made an nsfw game. After the first half of the prologue, the game opens with porn. You are introduced to two characters at the time — Aster and Morvay. That right there is already an issue. Morvay is an incubus. He is a sex demon who wears leather lingerie. While there is certainly more to his personality, his is very existence is sex. Sex is what keeps him alive and fed. Morvay is very open about his sexual desires and the topic of sex as a whole. He doesn't find it shameful or taboo. So... What are they going to do with Morvay? He can't be removed since he's bonded with Aster. Censoring him will have him take a MAJOR hit. Now that leads me to the second part of this bullet point: sex is a crucial part of the plot. Essence is what keeps Klein stable. Eiden and his clan's job is to use their essence to fix the gem altars so said altars can keep the essence regulated throughout the continent. While there are several ways to replenish one's essence, the most effective way is through sex. Sex also plays a crucial role in expanding on the plot and the characters. Sex scenes aren't just there for entertainment, there is genuine lore within the dialogue. Through sex, Eiden bonds with his clan members in the most intimate and personal ways. He sees his clan members at their most vulnerable moments, and through that they share a deep connection. You can see when sex scenes go from Eiden and whoever the clan member is having sex just to have it to having sex because they genuinely care for each other and want to physically bond. I could delve deeper into this topic, but I'm sure you all understand by now what I'm trying to say. Sex is not just an accessory or perk. It's part of the worldbuilding
Minors will not be able to escape nsfw within the fandom. Since the game's release, the fan base has been entirely made up of adults. Since we are all adults, we freely talk and post about the nsfw parts of the game. You go on any social media platform where Nu: Carnival is discussed, and you will see nsfw. It's a very casual topic in the fandom, and in a way it's something that bonds us together… As weird as that may sound. My point is, making a censored version of the game is pointless, because the source itself in inherently nsfw and the fan base is full of adults making nsfw content which is usually uncensored since the artists expect for anyone in the fandom to only be adults
Minors in fandoms often bring drama... Hear me out on this one. Not to sound like one of those "grr minors dni I hate minors" people, but kids in fandoms often bring drama and discourse. As aggravating at it is, I have to admit that it isn't entirely their fault. When you're in your early teens, you're starting to discover yourself. You become very opinionated and defensive over your beliefs because you're trying to figure out who you are and where you stand in life. You're trying to gain independence and autonomy. It's normal... But it's very draining. Since Nu: Carnival has an all-adult fandom, there isn't a lot of drama at all. Sure, you're going to have stupid people saying stupid shit to start drama, that happens everywhere, but those people are typically ignored because it isn't too common. With kids coming into the fandom and starting unnecessary drama, it'll be so much harder to avoid. Not only that, but kids don't have as much media literacy as adults do. It's not an insult, but simply a fact. Nu: Carnival delves in a LOT of heavy themes in the game. Some of which are stated outright while others require you to read in between the lines to pick up on them. Since the fandom is all adults, it's easier for us to handle these topics and discuss them maturely
Why are the devs doing this?
My guess? Money. The devs are part of a company after all. At the end of the day, all companies want to make money. By making a game they can put on app stores, the game becomes more visible to a broader audience. People who have never heard of Nu: Carnival before will see what appears to be an innocent anime game when it's far from that. All it will take is a simple google search for people to see the the game is very much nsfw and not something minors should indulge themselves in. It's dangerous for both parties involved, both the minors and the adults
But hey, whatever's bringing in the money, right? Sigh...

What the Bridgerton character you relate to the most says about you (based on the show and my opinion) *mostly unserious edition*
Anthony - older sibling part one. That or you are the certified glue that holds your entire family together. Also, fake arse cynic, I know you want to be loved and cherished you’re just scared it will never last or no one will ever see you that way. Control freak but I get it.
Benedict - You are the personification of the quote about grief. (In case you don’t know which one I’m talking about: "How do you process grief? By running from it until it finds me in the middle of a sunny street on a beautiful day?") You have been running away from something your entire life, whether that be yourself or a feeling. Newsflash it’s gonna catch you one day. That said, you’re probably also lgbtq and camp.
Colin - gurrllll… read Benedict’s first and then come back here, you also need to hear that. You are a quote on quote pathological people pleaser. SAVIOUR COMPLEX. Girl, they’re not gonna love you even if you can bend the laws of nature for them. You’re naive, sensitive and desperate for someone, literally anyone to understand and care for you. Also, babes… you’re not unworthy of love, you just have imposters syndrome.
Daphne - I bet you loved watching Zoella in her prime. I also feel like you’re the sort of person that is constantly expecting/hoping to bump into the love of your life whenever you’re in public. You’re a hopeless romantic but I get it.
Eloise - You’re probably LGBTQ. You might have started out a feminist with the girl power quotes but have since delved deeper and have since been more radicalised. You probably struggle to connect with overt "femininity" for numerous reasons including the patriarchy and the media’s portrayal of women but you support all women regardless. Your fashion sense consists of baggy tops, jeans and jorts (RIP Eloise, you would’ve loved baggy clothes 😔) Do you own a carabiner? You’ve probably had a fuck arse bob era at some point in your life.
Francesca - girl I get it, I really do. I hate human civilisation as well. It’s loud, it’s overwhelming, it’s scary. You’ve felt like the odd one out everywhere you go and people always seem to pick up that despite how hard you try to hide it . You just want to live in peace, maybe with someone who understands you. That said, how’s that autism diagnosis coming along-
Gregory - You are the personification of that vine where the kid has a knife. ("What have you got there? A KNIFE. no-)
Hyacinth - I just know you’re funny asf. Haters hate to see you coming because they know you’re about to gag tf out of them.
Kate - older sibling part two, probably older sister. If not, just like with Anthony, the glue the holds the family together. You can stand up to haters but you can’t say no to your friends when you want to. Sometimes you’ve just got to bite the bullet and prioritise your own happiness girl.
Penelope - …where do I even begin? You were probably the person that everyone just unanimously decided they thought was weird or unapproachable and it has messed you up indefinitely. (That’s on them though girl, there is nothing wrong with you I promise 💋) Family issues. You have imagined getting revenge on everyone who has ever wronged you. Body issues (girl, you’re beautiful don’t let anyone tell you otherwise) Short.
Simon - Daddy issues daddy issues. Emotionally constipated. You can’t believe meaningless sex and substance abuse didn’t cure you.
Philip - You have anxiety.
John: Introvert™️ honestly just read Francesca’s you’re both in the same boat. You are not afraid to dip once the social battery has ran out and I respect that. You know how to set up boundaries. Though, I think you wonder sometimes if you have protected your peace a bit too much because your only friend is your pet or your mum let’s be honest—
Michaela: LGBTQ. And you’re right because she is beautiful- I bet you love the film Bottoms. Favourite artists include Chappell Roan, Renee Rapp. You like Bridgerton in a gay way (the women)
Violet: You’ve never quite gotten over that one relationship have you… you would love the song loml by Taylor Swift 😔✊.
Portia: I feel like you have been told one thing you’re entire life and you’ve kind of based your entire personality upon that only to realise when you have grown up and met new people that it’s all worthless and the very foundations of who you are are crumbling as we speak. But you look slay while it happens.
Lady Danbury: I bet you’re expecting me to tell you how much of a baddie you are… which you are but don’t pretend you’re not wearing a facade to ensure you never get hurt by anyone ever again.
Queen Charlotte: Alexa play right where you left me by Taylor Swift.
Brimsely: your gay situationship has messed you up.

Higurashi When They Cry Hou Ch. 8 Matsuribayashi pt. 23
I don’t know about the idea of skimming over some of these fragments. They’re all generally important to the overarching narrative, and they’re usually pretty short. Ones like the Ooishi one I guess I could sum up pretty concisely, but I kind of want you to experience it the way that I did. The only difference being I don’t know if I can instill the small feeling of dread that I began to feel midway through the fragments. Dread because of the fact that I was actively enjoying the story as it was being presented by these fragments, and all. But because I was enjoying it, I became paranoid that eventually something would happen to put an end to my enjoyment and drag the chapter down. Would you believe me when I say I do genuinely recommend this series?
The old guy continued
Fun fact, this was actually supposed to be contained entirely within the last part, but I hit the screenshot limit without meaning to, so now The old guy is a split part.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know that the entire purpose of this fragment is to firmly cement Ooishi’s motivation and grudge against the Sonozaki family. But at the same time it’s just a bit of a skipper.
And that’s how the fragment ends with Ooishi declaring war on anyone who has the last name Sonozaki in his community.
One of the things I didn’t catch for whatever reason upon reading the fragment featuring the manager of the dam constructions death the first, second, or somehow even the third time, was the fact that the manager was the one who instigated the deadly dispute. That he’s the one who flew into a rage, swinging his shovel to attack the construction guys, which led to his demise. Somehow it just didn’t register until I was reading the fragment again for entirely unrelated reasons that it clicked that he was ultimately his own undoing. More to that point, do you suppose the foreman himself was infected with Hinamizawa Syndrome? Or was it the stress of the dam war that led to his fatal fight?
This somewhat recolors Ooishi’s revenge plot, as he is entirely unaware that it was the foreman who led to his own downfall much less the Sonozakis.
The first sacrifice
Tumblr media
With this particular fragment we really start delving deeper into some of the larger unanswered mysteries from the series. Answers, are ahead, in this the final chapter of the Answer Arcs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wonder why Irie is skeptical of the random chance encounter Takano had with this guy? It hasn’t come up yet in the fragments that he’s suspicious of her research into Hinamizawa Syndrome, so I just wonder why he doubts her. Would it be better for him if she had for whatever reason had the Mountain Dogs or herself stalking this guy on the off-chance he had the terminal levels they need? Does he think Takano and the Mountain Dogs are just cruising around Hinamizawa in their van ready to abduct everyone who might fit the bill? Do you think they use the Okonogi Gardeners van as their kidnapping van?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I might be misremembering, but wasn’t it implied in Onikakushi the other five guys who were compelled into this dismemberment plot dumped their body parts that day? Could you imagine if they decided to do it just a day at a time? What I want to know is what poor bastard had head, or torso disposal duty? That must’ve really sucked for them, at least if I was forced to dispose of a random body part I’d rather get an arm or a leg.
Also, I kind of like the implication that Irie has performed amputations in the past.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The line “I need a medical sacrifice” is such a wonderfully deranged line. Clearly this line of thinking disturbs Irie, but it just really encapsulates his character pretty well I think. He’s done this before, he has willingly dirtied his hands to try to solve the issues with the human brain, but as the passage of time makes people rethink former crazy and harmful individuals he’s having difficulty reconciling with his past. Perhaps it’s a societal thing, the outrage and furor over his previous actions of performing lobotomies without consent instilled him with a feeling of doubt about the correctness of his actions.
Tumblr media
I don’t think that Irie’s worries about Takano’s safety are genuine, not fully at least. He might on a subconscious level worry that she might get hurt, but I think he’s really just feeling trepidation over her tests, and the idea that they’re really going to dissect this mans brain while he’s alive.
Tumblr media
I love this problematic woman.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t know if manliness is really the problem here. I really do think he’s just being affected by the societal views about the ethics of his research in the past versus the present.
Something that I find odd about all of this is how despite the dam project being shut down in late 1978 to early 1979 is that the ministry of construction kept the foreman on the job. Was he just there to keep an eye on whatever equipment was still on site? Furthermore, why did it take a year for the construction worker to snap and murder him? Was he somehow able to naturally suppress his Hinamizawa Syndrome despite being an L5 terminal patient when he did the deed?

I really love how even though Robin is messed up in the fog that he still reads as a sympathetic character. Could you tell us what happened to him or why he has issues remembering anything? Does he want to leave the fog?

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you anon! I wasn't expecting such a sweet message in my inbox, and I would be delighted to delve deeper into the details of Robin's experiences - unfortunately I cannot spoil the lore I just finished ( it'll be posted soon! ) I'm glad however that despite all of his habits and uncomfortable mannerisms, that he still reads as a sad figure moreso than a purely terrifying one. He's lost a lot in life, and I want that to always be present; he will never be without his grief. No matter how much he tries to get rid of it. I can definitely go over the basics and explain his feelings towards Fog! Frankly that is long enough on its own since, despite the worlds that leave his mouth, Robin's feelings towards the Fog are pretty complicated and a bit all over the place.
A good chunk of this is because Robin truly, to his deepest core, does not remember what the world was like when he was in it. He cannot remember what food tastes like, what rain sounds like, and a lot of the things most people take for granted just don't exist in his mind anymore. Music, singing, the sweet smell of flowers in spring and the tweeting of birds nestling in the hazel thicket ... its all gone. That being said, he is very aware of the "lost" bit of him, and tries to hide his concern for the growing holes in his memory - but it really isn't working. It's part of the reason he instinctually is always seen wandering about the fields and forests, part of him still primally yearns for all of those things; but he's lost the words or reasonings to really explain it. If he did it would be like trying to describe the tones of a color that doesn't exist. I think he might honestly cry if he reintroduced to music or had someone show him that the organ in his church can actually play still!
Fun Fact: Robin never got to see the ocean, but he always wanted to.
He's been stuck in the Fog for over 150 years and each day that ticks on takes more out of him, and its forcing him to conform ever more to what the Entity wishes for him to be. The problem with that is given Robin is an actual human being, he can't be an unconscious tool for her use - but She can at least peel and strip away the parts that make him less than cooperative. The Entity gained that ownership of him once it resurrected him from his boggy death and forced him into the scorching light of the sun where every part of him that could not serve Her was burnt away to ash and blown off with the winter wind. Then he did what earned his entrance into the Fog.
But that's a tale for another day.
Within his lore, those tiny joys through nature were one of the only ways he could find any sort of solace as he had a relatively difficult life, granted it wasn't without its pure arresting moments of wonder ━ but a lot of it was riddled with grief and tragedy due to his bloodline. For this explanation I'll be focusing on the subject as its seen within Europe and more specifically the UK as that is where Robin is from, however there are other mentions of it within histories around the globe from various cultures. You see eating sins was an actual occupation, and a very much hated one at that; but it was a necessary evil in the eyes of many even if the church did not approve - and was practiced within the multitude of rural communities within the UK from the late 16th century to the earliest years of the 20th century.
I won't go into too much detail regarding the profession, but in short they were summoned into town when a death occurred. For anyone who had died without confessing their sins, a sin-eater would take on the sins of the deceased by eating a loaf of bread ususally placed on the corpse's breast overnight and drinking ale out of a wooden bowl passed over the coffin/body ━ practices varied throughout different communities but you understand the idea.
Abhorred by the superstitious villagers as a thing unclean, the sin-eater cut himself off from all social intercourse with his fellow creatures by reason of the life he had chosen; he lived as a rule in a remote place by himself, and those who chanced to meet him avoided him as they would a leper. This unfortunate was held to be the associate of evil spirits, and given to witchcraft, incantations and unholy practices; only when a death took place did they seek him out, and when his purpose was accomplished they burned the wooden bowl and platter from which he had eaten the food handed across, or placed on the corpse for his consumption. ( Funeral Customs by Bertram S. Puckle ; 1926 )
With the Entity taking away the comforting moments of his time alive; what does he really have to gain by trying to get away from the Fog? All he knows for certain is that the world he came from was cruel and he feels it is undeserving of any mercy that could be granted to it; how could he when all he remembers is the suffering he went through? He's deep in Her manipulations and genuinely believes the Entity is God coming to bring about the Fourth Seal and he's been chosen to participate. It's the only way his brain can make sense of anything that's happening to him, and he's really let it take complete hold of him. Any sort of compassion or sympathy or humanly bond is too late in its arrival, he is lost and he can never go home, both in the material world and in the plane of his mind. Or at least that is what he believes, but humans often overestimate their capabilities and their eagerness to be alone, and in comes a rather unexpected problem to his "I'll simply fade away into nothing and become what God needs me to be, and that is my purpose in this life" outlook.
Tumblr media
In steps the biggest wrench in his plans.
No no, it is unfortunate for Robin but @mxlevolence is clinging to his blood soaked hand while he hangs over the edge of his doom ━ urging him to not let go, and for some reason Robin is listening to them. Their relationship is pretty complicated but GF so intensely affects Robin's view of the Fog that it's impossible for me to not talk about it. Vicious at one point mentioned that "poems cannot even begin to describe their relationship" and I think that still stands true. Especially for Robin, who struggles to really understand what friendship and love are because he is relearning what those emotions mean and what it's like to not be completely alone. They've found a kindred nature within eachother, and few and between are the days that these two don't interact, even if its just one of them approaching the other like "and another thing!"
━ And Robin hates it.
Well, more specifically Robin's human brain is really satisfied and happy by the social interaction its getting, and he is genuinely enjoying the time he has with Ghostface as well. That said he knows he isn't supposed to, and it is wrecking his viewpoint; what was once so clear of a destiny for him now seems blurrier and blurrier the more the Grave Walker opens their mouth. He gets the concept. He does! But ... The sadder angle of the entire thing is how easy it would be for Robin to just grab onto the bond that he's made and find strength within it, he is so close to being pulled back from the end of himself, but he's terrified of the consequences that might not even exist.
There is also the very high possibility that somewhere deep within Robin he does feel an immeasureable weight for the acts he's committed, and that maybe he doesn't think he deserves to be saved or the kindness that comes along with it. And maybe he's right. Robin has done atrocious things in the name of his God, and has shown basically no remorse about them; but that's the thing about love and mercy; it cares little for how worthy someone is of it. Whether or not Robin feels remorse for his actions seems to mean little to GF so long as they get to be free together, it doesn't matter what he did. All that matters is who he is, and who he shouldn't let go of.
Tumblr media
Vicious kind of broke my brain when they referenced beloved Tolkien and I haven't been able to get the thought or the comparisons out of my head???? help???
There is something very curious about these two accidentally finding the humanity in each other that they're both desperately trying to erase from themselves ━ yet they're both like "NO NO NO" at the other doing it. How ironic that in order to save someone in the same situation as yourself that you have to take your own advice. Becoming a human being and accepting the weaknesses that comes along with it all to save a singular person is like ... idk man a massive fucking deal when you're talking about these two. It's almost desperate in a way. SO desperate in fact that Robin has found himself being a bit more honest and genuine then a Devil should be, and Danny has peeled off the Ghostface mask; things that they absolutely do not want to ever do. And yet! It's happening, and seemingly getting worse every thread.
I always find it really funny because Vicious and I were like "you ok if they die" "yes" "cool" and then we just let these two take the reins of the threads and tbh its been such a cool experience seeing them just ... exist and thrive! Well, ok maybe thrive isn't the right word, but steer the wriring? I suppose.
And there is the acknowledgement from Robin as well about his predicament, he knows whats happening to him, and what will. However at this rate, he's been so beaten down and sanded away that there's little left in him that can cling to any notion of hope, and instead clings to the glory of duty. It is an honor to serve such a reverent God etc etc. The delusion is very strong and Robin is happy to cling to it just as hard. Fate is unavoidable. They are to be given over to the jaws of fate one way or another, and he'd prefer the easier descent into the Entity's maw ━ and he wants that for Ghostface too. It would be a mercy compared to what could unfold if the Entity should grow to dislike them, and he does not want to face those possibilities.
Ahhh but you see, the cyclical issue of then "is he wanting Ghostface to just obey so his own horrors will be easier or is he worried about what the Entity will do to his dear friend should they continue to agitate it?"
From a narrative standpoint its relatively easy to see what part of that he thinks is true, and which is actually true. Robin will always be a man no matter what the Entity does to him or what he tells himself to be or what his village told him he was. And it is a very frightening experience to have that tossed back in his face and to reminded of how small he actually is within the grand scheme of things. His pain doesn't equal to any sort of cosmic destiny and the suffering he experienced was just the cruel indifference of the universe. It gets ever more unpleasant with the understanding that if Robin does remember what it was to be alive he will be standing face to face with the terrifying reality he's put himself in. Worse still is he's now being forced to confront it all because someone in this cold life cares enough for him to try and save him ... because as much as he will deny it and bite back, he wants to save them too.

INTERVIEW WITH A WRITEBLR — @my-cursed-prince
Who You Are:
Lyn || She/her
I’m a social science major who doesn’t shut up about her social sciences despite being the biggest introvert on this planet. Devoted a whole WIP series to it because why not?
What You Write:
What genres do you write in? What age ranges do you write for?
Action, adventure, fanfic, fantasy, psychological, and tragedy. Young adult, new adult, and adult.
What genre would you write in for the rest of your life, if you could? What about that genre appeals to you?
Bestie I don’t know my own genre. I really like things that delve into social issues, regardless the genre. I prefer fantasy setting though, because I can bend rules and it doesn’t require as much intensive research.
What genre/s will you not write unless you HAVE to? What about that genre turns you off?
NSFW. I…really don’t care for romance or sex. I’m not opposed to things, but I’m not looking for these things. I don’t care to write it because of this
Who is your target audience? Do you think anyone outside of that would get anything out of your works?
Adults. It depends? It’s a lot of deeper topics. Some teens might relate, but I don’t know if they would want to read it. It’s a slow-burn series.
What kind of themes do you tend to focus on? What kinds of tropes? What about them appeals to you?
Siblings. I’m really close with my sister, so I put a lot of sibling tropes in there. My best friend I’ve known forever. So I just sorta get the bestie is my sibling or practical sibling vibe.
What themes or tropes can you not stand? What about them turn you off?
Romance. There are very few couples I swoon over. Most I find annoying as they rely on sexist tropes or are overall super toxic.
What are you currently working on? How long have you been working on it?
We Lost Our Sunshine Series! Technically, five years! However, a little over a year consistently. I took a long hiatus in the middle. Ideas birthed five years ago. Ideas formed into fruition a year ago.
Why do you write? What keeps you writing?
To process social science stuff. I want to understand it on a more personal level. It also just helps me to process the world around me, and puts out what I’m feeling on paper.
How long have you been writing? What do you think first drew you to it?
About three years? I liked being able to play out the scenarios, and I noticed that writing helped me mentally too.
Where do you get your inspiration from? Is that how you got your inspiration for your current project? If not, where did the inspiration come from?
Social science major galore. I really just put my studies, internships, friends’ experiences, and personal experiences in this WIP. I try to make it as realistic as possible, because I want to pay tribute to these experiences.
What work of yours are you most proud of? Why?
Hmm….We Lost Our Sunshine? It’s my first novel, and it’s on my fictionate (Lynn Ellison). For a novel that covers such intense topics, I don’t think I did badly. I’ve edited it multiple times and out of all my WIP’s is the most polished.
Have you published anything? Do you want to?
Does it count to be on fictionate? It’s free though, so I don’t think so. Not really. I don’t have the mental energy for it, and it sorta terrifies me.
What part of the publishing process most appeals to you? What part least appeals to you?
None of it appeals to me. I have a huge insecurity that no one would actually like my work because of its dark setting, or that I didn’t try hard enough to research these topics. So….yah, not super into publishing. I also think publishers would want to add everything I hate into this project so there’s that too.
What part of the writing process most appeals to you? What part is least appealing?
I think just letting ideas flow most appeals to me. Editing is definitely the hardest, but it is rewarding once it’s done.
Do you have a writing process? Do you have an ideal setup? Do you write in pure chaos? Talk about your process a bit.
Pure chaos. I write shit and I edit it later. My characters talk for like 300 pages, and then after that we finally come up with a plan and I scrap a lot of it. It’s a pain in the ass, but it can be fun too. My ideal setup that I never do is to plan and go through with it lol.
Your Thoughts on Writeblr:
How long have you been a writeblr? What inspired you to join the community?
I wanted writer friends lol. 4 months. I’ve made good friends here!
Shout out some of your favorite writeblrs. How did you find them and what made you want to follow them?
V my beloved. No, they’re super supportive, and I super appreciate it. I get surprised they follow me consistently all the time. I’m like bestie you know how dark this world is, especially since they’re reading We Lost Our Sunshine which is darker than Scattered Sunshine and Poisonous Medicine. Which really says something about that WIP lol. I really appreciate the support, and it helps me feel better about my world and that I have successfully communicated that I try to put meaningful effort into my work. Also elizaelwrites (did I spell it right I’m sorry) is super relatable every time they post. I’m like me too bestie me too. It’s nice to see someone with similar writing struggles.
What is your favorite part about writeblr?
It helps keep me accountable in planning. I also like the interaction and tag games. I also make myself laugh with my shitposts loool.
What do you think writeblr could improve on? How do you think we can go about doing so?
Probably reblogging more? Or just being more mindful of hyping up other people’s work? But I also get that people have lives, different tastes, and I totally need improvement too. Also, all of us are in different time zones. It’s not really a critique, but a sad reality lol.
How do you contribute to the writeblr community? Do you think you could be doing more?
I try?? To hype up other people’s work?? I could be better tbh. Tagging people in tag games. I suck at tagging people after being tagged. It’s the introvert.
What kinds of posts do you most like to interact with?
Mmm….I like it when people reblog my excerpts. It makes me smile. I also like reblogging others excerpts even if I drag my ass.
What kind of posts do you most like to make?
Shit posts. It’s my notebook of things I need to remember to include.
Finally, anywhere else online we may be able to find you?
Fictionate! Under Lynn Ellison. I have We Lost Our Sunshine on there completed! Just make sure to check trigger warnings because there are so many. Also feel free to comment! The book is free!

Snape asks #16-18, if you're still doing them? Super excited to see your answer to #16, especially after your Eileen deep-dive.
Relieved to see I'm not the only one who has already forgotten I've reblogged this set of Snape asks before 😂.
16 and 18 are answered here (from the the first time you asked lolllll). My answers haven't changed or expanded much, but someone asked me once what I thought about Snape's family life and upbringing. It seems that subject might be a special interest now I think of it. . . but there's so little to go on!
And I do still feel strongly about what I said in the answer to 18, that a lot of the Snapedom seems to have taken the issue of his triggered, feral side not being adequately portrayed in the films to a bit of an extreme by saying he's a feral little man, when I think there's much more to him than that. As your own breakdown of his speech patterns showed, he's an excessively controlled man who has specific moments when he loses that control and becomes feral. I get why people identify with that and want to emphasize that aspect of him, but I am, unfortunately, a hopeless pedant and obsessed with character development and Snape's character is extremely well developed and rounded. Painting him as one dimensional doesn't do him justice. And hey, everyone should be able to enjoy characters however they choose because that's what fandom is about! I'm by no means unquestionably correct in my views, but I sure do love to argue them lol. The thing that I feel strongly about is when I feel like people make definitive statements about a subjective thing like a character, and do so in ways that leave less room for exploring that character and meta around them, instead of creating more.
17. What rubs you the wrong way about how he’s portrayed in fanon/fan fiction?
I don't really read fan fiction so I can't speak about that much, only about what I see on Tumblr. I don't think a lot of things rub me the wrong way, really, not even what I said above: he's a complex, rounded character and sure, it irks me when people focus on only particular aspects of him. But I also don't feel all that strongly about it. I'll talk about it in an ask like this, but I won't go out of my way to comment on anyone's post about how wrong they are or anything (though I might challenge their post for the fun of debating and delving into meta), because there is no right or wrong. The whole point of fandom is that everyone makes it what they want it to be. If someone sees Snape as a feral little man and that makes them happy or gives them catharsis etc. then for them he's a feral little man! If someone else sees him as a controlled genius and that's what gets them up in the morning, then for them he's a controlled genius! Good times all around.
Here's what it's about for me: I think it's interesting debating why he might be a feral little man or not, or a controlled genius, or whatever else, and poring over the text to find reasoning for why. But I don't have any real stake in this game aside from a love of literary analysis and character study. So it's not even that there are any portrayals of Snape that rub me the wrong way; there are portrayals that I might feel make no sense because my reading of the text is different. But I usually shrug and keep scrolling when I come across them on my dash. The same way that someone enjoys delving into why Snape is a feral little man, I enjoy delving into meta in general.
Fandom is about infinite readings of characters and stories and exploring their possibilities! That's the whole fun of it! I don't think there's room for hate in it, even though some people sure try hard to carve some out. Some people project onto characters, others just find joy or love in them, and it's all great! I don't have anything deeper to say. Snape is a fictional character - he's not real, go nuts! Who am I to be rubbed the wrong way by what someone else's vision of him is?

bpd in rules
something i want to talk about in regards to rules is to dig a little deeper into the inspiration for george’s behaviour via bpd symptoms. it might read kind of weird throughout the fic that george is in love with sapnap and dream yet the feelings are so unbalanced and he seems to process his love for sapnap a lot easier than his love for dream.
this is because a core element of the mental illness symptoms in rules is george having favourite person symptoms which is a bpd trait where essentially all of ur emotional stability and self worth is determined by the attention and affection u get from ur favourite person.
fps arent always romantic interests/partners, they can be friends or a family member or even a teacher who u really admire. balancing fp symptoms for one partner and normal love for another is really difficult, which is one of the reasons george seems to ‘forget’ about dream a lot. he’s simply not on his radar because sapnap is taking over his whole brain.
the withdrawals mentioned are a real phenomenon of bpd. going without one’s fp especially after a break up (or similar separation; in this case sapnap going back to florida after the uk trip) there’s physical symptoms of loss as well as mental anguish. lots of distress and ur brain chemicals going all out of whack because u literally depend on them for stability and self-worth. it can be dangerous without proper boundaries which is evident in the fic lol. the lack of proper boundaries within this dynamic like, the whole fic.
the issue is that george's bpd traits in the fic are completely unknown to anyone in the relationship, no one knows why he feels this way he's just batshit crazy and the only way he knows how to deal with it is taking control of the situation by adding rules (his bpd is comorbid with autism which could be like a whole other rant. but in this case i'll just mention it to highlight his need for self-imposed structure and routine.) thats another reason why he bumps heads with dream so much, he's got different ideas for their relationship and george is stuck in his ways and struggles to bend to other's whims and compromise.
so even though it seems very georgenap heavy i hope that as the fic progresses people can pick up that george loves dream very much, as evidenced by the line with sapnap where he tells him they're in the same spot on his mental podium. despite the fp symptoms he's rational enough to know that dream and sapnap are both his partners and he loves both of them, it's just his thoughts and behaviours that are warped. his feelings are set in stone and he's aware of them. (there's thing thing in cognitive behavioural therapy that's a triangle of feelings, thoughts, and behaviours that all feed into each other, and rules is an example of negative thought patterns effecting behaviours which effect feelings; causing dissonance)
now i'm not a therapist or even a psych student this fic was a lot of projection of stuff i've got rolling around in my brain, but ive been told so far that's its a reasonable portrayal of those comorbidities so i figured i'd delve more into my personal perception of it and my intent with the fic, even though i suppose the whole point of art is that my intent doesn't matter... just stuff to think about if u enjoyed the fic!

If you love and enjoy sex, you are not asexual.
I am completely convinced that a significant majority, around 95%, of individuals in the asexual community are actually "allos" who come here to masquerade as asexual. They promote the idea that "asexuals enjoy sex, love kinks, and find fulfillment in being a partner's sex toy"—essentially suggesting that having sex and meeting someone else's desires is amazing, even when they have no desire to do so and even dislike the act.
It's quite common for people to suggest "an open relationship" when an asexual individual talks about challenges in their relationship. However, this is a red flag response. The person likely knows about open relationships, and if they thought that would be the answer to their issues, they would have already opted for that arrangement.
It's interesting how rarely we hear discussions about how a partner, aware of their significant other's asexuality, can simply choose to masturbate when feeling aroused.
I've also come across numerous accounts of partners who initially agreed to a sex-free relationship only for the asexual partner to later feeling pressured into sexual activities due to gaslighting.
This highlights that allosexual individuals, who are driven by a desire for sex, would certainly profit from promoting the idea of sex being amazing in asexual communities.
Individuals referred to as allos can experience a wide range of sexual attraction levels, from high to low and everything in between.
It's clear that when someone perfectly fits your type, your attraction to them is intense. However, even if someone doesn't quite match your ideal, you can still feel a spark of sexual attraction, just not as strong. There are many instances where someone doesn't match your ideal type, yet once you delve deeper and appreciate their wonderful personality, they can become significantly more attractive.
There's a misconception that allos are constantly eager for sexual encounters with anyone and everyone. However, not everyone feels the urge to engage in sexual activities with strangers or even with someone they've been dating for a short time. This doesn’t mean you fall under the asexual umbrella. Nowadays, it seems like everything is hyper-sexualized, which can make you feel out of place. But remember, it's perfectly normal if you're not interested in being intimate with everyone all the time.
It's completely normal to feel sexual attraction towards someone as you grow closer to them (demisexuals etc.). If you’re looking to categorize yourself, you actually fit under the allosexual umbrella, which encompasses those with varying levels of sexual drive and attraction. Some allos may enjoy one-night stands, while others prefer intimacy with those they have a deeper connection with, finding them more appealing as they get to know them better.
When I discuss how some allosexual individuals pretend to be asexual just to push their views on sexuality within the asexual community, I'm not referring to all allos. I'm talking about those who spread harmful messages and attempt to manipulate others into believing that asexuals actually enjoy and desire sex.
It seems that nearly every time I come across discussions about asexuality, they focus on the idea that asexuals are all about sex. Rarely do we see conversations highlighting those asexual individuals who have no interest in sexual activity. Even when a post aims to represent asexuals who prefer to avoid sex, there's often someone who chimes in with, "But asexuals can still enjoy sex!" It's frustrating how these voices overshadow the experiences of those who genuinely want nothing to do with it.
No matter how much you might act like words are meaningless or manipulate them to fit certain labels, the truth is that words do carry significance. Some argue that you can't tell anyone how others identify, but in reality, you can. Your self-identified label doesn't change the reality, even if you refuse to see it.
Ultimately, it feels like some people are just collecting labels to shield themselves from accountability and shout "BIGOT" when challenged.
It's understandable why some might doubt the validity of asexuality, especially when there are so many fake individuals within the asexual community.

How to Analyze Facebook Campaign Performance and ImproveResults
This blog was originally published on https://digitalanalystteam.com- How to Analyze Facebook Campaign Performance and ImproveResults
Ah, Facebook advertising—the digital equivalent of throwing spaghetti at a wall and hoping something sticks. With billions of users scrolling through their feeds, it’s easy to get lost in the noise. One moment, you’re posting a cat meme, and the next, you’re running a multi-million-dollar ad campaign. But wait! How do you know if your ad is actually resonating with anyone—or if it’s just another pixelated flop in the vast expanse of cyberspace?
Fear not! In this blog, we’ll unravel the secrets of analyzing Facebook campaign performance and share actionable strategies to transform your ads from “meh” to “wow.” Whether you’re a seasoned marketer or just dipping your toes into the world of Facebook ads, we’ll break it down step by step—because nobody wants to waste their budget on ads that go unseen.
Understanding Facebook Ads Metrics
Before diving into analysis, it’s crucial to understand the various metrics available through Facebook Ads Manager. Here are some key metrics to focus on:
Impressions: The number of times your ad is displayed.
Reach: The number of unique users who see your ad.
Clicks: The total number of clicks on your ad.
Click-Through Rate (CTR): The percentage of people who clicked your ad after seeing it.
Cost Per Click (CPC): The average cost you pay for each click.
Conversion Rate: The percentage of users who take the desired action after clicking your ad.
Return on Ad Spend (ROAS): Revenue generated for every dollar spent on advertising.
Setting Clear Objectives
Every successful campaign starts with clear objectives. Determine what you want to achieve with your Facebook ads. Common objectives include:
Brand Awareness: Reaching a larger audience.
Lead Generation: Capturing leads through forms.
Sales: Driving direct conversions through e-commerce.
Example:
A local coffee shop might aim to increase foot traffic by 20% over the next month through a “brand awareness” campaign. In contrast, an online retailer might focus on driving sales for a new product launch.
Analyzing Campaign Performance
Once your campaign is live, regularly analyze its performance using the metrics defined earlier. Here’s a step-by-step approach:
Step 1: Review Campaign Objectives
Compare your campaign’s performance against the objectives you set. If your goal was to increase brand awareness, focus on metrics like reach and impressions. For sales, prioritize conversion metrics.
Step 2: Segment Your Data
Delve deeper into your campaign data by segmenting it based on different factors:
Audience Demographics: Age, gender, location.
Ad Placement: Facebook feed, Instagram, Stories.
Ad Format: Image, video, carousel.
Example:
If you find that your video ads perform better among users aged 25-34, consider allocating more budget to this demographic and ad format.
Identifying Areas for Improvement
After analyzing performance, identify areas that need improvement. Here are common issues and how to address them:
Low CTR
If your CTR is below the industry standard, consider:
Ad Creative: Refresh your images and copy. Use A/B testing to determine what resonates best with your audience.
Targeting: Narrow down or expand your audience to find a better fit.
High CPC
If your CPC is high, try:
Adjusting Bids: Use manual bidding or adjust your bid strategy to optimize costs.
Improving Ad Relevance: Ensure your ad copy and visuals are highly relevant to your target audience.
Implementing A/B Testing
A/B testing is a powerful way to refine your ads. By comparing two versions of an ad, you can determine which elements are most effective. Consider testing:
Ad Copy: Try different headlines and calls to action.
Images vs. Videos: Determine which format yields better engagement.
Audience Targeting: Experiment with various demographic and interest-based segments.
Example:
A fashion retailer could test two different headlines for a sale announcement: “Shop Our Biggest Sale Yet!” vs. “Don’t Miss 50% Off All Items!” to see which drives more clicks.
Utilizing Facebook Analytics and Insights
Facebook offers robust analytics tools that can help you delve deeper into campaign performance:
Facebook Insights: Provides data on how your content is performing on your page.
Facebook Pixel: Track user interactions on your website after clicking on your ads, giving you insights into conversion tracking and retargeting opportunities.
Example:
By using Facebook Pixel, an e-commerce brand can retarget users who added products to their cart but didn’t complete the purchase, reminding them of what they left behind.
Continuous Learning and Adaptation
The digital landscape is ever-changing, and so are user preferences. Stay updated with the latest trends in Facebook advertising by:
Following industry blogs and publications.
Participating in webinars and online courses.
Engaging with Facebook’s Business community for insights and best practices.
Example:
Enroll in a course on platforms like Coursera or LinkedIn Learning to deepen your understanding of digital marketing strategies.
Conclusion: The Facebook Ads Challenge
Congratulations! You’ve just leveled up your knowledge of Facebook campaign analysis. But before you head off to conquer the digital marketing world, let’s turn this into a friendly competition.
Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:
Choose One Metric: Pick one key performance metric you want to improve (CTR, CPC, etc.).
Create a Strategy: Outline a simple A/B test to run over the next two weeks.
Report Back: Track your results and see how you improved your performance.
Share your results with your team or on social media with the hashtag #FacebookAdsChallenge. Let’s see who can optimize their campaigns like a pro!
Remember, in the world of Facebook ads, every click counts, and every campaign is a new adventure. Now go forth, analyze, and may your ROI be ever in your favor!

Realme Smartphones Quietly Collecting Sensitive Data: A Privacy Concern Unveiled
In recent revelations, it has come to light that Realme smartphones may have been quietly gathering sensitive user data without the knowledge of their owners. The concern revolves around Realme UI 4.0, the Android 13-based skin, which has been specifically highlighted for its potential privacy and security risks. To understand how Realme Smartphones might be collecting personal information without consent, it is important to delve deeper into this issue.
Tumblr media
The Issue of Data Collection on Realme Smartphones
The discovery of this feature was first made by the popular Indian technology YouTube channel, Trackin Tech, during their review of the Realme 11 Pro+. Their investigation uncovered that Realme UI 4.0 comes with a system setting known as "Enhanced Intelligent Services," which is enabled by default on Realme smartphones. Essentially, Realme has been capturing various aspects of users' intimate personal data, which they would not willingly share with anyone, including their smartphone manufacturer. This data collection process is deeply embedded within the smartphone's settings, making it virtually undetectable to those who are not well-versed in technology. Consequently, the majority of users remain unaware of their data being gathered. https://twitter.com/Rajeev_GoI/status/1669760661868650496 The gravity of this situation has prompted a response from Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Union Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Skill Development, Electronics & Technology. In an official tweet, he assured the public that the Government of India, in conjunction with the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), will initiate an investigation into these allegations. Since its announcement, Realme UI 4.0 has faced significant criticism, primarily due to the excessive bloatware, intrusive ads, numerous bugs, and the presence of explicit content. While Realme has attempted to address some of these concerns, the serious issue of user privacy and security cannot be overlooked. If you are a Realme, OnePlus, or Oppo smartphone user and want to protect your personal data, it is crucial to disable the "Enhanced Intelligent Services" feature. Follow these steps to turn it of Now from Your Phonef: - Open the Settings menu on your device and navigate to "System Services" within the Additional Settings section. - Within "System Services," you will find the option for "Enhanced Intelligent Services," which is enabled by default. Simply toggle this option off to prevent your personal data from being shared with the Chinese phone manufacturer. Given the recent developments, it is essential for us to critically evaluate the devices we use on a daily basis. Our digital data and assets hold immense importance, and it is vital that no entity, except ourselves, has unauthorized access to them. While we cannot escape the reliance on technology in 2023, we must exercise caution and make informed choices about the products we incorporate into our lives. Read the full article

Note
i just recently read the recent chapters for because i love you and as always they were so comforting to read 🙂. Its not often you come across a story with such realistic characters with issues and insecurities that an ordinary person/ couple might face so its really refreshing to read. I love that although jungkook could be seen as the 'ideal' partner he still has his own issues and insecurities like anyone else, and the fact that he finds solice in oc is really sweet. Even though him and oc are so different from each other, and are at different stages of life their relationship makes so much sense and they really do work well as a couple, I love this story and your writing is phenomenal as always !!
Do you like reading stories with more realistic or mundane storylines or do you prefer reading something the complete opposite like fantasy for example? 🤔
I like reading both to be honest...I've really liked the style with Flower and BILY I've got because I really just love seeing the smaller moments with characters. Like...one shots are great and all, but short chapters like these let you get so many glimpses into their life as they grow and you really get to see them fall in love with each other, or why they do.
The small scenes just make me happy as they're little bites of fluff to enjoy. I like a good extensive world builder as much as anyone (look at some of my one shots, world building is My Thing) but I just have really loved delving deeper into 2 characters as they live and love with each other!
And thank you for your kind words on BILY! I'm happy people like this...just like Flower, I wanted an MC who feels believable and real, with real world things that most fics don't cover. Like...she's fat, she doesn't shave every day and often goes weeks without it yet he doesn't care, she's blunt and honest and they'll go through lots of things that people go through...being told she'll struggle to conceive naturally again in future chapters (not a spoiler, it's already discussed in chapter 1), how her weight and age will add issues to pregnancies, the struggles of IVF, his mum hating her and them not resolving that at all because sometimes, that's just life!

Alpha!Kaeya x Omega!Reader (Smut)
Pairing: Kaeya x You/Reader (Female Reader)
Warnings: Sexual content starts below the cut.
Extra warnings: slight breeding kink and possessiveness.
--------------------------
Alpha's were too possessive.
Beta's were little bitches.
And Omega's were too needy.
Nobody could deny these statements, nor could they determine what you were. There were many disputes on this matter. Many claimed you are an Omega due to your small and petite stature common among all Omega's. Others called you an Alpha with your feisty and somewhat aggressive behaviour, a trait common to Alpha's, though anyone would be on edge having to hide their scent all the time. So often people determined you were a Beta and left it at that.
Of course not all of them dropped the issue, the matter of fact that you concealed your scent was suspicious, it was something that not many did. Some put it down to the fact that you were still unmated with so more often than not, many over confident Alpha's who were in their ruts, would approach you, their scents stronger and muskier, more alluring than usual, trying to draw out yours, for you to only turn your nose up in displeasure, calling them disgusting.
Which wasn't a lie, all the Alpha's you have met had an over powering scent which was quite unpleasant, you desired something more sweet and alluring, something smooth and soothing, you realized that you would not find that person in your hometown so you chose to move to Mondstadt where you soon would find it.
Now even after you moved away from your hometown to Mondstadt, Alpha's would hound you daily, most of them gave up on trying to figure out if you were an Alpha, Beta or an Omega, you were a gorgeous and mysterious woman, who wouldn't want to mate with someone like that?
And today was certainly no exception.
"Come now cutie, I don't mind what you are, just come play with me, I can show you a good time," an over eager Alpha smirked, confidence dripping with every word. You held your breath, refraining from inhaling his pungent scent that made your stomach recoil.
"Yes so you and every other Alpha in this town claim." You scoffed turning from him, hoping he'd get the hint that you are uninterested. Instead he grabbed your hand pulling you to face him again.
"Unlike them I'm experienced." His scent became muskier with arousal, which only turned your stomach more.
"I could hardly care about your experience, I doubt you're that great anyway," you rolled your eyes pulling your wrist out of his grasp.
Losing his temper the male forcefully pinned you to the wall with a snarl, "you ignorant, untamed, feral bitch, you don't have any idea how many women want my pups. You should be grateful that I'm choosing you." He said it as if it was something to be thankful for, if anything you thought him feral. Before you could retort, you caught whiff of a familiar scent, a scent that sent you into a frenzy, your stomach filled with butterflies but you maintained your composure as you watched a hand grip the males shoulder as they dug their nails in deeply, the male let out a pathetic yelp as he released you to clench his fist and swing at the unknown third party behind him. His fist was easily caught and the males face turned pale as if he saw a ghost.
"C-c-captain Kaeya," his voice trembled, his once self-assured scent filled with fear.
"Lawrence my fellow Knight, I am quite disappointed in you, this behaviour is unbefitting of a Knight of Favouius," the ever cool Cavalry Captain spoke with a low voice.
"I-I apologize, perhaps my rut got the better of me." The named knight Lawrence shook.
"Its not me you should apologise to," Kaeya narrowed his eyes, nails digging deeper into his shoulder, you were certain he drew blood. Lawrence swiftly turned to you and bowed deeply.
"Please miss (Y/N), accept my deepest of apologies," he didn't move from his bow.
"Fine, just go away," you didn't care at all for his apology you just wanted him gone.
"Yes of course! You won't see me again!" Kaeya removed his hand from the other knight and he ran for it. Leaving you and the blue haird captain alone. You sighed deeply slumping against the wall you were still leaning on.
Kaeya reached out but decided against the notion, for he feared of your rejection. Although it wasn't the first time he's interacted with you, and even if during those numerous times you never told him to go away, or to go fuck himself, he still kept his distance. He didn't know when your attitude might change.
"Are you okay?" Kaeya spoke softly with concern. Even his scent that smelled like sweet wine and snow pine was etched with concern. Your face flushed, trying to keep yourself concealed was getting harder, the fact that you were going into a heat cycle right now didn't help, his scent was quicken the process. Around any other male it was fine, since their over-bearing scents had the opposite effect on you.
"Yes I'm quite alright Sir Kaeya," you smiled softly. The Captain couldn't help but chuckle.
"Come now, just Kaeya is fine," he gave a smile, not one that he showed to other people, but a genuine one.
"Alright then...Kaeya." It felt nice saying his name like that. If you stayed with him any longer, you knew you would do something you'd regret. As if he read your mind he spoke.
"Here, allow me to walk you home." He tilt his head to the side motioning his hand in the direction of your house. You gave a curt nod and walked with him to your house. It wasn't a long trip to begin with but it ended far too quickly for your liking as you soon found yourself standing outside your door.
"Thank you for taking the time to walk me home." You unlocked the door and turned back to give him a grateful smile.
"It was my pleasure. Have a good night (Y/N)," he gave a small bow before turning on his heel walking away.
Quickly you entered the comfort of your home, letting out a small whine, finally able to stop restricting your scent, the strain on your body lifting as the hallway was quickly filled with your smell. Your body began to burn, a fever being brought on by your heat. Swiftly you made your way to the stairs, but stumbled on your way. You reached out with your arm to the dresser in the hallway, your body slamming roughly into it causing the vase to fall and shatter loudly. Too caught up by the burning in your body you curled onto the floor letting out deep breaths. All you could think about was Kaeya, which all it did was made things worse for you.
Outside Kaeya hadn't gotten even three feet away before his ears picked up on the commotion coming from inside. His body tensed, as he rushed to the door but stopped. He wasn't the type to just barge into a lady's house but this was you he was talking about, he would never forgive himself if something had happened and he could've done something to prevent it. He'd apologise later for entering unannounced. So he opened the door and before he could even take one step inside your scent hit him in the face like a ton of bricks, your sweet yet salty Omega scent. Gods, you were an Omega after all. He breathed it in deeply, his wild and primal Alpha instincts were telling him to take you there and then but he shoved those feelings down as he watched you lay on the floor hot, bothered and so very, very vulnerable. He's never seen you like this, he's certain nobody has ever seen you like this. In your haze you could smell him, it smelt so good, so comforting.
"Kaeya," you mewled softly. His body froze, did you just call for him? Snapping out of it he swiftly closed the door, locking it, he didn't want anyone else getting in the way, he also took his boots off placing them next to your shoes. Slowly and gently he made his way over.
"Yes, I'm here," he called out ever so softly. You were startled, in a daze you sat up leaning against the dresser you had previously tumbled against, you weren't expecting him to actaully be here, or perhaps it was your mind playing tricks on you. Yet his scent was too real, but you were still unsure so you spoke.
"Are you real?" Your face reddened from your fever your hand reached out towards him. Instantly he took your hand in his and pulled you to him, you were surprisingly light. He held you tight against his chest, as he sat against the wall.
"What do you think?" He whispered softly. He held you close, your face pressed into he crook of his neck, where his scent was strongest. You pressed your nose against his neck inhaling deeply as you gripped his clothes. Kaeya let out a shaky breath feeling your breath against his skin. He could feel his control slipping but he had to keep it together, he would let you lead tonight, or until given permission.
"Kaeya, it's too hot," despite your statement you pressed your body closer to his, your hands delving into his clothes.
"I know," he spoke softly, he used his cryo power to cool his hands sufficiently and touched the back of your neck to try and cool you a bit. You arched your back letting out a desperate moan.
"Kaeya please," you whined now pawing at his clothes. His eyes thinned his voice low and husky.
"I don't want you to regret this, if you let me do this, I'm claiming you, marking you as mine. I won't allow anyone else to touch you," his cool hand that was on your neck moved to your chin to lift your head up to look at him. Despite your hazy state you understood what that meant, if he claims you, he would be your mate for life and you didn't want it any other way. So in response you smashed your lips against his with need.
Kaeya let out a small groan gripping your hips tightly. His tongue slipping into your mouth, his tongue rubbed against yours, caressed the inside of your cheeks, delving deep into your cavern, tasting you, unable to get enough. You moaned into his mouth some saliva dripping down the corner of your mouth. Breaking the kiss, Kaeya removed his lips from yours, he smirked and licked up the saliva. You out a needy sigh leaning in to meet his lips again, for Kaeya to lean away putting his finger your lips.
"Come now darling, I don't think this is the place," he wanted to make sure you were comfortable, after all this was about you. You couldn't help but growl softly when he stopped but appreciated his consideration.
"My bedroom isn't far," you spoke softly against his finger giving it a quick lick before grabbing his wrist and pulling him up with you.
"My, someone is certainly eager," he teased as you practically dragged him up the stairs. Throwing the door open you made your way to your bed where you made your nest, where many pillows and blankets were built up. Kaeya felt a tingling sensation, you could've taken him to a different room but you took him here instead. Holding himself back was indeed a challenge and then some. You had let go of his wrist a few seconds ago now, you were sitting in the middle of your nest looking at him.
"Kaeya why are just standing there? Come here." You patted the space beside you. You were inviting him in, into your sanctuary, into the place where you spend most your time nurturing and raising your little ones. The tingling sensation inside him grew. He was becoming unsure so he asked again.
"(Y/N)...are you sure?" His voice low as he stood at the edge of the bed.
"Kaeya I may in heat and needy but I'm not incapable of choosing my mate," You held out your hand to him with a smile. Kaeya returned your smile and took your hand. The bed dipped as he leaned his body weight onto it. He crawled into the centre with you as he watched you lay down onto your back offering your submission to him.
And just like that, the last string of Kaeya's restraint snapped. Grabbing the hem of your blouse he ripped it from your body. You gasped lightly in surprise, it was unexpected. Kaeya did the same with your bra freeing your breasts. The moment your chest was bare his face was buried into your neck. His tongue lapped on your scent gland, your back arched pressing your chest against his. In response he pushed down against you pinning you to the bed. You let out a mewl wrapping your arms around his neck, a hand finding it's way into his luscious blue locks. You tilted your head to the side, giving him better access to your neck.
"Kaeya please." You pleaded rubbing your leg up his side, instantly you felt his teeth sink into your neck.
He has marked you.
He has claimed you.
You are his now.
And nobody can take you away.
"Kaeya~" you moaned loudly.
Your mind began to swim, you couldn't think straight. All you wanted was him. You needed him.
"Kaeya, my Kaeya, my Alpha, please," you panted softly, "please fill me, give me your pups, please." Your sincere desperation drove him insane.
Kaeya removed himself from your neck to make quick work of both your clothing. He watched as your pussy glistened with your slick. As much as he wanted to plow into you right now, he knew he should prepare you so it wouldn't hurt as much, so he slid two fingers into you. You gripped his hair slightly arching your back, a gasp type moan escaped your lips. His fingers easily entered and exited your pussy. He made a scissoring motion, stretching out your walls. Your legs twitched in anticipation. Being impatient Kaeya deemed that you were ready. With the fingers coated in your slick he stroked himself a few times before lining his dick up with your pussy.
"I'm going to fill you real good baby, so good you won't be able to think of anything else but me." With that he pushed himself deep inside you, until he was fully inside.
You let out a cry of ecstasy, throwing your head back, "yes Kaeya!" With your neck exposed to him once more he latched onto it, leaving multiple love marks all the while thrusting mercilessly into you. Endless moans escaped you lips as you gave yourself to pleasure and instinct. Kaeya lifted his head from your love bitten chest. His fingers dug into your hips as he watched your wither beneath him. The sight of your disheveled body aroused him greatly. Hooking your legs over his arms, he spread your legs further, this new angle allowed him to hit that delicious spot inside you. Your walls clenched around him with every thrust to your g-spot. Kaeya growled deeply feeling the knot form at the base of his dick. Once it swelled he wouldn't be able to pull out, releasing inside you would be inevitable. But you did ask for it and he won't disappoint. You could feel his knot start to form, your hand gripped the back of his neck pulling his face close to yours.
"Don't you dare stop Kaeya," you warned him. He couldn't help but chuckle.
"Wouldn't dream of it princess. I told you, I'm going to fill, I'll fill you with my pups and I won't stop until I do. Until your stomach is swollen with my pups," you moaned into his ear you before biting down on his scent gland, marking him as yours.
Claiming him as yours.
"Fuck," he groaned feeling his need for release approaching like a storm.
Kaeya captured your lips in his.
"I promise I'll take good care of you," he panted, sweat coating both your bodies. He gave you a small smile as you gave into your release. Spurred on by your release and the tightness of your walls, Kaeya came deep inside you. You felt his seed warm up your insides making it's way to your womb. You let out a satisfied moan.
Slowly and gently Kaeya put down your legs giving them a small rub. He caressed your hair as he waited for you to come down from your high. Once your breathing returned to normal you opened your eyes and met Kaeya's blue orb as he gazed down at you lovingly. Your heart fluttered.
"I won't be able to move for a few minutes so bare with me okay." He spoke softly moving into a more comfortable position for both of you, rather than staying on top of you. Instead he moved onto his back so you could lay on his chest. He held you close rubbing soothing circles into your back. You closed your eyes in content.
"Kaeya, did you mean what you said?" Your eyes opened to look up at him still resting your head on his chest.
"About what? I said a lot things." He chuckled softly. You blushed softly twirling his hair.
"Well about everything."
"Of course I did," he cups your cheek leaning in to kiss you on the lips sweetly, lingering long enough for you to want more before he pulls away ever so slightly, "I love you."
You blushed with a smile, "I love you too," you said capturing his lips with yours.

*hands you an AU dump to hoard like a little goblin handing a small coin to a dragon*
OKAY so basically: after the doctor's visit where Izuku learns he's quirkless (I hc that they went when he was about five n' a half), Inko does a little bit of research on quirks and more specifically on her son's notebooks, learns that he's even more brilliant at quirk analysis than she originally suspected, and (after looking at some not great quirkless statistics) she instead informs Izuku that no, he's had a quirk all along! It's an analysis quirk!
So she updates the quirk registry, and Izuku goes through his life believing he has an analysis quirk, albeit teased for being a late bloomer, but he still can't shake the insecurity being quirkless for that one and a half year gave him.
He does research on all sorts of things, hacking, knife throwing, first aid, and building his own support gear and takes to all of it like a duck to water. He also does research on UA's policy for support gear in the entrance exam (cause surely they've gotta have a policy for non-offensive quirks like Koda and Hagakure) and finds that he can take one with him if he builds it himself. He goes fuckin bonkers.
Anyways: he trains with Katsuki, cause they're relationship is pretty good since Izuku has a 'quirk.' They both demolish the entrance exam. (Also Izuku kinda swears a lot because Katsuki rubs off on him)
Aizawa doesn't notice a goddamn thing is amiss until the battle trials on the second day (he decides to shadow All Might that day), where when he was using his quirk to silence his students while Izuku was rambling, he just didn't stop, as if he didn't notice anything was wrong. It happens again during the USJ.
So at some point during the sports festival, Nedzu (who is now intrigued because of Aizawa's complaining) invites Izuku into his office during a free period and lets him go ham on analysis, all while Aizawa is secretly there erasing Izuku's 'quirk.' Nedzu invites Izuku to be his personal student (making Aizawa go grey), he says yes, and then Nedzu drops the absolute BOMBSHELL that Izuku is actually quirkless. Cue an existential crisis.
(Also Izuku gets captured at the training camp alongside Katsuki because of his "analysis quirk," wonder how well that goes for him~)
- Goblin anon (sorry this one was kinda long)
GOBLIN?? DUDE???? HOLY SHIT I KNEW YOUR AUS ARE ALWAYS PHENOMENAL BUT THIS RIGHT HERE??? D U D E
i misunderstood the prompt a bit but i genuinely don’t know how to backtrack, so here you go goblin. sorry again o(TヘTo)
ok first of, inko taking on a stronger stance to support her son? love that of her. like, she doesn’t say sorry when izuku turned to look at her and cried that he can’t be like all might. instead, she took him in her arms and assures him that he will be a great hero. at first, of course half of it is lip service because she doesn’t know how to help her quirkless boy be a hero, since, you know, heroes need quirks.. (or do they)
and then she comes across a quirkless self help group which rang many many warning bells in her head. what kind of life do quirkless people live when a google research of them resulted in subsequent pages of results like how to stay safe when quirkless, or how to find jobs when quirkless, or quirkless mortality rates?
she fears for izuku, until she notices that her son’s smart. too smart for his age, but inko thought she’s just being biased. but izuku’s wit is something many people notice, for an instance, when izuku goes to the park to play and his friends’ (the few ones who stayed) parents tell her that her son’s smart for a quirkless person, she realizes that izuku’s wit is far more vast than normal.
then a thought worms into her head but wouldn’t it be bad to lie…but also, no one would be any the wiser.
further pushed by all the statistics she keeps seeing, or the lack thereof, about quirkless people, she makes the decision and pours it to izuku.
izuku who’s far smarter than his age and understood what his mom is asking from him. izuku who already saw the disparities between quirked and quirkless people at the tender age of five. izuku who knows what it means to lie about something as personal as a quirk, but realizes that it’s necessary for him to do so if he wants to live a “normal” life.
so he agrees; he tells inko that he’ll work even harder to sharpen his mind, and to keep expanding his knowledge.
when izuku’s quirk file is officially updated, he watches how his peers and teachers revert back into treating him as izuku. he regains his old friends, but he chose to drop them because he doesn’t want to surround himself with people who thought he was less for being quirkless.
katsuki stayed, surprisingly. katsuki stayed and everyday he kept bothering izuku to “get your quirk already!” katsuki stayed because he can’t fathom that the smartest boy in their class (of course not as smart as him, psshh) is quirkless. deku couldn’t be quirkless. (but if he found out that izuku, indeed, is, i wonder what would happen…)
katsuki was one of the loudest to celebrate when izuku announced that his quirk arrived.
“finally!” he screams and bothers izuku about the semantics of his quirk. he really wasn’t surprised to find out that izuku has an analysis quirk because he thought that nothing else would better be suited for izuku.
he doesn’t know that izuku pours so much of his time into learning and studying, often bypassing basics and intros to take more of the developed courses that are usually recommended for older ages. he doesn’t know that izuku is just a naturally smart kid with the ability to fill the gaps of his young mind with knowledge upon knowledge, storing and stacking them until he feels that he’s laid a sturdy foundation for his fake quirk.
then izuku began threading into different areas. he learns how to get into cyberspaces; hacking into accounts and delving more into how to access private information. he doesn’t thread too close lest he gets caught, but he learns the logistics of maneuvering around the web and burrowing in empty spaces to branch out his own. he creates and designs web algorithms for himself, just so he doesn’t trigger anyone who is looking into the web movements. he hones this and uses it to access more information.
then when he deems it enough, he turns his attention to something more tangible and something more physical. he learns other ways to be a hero; how to fight without a physical quirk, how to win against bigger opponents, how to use analysis quirk in fights.
izuku becomes more than a fake analysis quirk user; he creates it.
mental quirks are hard to describe, more so to compress, thus he creates new definitions of an analysis quirk. what used to be a silly lie is now a tangible fact that izuku believes in. because what makes a quirk? because what makes analysis a quirk? he learns these semantics (often political) and uses it to his advantage.
then he finally threads to hero analysis. at first it were classmates he analyzed; eyes running quickly at their forms and watching with great interest before calculating everything he’s seen and transversing it with the things he learned, and bridges these two facts together to create an analysis. it was a struggle at first: he didn’t know which to put emphasis on until he realizes, he doesn’t need to. he weaves them together and lets his analysis run long and watches how his hobby comes into fruition.
following his classmates are current heroes. these were more tough and more fun, and any of the information is less shared. he doesn’t tell his classmates or teachers about his analyses, only katsuki. and katsuki’s breath hitch every damn time at izuku’s talent quirk.
it is in their second year of middle school that midoriya begins to incorporate the facts with himself to create physical performances. the issues and things he learned through observing are now practiced by himself. he calculates the best way to fight with a body as petite as his, often taking examples from pro-hero hawks and other women heroes. their agilities and physicality suit izuku’s young body; he doesn’t see the merit in punching his way through things when he physically cannot.
so he learns ways to ease his muscles. he learns ballet and gymnastics; lets his muscles contort and mend themselves anew. he finds his balance and roots himself firmly, and learns to calculate his actions so he doesn’t waste his energy. katsuki doesn’t say anything, but he sees izuku’s dance and falls in love.
then in the spring of their third year of middle school, izuku learns how to build and handle weapons.
this is the easiest. izuku learns that weapons aren’t tools, but extensions of his arms and hands. they are not to be revered and not to be depended on because they can fail. instead, he learns to wield weapons as though they are parts of his bodies. he learns how to use swords and often narrowing to wooden sticks that can be picked up anywhere; he learns how to fire guns and how to hide daggers in his uniform. he learns that his body is the best weapon to use and that tools are just arsenal to help him win.
then he learns how to build them.
by summer, izuku begins reaching into UA’s servers. they are hard codes to crack, but not impossible. it takes him five days to access old entrance exam videos. the next day, the videos are snuffed and he is left to try digging deeper into UA.
he fails.
nezu must have caught onto his codes and proceeded to build walls against it.
so he slithers out. but a five minute video of last year’s entrance exam is enough for izuku because he learns two things: one, heroes must defeat villains and two, heroes must save others.
izuku prepares for this. unknowingly, katsuki is taught these same principles. katsuki would grumble and tell him that he knows what heroes must do, but izuku continues to hammer it down to him.
by the time of the UA entrance exam, izuku falls into the ease of having a fake quirk. he passes the written exam with flying colours and although it took three teachers to approve his support gears (present mic had to pull in powerloader, midnight, and hound dog to ensure that the well designed support gears are made by the hero student examinee and not by a support student examinee. majima saw the works and begged nezu to allow izuku to be his student.), izuku still succeeds and dominates the entrance exam.
when the zero pointer was released, he had flung himself towards the girl crushed by debris and yanks her out. he doesn’t waste a modified grenade to explode the zero pointer because through his calculations, doing so would not only create more collateral damage, but would also endanger the examinee in his arms because she still would be caught in the crossfire.
nezu hums in appreciation from the screening room, after all, smart minds always do think alike.
izuku gets a whopping 92 in the physical aspects of the entrance exam.
katsuki gets 85.
aizawa gleefully takes them in.
izuku thinks that no one will ever know of his and inko’s secret, but one look at nezu’s beady eyes and he knew that the stoat knew. it became a game to them, then. a game to see who else would realize.
and while izuku is smart, he doesn’t realize that nezu has basically taken him as his personal student the moment he and izuku had created a bet.
it takes two months for aizawa to figure things out. surprisingly, he is the only one to do so and he only realizes due to the many untimely attacks of LoV.
——
how angst would it be if katsuki realizes that izuku’s always been quirkless during their captivity in the LoV’s hideout.

I've had this discussion before with friends, but I wanted to delve into it more. In a meta mood today I guess, but I've been thinking while watching s4 (well, I've thought it for a while but it's glaringly obvious in s4), but ML has a huge pacing problem.
I know that s1 was more or less a pilot season. It introduced the concept and dynamics of the show, and they weren't exactly sure if it would get its feet off the ground yet, but seasons 2-4 so far have just had a lot of pacing issues.
And I'm going to preface this by saying that everyone who can't understand the difference between critical discussion and salt, feel free to leave. I don't care if you think the show is perfect the way it is. Go do that somewhere else. People can and should be able to look at the media they consume critically. It doesn't mean it's bad or that they hate it. They just fundamentally understand that it is flawed, and enjoy discussing the plot and its flaws on a deeper level. Refusing to see flaws where they exist isn't the positive power move you think it is.
Anyway, back to the pacing issues.
S2 and s3 had barely any plot. The plot we did get was trickled in. Crumbs. Now we got to s4 and Thomas has declared that every episode will have Chat Blanc levels of bombshells dropped as if that's a good thing. Don't get me wrong, s4 has been better than prior seasons, but I still leave every episode feeling like they rushed to cram in too much.
We all know how I feel about the love rivals, and setting aside personal feelings, the rivals from a writing standpoint were not necessary. At least not functioning as love rivals. Introduce Luka and Kagami, sure, but from a storytelling standpoint the purpose they served in s2 and 3 was just to be a cheap distraction. And they didn't have to be.
The big draw of this show is the love square and its subversion of the love triangle. Now people argue that it's realistic to explore other options before getting together, and while that might be true of real life, that isn't in line with the genre/style of this show. It wasn't a needed lesson, so to speak. They drew us in with the promise to subvert a specific trope in an interesting way, then immediately dragged out that very trope. And not even for any big reason. They just needed an excuse to keep the endgame ship split. And as we can see with how swiftly they dropped the rivals when they were no longer "necessary" as distractions, the writers were always using them as an excuse not to put the square together earlier. They knew the square's chemistry was too good and fans were going to be foaming at the mouth by s3 if they didn't do something. Then the second they have another excuse for the square not to get together, boom. Dropped the rivals.
You felt cheated because it was a cheap tactic, and honestly, it was so avoidable if they had just paced things better.
Honestly, I feel like Alya should have found out in s3. Granted, in order to do that they would have had to changed a lot. So this is what I personally (you are welcome to your opinions elsewhere if you disagree or enjoy canon the way it is) feel would have helped fix this pacing problem:
S1 was a bit unavoidable, and it works for what is is: a market tester.
S2 should have focused more extensively on the lore and Marinette's guardian training. We should have been introduced to Mayura earlier. They should have spent more time expanding Master Fu's story and the order's backstory. They could have created tension with the girls/Alya/Marinette's relationships by having her constantly sneaking around to either fight bad guys or train as a guardian which begins to harbor Alya's suspicion. They very well could have moved Master Fu passing his role onto Marinette to the s2 finale if they were more efficient with their time, leading into s3.
S3 could have had Alya finding out. Marinette becomes too overwhelmed with her new duties as guardian and being Ladybug just as she is in s4. S3 could have been her exploring her new role with her bff by her side for support while they begin to build up the Agreste plot more.
S4 then would have been free to expand the Agreste plot without having to crowd in so many other plotlines. Everything would have room to breathe. Marinette would have been busy enough in prior seasons to justify not dating anyone.
What the rivals effectively did was waste time that could have been utilized to develop the plot further in other areas. I get some people like them, but from an objective storytelling perspective, they were filler. When you write a story, like an honest to God professional story, everything has to serve a greater purpose for the plot and move it forward, and if you are experiencing pacing issues or a plot line isn't working, you have to make the executive decision to cut it or change it. I get that time constraints are a thing in TV. Executive meddling happens. Deadlines are tight, which doesn't always leave room for this kind of long game thinking. I also get that this is (I believe) the first time Thomas has been a head writer. Mistakes are bound to happen. It's how you learn and get better. I get that.
This post is more just me speculating what would have made things work better. For me. So backspace over your butthurt comments. Your precious canon is still untouched. I promise. This is just my opinion, shared on my own blog (and not even tagged). Go make your own meta post.
But that being said, I enjoy s4, but it still doesn't quite sit right with me because they are putting too many eggs in their basket now in an attempt to be epic and up the stakes, but in reality, it just leaves the show feeling really unbalanced. To me.
If you like ML the way it is, great. Go enjoy it, scamp. I wouldn't be here if I didn't glean some enjoyment from it too. I just like to think about things sometimes. And that's perfectly okay.
