“Don’t break them right away!” Atsumu shouts, following behind the first two dummies

“You shouldn’t go near them either Miya, they are expensive!” Sakusa scolds him

Meian, Inunaki, Barnes, Thomas and Joffe all just stand aside, waiting for the hype to die down

Bokuto and Hinata each grab a hand and began to dissect everything

“Oh wow YN, look at all the sparkles!!” Bokuto chimes, so excited

“I don’t understand how the shape is so perfect on every one of them! There is like no imperfections!” Hinata comments, observing your perfectly manicured cuticles

Meanwhile you just stand there, waiting for their gasping and oohing to finally calm down

“Alright idiots, back off of Yn!” Meian finally says, interrupting their party

“But captain, YN’s nails are always so pretty!” Hinata gushes

“They are very pretty-” Meian adds

“And YN is super pretty too!” Inunaki interjects

summary: Sakusa only wanted to focus on volleyball and had no time for romance, but what would he do if you, his long term crush that he himself didn’t realize, was in grave danger?

“Omi-san! Pleaseeeee!”

“For the 74th times, no.”

“Wow, talk about cold,” Atsumu laughed, watching as Hinata slumped in defeat after pestering Sakusa for 1 week straight.

“Nah, talk about rejection,” Bokuto commented, laughing, slipping on his hoodie.

“I think you mean desperation,” Inunaki added, watching as his opposite hitter trial behind the outside hitter. Meian wanted to sigh into his hands, his eyelids were going crazy trying to stay sane. For the last seven days, the Miyagi boy has been asking the ravenette to fetch you, Kageyama’s younger sister, from the airport. You had been overseas for so long and recently coming home, with Osaka being your stop since you were moving to Kansai.

The thing was, you were okay with taking public transport, but Kageyama was adamant about not letting you do that. Atsumu volunteered eagerly, but was quickly shut down by your brother, saying he was more afraid of the faux blonde being near his sister than letting her go overseas alone. Bokuto would love to fetch you, but he has his entire day booked with interviews and photoshoot on the very day you were set to arrive. The poor owl boy sulked for a few hours, until Hinata relayed the message that you would pay the team a visit to stop his sulking. Hinata, of all people, would love to pick you up from the airport too!

If he had a freaking car-

Which was why the only one left was Sakusa.

It wasn’t as if he disliked you, nor did he like you because to be fair, he barely knew you. Honestly, Sakusa didn’t even remember Kageyama having siblings, since his behaviour indicated him being more of an only child. When Hinata listed out all the positive traits about you to convince him, Sakusa only stared at his teammate and wondered if he was getting set up into a blind date or something. But he seriously just wanted to be alone on his off day-

“Just pick and drop us off. I promise, she’s super hygienic! In exchange, 1 month supply of Lysol.”

“Give me the time of her arrival details and the drop-off address,” Sakusa said immediately in reply.

“YOU ARE MY LIFE SAVIOUR!” Hinata exclaimed, and quickly sent the details over to Sakusa in seconds.

Sakusa rolled his eyes and looked at the message he received. You were set to arrive tomorrow 9:25 am in Kansai International Airport via Japan Airline, and it was a direct flight from Heathrow. Gosh, Sakusa could never do that. Just imagine the amount of germs in that still air for over 12 hours with a bunch of strangers and their god-knows-what bacteria.

“Oh, and this is the address that [y/n] is headed to!” Hinata smiled, dropping another text to Sakusa so that he can plan his route and its details. The ravenette glanced at it, and saw that the area that you were staying was just a few minutes away from their home base. Well, then planning a proper driving route wasn’t that big of a deal for him now.

“Alright, now that we’ve settled the situation with Hinata’s girlfriend, can we all go home now?” Meian asked with a clap, to which the ginger head retorted that you were just his favourite junior that helped him a lot when he was in Brazil, so this was just a small favour.

“I remember she was quite the cutie back then,” Atsumu mused aloud, “but Tobio-kun refused to let me get her number. Wonder how she’s grown up?” A cheeky smile grew on the faux blonde as he walked out of the locker room with Bokuto, Hinata, and Sakusa.

“She’s super cute, too!” Bokuto added in. He remembered meeting you when he dropped by Fukurodani during their summer training camp after graduation, and met you being mentored by Yachi. It seemed you got along with Kenma and Akaashi due to having similar energy. “You’re lucky you get to see her first, Sakusa! But I’m going to buy her all her favourite snacks, so I’m going to be her number one!”

“That doesn’t make sense, and I don’t care,” Sakusa sighed and made his way to his car. He sanitized his car handle before quickly getting in. He didn’t care about how you viewed him—he highly doubted you even remember him anyway. You two barely interacted aside from polite greetings once or twice during competitions. And it appears you were overseas upon graduating, so you probably met a handful of people that were more interesting.

“Thank you, Omi-san! Kageyama said he’ll send you a month’s worth of hand sanitisers,” Hinata informed, and Sakusa nodded.

“Guess it’s fine to do this favour.”

They soon reached the airport, and after parking his car, the two guys made their way to your arrival gates. It wasn’t a long wait and soon Hinata jumped on his feet multiple times, waving at you. Sakusa looked up as well, and his eyes widened by a fraction. He knew Bokuto called you cute, but right now you were more than that.

You were cute, yes, but your eyes were so beautiful and innocent. With the face mask that you were wearing, it only made your eyes even more prominent and bright. Your outfit was quite tasteful as well. You had a cream turtle-neck along with a pair of skinny jeans, accompanied by a long coat and boots.

You smiled widely underneath your mask, finally seeing your senior after so long, and net to him was Sakusa. Your heart might have stopped for a second as you realized just how amazing he looked. However, you haven’t forgotten your manners and so you removed your mask to reveal your face.

“Welcome home, [y/n]! Hope your flight was okay?”

“Glad to be home. And yeah, I managed to fly business class so it was tolerable. Thank you for fetching me Hinata, Sakusa-san. I hope it wasn’t too much trouble.”

“No way! Right, Omi-san?” Hinata asked, but he was met with silence. The ginger turned around and stared at Sakusa, which broke the latter from his daydream.

“It’s fine, you stay near our gym anyway, plus I highly doubt Kageyama will let anyone else fetch you,” the ravenette explained, scolding himself for getting distracted by your face. What the hell, he was starting to become weird. He must be staying near Atsumu for far too long.

“Oh, is that so?” You laughed softly at the coincidence, “then I guess we can all hang out.”

Hinata reached over and grabbed your luggage, asking if you were hungry. You easily decipher his hidden message, knowing he must have woken up and left home with an empty tummy.

“Oh, sooo hungry,” you said teasingly, “where do you guys want to go? My treat, of course. Sakusa-san, I hope this arrangement is okay? I understand if you have other plans for the day, you can just drop me and Hinata off and go about your day?”

Something about this offer you presented made Sakusa a little annoyed, and he shook his head. “It’s fine, we can go grab breakfast together.”

Together, he liked the sound of that.

“Eyyy, let’s go!” Hinata cheered.

Right, he’s here too...

But because none of you had any idea what to get, the three of you settled for the most basics of basics and headed to Kansai University’s Starbucks to grab a quick bite. On the way, you and Hinata were animatedly catching up; well, more like Hinata asking about your life in Kingston University.

Could have sworn Bokuto said she was a quiet type. Must be because of Hinata, was what he thought to himself.

Although he wasn’t one for loud noises, he can’t say he hated it when you speak so fondly of your time in school. Still, he felt his stomach churning at the fact that Hinata brought out this side of you. Even in his limited memories of you, none of them gave him the impression of you being so talkative.

He chopped it up to him being hungry and acting differently due to hunger.

“Oh, and I got to see Alisa-san a few months ago, too. How can someone look so good without even trying? I felt like a peasant standing next to her, they were totally judging…!” You gasped, clasping your cheeks as you remembered how much Alisa clung to you whilst people stared, and you were so self-conscious about your appearance.

“Alisa-san is very pretty, but you are, too! I’m sure people were staring because you and Alisa-san looked so good together!” Hinata grinned, and you felt your face heating up at such a compliment.

“Quit lying! You know they’re just looking at Alisa-san! Anyway!” You tried to change the topic after noticing a certain ravenette stealing glances at them.

To say Sakusa’s eyes narrowed into a slit thinner than a venomous viper was an understatement.

But why?

“This place is so nice!! I guess being a popular streamer like Kenma has its perks, huh!” Hinata exclaimed and awed, looking at every corner of your fully furnished house. Thanks to the moving company you hired, they perfectly set up your home as how you detailed and presented in a few documents you sent to them.

Your new dwelling was in Nukatacho, Higashiosaka. A pleasant 2LDK house in a charming neighbourhood for ¥16,800,000 (≈ USD $130K). Since it was your very first home, it did seem expensive. Initially, this abode was at the bottom of your list because of the price, but Tobio told you to just purchase it, with him paying half of the house as a gift to you. On top of your own income you made as a VTuber, and having your own successful merch line, this house suddenly shot up to your first choice.

“I’m lucky to have my brother’s help with this too,” you laughed as you came down from your bedroom after removing your coat. You opened up your house for invitation to MSBY, stating that they were welcome to visit after their training, since you guys found out that your home was lesser than half an hour drive away from their training gym.

“Awesome! Atsumu-san and Bokuto-san will love to! I think we better leave so that you can rest up, okay? Just text me if you need anything!” Hinata waved and gave you a hug before removing the house slippers, heading out the door.

“Rest well,” Sakusa did the same and went to his car, ready to send Hinata home and to catch up on his deep cleaning for the month.

Once they left, you mindlessly went to your sofa and plopped down. “...Rest well...” You mumbled the two words spoken to you as Sakusa’s face surfaced in your mind. You bend forward and groaned. You knew he became even more handsome after watching his matches but seeing him in person? Lord you hoped you were not acting weird in his eyes.

You decided not to dwell in things that already happened and went to turn on music from your sound system before going around to inspect your new home. Your family actually came to make sure everything was done correctly, and every aspect of the house was properly furnished but you just wanted to make sure since you were going to live alone now. Your closest kin was Tobio, but with him being in Kodaira, you would have to spent close too ¥16,000 and 5 hours to even visit.

No thanks.

At first your parents asked why stay in Osaka of all places when you could go back to Miyagi. The housings there were bigger and cheaper, plus familiarity isn’t such a bad thing but they should have known Miyagi wasn’t your first choice. It’s not that you had bad memories in your hometown, but you just wanted to move somewhere else. It wasn’t that big of a deal, honestly, but maybe your parents felt somewhat guilty about not having spent enough time with their kids growing up because they were both working hard to provide for three children.

Evening came sooner than you expected after having spent your entire day setting up your office, the only place that was left untouched on your request since you wanted to revamp it. With your work now revolving around online and merchandise, you figured a minimalistic aesthetic would help and thus working on it, wanting it to be a room that doesn’t stress you out no matter how hard you worked; you knew how surroundings would affect your mental state. You were a fast worker, despite getting a few calls in between from your family and friends.

Your phone rang with the caller ID of Hinata this time and you unknowingly groaned, dropping to the floor ungracefully. You were so tired and hungry but you have no food since you family couldn’t buy any groceries when they dropped down, not when your refrigerator wasn’t sent.

You picked up the call after a few ring, hearing your senior’s energetic voice on the other side.

“[y/n]! Bokuto ended his photoshoot and was wondering if you wanted to go grab some shabu-shabu together? Atsumu-san can pick you up!”

“Oh no it’s fine! I stay near the train station anyway so just tell me the address and I’ll meet you guys!” You said, slowly getting up from the floor to get ready.

“Awesome! I’ll text you right now!”

You received the address of the restaurant, Kisoji, and noticed that it was also near a train station. You smiled at the convenience , not needing to worry about getting lost.

“We’re meeting in an hour’s time, see you!”

“Got it,” you nodded. After hanging up, you took a quick shower and changed into denim shorts and an oversized turtleneck pullover before making your way out once you made sure all your valuables were stored in your handbag.

The train ride was horrible with the rush hours and you honestly believed packed sardines were not even as pressed up as you were during the entire ride. Maybe you should have ordered a car right instead but you just told yourself that you wanted to experience it once, at least.

And it was safe to say you hated it so from now on, you were only getting a car ride.

“Ah! It’s [y/n]-chan!” Atsumu was the first time spot you and waved. Aside from the setter, you saw Hinata and Bokuto as well, but Sakusa was nowhere to be seen. Were you disappointed? Just a tad bit, but seeing the rest was just as great. You were definitely going to post about this meeting on twitter just to watch your brother freak out finding it out on twitter.

“Thank you for the food!” You four echoed before digging in and catching up.

Fun fact/trivia:

I actually didn’t see the address of the apartment I chose for [y/n] until I compared it on Google Maps with MSBY’s home base and noticed they were in the same area. It’s complete coincident! So… it's meant to be *Kappa*

Sakusa: fine, there was one time, it was during one of our games with Alders. He drank from my water bottle that time and I was really pissed at him.

Sakusa: Aren’t you curious if my water bottle smells and taste like alcohol? You even played rock, paper, scissors with Hinata and Bokuto to decide who will drink it?

“That’s the last question for today, thank you for your hard work, Miki-san.” she bowed, thanking the expert.

“We aren’t done yet (Name)-san!” Hinata beamed, a sinister grin appeared in his lips. This raised a red flag in the back of her head. Uh-oh, I don’t like this atmosphere.

“You need to have some fun sometimes, (Name),” he said, chuckling as he walked away from the group. She just sighed in defeat and sat on the chair.

“C’mon (Name), it’ll be fun! Plus ya get a one-week vacation and Coach ‘ere will be the one to pay.” Atsumu said. The polygraph expert was attaching something on her fingers and chest. It was to measure her pulse, blood pressure, skin conductivity, and breathing.

The cameras were also set up in front of them, the blinking red light is the sign that it was already recording.

since atsumu wouldn’t be allowed to wear his wedding ring during games he’d wear it on a thin metal chain around his neck

either a silver or gold chain depending on what ring he has

he’d probably keep it under the collar of his jersey tho ‘cause he wouldn’t want it bouncing around everywhere while he plays, or hitting his face when he jumps and runs around

so every time he wins a game, a really difficult point, or a service ace, he’d take it out and place a quick kiss on the ring

he probably also has your initials carved on it

to him, you’re the only lucky charm he needs, but since you can’t be on the court with him every time, his wedding ring will have to do

if you’re in the stands, he’d look over at you while he holds onto his necklace, shooting you that award winning smile of his

sometimes he throws in a wink for good measure

if you’re not physically there watching him, he’ll point to a camera and hold up his ring

sometimes he gets carried away after an exciting point or serve and meian has to tell him to chill and get his head back in the game

i feel like at some point he'd probably just get a tattoo of your name on his ring finger especially if there are games / organisers that don't let him wear any jewellery or accessories

and yes he gets pissed if they don't tell him beforehand, and he spends the whole game salty and pokes jabs at the organisers under his breath

his teammates usually take the brunt of his complaints (sorry jackals)

he'll still wear the ring necklace if he's allowed to tho it's like his favourite accessory

anyway he loves you so much and he never stops thinking of you ‘cause he’s just a huge simp

i think one reason his ring is so special to him (other than the fact that it's his wedding ring) is also because you proposed to him first

but i mean if you didn't, the ring is still really special to him

and even though he's a pro athlete, he still gets nervous from time to time and knowing that a little bit of you is there with him, physically or not, helps calm him down

#1. @kuroomiya + mattsukawa issei.

now i genuinely think they'd be amazing together because mel just radiates bad bitch energy?? she's my role model, okay. the way these two would just go back and forth while teasing one another, and just have the best dynamic together blows my mind. ugh, he'd be lucky to have her. just imagine them having the most chill relationship ever. starts off casual, turns into something where they can't be apart from each other even if they tried because their relationship was idiots to lovers, slowburn, 20k angst but fluff at the end.

#2. @sunarent + suna rintarou.

look, it's in mother's username already. you don't even need me to tell you that these people have one of the best relationships ever. she's the wise one, he's the laid back one. they're probably the couple everyone's jealous of when they go out or something. he's the type to come out of a shower in a towel and hold up two shirts and ask what he should wear and she'd give him a detailed report. anyone would kill to be dating alice, she's a queen. this one is somewhat on the range of frenemies to lovers, he's stupid and she knows she likes him but she hates him so she doesn't tell him anything but in the end one of them screams "because i love you" and boom, kiss and makeup.

#3. @tetsvhoe + kuroo tetsurou.

yk what? gwen and kuroo are the happy-go-lucky couple. they're akways teasing each other, being corny with the chemistry jokes that gwen doesn't understand until kuroo explains it to her and then she starts laughing loudly. they're the type of couple who watch over each other and smile to themselves when they see their partner sleep peacefully(even if one of them snores, it's still cute okay). definitely a best friends to lovers type of beat. they're both dumb though. so it's probably gonna take a long time for them to come together. they'll date other people to secretly block out their feelings for their best friend because they "don't wanna ruin the friendship" but in the end, the universe puts doen a card for them. and boom, now you can't pull them away from each other.

#4. @roanniee + tendou satori.

ro is one of the most expressive, caring, protective, wise person i've ever known. she's compassionate, she's there when someone needs her. she's comforting, and to tendou, she feels like home. they're definitely childhood friends or something, and when tendou gets bullied, she throws a stick at the bully's head and beats them up for him. they grow up, they're still best friends. slowly but surely ro realizes she loves him. she's scared so she avoids him. until one day, he confronts her. and he tells her he loves her so he can't lose her. he begs her to tell him if he did something wrong, but she smiles and gives him a peck, saying she loves him too. it took some time(years) for them to tell each other they love one another, but that's okay. everything works out in the end.

#5. @lovemeian + iwaizumi hajime.

now, i know for a fact that lavi is the BIGGEST meian shugo simp. BUT. imagine how cute it would be to watch these two interact. it’s young puppy love for their whole lives. yes they have their lows but they know each other so well that they talk it out and solve it. idiots to lovers, sure, but god it’s amazing when they both find out the two of them love each other. just imagine both of them completely quiet and blushing as they glance at each other every two seconds then laugh a couple minutes later. then they ask each other out for coffee at the same time and laugh some more. it’s tooth-rottingly sweet and it makes me want to believe in true love and soulmates. they’re the type to grow old together and joke about the stupid teenagers they were who couldn’t understand they loved each other and it makes me wanna cry as if it’s a rom-com movie that i’m watching at 3 am with strawberry icecream.

#6. @rindough + fushiguro megumi.

pb and gumi are so sweet together it’s scary. teenage idiots in love, understand each other in a way no one else can, always there for one another, it’s just warm fuzzy happiness. it’s adorable the way they know each other like the back of their hands. definitely a soulmates au, but it’s not like the red string one or where names appear on their wrists. no, it’s where two people are made for one another and it’s the most beautiful thing in the world.

#7. @tsukkiangel + miya atsumu.

now i know eris is basically in love with tsukishima but listen. piss hair and miss nurse are gonna be perfect together. she makes up for his stupidity and he makes up for her denseness. he’s more carefree, but she’s more centered. if atsumu is the tornado, then eris is the eye. she’s calm, composed, and atsumu is the total opposite. this is the perfect case of opposites attract(even though most of the times it sucks, but with these two? it’s amazing. you can’t even argue here). they have small bickerings all the time. they probably get called an old married couple by someone random every other day. think of something like school “acquaintances” but they meet each other in college and become friends and then lovers. always liked one another since high school, and now they’re acting on it <3

#8. @aurelius-divus + gojo satoru.

i honestly don’t think anyone else can put gojo satoru in place other than aurelius. they’re the perfect person to just... tease the shit out of him and get away with it. and he will blush. guaranteed. he’s gonna be so flustered when aurelius is done with him. they’re incredible, headstrong, and even though gojo is a bit childish sometimes(aurelius is too, they’re just less childish than satoru and more of the h word) but aurelius will keep him grounded. they’re both bringing almost equal amounts to the table here. everything is balanced, and i’m pretty sure you can’t find a more serious yet fun relationship anywhere else.

↬ AN: this is all for your skiyoomi’s simp (also me?) and is this self-indulge? Absolutely. Did I write this fic instead of writing my assignments? Absolutely, I wrote a short iwaoi for Twitter HQ angst week and this one. Do I want to baby kiyoomi? Absolutely. Am I obssesd over his moles? Absolutely as someone who has two moles on their nose. Is this a song fic? Absolutely so listen to POV by Ariana Grande Yuh!

You tugged your mask that covered half your face opened, showing your face to the man standing between you and your beloved. He smiled when he saw your face, saying that the boys will be done in a few minutes more and greeted you with a warm smile. You nodded happily, tugging the mask open, one hand tight with a bottle of hand sanitizer.

Just as you entered the familiar gym where the MSBY’s boys were at, Meian catches your sight first, running towards you having enough of whatever was going on with the loud snickers and growling. “Y/n!! You came at the right time; you must save Kiyoomi from murdering ‘Tsumu in cold blood.” He stifled a giggle as your expression didn’t even change.

Atsumu and Kiyoomi bickering everytime was a normal occurrence to you so you weren't that concerned at all. “AH!! Y/N-CHAN!!” Atsumu was the first one who spotted you first as he ran towards you in full speed, making you slightly panicked causing you to run sideways as fast as you could making you bump more into Meian who managed to catch you before you fell.

“Tsumu-chan, you scared them!” You heard Bokuto whined at Atsumu for you. You laughed as you thanked Meian and skipped ahead to where your 6 years and counting boyfriend stood. You watched silently as he just stared at you and you knew there was something amiss about him. “Go, take a shower, I’ll be waiting here.” You softly said to him and he nodded but his pinky was lingering on yours longer than usual.

He went first and you turned towards Hinata who had a curt smile on his face, knowing that you’ll ask him. “What ticked him off?” He nervously glanced at Atsumu but the smile was still plastered on his face. You sighed thanking him before urging him to the showers, keeping your gaze on Atsumu who was laughing with Bokuto. It must have been something that Atsumu questioned and had said that made Kiyoomi like that.

You stared at the rearview mirror, your eyes catching Kiyoomi’s as he drives in silent with the radio accompanied you guys on your journey back home. “How was your day?” Your eyes glistened, usually after telling him how your days went, he would tell you, his but today he just kept to himself and it raised your suspicion even more when one of his hands were on your thighs. It’s not like you minded his hand on your body, but it was just unusual for you.

He sat there eating his dinner in silence as you rambled on about your day and things that seemed interseting. Kiyoomi wasn’t much of a talker but this volume of silence is enough for you to know that he was overthinking somethings. Was it something about volleyball? You wondered silently but shook your head since you knew Kiyoomi is confident in his abilities and he isn't one to be swallowed in his weaknesses and instead focus on improving himself.

“You know that I love you right?” He had said suddenly while you were doing the dishes that you almost dropped the mug that was in your hands. You stiffled a laughter, “Of course Oomi and I love you too.” You said without looking back at him standing near the kitchen island. “Y/n...” He called out to you again, but you only hummed in responses and thought nothing of it until you felt a hand sneaked to your waist, holding you tight. “I was afraid that you didn’t know.” He mumbled inaudibly but you managed to catch that.

You smile to yourself and realised. ‘Ah, Atsumu must have said something that made him doubt himself in regard to your relationship.’ Ofcourse you know how much Kiyoomi loves you. You’ve been with him since high school and you are definitely aware of his language of love. You just wished that Kiyoomi can see in your point of view of how happy he made you. If there was a way for you to show your pov of his love to you, you would.

“Oh, Oomi” You softly cooed at him, taking his hand in yours as you led him to your vanity mirror. You let him sit at the stool where you usual sat when you get ready every morning. “What do you see Oomi?” One of your hands was on shoulders while the other was caressing his soft curls. He relaxed more under your touch, but his uncertainties only grew larger as both of you stared back at your reflection in the mirror.

“Us?” He answered without much thought. “And look at my expression?” You asked again, smiling in the mirror as wide as you can to show him, hoping that he’ll get your message. “You’re smiling?” There were uncertainties in his voice, and you hated that. You hated that he doubts himself when it comes to loving you.

“Yeah, I’m smiling." Your hand sneaked to tilt his head upwards to face you as you planted a soft kiss on his forehead once, “You want to know why I’m smiling?” He only hummed in response as your lips went towards the two moles kissing it softly as he closed his eyes, “Cause I’m with you.”

Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough for Kiyoomi to lose his doubts. He kept thinking that you stayed with him just because you’ve become comfortable or was it that you had found comfort in his financial situation. He quickly shut out each ugly thought. He shouldn’t doubt you when you never really did anything for him to doubt for.

“Oomi!” You called out to him as he was more or else staring at the television rather than watching the news. You quickly switched the tv to the radio, as you held out your hands to him. He begrudgingly wondered what you were doing but still took your hand anyway. You positioned both his hand on your waist as yours went to his shoulders, swaying him from side to side, letting the music occupy the whole room.

“Tell me the things you love about me?” You whispered softly to him, your head resting on his chest but still slow dancing with him. “I think that it’s cool that somehow, you are fragile like glass. For that I can see through you.” He answered quizzically but you still urge him to continue. “More?” He let out incoherent noises of disapproving but still did as you said anyway.

“Was that the wrong answer? Should I be more poetic?” He said but continued anyway, “I love that you somehow touch my soul? Like...this is embarrassing. You are not recording this or anything right?” You shook your head no, “Mm feeling down, I don’t like myself.” You lied. He sighs, “For you, I guess I’ll be an embarrassment. Like you are willing to permeate my ego and pride.”

“I love your mouth?” He pauses, “It somehow just says things that we both are afraid to say.” He continued, “I want you to love yourself like I love every inch of you. From my point of view, you’re perfect.” He ended it with a kiss on top of your head, resting them on yours.

“See, Oomi.” You cupped his face in your hands, forcing him to look at you, “I want you to see things from my point of view too. I want you to know that you always make me feel love, and never once had I doubted whether you truly love me or not. So, see your love from my point of view too.” You smiled as he closed the gap between you two, kissing you. “Thank you,” He smiled.

Mhm, I'm not sure if my Meian Simp Anon is still around but... Thinking a lot about an ask they sent me a long time ago that has been sitting there, waiting for inspiration to hit. Thinking a lot about Atsumu at a petting zoo for a Black Jackals' event and he looks like a typical boy but his personality is so adorable and he regresses because the little animals are just so, so cute!!!

The other players being overprotective of him because of the media, while also subtly doting over him... Internet exploding because, yes, Atsumu is so handsome but he's also so sweet!

Thinking a lot about that. About overprotective teammates.

About the players walking up to Mommy, and she's scary to everyone but to her sweet baby boy Atsumu, so they're all nervous as hell, but they look so serious and solemn when they ask her to talk. She wants to laugh a bit, because it's always amusing to her how these huge men are terrified of her, but she reigns it in and gives them her attention. Turns out, they wanted to tell her that she could trust them with looking after Atsumu when she isn't around during team functions.

And they mean it! Atsumu isn't really sure about how it happened, all he knows is that suddenly he has a bunch of hovering teammates spoiling him and shielding him from cameras, glaring down reporters and people from other teams, guiding him places and making sure he eats and sleeps and doting over him.

He isn't complaining, he quite likes the attention and, at the end of the day, he'll go back to his Mommy and tell her all about how nice his friends are with him and she melts at her innocent boy who thrives under gentleness and care.

Atsumu and Hinata shared looks again and again as they kept whispering to themselves about how Sakusa really allowed you to take the front sit whilst Bokuto went into his dejected mode. Seeing this, Atsumu quickly texted the group, and nudged Bokuto.

It was a fun afternoon with the team, and you got to know everyone through brief introduction. Contrary to Hinata’s initial belief, you actually got along with Adriah and Oliver the most amongst the older men, with you speaking fluent English.

Once lunch was over, the team had to head back to gym for their practice match with VC Kanagawa, where Atsumu introduced you to Riseki, his junior back in High School. You remembered him being the poor guy getting boo-ed and jeered at by his own cheering team, but you didn’t bring it up.

You also greet Chigaya, having a quick greeting with him as well.

“Broccoli…” You stared at his hair, causing the Shinzen alumni to step back in concern.

“What are you staring at…??”

“Hoh… Your hair,” you said innocently, “broccoli #2.” You reiterated your brother’s words, catching everyone off guard, and burst out into laughter. Even Sakusa had to look away to not let anyone see the tiny smile on his lips, but his shaking shoulders were quite obvious.

“You Kageyamas...!” Chigaya sobbed jokingly, and you chuckled. Soon, the team gathered for proper warm-ups and the match started.

Coach Foster asked for you to sit next to him, asking for you to keep track of his players’ performance, and so you did. Pulling out your laptop, you begin to type away at lightning speed at relevant details that you think the coach might appreciate.

The matches continued all the way until they played up to six matches, with MSBY winning 4 out of 6. The other team soon left after cleaning and warming up, whilst you waited by the bench. “Coach Foster, I’ve recorded down the scoring rally, and the top scorers for each match. Would you like me to have it sent over to you?”

“We have a printer in the back office, dear. Could you print it out for me?” Foster asked before looking over to Sakusa, requesting for the guy to show you the way.

“Why me, coach?” Sakusa asked as he folded the towel.

“Why not?” The older man smiled, but you said you just needed the direction. With a knowing smirk, Foster looked away from his player and told you how to get to his office. Once you got some sense of directions, you promised to get the printouts within minutes and jogged off.

“Is Sakusa too shy to get close to such a cute girl?” Meian joked, which Sakusa quickly denied. He saw no reason to follow you, especially when he was covered in sweat. He excused himself to refill his water once more, avoiding the crazy staring his team was giving him.

“Sakusa-san is still as difficult to figure out as before…” Chigaya commented, and Hinata perked up.

“Oh yeah, you two met back then, right? But wouldn’t you agree, him constantly staring at [y/n], kinda give off his secret?” The ginger laughed. Everyone in that gym was so sure of Sakusa’s crush, and it seemed he still hasn’t realized he was staring at you the entire time.

Sakusa was never one to look at anyone for more than a few seconds if they weren’t speaking or anything, and liked to keep to himself or stand away, but around you, he tends to linger.

As you were printing your notes, you received multiple notification from your personal email. Believing it was something important, you went to check it out, only to see it was sent from an odd looking email. The sender’s email provider was what got you worrying, though. It looked to be from a disposable email provider.

You forwarded this email to your private email, and opened the attached files to see the person had sent you multiple images of your “Dakki” merch. Did this person figure out your identity? You bit your lips as you tried to think back if you might have been careless? Everyone should already know you’re Japanese, but not residing in Tokyo, but that was about it. The only people that knew your true identity were your family, the Haiba siblings, Asahi, Yachi, Hinata, Atsumu, Bokuto, Akaashi, Kozume, and Kuroo.

You knew none of them were dumb enough to leak your identity, but you also didn’t want to worry yourself over nothing. The dilemma was gnawing at you as you picked up the warm stack of papers.

Figuring it was the worst timing to think about it, you quickly made your way out of the office and came across Sakusa. “Hello Sakusa-san, were you refilling your bottle?”

“Yes. Are those the notes that you typed out? May I take a look?” Sakusa asked, eying at the stack of white in your hand. You blushed at the thought of Sakusa looking at your notes. What if he thought it was messy? Or it was too much?

Seeing how you showed signs of hesitancy, Sakusa retracted his question, apologizing for being straightforward about it.

“N-No! Erm, I was just worried you might not like how I took my notes but... Here you go,” you shyly held out your notes and Sakusa nodded, stating that he would never judge someone else’s note-taking since everyone has their own way.

Scanning through, he could say he was rather impressed at how well you recorded down everything with accuracy. He let out a small “heh” the moment he saw that he was the service ace for the day. Looked like he could rub this in Atsumu’s face again.

“You have great notes. Very neat, concise but detailed enough,” Sakusa complimented. You expected him to return the notes, however he held onto it, walking back to the gym.

“Sakusa-san?”

“You’re going to give them to Coach Foster, right? What difference does it make if I pass it to him?” Sakusa asked, opening the door.

“Right…” You murmured, keeping a loose lock of hair behind your ears and followed back. Your heart was beating slightly faster; was it because Sakusa praised you, or were you just happy that he didn’t find your notes too much? Or were you seriously letting the tiniest of admiration now festering into a crush?

No, it’s too soon since your last relationship, you shouldn’t get into one so soon!

“Oh, Sakusa, you went to check on y/n after all, huh?” Foster held an evil smirk, whilst Sakusa narrowed his eyes in a scowl, whilst the teams chuckled and pointed.

“I just wanted to look at what I was lacking before someone else touches the papers,” Sakusa explained, and took a sip out of his bottle.

“I hope it’s of help to you. Since I intruded in your practice, I figured the least I could do was make the best possible note! Oh, I listed VC Kanagawa’s players by names too, so it should be easier to identify!”

“You did a wonderful job! It’s a shame our manager position is not open, else I would have love for you to take on that role.”

“And I would have declined,” you laughed and began to pack up your stuff, “my hands are full, and I have an impromptu travelling tendency, so having a normal job is out of the question.”

“Impromptu travelling tendency?” Atsumu questioned.

“Aha, she attended Kingston University on a whim!” Hinata remembered, “she suddenly said she wanted to fly to England one day to Kageyama, and it took him, Tsukishima, Yachi, Yamaguchi, Sugawara-senpai and all of our juniors to convince her to rethink about her decision!”

“I- Hey! I wanted to study in Kingston, okay! I just didn’t...tell anyone back then...” You defended, albeit rather unconvincingly, with how your words trailed off. “...Fine! I’ll inform you guys earlier if I were to take off again, okay?”

“But why do you like travelling so much?” Bokuto asked with his head tilted.

“What’s not to like? You like to go overseas too, no?” You asked brightly as you remembered the last time you suddenly took off and landed in the middle of South America during your school term break.

“Yeah, I do, but you just up and go at times. Akaashi said you need to be put on a leash!”

“A leash? I never knew that Fukurodani setter of yours is so kinky with (y/n)~” Atsumu winked, but Sakusa clicked his tongue at the sudden turn of conversation. He was rather intrigued about your oddity for a second before the word ‘kinky’ was mentioned.

“Disgusting as always, Miya. Can’t you be mindful of your words around a lady, or do you lack the decency to?” Sakusa chided. Hinata and Bokuto both looked at each other, and another imaginary lightbulb went off.

“It’s fine, Sakusa-san, I’ve heard worse things,” you ascertained nonchalantly, but Sakusa still glowered at Atsumu. He was not sure as to why he reacted this way, but he didn’t like how he used that word with you in

“Still doesn’t make it any better,” Meian cut in, pulling Atsumu’s collar back as he smiled menacingly, knowing his player needed to stop saying stupid things at times before another unneeded problem arise.

Particularly Sakusa possibly murdering Atsumu.

Hinata and Bokuto insisted that you waited for them to get you home.

When night fell, you began your regular streaming and just as usual, your three VIPs, Bokuto, Atsumu and Hinata joined your stream. It was a very comfortable stream for the night; no games, just chatting. Maybe it was just to ease the nerve of what happened earlier in the day, but being able to just ramble about random topics helped with your rising anxiety.

About an hour into your stream, a certain follower’s username caught your attention. Even though you have been thanking every single new followers, gifters, cheer bits and subscribers, this particular one got you wondering for a while. It was a twitch username 'Sakuomi' and your mind drifted to Sakusa Kiyoomi.

"No... Can't be him, nah..."

“Holy- Thank you for the follow and the Tier 3 sub for three-months in advance, Sakuomi. Welcoming to the family!” You smiled, and let your Vtuber model waved.

Sakuomi: It is no problem. I appreciate your energy, and have been putting you as my background noise whilst cleaning.

“Well, I’m glad my streams keep you company while you do so,” you laughed softly.

Sakuomi: It's no big deal. My cousin highly recommended me to watch you, and I just gave it a try. I look forward to your chill stream from now on.

"That’s nice! Then I hope I won't disappoint you," you replied.

Sakuomi: You haven't. And I don't think you will.

A smile stretched across your face. For the first time in a month, you were finally smiling from the bottom of your heart.

"You have no idea how much those words mean to me. Well, enough with such sappy moments..." You then looked at the notes you have next to you, one which you prepared to help you go through the topics you wished to go through for today. You spoke about the schedule for the following weeks, updates on new video games that you had already planned on playing by the year end.

You also spoke about volleyball, just a tad bit. It wasn’t unusual, even though you were known to be a gamer streamer, since you and Kozume, an ex setter, were friends. You always managed to speak about how amazing a certain team were. You jumped around a lot, and try not to speak about the Japanese teams too much, since your brother would always text you and say “could you not compliment Sakusa and Hoshiumi so much? I exist too, you know?!?”

But you couldn’t help yourself whenever you watched Schweiden or MSBY on your spare time; Tobio had always been amazing so you never paid him any mind after junior high.

Just as you were about to close off your stream on the 3rd hour, you took a deep breath and became serious. You really wanted to get it off your chest, and you knew it was better to say it now than later.

"It has come to my attention that a few people were getting too overboard with intruding on my privacy. Just a small reminder to please be mindful of VTuber's private life. We hope you guys understand that we are VTubers for a lot of reason, with mine being privacy and safety as my prioty. I really hope I don’t have to keep reminding people of this. I understand wanting to get to know people you like, but at times you have to remember that it might get uncomfortable. It happened during the coop after the chasm archon quest, but I hope it doesn’t occur again.”

Your chat was spammed with support and love for you, scolding those that even tried to pry into your private life. You were glad that your community understood, and your moderators also pinned your message in your discord server as a “kind” reminder.

That was when you received a whisper from Sakuomi. You normally wouldn’t really want to read them but for some reason, your instinct told you to open them.

“I suggest you reach out to the police if you do feel like your life in in danger.”

You typed back a quick reply.

“Thank you very much Sakuomi. I will definitely reach out to the proper authorities.”

“...Why did I even send her a private message.” Sakusa closed Dakki’s stream and sighed. He was lucky that Dakki was kind enough to even reply him.

He stared at the hoodie that was delivered to him with the words “Darken Sun” embroided on the cuff in black. It wasn’t very visible if you were just walking pass but Sakusa noticed it well. The material was of high quality, one which even shocked Sakusa when he first felt it. He honestly believed that it was going to be of a cheaper quality but instead, he actually pleasantly surprised at how well it suit his wardrobe.

Trust his cousin to know him a little bit, he guessed. But he still wondered why Komori was so insistent about him buying from this VTuber.
