Empire Mine in Grass Valley, CA is one of the most beautiful Wedding venues we have ever seen, And one of my favorite places to shoot a wedding, or anything else for that matter! there are acres of lush green grass, several old brick buildings, grand old trees, beautiful flower gardens... Simply gorgeous!! . . . If you’re planning on having your wedding at Empire Mine, start planning early !! Dates are limited, they book up quick and you even have to be selected from the lottery to “win” your date. . . There are new regulations for shooting at Empire Mine, they are requiring a California film commission per minute which I believe runs $60 per session as well as the stipulation that the photographer must be insured, and a guide must be with you during your session! . . .
