There's nothing to do but sit and watch TV in the living room with the knowledge that the one of the hottest linebacker/rutting werewolf was duking it out with himself in your basement. 

Holy shit. 

You could tell he wasn't intentionally being that loud. It's almost as if you could picture it in your mind-- his face buried in the pillows below him as he fucked the toy that you bought for him desperately, his knees digging into the nest you had built for him. 

It was almost like building a fort, like one of those you built as kids. It had only now occurred to you that you'd now have to spend your savings on doing laundry this weekend. According to your studies, the amount of sweat and...other fluids...werewolves produce during sex varies greatly, but it usually corresponds with size. 

Taehyung towers over you. He's not necessarily taller than you, no. He has tall energy-- the kind that intimidates those who aren't familiar with him. You didn't have a choice but to help him earlier today, but you wouldn't have talked to him otherwise. 

You forgot to turn on the air conditioning. That's why it's so hot in here.

You pass the kitchen on the way to the thermostat, spotting the water you meant to bring downstairs sitting on the counter. 

You're gonna have to bring it to him, but you should probably warn him before you come in. With your heart pounding anxiously, you take the pack of water in your arms and knock loudly on the basement door. 

"Taehyung. Taehyung!" You shout. 

"What, what...what?!" He yells back, his breath labored. 

"I forgot to bring you water," you say, uncomfortably. 

"Uhm…Yeah, come in. I'm decent," he throws a cover over himself and anticipates you coming in. 

You push open the door and a puff of thick, humid air greets you. It's a thick mixture of sweat, and something vaguely sweet-smelling. 

You keep your eyes down as you place the water down, but the feeling of his eyes on you causes you to meet him. 

He's got a smile across his face with his yellow eyes lit up, his fangs drawing the slightest bit of blood from his lips. His body stretches underneath a plush blanket, his crotch covered but not much else. He flexes, tensing from keeping still. 

"I have a question, actually," he looks down, clearly studying his cock. "What do I do if the toy cracks a little?" 

"What? It really like...cracked? Around the sides? The plastic?" You're genuinely puzzled. 

Taehyung nods and reaches for a water bottle. He swallows a few gulps before throwing it back. "Yeah. I can't use a broken one, right?" 

"No, that wouldn't be safe...the plastic could cut you," you say in disbelief. 

"Oh, ok. Do you have more?" He asks. 

You do not have more. If he broke the toy, it would mean you'd have to go all the way back to the store with it and ask for a refund. 

Why is it with Tae, you always have to explain the impossible? 

You don't have time for all that. He'd be in a lot of pain if you didn't act now. It's just kind of an awkward question but the way he's looking at you right now kind of negates it. 

"Don't use it," you breathe. 

"Well then how else am I supposed to make this go away, Y/N? It's not like it'll just go away," he frowns. 

"Use me."

"The first thing you need to know is that you can't go to school, I'd say, three days before a full moon. I don't know how you'd schedule that, and maybe you'll have to quit the football team, but you can't show up looking like…" you cringe, "that."

"Sure, sure, uh…" Taehyung quickly dismisses. "Is it normal to be this horny?" He asks, pulling the strings on his hoodie as he walks next to you on the sidewalk, walking you home.

"Horny? Yes," you say casually, too concentrated on configuring how exactly you'll get this creature to appear normal to the public eye. Look at him!

Taehyung holds on to the straps of his bag with his lips pursed, skipping anxiously towards your house.

"Okay. That's good to know…" he mumbles.

You stop in front of him, checking him up and down and huffing. "Are you even listening to me? You'll have to quit the football team, probably!"

"Oooh no! That's the worst thing in the world!" He says robotically. You squint your eyes. It was almost like Taehyung didn't care.

"Sorry," he sighs. "I just really don't give a shit about that right now." You figured.

Taehyung was bigger than you, taller than you. There's a good chance he's also faster than you. If you were to fight him right this second, you would indefinitely lose, nevermind the fact that he's a werewolf. "Well, you should give a shit," you say, meekly. He shrugs.

A few miles down the road, Taehyung peeks at your journal on your left. "How long have you been writing in that thing?" He asks.

"This one in particular, or how long have I been journaling?" The journal itself is falling apart, wrapped in leather, the color fading where your hand usually grips it with the pages flimsy and beaten.

"Shit, how long have you been journaling?" He says, humorously impressed at your dedication.

"Since forever. I mean maybe I've been a little inconsistent with it, but I've had this book since last year." You had studied every mythical creature, anomaly, conspiracy out there that involved the supernatural. Your expertise varied depending on what data was available, but, for the most part, you knew a lot about anything ranging from kind of weird to straight up mind-bending.

You usually tone it down during school, though, choosing to stay quiet and out of the way of most people. If they need you, they'll seek you out, and you believe that. That's why you're helping dog-boy here. Taehyung scratches behind his ear, sniffing.

You arrive at your house at a quarter past three. It's small, but charming. The house was built in the eighties, so the original hardwood is still there and the kitchen needs some updating, but it's cozy. You grew up with the couch that sits in your living room, in front of a big box TV set that your parents bought before you were born. To Taehyung, the house smells exactly like you, and that's a good thing.

He puts his bag down on the couch and looks around at all the intimate details of the place. Over the coffee table, there is a woven doily with tiny carnelians embedded into the cloth and a porcelain tea set atop it. A darling cabinet stands against the wall opposite to the full windows, which drapes the room with light like dew drops does the morning grass.

There's a Persian rug beneath his feet, a big one that touches the wall behind the television. It looks ancient, but well-kept, its vibrant velvet has now faded into a mellow mahogany. Taehyung's smudged white Chuck Taylors juxtapose the intricacy of the rug rather facetiously.

"Take your shoes off." You twist your face, crossing your legs over one another on the couch. "Don't...get my carpet dirty."

"Can I take my socks off too or no?" Taehyung strips his feet of his shoes revealing a pair of white and grey socks, the typical kind, probably fruit of the loom.

"Sure?" You grab the pair, setting them aside.

"Sick!" Taehyung peels his socks off and digs his feet into the carpet below. "It's a little hot in here…"

It's not hot inside, the air conditioner is on. "What are you talking about?"

He shifts uncomfortably in his seat. "It's just hot."

You suddenly recall that Taehyung is literally growing hair at an alarmingly fast rate all over his body and if he continues wearing regular clothes, he will overheat. "Fuck. Uhm, maybe taking you here wasn't such a good idea after all," you reconsider.

"What?" He bared his teeth. Long, yellowish fangs frame his regulars. You lean forward and tug his lips upward to examine them.

"Okay," you sigh, pensively. "Those were not supposed to grow until Sunday." You think back to what you read recently about turning werewolves, recalling their superhuman characteristics and development. "I think I have some rope in the shed, if I'm quick enough, I think I could tie you down before it happens."

"Befrr whuh happumsh?" Taehyung says, indistinctly. It was hard to talk with a girl's fingers in his mouth.

"Well, you turn."

 You flip through your books that you've acquired from years of research on the supernatural, to find the meaning of your previous dream. The worn pages crinkle under your fingertips. 

"According to researchers, dreams are a reflection of the deepest and most personal wants, fears, and desires. Dreams can be indicative of an underlying need…" You close your notes, then and there. It's a school night, and it's already 3AM. You need to get that extra bit of sleep if you want to get through tomorrow without sleeping through AP Literature. 

Taehyung rolled out of bed on a Monday morning hating his life. "Nngh…” He brushes the hair away from his face as he shuffles into the bathroom. Picking up his toothbrush, he glances up quickly to greet his face. 

His eyes blow wide. He shoves the toothbrush in his mouth. His hands frantically smooth over his face, a thick layer of hair has flourished on his jaw. "I shaved yesterday!" Startled, Taehyung fumbled around the sink drawer searching for something to manage the situation. His eyes settle on a facemask. Good enough. 

Strapping on his facemask, and throwing on his backpack, Taehyung snatches his lanyard from the door hanger and hops to catch the 6:30 bus. Huffing, he collapses onto his seat and glances outside. Using the window as a mirror, he readjusts his face covering and sighs. 

Was this something you saw a doctor about? Hypertrichosis did not run in his family at all, and such sudden growth was abnormal. That word scares him, "abnormal." Taehyung throws his head back against the bus seat. The last thing he needs is to be outcast from the team. 

You weave through your peers in the hallway, avoiding groups and pairs which clog your path to your next class, when someone tall catches up to you and starts walking alongside you. You glance over. 

You didn't know his name, but you had seen him before, around school. "Hey, you're Mindy, right?" 

"Y/N." 

"Y/N, Y/N, right," he swerves around a couple making out wildly against the lockers. He grunts, annoyed. "Listen, I need you to--" He shuffles his feet. 

"I need to meet with you. That is my number," he places a tiny, folded-up post-it note in your hand. "Call me. We'll talk." he urges, his tone of voice serious. One last look at his surroundings and he falls out of the stream of people headed to the north of campus, disappearing into the sea of people. 

You hold the paper between your fingers, speeding past towards your next class.

"Are you coming to the pep rally today?" A voice cuts through your lackadaisical daze. 

"Uh? Maybe. I might just go home, I'm not really into that sort of thing," you sigh, putting your notebook away. 

"Well, I mean, I'm going cause I'm a cheerleader," Sheila chirps. You smirk, amused. "I'd really appreciate if you'd come. We worked super hard on the routine." 

While your school spirit isn't the greatest, you're a kind person with nothing better to do on a Monday night. It can't be that hard to plug in your earbuds and quietly catch up on notes in nosebleeds.

A particularly loud cheer from the crowd startles you, causing you to direct your eyes to the source of all the commotion. Like a pack of wild animals, the football team raced across the court and piled on top of one another in a giant heap of sweaty, hormonal, teenage men. 

You scrunch your nose. Whoever's on the bottom must be suffocating right about now. That looks so uncomfortable. You reach over to your bag only to discover a hand wavering from the edge of the bleachers trying to get a hold of it. 

You slap it. "Ow!" A voice exclaims from below. The hand retracts quickly back from whence it came in defeat. You peer over the railing, finding absolutely nothing there. They must be underneath the bleachers. Ew, why would anyone hide there? 

You excuse yourself to investigate. Throwing a handful of mumbled "excuse mes" and "pardon mes" as you step down from the bleachers, you find your way to the bottom and hop off. 

Turning the corner, your eyes greet a pair of golden eyes, evidently half-turned. "A--" he slaps his hand over your mouth before you could make a sound. 

"Shut up. No time. Come here." He juts, snatching you under the tiers of students into a dusty, shadowy crevice. 

Taehyung yanks his mask from his face to reveal a beastly beard, crowning his cheeks, furling wildly along his jaw and creeping along his neck. You stumble back, palms flush against the plaster wall.

"Okay. I'm sorry I didn't wait until you got home to ask, but I was supposed to be out there ten minutes ago, I took one look at my body and ran." Taehyung paces. 

"Uhm, uh…that's not normal," you stutter. 

Taehyung scoffs. "You can't be serious. Ot course it's not normal, that's why I need you!" He whisper-yells. His glow-freckled eyes flicker from left to right, eyes seeking an answer from you.

"What is this…?" You sigh, mostly to yourself. "What did you do?" 

"Nothing!" He barks, a little too loud. The bleachers rattle overhead. 

"Nothing, I did nothing, so either you cursed me or you know someone who might have cursed me." He wags his finger at you. 

"I did nothing of the sort and you can't prove that, dog boy!" You snarl. Taehyung's face curls. 

"Look, I can look in my notes and find out what's wrong with you, but you have to make a deal with me." You put your bag down. Taehyung's ears perk up. 

He's dressed in his uniform, still. You couldn't quite grasp how he managed to turn. He looks like a regular eighteen-year-old boy from the neck down. That was an understatement. He looked like art."What is it, what's the deal?" 

"You know that boy Jungkook?" Your heart flutters just saying his name.

Taehyung nods, "Of course, of course." 

"Well, if you pretend to be my boyfrie--" you're cut off by Taehyung waving his hand around. 

"Yeah. Fine. And you'll make me normal again?" 

"I'll try my best," 

"No, you will, right?" 

"Yeah." 

"Deal." 

"Deal."

Pulling off his football helmet, Taehyung struts into the locker room after an exhausting practice. Leaning against a cubby, he unravels the tape wrapped around his knuckles. He squeezes out the rest of his water, save for a finger or two. It squirts from his Gatorade bottle onto his hair as he shakes his head, spraying water the floor. He takes a towel and dries it off before pouring a little bit on the towel and wiping his face.

Sitting down on the bench, he peels off his sockets and shoes, liberating his feet before everything else. Next comes the jersey and the pads underneath. His number hits the floor, a neon orange "13." Below it, his name in  the classic font, outlined in black: "Kim." 

His face lifts to listen to the bell indicating that the after school activity bus would leave in approximately 10 minutes. Taehyung curses under his breath, wiggling into his true religion denim and throwing on a simple black tee shirt. Grabbing his duffel bag and his backpack, he speed walks toward the only bus left in the lot, shuffling between his team members to get on the bus home.

A paper ninja star sits between his fingers. He fiddles with it as he daydreams out the window with his wire earbuds in. He mouths the word to every song, unwinding. 

His  mates congregate in groups together. Some make clicking noises with their mouths, others slap the back of the seats to create a makeshift "freestyle" cypher beat. Some pull up their work and stare at their assignments for fifteen minutes before slowly closing their laptops and scrolling on their phones. Taehyung slides his fingers into his pocket to fish out his phone. 

It flashes on, indicating to him that it is just shy of 7:00PM. At least he wasn't a band kid.  

About twenty miles away, you're sitting on your bed, chewing on the end of a pen, trying to conjure up another stupid annotation to make on your rhetorical analysis packet. 

Falling back on your bed, you grunt. What the fuck is your teacher on, honestly? You're just trying to get through the last semester of highschool in one piece. What was the reason for giving such ridiculously difficult work? 

You toss your work across the bed, and it lands on the mattress with a dull thump. Giving into your need for an after school nap, you doze off in a starfish position, your pen dropping to the floor as you lose consciousness. 

Your eyes snap open in a daze. Surrounding you are woods for miles. A single spotlight, the silver moon, drenches you in its light, in the middle of a shadowy wood. Your skin pebbles, the overbearing presence of something ungodly possessing you. You writhe and, in mindless desperation, turn your head to meet a pair of amber eyes glowing in a sea of shadows. 

Your head jerks down toward your feet, your breath quivering. You're helpless, your psychology has been transformed into bare, primal sense. A thrilling feeling forms in the pit of your stomach. That thing-- that creature exudes an energy you could only describe as predatory.

You thrust your body forward, only to realize you've been tied to a telephone pole-like edifice with twine.You lean against the pole in surrender. "Fuck," you cry out through fearful tears. "What are you here for, what do you need?!" You sob. 

Eyes fluttering open, your heart pounds in your throat as you yank the curtains open. The moon only smirks at you with a mocking grin. 

You throw your feet over the side of the bed and go to retrieve a glass of water.
