mental health awareness month⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Last year in May, i burnet out and the world I knew fell apart. Everything changed, from work, home, relationships and most importantly the relationship to myself. ⁣ ⁣ prior to the event, I thought i was immune to burning out and that it only happened to others. although I am not stranger to depression and anxiety I keep burning my wheels till there was nothing left. No mental, no emotional and no physical. Mind you, it’s a a strange place to be for a Generator (human design) with ADHD tendencies.⁣ ⁣ The reason why i share my story is because there is so much stigma around it. I had to face my own stigma, my own shame, and by doing so i learned to re-direct these programmed conditions into what I value about myself.⁣ ⁣ You wanna know what I value about myself, and i write this with tears running down my face with grace and humility: it’s my ability to rise up again and my ability to love. there are many layers to the tattoo on my wrist but if i had to explain it shortly, i would say: with love, from love, by love. I am Persian Sufi, swirling in devotion, and love is my home. ⁣ ⁣ Mental illness does not equal weakness, just like my current candida situation don’t equal being sick. Please raise awareness to the thoughts you think and learn to question them, we’re far too conditioned into this thing called life than we can fathom. ⁣ ⁣ to anyone who can relate, I’m here.
