Yes... that's right: individually plastic wrapped carrots! Yuk!! The wrapping says "freshness foil"... This looks totally unfresh to us! 😂 We already commented earlier on the fact that supermarkets sometimes hold somewhat curious and alarming packaging policies. This AlbertHeijn offers carrots in so many different ways (see previous post too) 👉 without plastic, in large plastic bags, single plastic wrapped carrots and organic carrots in bio-plastic bags. In the meantime, at another big supermarket I can buy single carrots without any wrapping! (I recently saw they come out a big bulk bag made of plastic.. 😯) In short: at Plastic-Free Tuesday we are eager to challenge the packaging philosophies of supermarkets - or apparent lack thereof?! 😊 In any case, we feel examples like these require a good rethinking of packaging options and policies!
