Delicious food at your doorstep by Rehmat’s restaurant in Aberdeen
Food delivery in Aberdeen is gaining momentum. Now every single restaurant near you will have an option of a home food delivery system. These food items can be beverages, snacks to proper meals. Anything you crave will be at your doorstep within minutes such is the food delivery system in Aberdeen.
Tumblr media
The reason why food delivery systems have become so convenient is that it delivers food right at your doorstep and a contactless delivery option is available to the customer, which has become a necessity during the aftermath of the pandemic. Most restaurants do not even charge delivery fees, but tips are customary.
Here are some of the food items you may want to try out this month –
Breakfast food delivery Aberdeen –
What do you do when you are feeling hungry and at the same time particularly lazy on a Sunday morning? I will recommend you treat yourself to some delicious takeaway in Aberdeen. Here are some of the best options for a healthy breakfast meal to treat yourself:
a) Fish and chips delivery Aberdeen –
Fish and chips are the traditional and a popular takeaway breakfast for every scot. This hot dish consisting of fried fish covered with batter and a plateful of chips with veggies will surely make your winter mornings amazing.
Deep-fried fish is a perfect choice for a full meal of carbs and protein required to jump-start your early mornings.
b) Chinese delivery Aberdeen –
Some of us prefer our breakfasts to be light and vitamin-rich with minimal fried items. This is what delicious Chinese food is all about.
Famous for its steamed vegetables and tea, combined with its red meat occasionally, Chinese cuisine gives you immense health benefits. The traditional plant-based diet helps reduce the risk of obesity and heart diseases and at the same time is heaven to your taste buds.
Lunch delivery Aberdeen –
Going out for lunch with your friends and family can be hectic during afternoons when most of the restaurants are crowded and occupied. The best solution is to order food from restaurant delivery at Aberdeen and enjoy the delicious meal in the comfort of your home. Lunch is the time to try out something exotic. Here are some of the best exotic meals to try in Aberdeen:
Kebab delivery Aberdeen –
This middle eastern meat dish has so many varieties like Burrah, Cevapi, Chapli, Galouti, Kakori etc that it will take you a long time to try all of them.
The traditional meat for kebab is more often lamb or mutton but many regional recipes include chicken, goat and fish meat as well. If you are looking for the best Indian food and kebabs then I will recommend you to try Rehmat’s restaurant in Aberdeen. They serve the best curry and kebabs you will ever taste.
b) Indian cuisine –
Indian food is the best when it comes to flavour and spices. Try out the famous palak paneer with naan, or curry and rice if you are looking for some extra flavour in your meals.
Order food in Aberdeen if you crave Indian sweet dishes like Jalebi and gulab jamun which are a must to try from an Indian restaurant near you.
Dinner at Aberdeen –
No one wants to cook after a long day at work. For times like this ordering food online becomes a blessing. Food delivery Aberdeen is open now till midnight at most famous restaurants. Japanese food for dinner is the best if you are looking for something light, healthy and tasty.
a)Sushi delivery Aberdeen –
Nothing is better than Japanese sushi for dinner. Sushi comes from traditional Japanese cuisine. It is a delicate dish which is prepared with vinegared rice with some salt and sugar according to taste.
It can accompany a wide variety of different ingredients like seafood which is often served raw with vegetables and a glass of fine wine. The sushi rice is called shari or sumeshi and is incredibly tasty.
People rarely eat out nowadays. Enjoying your food in the comfort of your home feels way better than going out at times. Also, the food delivery system has become incredibly popular and efficient when compared to how it was a decade ago. There are many restaurants which are open 24 hours a day and deliver food all night to the late-night eaters among us.
Once in a while treating yourself with some late-night snacks and carb full meals is not a bad idea after a long and tiring day at work. If you just don’t feel like leaving your house or want to avoid bad weather, then home food delivery Aberdeen is open now.

This IPO fail is a warning for the 'everything wins' rally But the mood was different Wednesday in London, where shares of Amazon-backed food delivery service Deliveroo dropped as much as 30% in their first day of trading. The plunge wiped out roughly £2.3 billion ($3.2 billion) in market value. Deliveroo’s stock was last trading at around £3.00 ($4.14), about 23% below the price at which shares listed. The £3.90 ($5.36) IPO price was already at the bottom of the company’s targeted range. Sophie Lund-Yates, an equity analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown, said there appear to be a few reasons the IPO ran into trouble. Another food delivery service, DoorDash, saw its shares soar 85% in their first day trading on the New York Stock Exchange in December. But since then, markets have become more unpredictable, as investors try to assess the effects of an expected increase in prices later this year. Deliveroo cited “volatile” market conditions when it priced at the low end of its range. There’s also growing concern about regulatory action surrounding gig economy companies. Uber is reclassifying its 70,000 drivers in the United Kingdom after the country’s Supreme Court upheld a ruling they should be classified as workers and not independent contractors. Its drivers will now be entitled to a minimum wage, vacation time and a pension. Several large institutional investors, including Aberdeen and BMO Global Asset Management, said last week that they would not participate in Deliveroo’s IPO because they had concerns about competition, regulation and the way the company treats its delivery riders. “If the government turned around and said it needed to treat workers as employees and include a mandatory 5% pension contribution, for example, that path to profitability for Deliveroo [becomes] incredibly murky,” Lund-Yates told me. There are already worries about its projections for growth, she added. When normal life resumes after the pandemic, will there really be as many people ordering food to their front doors? “Conditions over the last year are as good as they are ever going to be,” Lund-Yates said. She believes investors may have been a bit more forgiving if the company had listed on the Nasdaq in New York, instead of on the London Stock Exchange, since investors there are more used to loss-making companies. But the message is still clear: The IPO market remains hot, and investment bankers are incredibly busy. Investors, however, may be proceeding with more caution — indicating that rich valuations may require a second look. My thought bubble: The past year has been defined by an “everything wins” rally, with a hugely diverse range of assets netting solid returns. Yet as we enter a period of greater uncertainty with clear signs of froth, it’s crucial that traders do their homework before making investment decisions. Biden to lay out first piece of infrastructure and jobs package President Joe Biden will lay out the first piece of a sweeping infrastructure and jobs proposal Wednesday, with the White House launching its effort to pass proposals that will total between $3 trillion and $4 trillion, according to senior administration officials. Biden, who will detail the infrastructure and climate piece of the proposal in Pittsburgh, is set to focus on repairing the country’s physical infrastructure while pushing for significant investments in climate infrastructure and research and development, my CNN colleague Phil Mattingly reports. The proposal will mark the first step of what are expected to be lengthy negotiations with lawmakers on Capitol Hill, where Democrats have worked through their own versions of several key pieces of the proposal and are also drafting pitches of how to cover costs. The first prong of the White House pitch will be financed in large part through business tax increases, including an increase of the corporate rate to 28% from its current level of 21%. Increases in the global minimum tax, ending federal subsidies for fossil fuel firms and a requirement that multinational corporations pay the US tax rate are also on the table. Biden has pledged not to increase taxes on families or individuals making less than $400,000. Watch this space: The legislative effort comes as economists warn about the need to address the climate crisis with growing urgency. Nearly three-quarters of economists, or 74%, agree “immediate and drastic” action is warranted to curb emissions, according to a survey released Tuesday from the Institute for Policy Integrity at the NYU School of Law. That’s up sharply from 50% in 2015. “People who spend their careers studying our economy are in widespread agreement that climate change will be expensive, potentially devastatingly so,” Peter Howard, economics director at the Institute for Policy Integrity, said in a statement. The institute said the survey is likely the largest of its kind. ‘Voltswagen’ disaster shines a light on electric vehicle mania In a move intended to reflect its new push into electric vehicles, Volkswagen’s US arm said Tuesday it was changing its name to “Voltswagen.” Yes, really. Except, not really. On Tuesday afternoon, the company admitted that the whole thing was a tongue-in-cheek deception that had turned into an utter disaster, my CNN Business colleague Peter Valdes-Dapena reports. “Volkswagen of America will not be changing its name to Voltswagen,” the company said in a statement. “The renaming was designed to be an announcement in the spirit of April Fool’s Day, highlighting the launch of the all-electric ID.4 SUV and signaling our commitment to bringing electric mobility to all. We will provide additional updates on this matter soon.” The debacle began Monday when Volkswagen (VLKAF) of America briefly posted an unfinished press release announcing a plan to change its name to Voltswagen. Then, on Tuesday morning, VW posted a finished release. The company presented it as a straight, 100% true announcement — even though it wasn’t. The confusing episode caught the attention of some overeager investors. Shares of the carmaker jumped 4.7% in Frankfurt on Tuesday. They’ve dropped 0.5% in early trading on Wednesday. It’s a sign of just how much hype electric vehicles are generating as Wall Street tries to capitalize on a shift away from the internal combustion engine. Even before the debacle, Volkswagen shares were up nearly 50% this year. Stocks in General Motors and Ford, which have also announced transition plans, have jumped more than 40%. Order From the Best Food Delivery in Aberdeen | Rehmat's Restaurant
What are the best food delivery outlets in Aberdeen?
Restaurants and fast food outlets saw a dip in their average revenue because of the pandemic but everything is getting back to normal and these restaurants are seeing a steady increase in customers. Food delivery in Aberdeen was also suspended for quite some time because of the pandemic but these services have been resumed and people can order food in Aberdeen without worrying about anything.
Tumblr media
Aberdeen is one of those places which is known for its culture and the food there is also worth trying. There are many good restaurants and fast food outlets in Aberdeen but Rehmats is one of the places that are worth visiting. The food that they serve is delicious and the ambiance and service are also delightful.
Why is Rehmats one of the best restaurants offering food delivery?
Rehmats is one of the best restaurants offering takeaway in Aberdeen and since food delivery inAberdeen is open now rehmats is also offering their own food delivery service. They have dedicated delivery agents who make sure that the food is delivered within a stipulated amount of time and the food always stays fresh and hot.
You might be craving something for lunch and sometimes some outlets don't offer delivery but rehmats offers lunch delivery in Aberdeen and also breakfast delivery in Aberdeen. This delivery service is completely reliable and once the order is accepted there is no cancellation or misplacement of your order.
What are the different options in cuisines available for people while choosing a delivery?
There are many good restaurants in Aberdeen and they offer a wide range of selections when it comes to items on their menu. Rehmants for example offers Chinese delivery in Aberdeen, sushi delivery Aberdeen, kebab delivery Aberdeen and even fish and chips delivery Aberdeen.  This food is prepared by chefs specializing in different cuisine and the food is never disappointing.
There are also various delivery options available for the customers to choose from. People often find it hard to go to a restaurant after a tiring day of work and expect the food to be ready when they reach, to make this convenient they can order food before starting their journey from the office and by the time they reach home, the delivery will be made. Customers can also get the food delivered to their house even if they are in a different city or a different country.
What is the level of priority given to safety and hygiene?
The restaurant delivery in Aberdeen is completely safe and almost all the restaurants follow all the Covid-19 norms and measures. The chefs wear the required safety equipment, face masks and rubber gloves and sanitize their hands from time to time. The food is prepared in dishes that have been properly sanitized and the delivery agents' temperature and health are also monitored. There is absolutely no contact between the delivery agent and the food parcel and customers can also choose contactless delivery where the delivery agent places the package before the doorstep and leaves.
Safety is always the first priority and even though the virus cannot spread through food, there is absolutely no stone left unturned when it comes to maintaining a hygienic environment.
Conclusion
Aberdeen is known to be one of the safest cities in Scotland and has earned the name granite city because of the varieties of stones available there. The food in Aberdeen is no less of a major highlight in the city and everyone who visits Aberdeen should try out the food from the local restaurants. The delivery service in Aberdeen is also excellent and there are also various payment options available for the customers.

A much anticipated update (anticipated by none)
Hello there. I am not sure if anybody even remembers - to be honest, I don’t know why it came to me today either - but I actually used to write a blog. Well, that is a bit of an overstatement - I have written maybe three articles in total when I moved to Scotland around 6 years ago. (Can be found below, although I would not recommend reading it.) As the time passed I guess this somehow got forgotten about and buried in the deep pits of the internet. Until now.
As it happens, I now find myself with a lot of free time on my hand and a desperate need to create. To those of you who might not be aware (possibly nobody) and for future me who will remember this post 10 years from now and will reminisce on how bad my writing used to be - we are currently on a “lockdown”. Although our Government doesn’t want to call it that, it practically is one. We are to be staying at home at all times, and only allowed to leave our little safe havens for essentials such as food shopping, and one exercise/day. We have a pandemic.
As a hypochondriac, this is an especially thrilling time for me, as you can imagine any health related emergencies are. Every time I have a bit of a cough, I plan my funeral. As the death toll climbs higher and higher every day in Britain, I desperately search the news for places that hasn’t yet been affected so badly and fantasise about moving there.  I worry All The Time. I worry about my health, I worry about those I love, I worry about my work, money, food, not being productive, gaining weight, and the list goes on. Usually, when things get a bit crazy with my anxiety (what a buzz word I know) I try to distract myself but it is getting harder to do when literally anything everyone is talking about is this virus.
So I guess this is where this blog comes handy. I woke up this morning and thought I will start my day by writing all this worry out of me. Then I thought, let’s start each day by doing this. So here we are - the plan is to create a “Quarantine Diary” where I will update my mum and dad (thanks for still reading this site after so many years :D) and whoever accidentally clicks on this and makes it through, on what we do between these four walls in Edinburgh.
Oh yes, we now live in Edinburgh so I guess the title of this blog needs updating too. After 4 years I said goodbye to Aberdeen and moved to the capital of bonny Scotland where I now live in a 2 bed flat with my fiancée (we grow up so fast I know) and work as an Event Co-ordinator.
Anyway, now that you have all the background info you never knew you needed, without further ado....
QUARANTINE DIARIES - PART 1
I am on Day 23 at the moment. It has been 23 days since I was last allowed to leave the house and go to work. I never thought I would say this but I really miss work. I can honestly say that when I felt tired and overworked and said I wanted a few month off to recover this is definitely not what I had in mind.
For me it started slightly earlier as after developing symptoms I had to self-isolate for 14 days, and by the time that was over, all bars, restaurants and pubs were ordered to close, including my workplace. So I kept on being home.
Tumblr media
You see all these people on Instagram being crazy productive doing their workouts every day and creating new healthier recipes and at first you feel motivated with them. You think - finally, I have all the time I need to complete all the things I have been putting off because I had no time, I can exercise every day without being already exhausted from work, I have time to plan my meals and eat healthy - until you realise that time was in fact never the reason you didn’t do these before. You have zero stamina to exercise and pretty much die after two push-ups, lack the maturity in taste to be eating lettuce and vegetables and you can still not learn Spanish, no matter how many hours you spend on Duolingo pretending to understand it. So then you buy wine. Wine is your friend, and now that you have basically zero responsibilities, it has suddenly become acceptable to drink at 12pm in your pyjamas. Your coffee intake increases by 200% and your daily achievements include “Getting dressed”, “Going to the living room” and “Washing your hair”. And you genuinely feel accomplished by doing these. Then comes the period of obsessive cleaning. Nothing has ever been more organised in our home. You will also colour in. A lot.
Tumblr media
So at the moment, this is where we are. I look forward to the days I can go to the shop because of the change of scenery, and I get dressed as if I was going to meet the Queen. But also the thought of leaving my house literally terrifies me. We cry sometimes, but we also laugh, a lot. We learn to appreciate the small things like having each other to get through this together, the internet that keeps us connected to everyone, the windows we can fully open to pretend we are outside, Nespresso home delivery and Drinkly - the site that delivers wine to your doors within an hour.
Tumblr media
I will now go and shower, so I can tick that off the list of things I must achieve today, but will probably be back with another update on what we do, when the World stops turning.
I hope you are all healthy and safe wherever you are.
Lots of Love, D.

The Daily Thistle
The Daily Thistle – News From Scotland
Wednesday 16th May 2018
"Madainn Mhath”
Fellow Scot, I hope the day brings joy to you
.  Well, we have made it half way through the week, and so far all is good, weather in Estepona is perfect, warm in the day and window open at night so it cannot be bad
Bella and I enjoy this time of the year as we walk so much the climate determines where and how far we walk, Today for the first walk, we went to the ocean, just the sound of the waves washing against the shore to me,  are restorative in the melody of the surf
. No matter how difficult things are, the waves take away that frustration and bring a balance and harmony back to life.. along with a good cup of Colombian Coffee that is

FEARS OVER TREE FELLING THREAT TO WILDCATS IN CLASHINDARROCH FOREST
. A wildcat group is concerned about the impact of tree felling on the population of the animals in Clashindarroch Forest in Aberdeenshire. Wildcat Haven, which has footage of a large cat in the forest, claims the Forestry Commission is carrying out "extensive commercial exploitation". It also fears plans for two large wind farms will threaten the wildcats. Forest Enterprise Scotland (FES) said the management of forests created a very good environment for wildcats. FES is an agency of the Forestry Commission, which manages Scotland's national forest estate. The agency said that if the wind farm proposals for the area went ahead, they would be subject to a full environmental impact assessment, public consultation and planning processes. It also said the turbines themselves would cover a relatively small area and the rest of the area within the boundary and near it would be restocked. The Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) and Scottish Wildcat Action (SWA) project has named the area as one of its five priority sites for wildcat conservation. The independent group Wildcat Haven said it had identified at least 13 wildcats living there, including the large wildcat which has been nicknamed the Beast. The group is concerned that the clearing of trees and the installation of the planned wind farms threaten considerable disturbance to the wildcats which could lead females to abandon or even eat their kittens. Wildcat Haven's Kev Bell said he asked Forestry Commission Scotland to cease its actions more than a year ago. "We're appalled by what's going on," he said. "The exact area where we've filmed the Beast just weeks ago, is right now being clear-felled, right when wildcats are breeding and raising kittens.
TESCO STARTS HOME DELIVERIES
..  A Tesco lorry has crashed into a house in Rothes, Moray. The HGV struck two cars before ploughing into the house on the High Street at about 03:20. The driver was taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin where it is understood he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Earlier, a 22-year-old man was taken to hospital in a critical condition after his Mazda 3 was involved in a crash with a Land Rover Discovery in Mintlaw. The crash happened on the A952, near Hardyards at about 22:35 on Saturday. The Mazda driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where police said he is being treated for life-threatening injuries. The 62-year-old woman driving the Land Rover was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries. Sgt Andrew Meikleham, of Police Scotland, said: "Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are at an early stage and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the incident to contact Police Scotland."
DRUGS WORTH £100,000 IN VEHICLE ON A9 NEAR INVERNESS
. Cannabis worth £100,000 has been found in a vehicle stopped by police on the A9 near Inverness. Police Scotland said the recovery was made by officers south of city on Friday afternoon. Two men, aged 45 and 43 years old, were arrested in connection with the seizure. They are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court.
PILOT SCHEME TO FAST-TRACK MIDWIVES FOR HIGHLANDS AND ISLANDS
. Twenty nurses will be offered the chance to train as midwives in the pilot scheme. Nurses in the Highlands and Islands have been offered the chance to be fast-tracked to become fully qualified midwives. Health Secretary Shona Robison has announced the £500,000 pilot scheme which would see the newly trained midwives working in the region. The University of Highlands and Islands will run the 20 month-long training. The Scottish government is helping to fund tuition fees, bursary support and salary costs for 20 students. NHS Highland and NHS Western Isles have welcomed the pilot scheme. Both health boards have struggled to recruit people to certain roles, including midwives. Ms Robison said: "We are taking action to widen access to midwifery and this pilot programme will allow nurses - both living in the Western Isles and Highlands and Islands and those who live elsewhere but wish to work in the region - to become registered midwives faster than the standard courses currently on offer. "I hope as a result of this, more nurses will consider a career in midwifery where there will be more posts available. "Applications are now open and I would encourage those who have considered training to become a midwife in the past but haven't pursued it to apply."
STUDY INTO ECONOMIC IMPACT AND POTENTIAL OF ROBERT BURNS
. Academics are to assess the economic value of Robert Burns to Scotland. A team at the University of Glasgow will also look at the future potential for the bard to boost jobs in hotels, restaurants and tourism. Led by Prof Murray Pittock, researchers will examine how the worldwide appeal of Burns is already supporting Scottish business and jobs. The Scottish government-funded study is believed to be the first to look at the economic impact of such an icon. Prof Pittock, of the Centre for Robert Burns Studies, said he hoped to establish how the fascination with Burns translated into economic return for Scotland. "Tourism and food and drink are two of the three largest industries in Scotland, which in their turn reflect a highly visible national Scottish brand in the global marketplace, a brand which owes an enormous debt to Scotland's 18th and 19th century history," he said. "We need to understand the relationship between our culture and our economy more fully in order to maximise our already world-leading position." Within the UK, Scotland attracts more culture and heritage visitors than anywhere outside London. The Robert Burns museum in Alloway is second only to Shakespeare among UK writers' museums in visitor numbers. Prof Pittock, pro-vice principal at the university, added: "With up to nine million people now attending Burns Suppers every year across the world and the recent decision by Norwegian Airlines to put his name on the tail fin of one of their planes, the global importance of Burns is established. "What is important is to know now is the value he brings to the Scotland, and how he can be used to further enhance our economy."
On that note I will say that I hope you have enjoyed the news from Scotland today,
Our look at Scotland today is an early photograph of Glasgow University... seemly fitting as we were discussing the worth of Robbie Burns to Scotland earlier....
Tumblr media
A Sincere Thank You for your company and Thank You for your likes and comments I love them and always try to reply, so please keep them coming, it's always good fun, As is my custom, I will go and get myself another mug of "Colombian" Coffee and wish you a safe Wednesday 16th May 2018 from my home on the southern coast of Spain, where the blue waters of the Alboran Sea washes the coast of Africa and Europe and the smell of the night blooming Jasmine and Honeysuckle fills the air
and a crazy old guy and his dog Bella go out for a walk at 4:00 am
on the streets of Estepona

All good stuff....But remember it’s a dangerous world we live in
Be safe out there

What is CPaaS and How Can Marketers Use it to Improve Customer Experience?
Omnichannel is fast becoming the industry standard for effective communication strategies, however, most enterprises struggle to make omnichannel a practical reality due to the huge upfront and maintenance costs involved. Here's how CPaaS helps brands deliver better customer engagement through omnichannel messaging more efficiently.
When was the last time you used a landline telephone to make an overseas call? Exactly - VoIP, Instant Messaging, video conferencing and chat have already transformed the consumer market, and the same is now true for enterprises as well. Marketing success today means reaching and responding to consumers where they are, on whatever device they’re using, in real time.
Omnichannel messaging is rapidly becoming the cornerstone for marketers and brands looking to deliver better customer experiences, increase brand visibility, and open up new channels for customer interaction. In fact, a new Aberdeen Group study states that companies with a strong omnichannel marketing strategy retained on average, 89% of their customers and witnessed a 9.5% year-on-year revenue growth.
There’s absolutely no doubt that it’s incredibly important for businesses to have a single platform that addresses all of their omnichannel communication or engagement needs. However, implementing a unified communication platform is an arduous task for the average business. After all, once you zero down on a set of viable engagement platforms, how do you then rope in support for the wide range of services that your customers have grown to expect? How do you manage and coordinate the messages sent across these platforms (voice, text, video) to deliver a consistent experience?
This is a problem area where brands get stuck. Stitching together disparate communications platforms such as voice, video, and text will mean pouring an inordinate amount of money, time and effort into building a solution that may or may not work. The issue is compounded by the fact that you also risk building siloed product-based structures that can’t adapt to ever-changing customer preferences.
This is where CPaaS steps in. CPaaS helps brands deliver seamless cross-platform communication through a single managed hub.
What is CPaaS?
When PaaS offers are specifically oriented toward supporting communication functionality, these are called communications PaaS, or cPaaS. In several cases, these platforms are integrated with special purpose communications infrastructure, while in other cases these operate on public IaaS offers. Increasingly, business application developers want to extend their applications with SMS, MMS, speech recognition, mobile browsing, two-factor authentication, intelligent assistants and other emerging options for fixed and mobile interactions. Additionally, enterprises are rethinking how they offer services, developing highly interactive automated customer and service experiences that allow them to compete in the emerging digital business and digital customer service and digital workplace. Today, cPaaS platforms are evolving to address this new class of enterprise communication requirements.
- Gartner
CPaaS leverages cloud technology to offer businesses of all sizes the ability to develop and embed communication features without having to invest in purpose-built applications. It provides businesses with a complete development framework that integrates real time communication (RTC) features into their existing communication stack. CPaaS typically includes software tools, sample codes, pre-built applications and standards-based application programming interfaces (APIs). CPaaS vendors also offer product support and documentation to help developers throughout the development process. Certain vendors also provide software development kits (SDKs) and libraries for building applications on different systems (desktops, mobiles etc.)
A CPaaS solution helps brands execute engagement strategies over multiple channels and devices, along with smart workflows to build seamless customer journeys. Essentially, this means that the customer could communicate with the brand seamlessly via multiple channels (text, video, voice) from inside the same user interface or app, without having to switch the screen.
Although marketing automation has been around for some time now, automation tools usually lack the ability to integrate standalone communication platforms like text, voice and over the top (OTT) chat and video into business workflows. While marketing automation tools are still integral to messaging, we need to expand their scope to incorporate multiple messaging channels, more data, and better segmentation than before.
CPaaS: The next frontier of integrated communications
Whether you realize it or not, most enterprise communication frameworks have gaps or blindspots in how they enable communication with each other, or customers, or vendors. It could be something as simple as interacting with customers through text messages at scale, or as complex as manually logging customer calls. CPaaS, with its API-driven architecture enables organizations to leverage voice, video, and messaging elements with ease.
WebRTC is a powerful technology standard enabling real-time audio and video in web applications. But it's an enabling technology--not a solution. The real promise of WebRTC is helping to design far better communications experiences. By moving communications capabilities into the world of software, through CPaaS, we can improve the communications experience and go beyond the legacy hardware-centric approaches of the past. Hardware vendors that offer "WebRTC support" only deliver a small fraction of the benefit of WebRTC. An API-driven software-first approach is required to make real gains in employee productivity and customer experience.
- Rob Brazier, Director of Product Management (Video & WebRTC) at Twilio
The CPaaS space was originally driven by startups such as Twilio, Plivo and TokBox, which offer APIs for embedding communications, while legacy communication vendors including Genband’s Kandy and Avaya’s Breeze have now introduced new CPaaS services. It is also interesting to note that enterprise communication behemoths Cisco and Vonage have acquired startups such as Tropo and Nexmo respectively. The growth of the CPaaS market is aligned to emerging trends in customer-facing communications. One of the key growth drivers of the CPaaS market is the need for contextual communications that augments customer experience. Say, for instance, you can order a pizza using an online food delivery app, but when you want to call the restaurant and change your order, you have to use the phone because there is no feature within the app that lets you call them directly. This is because developing and maintaining a system that dependably handles RTC is unreasonably expensive and complicated. Until CPaas, that is.
Speaking about the ROI and navigating the blindspots of customer experience, Rob’s tip to marketers is, “Look for friction in your customer journeys. Good indicators can be spots where your customers are leaving a task or transaction incomplete, unnecessarily calling customer service, or searching for information on your website. Optimize ROI by focusing on the customer, measuring cost and benefit for the journey end-to-end, and embracing iteration. Understanding the customer journey as a system of independent pieces that work together to deliver that customer goal allows you to measure the cost at each point in the value chain.”
CPaaS doesn't force you to take a rip and replace ‘big bet’ approach. CPaaS instead dramatically reduces the cost of experimentation and radically increases the flexibility available to any customer or employee interaction. You can break down a complex problem into bite-size peces, optimize them one at a time, and measure at every step of the way.
- Rob Brazier
As a marketer you know that your customers have unique interests and needs, but you also know that certain groups of customers behave in similar ways. One of the key facets of omnichannel communications, as powered by CPaaS tools, is segmenting your customers into groups, who can receive personalized messages that highlight their online behavior. Within a CPaaS system it’s easy to say, “Thank you Bob for being such a valuable customer, here’s 10% off your next upgrade of our Email Marketing Software” and also say, “Thank you Carol for being such a valuable customer, here’s 10% off your next purchase of our Content Marketing research paper” for customers with similar buying profiles, even though the product is completely different. CPaaS also helps you understand how your customers like receiving your message. While Bob likes to interact over emails, Carol likes SMS – this is how you reach those sub-segments of each larger segment.
Choosing the right CPaaS provider
As with any major purchasing decision, asking the right questions can help you select a service provider that works for you and grows with you. Since CPaaS is still a relatively young market segment, here are a few make-or-break questions that you need to ask yourself before you take the leap.CPaaS is not a DIY solution yet!
CPaaS is not a DIY solution yet!
CPaaS essentially provides developers with tools they need to create unique and robust app-based customer experiences without having to build all the back-end infrastructure from scratch — just a simple API integration is all that's required. However, certain solutions may require advanced development skills, depending on how you use the API.
Although certain vendors do provide a plug-and-play solution, where you just need to plug into your high-speed internet to access all the communication tools the CPaaS platform offers. Most CPaaS solutions require basic level API integration.
What are the features that your business needs? Most CPaaS vendors offer basic voice and messaging services, however there are a few niche players who also offer services such as MMS, video messaging, group messaging etc. Before zeroing down on a CPaaS vendor, you need to ensure what your business exactly needs.
Does the platform offer flexibility to make changes and APIs to support integrations? The best thing about a CPaaS solution is the extensive customization options that it offers, allowing you to pick the exact features your business needs and updating them as your business evolves. Solutions that provide code-level access to make modifications to the CPaaS solution is a huge plus that will help you increase productivity and drive bottom-line business growth.
Does the platform meet all your security and compliance requirements? A great CPaaS solution delivers built-in scalability, security and compliance as a result of being hosted on the cloud. With a scalable and secure CPaaS solution, apps built on the platform feature the benefits of those measures with zero additional effort from your end.
Finding the answers to these questions will help you differentiate CPaaS vendors, pinpoint potential providers and eventually find the perfect fit. Successfully implementing a CPaaS strategy will help you add scalable, flexible messaging to internal and customer-facing applications without making a huge, upfront investment in back-end infrastructure.
