Mila & Bluey
For Mila’s last birthday, I attempted to make a Shaun the Sheep cake topper. The result was better than I hoped, so I guess we have a tradition now. Kim made the cake and took care of the icing, as she did last year. In the last few months, Mila’s gotten very fond of Bluey, a wonderful Australian cartoon, which is extremely relatable to parents watching along as well. She regularly will even…

The Allure of Silicone Fondant Molds
Introduction:
In the delightful world of cake decoration, silicone fondant molds have emerged as the secret weapons of both professional bakers and passionate home enthusiasts. Crafted from food-grade silicone, these molds have revolutionized the way intricate designs and artistic details grace our sweet creations. This article explores the captivating allure of silicone fondant molds, from their versatile designs to the transformative impact they have on cake artistry.
Versatility in Design:
Silicone fondant molds are the architects of edible dreams, offering an expansive array of designs that cater to every whim and fancy. From delicate lace patterns to whimsical shapes and intricate floral motifs, the versatility of these molds provides a limitless canvas for creative expression. The ability to personalize cakes for various occasions, be it weddings, birthdays, or other celebrations, adds a touch of uniqueness to each creation.
Ease of Use and Precision:
One of the standout features of silicone fondant molds is their user-friendly design. The pliability of silicone ensures a seamless demolding process, preserving the finest details of the design with precision. The non-stick surface reduces the need for excessive greasing or flouring, allowing decorators to achieve a flawless release. This user-friendly aspect empowers both seasoned professionals and novice bakers to embark on their cake decorating journey with confidence.
Beyond Fondant: Culinary Exploration:
While the term "fondant" is in the name, the applications of silicone fondant molds extend far beyond traditional cake decorating. Pastry chefs and chocolatiers have harnessed the versatility of these molds to create intricate chocolate designs, marzipan embellishments, and sugar adornments. The adaptability of silicone molds opens the door to culinary exploration, encouraging chefs to experiment with different mediums and techniques to push the boundaries of confectionery art.
Tips for Optimal Usage:
1. Pristine Preparation: Ensure the silicone fondant molds are thoroughly cleaned and dried before each use, ensuring a flawless finish and extending the mold's lifespan.
2. Temperature Control: While silicone is heat-resistant, it's crucial to follow recommended temperature guidelines to maintain the mold's structural integrity and performance.
3. Colorful Creativity: Silicone fondant molds serve as a perfect canvas for color experimentation. Infuse vibrant shades of fondant or chocolate to add depth and visual appeal to your edible creations.
4. Storage Wisdom: Store silicone fondant molds in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, avoiding folding or creasing to preserve their shape and longevity.
Conclusion:
Silicone fondant molds have transcended their utilitarian role, becoming essential tools in the realm of cake decoration. Their versatile designs, coupled with user-friendly features, make them indispensable for anyone looking to add a touch of artistry to their sweet creations. As decorators and chefs continue to explore the boundless possibilities that silicone fondant molds present, it's evident that these molds are catalysts for a new era of edible masterpieces, where every cake becomes a canvas for creativity.

Hello Raincode Community! I have come to post about Yuma’s birthday<3
First of all, I apologize for being inactive, exams got in the way of me participating in Yuma Month. I’m still a little upset I wasn’t able to get through all the prompts. But hey, I’m at a 3.7 GPA at least 🫶🏼
Im currently working on Yuma’s birthday drawing. I decided to give up on Yakou to focus on my favorite purple wizard. (my bf always calls Yuma that 😭)
When I’m done drawing it, I’ll be going onto the rest of the prompts for Yuma Month, stay tuned!
Motivation really hit me hard, I’m just glad I have more Freetime now<3
Happy Birthday to my favorite Amnesiac Detective Yuma Kokohead! He’s trying his best, I love him sm.
Cakepop info:
- Cakepop is made by Halara and Fubuki.
- Cloud is hardened chocolate with caramel on the inside.
- The hardened chocolate varies with flavors depending on the detective’s preferences. The chocolate’s painted gray.
- The actual flavor of the cakepop also varies depending on the detective’s favorite cake flavors. Each of the 6 cakepops are made specifically to each detective!
Cake Info:
- The main flavor of the cake is Ube cake
- Coconut shavings decorated half of the cake (Desuhiko put the coconut there to make a pun out of Yuma’s name)
- The icing is Ube buttercream, the light purple icing and white icing is normal buttercream. The vibrant purple is fondant
- The umbrella is edible and is made out of white chocolate.
- The roses are made by Kurumi, and they are also made out of white chocolate (Small coconut shavings to give out a glitter effect).
- The frosting and cake was made by Fubuki, Desuhiko got the ingredients with Kurumi (Yakou supervised them)
- Shinigami somehow made herself to be a cake topper / Candle holder
Props to anyone who actually wants to bake it 😭

chisaki kai x gn!reader
fluff/one shot (cw//mention of 'drinks' and not proofread properly)
a/n ~ i forgot about his birthday, and then decided to write it at 10pm. it was supposed to be a drabble but ended as a one short, but i'm very happy with the end result. happy birthday overhaul, he kinda cute.
the 20th of the 3rd month. chisaki's birthday. chisaki wasn't the biggest fan of celebrations, nor did he see the need for them whatsoever. but this year was different, this year you were his lover and not his devout follower. you swore to yourself that his next birthday would be celebrated properly. a party, cake, presents, and the little bits in between. you would make it a birthday he would never forget.
past birthdays you've spent with chisaki weren't memorable in the slightest. back then you would just go on missions like you did every other day, helping him develop the quirk erasing drug or figuring out if heroes were on your tail. you always wondered if he chose to spend the day like that because he genuinely wanted to, or if he did so to ensure no celebrations were held.
you had started planning the big day the minute chisaki asked you to be his. and closer to the date you started letting other members in on the secret, chrono being your main assistant. chrono always listened to chisaki's wishes but this time he couldn't argue with someone on the same level as his boss. you were going to make it happen.
he has scheduled for more tests with the drugs to be done that day, typical. but you were a step ahead. you had chrono and the rest do that testing all night so that your plan of action could move forward that next day. whilst that was going on, you led chisaki to bed early that evening.
"why so early? i have things to do y/n." he stood across the bed, arms crossed and his brows furrowed. he wasn't exactly the happiest of souls that night.
"i'm sleepy kai, and i'm cold."
"i can get you a another blanket."
"no! c'mon just cuddle me, one night with no work won't kill y'know." you knew what you were doing, pouting your lips and giving him the most innocent puppy eyes.
"fine, just one night sweetheart.." he sighed, reluctantly slipping into bed and holding you from behind. you had him right where you wanted.
the morning ahead of you was a busy one. you got out of bed the second your eyes opened and went to see chrono. the testing had been completed, and the gang were slumped on the floor in exhaustion. poor things. the next phase was ready, getting chisaki out of the place. chrono had planned to take chisaki out for a scout around the area, since it was the least conspicuous explanation.
they left soon after, chrono messaging you the same time the door shut '4 hours to finish up y/n'. you had stashed balloons and streamers and party poppers in chrono's closet yesterday afternoon, and all you had to do was place them around the party room. you had chosen the tea room as the party room, given it was the most spacious part of the house that was still presentable.
mimic and others gathered to help decorate the room, whilst you headed for the cake. you decided to make the cake from scratch, a few others from the hassaikai chose to cook up the main meal. you poured your heart into the cake. you made sure every fruit on it was washed well and that all utensils used were cleaned properly after every use. you even made a fondant topper of the plague doctor mask that the group is known for.
you set the cake in the middle of the table, hurrying off soon after for the finishing touches. his gifts. they were the biggest surprise that you had for him. it wasn't usual for the two of you to exchange gifts, even after a year of dating, though it was never off limits either. shin helped you wrapped them up and you got to slap the little pom pom on top each one of them.
you arranged them on the table, everyone admiring all the hard work and efforts of the last four hours. you glanced over at the clock, realising it was almost time and on cue was a message from chrono 'we're coming in 2 minutes, get ready.' you were nervous, your heart pounding a little heavier than before and your hands becoming sweaty. you rushed everyone to hide anywhere they could, throwing yourself behind the table with shin and mimic. it was time for it to all act out.
shuffling noises came from the hallway, the noise continuing to approach the party room. you faced the two members beside you, a smile coming from the three of you in unison. the door creaked open and a muffled conversation crept in. three. two. one.
"SURPISE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOSS!"
you all jumped from the nooks and crannies that you had been hiding in, party poppers flying from across the room and the celebratory noises echoing all around. his face was in shock. he didn't have the foggiest clue what was going on. behind his dark eyes you could see droplets of tears being held back, maybe this was what he wanted from the very start.
"i told you, celebrations are not necessary for such things.."
"yes, but, y/n planned all this. you wouldn't want their efforts to go to waste would you boss?" chrono looked at you with a smile.
after hearing that you were the mastermind behind this chisaki let himself enjoy the party, well enjoy it as much as he could. he tried the food and indulged in a piece of your homemade birthday cake, amused at the little topper. the hassaikai really knew how to party. drinks were going around, music was filling the air and god did these guys know how to dance. behind all the group activities, you guys were still just ordinary people. chisaki was an ordinary person too.
the party went on until evening. at one point you drew chisaki outside, leading him to the garden so he could see the stars with you. they were beautiful that night. no matter where you looked it was beautiful inside and out. you pulled out a box wrapped in purple, handing it to chisaki with a smile.
"for you kai."
"you didn't need to y/n." he took the box, unwrapping its outer shell. he pulled the lid off the box and removed the tissue paper on top. the box held a pair of gloves. a pair of gloves with your name written on the side near the wrists. his eyes glowed like the stars in a blue night like blanket. he dropped the box on the bench, pulling you into a tight embrace.
"i hope you like them and maybe wear them sometime.." you hugged him back, patting his back gently.
"thank you sweetheart, you really go above and beyond for me." he pulled away and placed a small peck on your forehead. "i thought you forgot about today."
"why would i forget such an important day kai?"
"because you didn't say it to me this morning."
"i would never forget! i was gonna say it now. so, happy birthday kai. i love you so much."
"i love you too y/n. thank you for the making this birthday unforgettable"

Okay, I've reached another one of those points where I'm just completely baffled by something. Under the cut for length.
--------------------------------------------------
Wtf is people's problem with amaury guichon, the chocolate guy?? I thought for a while it was a case of reverse ironic enjoyment, where people liked the guy but pretended to hate him to be funny.
But in the comments of this video, people seem to be genuinely mad and I'm so confused?
In the video, he makes this cake:
A lot of it is people foaming at the mouth over fondant, but that's expected... But some are different.
"fuck you" why? Do they just hate the videos? Why do they keep watching???
And then there's this in the replies:
This actually prompted me to go to google and see if he'd done something hateful or something, because like that other comment says, all he did in the video was make a cake amd a topper for it... But nothing came up. Unless it's buried deep somewhere or just didn't come up for me, this guy hasn't dome anything publicly that warrants calling him a piece of shit and then not elaborating.
Can anybody tell me what's going on here?

There are just some customers you never forget.
I will never forget the guy who said my 'attitude was disgusting and that I should be ashamed of myself' cause I said I couldn't sell him the paper cake box since it had the logo of the company on it (such a stupid policy).
I will never forget the woman who gave me a business card for some sort of makeup technician(?). The reason she did this is because I have HORRIBLE acne. I'm not exaggerating, red irritated bumpy dry+oily skin, blemishes all over my forehead, cheeks, chin and jawbone, sometimes I get cysts along my jawbone or near my nose. I get flare-ups when my period is approaching. It didn't help that the hair net I had to wear would reveal all that. Because you know makeup will totally solve the problem. It might hide the redness but all the bumps, scars and cysts? How is makeup going to hide that?
I will never forget the other woman who said I should blend spinach in a drink to help my acne. She said it helped her so much with all 'this', motioning to her stomach area, and said it would help me too. Maybe she meant ovaries since hormones can also cause acne but idk. She was kinda vague about it and I didn't want to talk about it. Seemed like it was a personal struggle to her.
I will never forget the mid-age Spanish dude who said I should get the large aloe leaf I didn't know the store sold in the produce section and rub that on my face which will help with my acne. He came back a couple days later, another aloe leaf in his cart and asked if I tried his method. No fuck off I don't have a sunburn my skin is irritated with all the hormones, genetics and probably all the stress I get from customers like you. Even if it helped with the redness, it won't help with literally all the other problems.
I will also never forget the guy who said I need to eat more carrots to help with my acne.
Also the woman who gave me an attitude cause she wanted to buy a cake topper, but she wanted it for free cause it comes free with a cake. She was not buying a cake. I told her how much it cost and she started giving me 'tude saying that's a new policy she's never had to pay before blah blah blah. Ma'am. I've never seen your face here before and I've been working here for a year. Buy the 8$ topper or not I do not care. I do not get commins for this.
ALSO this one woman who made zero attempt to communicate with me. She only spoke Spanish and my white pale-ass self does NOT. I could say very very basic things regarding orders but anythin other then what's on the form (not in Spanish, only English) I don't know how to say. There was no one else in the department with me who spoke Spanish and they guy who I usually call to translate was not at work at that time. I could ask what flavour, what day do you want the cake for, basic stuff. This woman did not want a basic cake. She wanted a fondant cake with a popular luxury fashion brand on it. I know this because she pulled out her phone showing me the cake. The part that makes me mad is that I pull out my phone to use Boogle translate so I can tell her, 'no, we can't do this, fondant cakes needs two weeks in advance and we can't do logos'. She wanted a two tier fondant cake for the next day. She was not getting it, not using her own phone for translation, I'm clearly struggling over here tryin to pronounce everythin tryin to not sound like a gringo, typing in my phone responses and she's not budging. She eventually throws her hands up and leaves clearly frustrated. I tried to help lady🤷 She wasted so much of my time too.

Creating a show-stopping Captain America cake can be a rewarding experience, but it can also seem daunting, especially for novice bakers. Fortunately, it's not necessary for you to tackle it alone. Collaborative cake decorating is a fantastic way to achieve a stunning cake while having fun. This blog post explores the joys and benefits of working together to create a Captain America cake masterpiece. We'll provide planning tips, dividing tasks, setting up a decorating station, and troubleshooting common challenges. So, gather your fellow bakers, whether they're seasoned decorators or enthusiastic novices, and get ready to create a cake worthy of Captain America himself!
Planning Your Collaborative Captain America Cake
Theme and Design: Before diving in, discuss the desired design with your team. Do you want a classic Captain America cake with a round base, white star, and red stripes? Or perhaps a more elaborate design featuring the shield, helmet, or even a scene from a Captain America movie? Browsing online resources together for inspiration can be a great way to brainstorm ideas. Skill Levels and Preferences: Once you have a theme in mind, consider everyone's skill levels and preferences. If someone has experience with fondant work, they can take charge of crafting the shield or other decorative elements. Baking enthusiasts can focus on creating the perfect cake layers, while others can contribute their artistic talents to piping borders or lettering. Ingredients and Supplies: Make a list of all the ingredients and supplies needed based on your chosen design. Delegate tasks like shopping or prepping ingredients beforehand to ensure a smooth decorating process. Schedule a Decorating Session: Choose a date and time that work for everyone involved. Remember, cake decorating can take time, so factor in enough buffer room to complete the project without feeling rushed.
Dividing and Conquering: Tasks for Your Team
The beauty of collaborative decorating lies in dividing the workload. Here's a breakdown of potential tasks to delegate: • Baking the Cake: This can be a collaborative effort or assigned to someone with baking experience. Ensure everyone agrees on the cake flavour and size beforehand. • Preparing Frosting: Similar to baking, frosting preparation can be a shared task or assigned to someone comfortable with frosting consistency. • Creating Decorations: This is where artistic talents can shine! Depending on your design, tasks might involve colouring fondant, piping borders, cutting out shapes, or creating fondant figures. • Assembling the Cake: This stage involves layering the cake, adding frosting, and carefully positioning the decorations. Delegate tasks based on comfort levels and ensure everyone is aware of the overall design plan. • Cleaning and Presentation: Don't forget the importance of keeping the workspace clean and organized throughout the process. Assign someone to handle cleanup tasks and another to focus on the final presentation, which might involve adding sprinkles or cake toppers.
Setting Up Your Decorating Station
Having a well-organized workspace is key to a successful decorating session. Here's what you'll need: • Large Flat Surface: A kitchen table or countertop cleared of clutter provides ample space for everyone to work comfortably. • Decorating Supplies: Gather all the cake-decorating tools you'll need, including spatulas, icing combs, piping bags and tips, rolling pins, cookie cutters, and fondant smoothers. • Ingredients and Decorations: Have all the prepared cake layers, frosting, fondant, sprinkles, and other embellishments readily accessible. • Cleaning Supplies: Keep paper towels, dishcloths, and cleaning solutions handy for spills or frosting mishaps. • Good Lighting: Ensure your workspace has good lighting to see details clearly while decorating.
Decorating Like a Team: Tips for Success
Here are some pointers to ensure your collaborative cake-decorating experience is enjoyable and productive: • Communication is key: Maintain clear communication throughout the process. Discuss each step beforehand and ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities. • Embrace Flexibility: Be prepared to adapt and adjust the plan as you go. Unexpected challenges might arise, so stay flexible and open to creative solutions. • Celebrate Mistakes: Remember, even professional bakers make mistakes. Don't get discouraged by minor imperfections. Embrace them as part of the collaborative process and have fun fixing them together. Take Breaks and Have Fun!: Remember to take pauses to recover and prevent burnout. Play music, enjoy snacks, and, most importantly, have fun creating your masterpiece together!
Conclusion: Teamwork Makes the Dream Cake a Reality
Creating a Captain America fresh cake through collaboration is a fantastic way to celebrate the spirit of teamwork that embodies Captain America himself. It allows you to share the joy of baking with friends and family while learning new skills from each other. Whether you're a seasoned baker or a complete novice, working together fosters creativity, problem-solving, and a sense of accomplishment. So, grab your ingredients, gather your team, and get ready to embark on a sweet adventure! With a little planning, clear communication, and a dash of creativity, your collaborative Captain America cake will not only be visually stunning but also a delicious testament to the power of teamwork.

Cutting the wedding cake pleeease
Sweet tarts
When Reggie first proposed, Carrie couldn't wait to start planning their wedding. She had long dreamed of being a bride, and even though she knew the important part was becoming his wife, she was looking forward to the party and ceremony themselves.
Reggie told her he didn't much care about the flowers or decor, and was happy with whatever she wanted, and would help however he could. The one thing he was passionate about however, was the cake.
"I never got cakes that didn't come from the grocery store after we left Georgia," he confessed. "And then no cake at all once I hit my teenaged years, unless the guys bought them. So I want a big honking cake."
"No fondant," Carrie said. "Or naked cakes. But otherwise, you have my permission to go ham with the cake."
Reggie beamed and gave her a sloppy kiss, and was going to go research bakeries then and there, but Carrie informed them they needed to do things like set a date and come up with a guest list and venue first. He grumbled but happily got into the planning with her.
Finally as the date got closer, Reggie was allowed to scour all the LA bake shops to see whose cake would come out on top. He booked them under his name, as neither of them wanted a baker who only did the cake for the clout of baking a cake for the Carrie Wilson, and Reggie's job as a math teacher wasn't quite so high profile.
But she still went to every appointment, though in a dowdy brown wig and heavily made up so that 'Lina' could taste cakes with her fiancé without paparazzi banging down the doors. Such was the life of a pop star she supposed. Also it helped keep their wedding under wraps, as they hadn't exactly publicized their relationship, let alone their engagement and they both wanted to keep it that way.
Honestly Carrie wanted something that was just hers and she wanted that thing to be Reggie.
They tried flavour after flavour of cake, icing, filling, and browsing all the style books. Finally, they decided on a simple four layer cake, enough to feed their small wedding party and save a chunk for their anniversary. Reggie won out and got red velvet for half, but Carrie fought and was victorious in getting pink champagne for the other half. "Our signature colours," she cooed.
The outside was a soft yellow ombre, with bright tiger lillies, hot pink daisies, and sunflowers all over it, the same flowers that made up Carrie's bouquet. And because she did tell Reggie he could go ham, a little Han and Leia figurine for the topper.
The wedding day was a bit of a blur, honestly. Beautiful, but hazy and Carrie was super glad that Ray had volunteered to capture every moment for them with his team. That way she could always look back at her blubbering through Reggie's vows and stumbling over her own, too caught up in Reggie's supernova style.
The reception was also lovely, just a simple potluck with their closest friends in her dad's backyard, a dance floor over the pool with Flynn DJing, the Dirty Candi girls singing their first dance together. Sure, Carrie knew they could afford to hold the most lavish ceremony known to man, but she much preferred this; it was simple and full of the people they cared about, what more did she need?
Cake. She needed cake.
Reggie and her held the knife in their hands, cutting into the rich cake, red cocoa flavoured crumbs falling out as they cut a slice. It looked delicious.
"No smashing it into my face," she warned Reggie. He looked a little downtrodden at that. "It's a waste of cake!"
"We have four layers," he whined.
Carrie grinned, and took her slice, delightfully smooshing it around his mouth. Then taking a delicate nibble of the piece he was holding, too stunned to move. "You're right. And they're delectable. So no wasting it."
Reggie burst out laughing and smashed the rest of her slice into her face regardless, loving how she pouted and then laughed, admitting she deserved it.
Thankfully Kayla was on standby with wet wipes to clean themselves up, and some of Carrie's make up if she needed it.
They passed around the cake, eating their second slices much more sensibly, and danced the rest of the night away, still tasting the cake when they kissed on the floor.
And the third slices proved to be the perfect dessert to cap their wedding night off with.
Carrie sighed as she snuggled into Reggie, eyes drifting close, and pressing a kiss to his heart. "Happy Mrs. Wilson?" he asked.
"Ecstatic Mr. Wilson," she replied.
And Reggie's grin at being called that for the first time-that really took the cake.
