Honestly, anyone who hasn't been sticking their heads in the sand (which is...most of the fandom. but still.) knew that Genshin wasn't going to turn out very well. No matter how much we glazed the writing to hell and back, or how many times we said "_ will happen LATER and it will be really good!", we were going to end up in the late stages of the game with an unsatisfying story.

But...you know what? I don't think anyone could have predicted like. anything that has happened between 4.8 and 5.5.
