4. what made you choose this muse? (Since you have many, how did you choose your first ffxiv character?)

To be honest, I didn't really chose Skaar.

Before FFXIV, I wasn't particularly into MMO. I did play Flyff a long time ago but that's about it. So when one of my coworkers told me about FFXIV and I decided to try it out, I didn't really know what to do in the game. I wanted to play though because I had liked the few FF universes I knew and my partner was already playing too.

So basically, and I think that's quite literally how I formulated it at the time, I just wanted a character with a class that'd allow me to hit stuff and not think too much (because everything was new, and in English, and it was overwhelming already). And that's how I ended up playing a monk with a pun as a name 8D

It just turns out that I'm incapable of not making backgrounds for my characters, so he quickly became an Ala Mhigan monk (it was before HW, didn't have much lore then) and frankly a lot of his backstory was influenced by the monk quests.

The first character I made on purpose was Inge, so if we're talking about choosing then my mental process was:

I want a character with whom doing the MSQ feels in character;

A female character because I was just beginning my transition and idk, I felt like it'd be good for me to play the story as a heroic woman (I was right);

A Rava Viera because I loved Fran and the viera lore in FFXII (even though I ended up making my own for her village);

A healer for fast queues. I had never healed before but if it meant not waiting forever for a dungeon to proc, I was ready to. And the only healer available at level 1 is conjurer, so she ended up being a white mage.

As you can see, it was highly intellectual :'D And probably explains why it took me a while to truly understand who she was/is.

국내 서비스 오픈을 기념해 다양한 이벤트도 풍성하게 마련됐다. 먼저, 쌍쌍바와 협업한 이벤트가 눈길을 끈다. 공식 유튜브 채널 모마TV를 통해 쌍쌍바 나눠먹기 콘텐츠를 공개하고, 해당 결과를 맞춘 참여자 중 추첨을 통해 푸짐한 쌍쌍바 박스(40개들이)를 증정하는 것. 또한, '쌍쌍바 맵'을 플레이할 때마다 재료 아이템을 얻을 수 있으며, 이를 가장 많이 모은 상위 40명에게 추가 보상이 주어진다.

게임 플레이를 통한 보상도 다양하다. '쌍쌍바 맵'에서는 특별한 S+ 등급 진화 캐릭터 ‘쌍쌍바 초코 쌍둥이 데니���’를 얻을 수 있으며, 미션 완료 시 쌍쌍바 콘셉트의 주사위, 엣지, 배경 아이템���지 획득 가능하다. 여기에 별도로 진행되는 다이아 광산 이벤트에서는 최대 1만 다이아를 얻을 수 있는 기회도 제공된다.

프리프 유니버스는 단순한 국내 서비스 오픈에 그치지 않고 글로벌 e스포츠 무대에도 본격적으로 뛰어든다. 함께 발표된 '프리프 월드 챔피언십 2025(FWC 2025)'는 총상금 11만 달러(약 1억 4,000만 원) 규모로 개최되며, 한국 유저들도 처음으로 본선 무대에 참가할 수 있게 됐다. 지역별 랭킹전을 통해 본선 진출 티켓을 확보한 뒤, 전 세계 강자들과 치열한 그랜드 파이널 토너먼트에서 최강자를 가리는 구조다.

Week 1 of the Misadventures!

To be honest I've been playing flyff for a little longer than a year now and all these screenshots are from that time BUT I thought it'd be fun to share my stories that I had while playing the game while sharing these screenshots! This first post we'll just be playing catch up until we get to where i'm at now

To begin my little cherry punch here is in the acrobat class, I only started playing because i saw you could be a clown in it so i had to check it out. I did not know wtf I was doing until a kindhearted player named buffandheal showed me the ropes. I still cant play

Tbh my main goal in this game is to get cool outfits so when I got the steampunk fit I was taking sooo many screenshots. I thought it was hilarious that the npc were so small tho

SO! I got used to the grind even though it was slowly killing me. Playing with other people was super fun too since I met so many interesting people. I can only remember around three now. One who basically mugged me before i knew what was going on (loved that guy), one who invited me to my first party and forced me to grind with him for hours (loved that guy too) and buffandheal of COURSE!

Quick side note, the jester outfits are so ugly. I saw cherry in this for .2 seconds before I had to get him out of that

I hit a huge wall after I reached level 60 and the game became stupidly grindy afterwards. Before I reached this point I was actually trying to follow along with the lore (lol) so when everything became fetch quests I was ready to quit all together. Then I went to reddit to see what my best course of action should be and they said to make an assist and BOOM! LimePunch was born

CherryPunch and LimePunch are cousins. This doesnt matter but i thought it'd be cute to give them lore. Check out my lore version of cherry

Anyways I got that annoying guild quest that everyone gets so BOOM! LemonPunch was also born hence the name of the tumblr. Fruit Punch guild was also born making cherry the leader. Quick tidbit but CherryPunch was supposed to be FruitPunch based off a character in X and Ash but it was already taken.

I level these 2 bad boys up to 35 and Cherry is currently at 65. Im trying to get to where I can power level them (wow im learning game terms!). I did the halloween quest and got them some sick outfits. It looks kinda stupid on Cherry tho so he's still a sailor....

Why Did I Choose My URL: Ok so. Like 20 000 years ago there was a game called Flyff right. And I was gonna make an acrobat which eventually goes into a ranger, so bows. And so I pulled that out of thin air cos “archer”. Then I also used it as my FF.net name and here we are.

The Life of Me

Hi, I am Jonas Gabriel C. Rivera. I am 17 years of age. I was born in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan and lived there since. I study at St. Paul University Philippines and this has also been the school I had ever attended (WHOOO! SCHOOL PALANG LOYAL NA JK). I was quite a confusing person. I wanted to do a lot of things but lacked the will to do so. I wanted to have a lot of friends but I didn’t socialize that much. I wanted to step out my comfort zone but was also afraid to. I wanted to be confident but I was too shy and insecure. But reflecting in my past years I was able to overcome such things. The things I wanted to do, I tried to muster the courage to do them and was able to. I learned that I did not need a lot of friends but those who I can truly call friends, those who are true to themselves, even if there were just a few. I tried out new things so I can gain a lot of experiences and memories to turn back to. I started to build up my confidence thanks to a lot of people who supported me, believed in me, and cheered me on. I was able to do a lot of things that I just dreamt of before, I was able to make my life enjoyable, and I was truly living. I turned my life from a life of “What if’s “to a life of “Oh well’s” a quote I got from a game named Life is Strange. 

I am quite a hardcore gamer. I started from play Warcraft III when I was around 7, from then I played a lot of games such as, Flyff, Ran Online, Grudge MU, Crazy Kart, Counter Strike, KOS, Battle Realms, and a lot more. At that time it was just casual gameplays, and then on 2013 Dota 2 was out of beta and was made free to play. That was where I started to play a lot more seriously; gaming was not just a hobby anymore. For me it became a passion. I played a lot to get good at it, to understand the game better, and be more knowledgeable about the game. There where constant overnights just to play the game. Sleeping late at night and waking early in the morning, playing all day long to continue to enhance myself in the game. I was totally immersed in playing Dota 2. As of today I have a total of 4185 hours of gameplay in Dota 2 alone. I may be not as addicted to playing it nowadays for I have new games to play, but I still find time to play once in a while. I’m also an avid fan of anime. To me anime was a paradise, it is my “to do list” alongside gaming. It was not just a simple show of characters, in my eyes they were art. The showcase of strong emotions, those great flows of the stories, the mesmerizing sceneries, and stunning soundtracks. A mix match of all those were a masterpiece. Anime also taught me a lot of things; it opened my eyes to a wider perspective. And my favorite anime is Code Geass. I have no words or explanation for it would not be enough. Watching it yourselves would be for the best. While I do a lot of watching anime and playing games, I never forgot about my studies for I have a clear goal in mind. That is to repay the things my mother has done for me, yes I’m a “mama’s boy” and I am proud to be one for my mother is the best thing I would ever have. My dream to become a pilot is not just for myself but also for my mother, I want to take her to a lot of places as a payment of my debts to her. I’m just a simple boy who wants to be a good son to his mother while playing games and watching anime. 

As of today I’m into photography and cinematography, and even though I’m still new to it, I’m spending a lot of time to be good at it, I even have a group who is supporting me and teaching me the ropes to be better. I’m living a comfortable life taking one step at a time, a rather simple life.

Where do I see myself 10 years from now? Was my learning in SPUP vital to where I’m leading to? - I see myself as a pilot, it was my dream ever since I was a kid, I believe that a lot of my learnings from SPUP are vital for my future because my dream is not an easy one.

Was STEM the best choice after all? - STEM was a great choice for me because it is what is necessary for my future, I am also confident that I would learn a lot from STEM that would be useful for me in the future.

What course will you take in college and why? - I would take an IT course in my college because it is what I am inclined to, I believe it would be a fun course and it is a course I am willing to study.

What topic would you like to learn in this subject? - So far E-tech is a fun subject for I am able to learn things not just through a book but through experiencing it myself. I believe I would learn a lot from this subject. And if I were to pick a subject to learn about it would be all about photography and cinematography

Oh god, you are so amazing. ;A; Like. I can’t even tell you how much your messages keep making me smile in the darkest of times. I feel about ready to shoot myself to be honest. But. . .Nah, I’m okay. I’mma do this. I have 7 hours worth of schoolwork before an exam tomorrow and it’s already like 9:30 and UH HAHAHAHA I’M ON TUMBLR AND PROBABLY GONNA GO GRIND ON FLYFF GOLD. UHHHHHHHHHH.....yeah. Also spent like 30 minutes updating my iPod with a plethora of new K-Pop songs I found. Jfc. And I have so much I have to get done. . .phone calls, school, more stuff for the OTHER school I’m trying to transfer to, appointment stuff, medical stuff, finding a roommate where I need to move. . .uggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh................I am so tired. Not to mention there’s other things like cleaning and laundry and self up-keep and wow. Uh. I don’t. . .ugh. I need a long, hot, Lush-bomb bath. Any bath bomb, really. Fucking hell. My head hurts so badly.
