Best Jeanist is not my favorite Pro-Hero. Especially when he tried to "fix" Katsuki by changing his hairstyle against his will, restraining Bakugou or forced him into a pair of tight jeans. So it really pissed me off when Jeanist had the nerve to say to Dabi that Endeavor's abuse to his wife and kids should NOT be made public. What are your thoughts on Best Jeanist?
...Okay. So. My opinion on Best Jeanist has always been...complicated.
Do I understand why he treated Bakugou the way he did? Yes. Do I understand what he was trying to teach Bakugou? Yes. Do I think that Bakugou has respect for Best Jeanist? Yes.
Do I think he went about it the right way? HELL NO.
Putting Bakugou, someone who relies on maneuverability in the air being a possible matter of life or death if he lands wrong, in tight jeans? NO. Keeping him restrained while he messed with his hair against his will? As you mentioned, NO.
I do understand that Best Jeanist was trying to get Bakugou to understand why it was important as a hero to connect with people, and have a good public opinion. That is shown as being a good thing, and also being a decent human being and caring about the people you’re saving is, you know, a decent thing to do.
I mean, this is Bakugou. Bakugou basically hates everyone, and only begrudgingly respects a few. And he’s a jackass. He’s a jackass that’s a product of his environment, which has changed enough that he’s learning how not to be a jackass, but he is still, and will probably always be, a little bit of a jackass. (He’s also our jackass, so.)
But still, this is Bakugou. Bakugou who’s family is not...stable, who got held by the sludge villain while nobody but Midoriya helped, who at this point was also chained and muzzled on live tv probably triggering him (and also not being a good experience for me who nearly got physically sick, but moving on), and who is also overwhelmingly himself at all times.
So those were my feelings before this new bit. I did worry about him, because it seemed like he actually died, and I do enjoy fics where he’s a nice person.
That being said, after this new move? FUCK no.
This is like, a prime example of everything that is fucked up in hero society. Seriously. I’ve talked before about how All Might isn’t the best because he too is caught up in hero society, but this new stuff with Jeanist? This is fucked.
Sure, Dabi/Touya is messed up, and his murders of innocent people should not be glossed over or excused, but he is absolutely in the right to expose Endeavor. As something that affected himself, and his family, he should talk about it. Could it be harmful to his family? Yes. Should he maybe have given them a heads up that he was doing it so that they could avoid the broadcast if they needed to? Yes. Should he have not done it? No. He is absolutely in the right to do this and no one should have stopped him.
So yeah, right now I am straight up pissed at Best Jeanist. I’m not sure how this all is gonna play out but I do not trust this man. Seriously. I’m angry.

prohero Fuyumi and Bakugou featuring vigilante Dabi
villain/vigilante/stain-esque Momo who is angry and savage and right
villain class A but Bakugou’s the last one to turn over and he does because the hero commission tries to force information out of him on the rest of the class and they come rescue him
...sports festival you beloathed
...percy weasley
also sugawara from haikyuu??
these are all new ideas from the past week or so, by the way, not even counting old ideas in my head

Bakugou Katsuki has the weirdest skills and it’s insane.
He has complete control over his quirk. He can explode an entire area, or just make a small intense blast, or little sparklers. He can fly. He can fly. He’s just insanely good.
And he can cook. And play the drums. And pickpocket. And he’s third in the class in grades, only behind Momo and Iida. (I’m sure there’s more I’m forgetting at the moment.)
Jesus fucking christ.

So apparently projecting onto Shouto means that Shouto is now going apeshit and kidnapping his entire class to fuck off to an isolated resort location, featuring my anger at the current top three heroes, Dabi Fuyumi and Natsuo being supportive, Katsuki being as nice as possible in order to fucking scare the shit out of Midnight All Might Nedzu and Jeanist, Uraraka throwing people out windows nicely, and Izuku and Tomura bonding over being child soldiers for causes they didn’t entirely realize what they were when they first started.

Things I have done in the past like 3??? Whole Months???? (I’m so sorry)
Had a grand total of 5 mental breakdowns
Dealt with my mother having 3 mental breakdowns of her own
Scholarship applications???
I got behind on school (like 3 times?)—but I am caught up enough now so yay
My motivation has been crazy weird, mostly non-existent but whatever
Had a very bad nightmare that might have been stress induced where my sister died and I couldn’t contact her for like, 12 hrs after SO (yes that was related to one of the mental breakdowns)
A lot of traveling happened
I saw over 205 birds of prey in said traveling, most of which were red tailed hawks but also some other various hawks and eagles and kestrels etc, including 4 whole bald eagles.
*Waves hand vaguely* other ongoing crises
Oh a good thing my brother initiated a hug and I almost cried
I don’t know this one friend hasn’t texted me back and I don’t know if I’m more worried if she doesn’t like me or if she’s hurt or what
IT GOT REALLY COLD AND I WAS OKAY BECAUSE I’VE LIVED COLD PLACES BUT I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT FRIENDS AND STUFF
*more vague handwaving indicating more crises*
Got really sad and missed this one aquarium I used to go to frequently when I was like five or so but we still go back and visit occasionally and I would watch the sharks for at least an hour every time (Oklahoma State Aquarium, they have a shark tunnel and I love it there. I miss living close enough to visit it more)
I also miss the one place my family lived where we were all really happy together and I know going back there won’t bring that back but I still miss it
4 meltdowns! Slightly different than a breakdown, still very not fun
nearly fucked up my wrist bad during one of the meltdowns
World? Events? (bad ones specifically) that remind me of a different world event that was somewhat traumatizing to me
I have a volunteer job on top of everything else and it makes me very happy but also takes up time so that
I rough-draft wrote about 6 chapters in the past 31 hours be proud of me (one of those is done now :D)
So! I will be slightly more active now!

Hello! Is it wrong of me to compare Katsuki Bakugou with Helga G. Pataki from "Hey Arnold"? They both started out in the beginning of the series as bullies, but quickly became like-able characters since they are very complex? I mean Helga is basically neglected by both her parents who practically worship her older sister Olga (it's disturbing what Helga's parents--her Dad especially, made Olga go through). Whose to say that Katsuki doesn't have a similar situation?
OOOO THIS IS GOOD
I’ll be honest, I didn’t watch Hey Arnold. However, I do know what you’re talking about because of some youtube rabbit hole I fell down at some point, and you make a VERY good point.
Honestly? We barely get anything in canon. I wouldn’t be surprised (whether meaning to or not) that Katsuki is actually in a pretty similar situation to Helga. (There’s a reason people like them. I mean, some people also apparently think Katsuki is hot, but he’s such a gremlin. I think him being a complex character is a main reason why a lot of people like him.) Of course, Katsuki doesn’t have any siblings (though wouldn’t it be just like him to be hiding an older sibling lol), but based on what we see in canon, Katsuki is left to deal with everything by himself.
He’s not alone, but he is isolated. Very isolated. (Projection? maybe a little.)
From what we see in canon, it’s almost already happening. Almost all adults take Katsuki’s improvements for granted (the exceptions are rarely Aizawa and fucking Endeavor), while other students get praised. Especially with All Might and Izuku. (I’m fed up with All Might. He’s a dumbass. Izuku’s fine but All Might is on thin ice and it is cracking.)
Anyways, the answer is YES. OH MY. THE PARALLELS. It actually might also be considered that Katsuki is both Olga and Helga, which almost makes it worse, because he doesn’t know what will make adults react with high praise and higher expectations or react with nothing :)

A bunch of asks got deleted from my ask box because as we all know, tmblr is a functional website. I remember some of them so I will try to respond to them all here:
- I have not played maneater but it looks like the kind of game I would have some fun with, not gonna lie.
- You are absolutely free to use my heacanons and ideas! let me know if you ever do make something with them, I'd love to see it!!
- In harry potter and the cursed child albus is terrible at magic and called a squib by some of the other students, I have an intense headcanon for why he is like that
- "hello :-)" hello!! :)

Sometimes I think that Dabi probably could have just...killed everyone in that forest the camp attack. Like, he melted those people in the alley alive. There have been other instances where he just fucking destroys shit. Class A and B are alive because he decided not to kill them. He wasn’t under orders to keep them alive or anything, except for like, Bakugou. That’s 19 other students, plus the pros that were there. He decided not to kill them.
And then I think about how if Fuyumi is Touya’s twin or even if she’s not she likely has a very powerful quirk too, but it just favors ice. I stand here on my stage of manufactured reality in which Fuyumi can essentially do this to anything if she tries or make ice blast out to contain everything in a 5 mile radius like what Shouto did to poor Sero in the sports festival on a huge scale.

Okay so hair color debate: I always thought it’d be amuzing if Touya’s hair was red with white highlights like Fuyumi’s reversed, which Could Maybe be a thing, but consider he has red and white hair, he dyed it more completely white, and then put terrible black dye on top of it like an absolute drama queen??

Bit of an unpopular opinion. I honestly have nothing against Iida Tenya, but I don't like him as much as I do Kirishima (at least I like him a lot more than that damn pervert Mineta!). I just find Iida a bit too .. controlling, I guess you could say for my tastes. Is that okay?
Honestly? That’s fine! I personally understand him, and get him as a person (hello, hyperempathy and I people watched as a child and I like to figure out how people operate), but it’s perfectly fine to not like him. I do see where you’re coming from though, that boy needs to have control over his life (sometimes that control means taking out what hurt your brother, and yes I will always remember that time he tried to kill a man).
Sometimes, even in real life, you just do not vibe with people, and that’s okay. You shouldn’t force yourself to hang out with someone you are just not compatible with, and that goes for fiction as well. Of course, sometimes you might have to, or might want to for some reason, but if you don’t feel good with it, just don’t. Cultivate your own experience, my friend :)

While Midnight wasn't exactly my favorite out of the Pro-Heroes, I'm saddened that she died in the current chapter arc. This make any sense? Sorry for spoilers.
You’re good! and I feel pretty much the exact same way lol.
I love Midnight’s character! I also like her! Do I think some of the decisions she’s made are stupid? Yes! (Example: Making advances at first years! I get it if you flirt with the crowd, but ma’am, fifteen and sixteen year olds should not deal with your thirty year old flirting because they are minors and considered underage in most if not all countries!)
So I am sad about her death as well, despite my feelings towards her.

Lately, I've been hearing people talking how scary of a villain that Izuku and/or Bakugou could be or how he could be as a vigilante. And it's has me thinking, what about Bakugou and Midoriya getting fed up with the BS from the hero society, but don't want to follow the League's example and become vigilantes instead? Does that sound like an interesting concept? I would write this but I have zero writing talent.
OOO YES!!!! (Also a lot of writing is coming up with the idea, and you’re very good at that, clearly!)
My brain has decided to write this now but a few things I should mention:
What makes them switch from wanting to be heroes to vigilante/villains? because if we’re making them join forces (which I really want to do) then it had to be an experience early enough for them to still get along. And it has to manage to affect both Midoriya and Bakugou.
Also, are they well known? Do they have a reputation? Because that very much impacts how the rest of the class gets involved, and how hero society reacts to them. That’s all very fun.
So, I’ll give you a few options (anyone who wants to weigh in on this can):
1. Before they get their quirks, Inko is injured at the hospital trying to get a quirkless patient out in an evacuation. The heroes crash the building and don’t care that both were injured. Inko tells both Bakugou and Midoriya about it (Midoriya was staying with the Bakugous). They get angry and start plotting. They become well known vigilantes everywhere, and several members of class A get involved in following and don’t go to UA (Aizawa still adopts all of them though). Society is largely split on public opinion, but most of the younger generation understands and supports them.
2. Before they get their quirks, Inko brings home someone with a mutation quirk to treat them at the house, because the hospital wouldn’t treat them due to their ‘villainous’ appearance. Inko is very angry and goes on a rant to Midoriya and Bakugou (Bakugou was over for a sleepover) about the bad treatment of people who are quirkless or have ‘villainous quirks’. They both decide to help the best they can, but the hero commission catches on sooner and tries to suppress them (they don’t realize their ages). Their message slowly starts spreading, first through the vigilantes and villains, then through the more outcast members of society, then to everyone else. Although class A is still all going to UA (plus Shinsou and Inasa to round out the numbers), they and Aizawa turn to Bakugou and Midoriya’s side. There’s a huge news break one day and 90% of people end up on Bakugou and Midoriya’s side after they expose the hero commission.
Either way, Bakugou and Midoriya manage to keep it a secret from basically everyone, after hiding it from such a young age. Both are also really badass, and have special outfits that make it hard to tell how old they are and how many of them there are. They are terrifying.
Also not long after you sent me this I found this song and I’m going to be listening to this on repeat while writing this.

Read a few of your replies to asks, and I am wondering. Why do you dislike All Might so much? I can understand a part of it because of his favoritism towards Midoriya -- which is something a teacher shouldn't do. But I feel that there's more to it than just that.
Oh...okay. here we go.
I actually like All Might? He’s a good hero! He cares about people a lot, and he’s very willing to put himself on the line to save others. He’s done a lot to get where he is now. He was originally quirkless too! And he’s a badass! And also he still fought as a hero while he was slowly dying! The things he has done for Japan (and maybe the US too?) are really amazing and I love him for all that :)
That being said, I am someone who clearly sees the flaws in hero society. This man is complicit in that, and makes some dumbass decisions on his own too.
1. the sludge villain incident: this one is small, because it’s really not his fault, but he didn’t exactly acknowledge that Bakugou was fighting the sludge villain for a while, and he’s a child?? Everyone just assumed Bakugou knew what he was doing, and All Might did get him out, but Midoriya (I love that kid so much) had to attack himself before anything happened. stupid decision, but we can blame it on hero society
2. All Might is not subtle. at all. Does he want Midoriya to have a target on his back?? (this is partially a Midoriya thing but Midoriya is also a child and All Might is an adult) Also, he could have done better actually explaining things to Midoriya. Midoriya is also really fucking weird especially with the new parts of One for All, but still, that could have gone better. Inko is amazing for dealing with all that.
3. Sports festival. Not exactly his fault, as he was taking the lead of the people around him, but so much stupid stuff happened there. The awards were iffy (I did not like reading it) and some of the other matches were just not handled well. He could have done a lot better.
4. The blatant favoritism and not giving a fuck about any of the other students (which you mentioned) (I’m the most angry about Bakugou, because they actually interact a lot and Bakugou feels responsible for stuff but All Might still does not show any care towards him other than one weird half hug head pat thing)
5. This man does not know how to teach. He’s a disaster. He also has the wildest students ever but still. And I’m still wondering whether he teaches heroics to the other years? I hope not because they would literally be learning nothing poor dears.
6. Who lets a seven year old watch their guardian nearly die on tv. Consider, Eri might see whatever-happened-to-Bakugou? I’m not about that. Nah.
7. Again, not really his fault, but Tomura has issues and All Might is not helping at all. Tomura, poor boy, got possessed by All For One? He’s been a puppet all his life. Not All Might’s fault, but still has an impact.
Note: Other adults and teachers etc have ALSO made stupid decisions, but I’ll yell at them some other time. Even Aizawa has messed up, but that man is trying really hard actually. All other heroes are likely to get punted into the sun at some point. (I do actually have a fic in really rough drafts where the Todoroki Twins pull a Stain and just start beating up stupid heroes. They also get the stupid villains.)
So I do like All Might, yes, he’s a great dad to Midoriya, but in some fics I bully him to get my frustration out, and he’s on very thin ice that is cracking and if he doesn’t move?? He’s falling into the bitter void that houses various other characters I don’t really care for but I will occasionally give them a happy ending because I’m a nice person
(see: Endeavor and Mineta. Endeavor might actually get a redemption arc and if he actually changes I might let him get a happy ending away from the family he traumatized [aka Your Sister Would Be Ashamed! universe]. Mineta, if he gets his head out of his ass and acts like a decent human being and leaves people alone without a restraining order needed, could also get a semi-happy ending in the form of managing to be a hero [aka an in progress universe I call Do You Still Believe].)
(All Might, I would tolerate enough to give him a happy ending most times, but sometimes I just go CONSEQUENCES.)
Hope that explains it somewhat :)

I really loved your Bakugou & Midoriya sibling story. And I was wondering, do you plan on writing anymore stories of them being brothers? Maybe having Bakugou going into protective big brother mode on Monoma's sorry ass!
Okay. Are you ready for this long answer?
Yes, I’m writing more. A parallel story of sorts? Told from outside perspectives the whole time. Plus some other in au stories of antics.
The parallel story features literally 90% of people who meet them thinking that they are brothers. All of them get corrected on their assumptions. (Except for Iwata-san, the guy that runs the Eraserhead booth. He thinks they’re brothers, they don’t correct him, and they honestly both think of him as an uncle at this point.)
Is one of these people Kendou, after Midoriya goes protective of Bakugou on Monoma, gets Bakugou telling him he can fight his own battles, and when Monoma insults Midoriya Bakugou literally does the sweetest smile before demolishing his existence?
Mayhaps :)
(Also, I’ve been thinking about Midoriya attempting to give Bakugou’s date the shovel talk and mildly traumatizing them, and Bakugou succeeding in giving Midoriya’s date the shovel talk in a way no one expects but is really effective, but I can’t decide who said dates would be. Let me know if you have suggestions!)
(Anyways, thank you!! I’m glad you like the boys, and my fic!)

Just read your new story staring Bakugou, Momo, Aoyama and Kaminari being in a group who speak multiple languages, and I love it! Would Izuku join their group later on or at least knows that "Kacchan" speaks more than Japanese?
Ah, hello!!
Izuku (basing him a bit off of me here) has not learned another full language (he’s actually pretty good at English though), but he knows how to write Japanese phonetically in many different scripts. More secret code than another language. It’s easier to make notes fast and secret that way!
He does learn that they all know English before the rest of the class; right now he only knows that “Kacchan” knows English swears, and he overheard him talking in French on the phone one time so he assumes he knows French. He would not be surprised by Aoyama and Bakugou hanging out.
However, while everyone else has their own accented English (Momo with her posh British, Aoyama’s French, Kaminari’s Australian, and Bakugou’s Chav) what barely passable English Midoriya knows is in the form of a very strong Southern US accent. Think cowboys.
Anyways thank you!!! I’m glad you like it!!!

What sort of animal (or animals) do you think that Bakugou would keep as a pet(s)? Ranging from a cat, something exotic like a wolf or something prehistoric like a Velociraptor. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the world of BNHA resurrected dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts for a zoo enclosure to house pets.
You ready for me to write something really long?
Bakugou might have a cat. I wouldn’t be all that surprised, they’d probably get along. Or a snake, or some type of dog that looks really intimidating but is a total softie.
However, you mentioned the dinosaurs. I’m going to use my paleontology experience here.
So Jurassic Park sucks, because it’s a theme park and not a zoo that’s trying to help the animals, and although they have area to roam in, they are bound to get bored. And they would not make good pets, so let’s say they’re only in zoos.
The zoo or sanctuary or something wherever Todoroki and Midoriya and Bakugou are has a special program, working with one in the US, with Utahraptors. If you don’t know, velociraptors are actually more in the 3-4 foot range, while Utahraptors are more like the raptors in the first Jurassic Park. Slightly bigger than the ones in Jurassic World, I’d say.
So Bakugou visits when he’s a kid, and because he’s a being of chaos that still follows all rules set by adults he likes, he starts volunteering with the Utahraptors.
Because the Utahraptors have been studied for a while, researchers are able to pick up speech patterns. The raptors make noises from similar to a crocodile to literally sounding like a bird. It’s pretty cool.
(The raptors have also learned a lot of Japanese.)
But one day Bakugou’s in a bad mood, and since the researchers all love him and trust him, he’s in charge of doing something by the door all by himself.
One of the raptors recognizes not only the-juvenile-human-carer-is-there-behind-the-enclosure, but also the-juvenile-human-is-there-behind-the-enclosure-and-is-upset. So she hops the fence and goes to comfort the juvenile because none of the other stupid humans are doing it.
The researchers are very surprised, but Bakugou’s happy again so they’ll let it slide.
The raptor (her name is Miku) essentially goes back to the pack and manages to communicate “the humans are not doing a good job caring for this juvenile, therefore he is now my-juvenile-to-raise.”
So the researchers and carers facepalm the next time Bakugou comes in and he not only gets pulled into the enclosure, but Miku the raptor starts preening him.
Bakugou is kind of offended, because he can take care of himself thank you, but having a raptor mom is kind of nice.
The problem comes when Bakugou misses a weekend visit (because he needed to study or something) and Miku literally breaks out and finds Bakugou.
Bakugou was not expecting his raptor mom to show up in his room on a Sunday, but she keeps Mitsuki from opening his door until he’s ready so it’s fine. He’s kind of disappointed they have to walk back to the zoo/sanctuary together, but the looks on the researchers’ faces when they realize Miku broke out to check on her son is hilarious.
So flash forward years, Bakugou and Miku have a system to show when he’ll next come in, so she doesn’t have to break out to check on him. The researchers tried to keep Miku in for a while, but all the other raptors are on board with helping her break out so it doesn’t work. Bakugou literally calls her Mom, and Miku calls him “*large crack*—*callsign for my-juvenile*”.
The day after Bakugou returns from being kidnapped, Miku breaks out because he doesn’t come to visit. Miku appears at his house to a very sad and upset Bakugou. Bakugou gets the love and affection he deserves, even though all the human adults in his life have failed him in that regard.
The class finds out when the house arrest thing happens. Because Bakugou couldn’t go to the zoo that Sunday. He’s back in class Monday.
Monday appears, and Aizawa-sensei is late to class. He comes in, and goes “Sorry I’m late, there’s a Utahraptor trying to break into UA.” Bakugou’s head hits his desk.
Everyone else is freaking out. “Is it contained now???”
Aizawa-sensei grins. “No. I let it in. It was very polite, I don’t see a problem.”
Everyone starts screaming, except for Bakugou and Midoriya.
Midoriya goes, “Don’t you volunteer with the raptors, Kacchan?”
Bakugou ignores him.
The door opens and this raptor just strolls in.
The class goes silent.
Bakugou raises his head.
Bakugou: “Hi mom.”
Miku: *scolding noises*
Bakugou: “Yeah, I know. I got into a fight with Midoriya.”
Miku: *taps Midoriya’s desk*
Bakugou: “Yes, him.”
Miku: *more scolding noises*
Bakugou: “I know, I’m sorry.”
Miku: *preens his hair a bit*
Bakugou: “Yeah. See you next weekend.”
And Miku just walks out. She goes back to the zoo/sanctuary.
The researchers and carers have been waiting for her.
Researchers: “Is Bakugou okay?”
Miku: *annoyed and exasperated noises*
Researchers: “Again? Well, welcome back.”
Other raptors: *greeting noise as she goes back in their roaming grounds*
Miku: *exasperated noise*
Other raptors: *the equivalent of groaning*
This is probably not what you meant, but if there are dinosaurs one of them is keeping Bakugou as a pet. Not the other way around.
