Valentine’s Day.

The day where you had to go to school, seeing that couple in your class exchanging mushy whispers and giggles behind you, only irked you to pay more attention to the monotonous voice of your Physics teacher as she droned on about thermal energy.

Unfortunately fortunately, your boyfriend, Jisung, was a few months younger than you, which meant he was in a completely different school and grade. It was a good thing, since people wouldn’t see you guys laughing together, which could sour his reputation pretty seriously, let alone his image. However, it slightly bothered you that you didn’t have your boyfriend by your side to keep you company, exchanging lame jokes and really bad pick-up lines. One more year, you thought, you could see your boyfriend everyday in the same school.

“Thinking about Jisung Park again?” your tablemate, Chenle, teased you.

“Try sitting in front of a couple on Valentine’s Day,” you scowled, earning a muffled giggle from Chenle.

“Aish, aren’t you one of them?” Chenle sighed as he received a slap on his shoulder.

“Are we, Chenle, are we?” you glared as he gulped.

“Nope, you’re not.” Chenle shook his head furiously, earning a nod of approval from you.

“Good.” you ruffled his hair as the school bell rang, signalling recess.

“Someone is love-sick again~” Donghyuck teased as he sat down on the seat in front of you, putting down his tray of food.

“No I’m not,” you defended as you tucked into the food in front of you.

“Says the one who threatened me to shut up,” Chenle huffed as he settled at his seat beside you, earning yet another glare from you.

“Why are you so sulky today?” Jeno asked with food in his mouth.

“Jisung isn’t here to be with her, that’s why.” Mark smirked as he tucked in to his food as well.

You rolled your eyes, being Jisung’s girlfriend meant an unwritten rule that allowed you guys to get teased, regardless of who. First, it was Yeri that slung her arms around your shoulder playfully, announcing that you and Jisung were the “Rookie” couple; since you guys trained as smrookies together. Secondly, it was Koeun that teased you about the jarring height difference you and Jisung had when you guys were together, you cursed at your genes for gifting you the tall height of 158 cm, while your partner stood like a tree, at almost 172 cm. To add salt into your wound, SM had to enroll you into SOPA, where Mark, Jeno, Jaemin, Donghyuck and Chenle were as well. Your fellow trainees were at a completely different school, which you had no one to lean on when you were teased by NCT Dream.

“Thanks Mark oppa, I really hope you can get into the preliminary round later,” you shot back.

“Thanks Y/N, I will do my best.” Mark mocked, earning laughs from his dongsaengs.

“I do hope your curly fries can turn into normal fries soon,” you retorted at Mark’s hair, earning gasps from the members, and an unreadable expression on defeat on Mark’s face, knowing that he had lost.

“Yah Y/F/N, really,” Mark tilted his head in disbelief as he laughed nervously, regaining his composure.

“You messed with the wrong Y/N today, hyung.” Chenle whispered as he stifled a laugh and began eating as well.

“then Chlorine will be added and replace the double carbon-carbon bonds...” your Chemistry teacher pointed as she drew the chemical structure of the Alkene that refused to register into your brain.

“3 more minutes...” you muttered under your breath as you counted down to the school’s release bell.

“and that is it for today students, your assignment is to complete the Alkane and Alkene worksheet I had assigned Chenle to give out to you. Please hand it up tomorrow. You are dismissed.” the teacher declared, as students started to pack up their bags, ready to leave.

As the school bell rung, you bolted out of the door, not hearing Chenle’s calls for you, forgetting your Chemistry worksheet. He shrugged, he could always ask Jisung to pass it to you at practice later.

You ran towards the unused side gate of the school, seeing your boyfriend waiting excitedly with hands behind his back. You jumped over the gate skillfully, with the look of awe on Jisung’s face that never fails to amuse you.

“I swear if you keep looking at me like that I will plummet to my death,” you joked as you dusted the back of your school skirt, earning a giggle from Jisung.

“You just look really pretty doing that noon-” Jisung paused mid-sentence, “jagi.”

“You are so weird,” you laughed as you planted a chaste peck on Jisung’s blushing cheeks.

“I..I...” Jisung stuttered.

“Hmm?”

“HappyValentine’sDayNoonaILoveYou” Jisung revealed a beautiful bouquet of flowers, blushing furiously.

“Oh my god, Jisung-ah!” You gasped, admiring the flowers, “You didn’t have to do this you know, thank you so much!”

Jisung beamed proudly, as he wrapped his arms around your shoulders, his warm breath hit your ears, causing you to flinch. You were ticklish, especially during the winter.

“Why~?” Jisung whined.

“I---I’m ticklish, Jisung-ah, sorry.” you apologised bashfully, causing him to smile again.

While walking to the SM practice building, Jisung kept his distance from you, you figured he didn’t want to get caught, but you thought again, he always never failed to initiate skinship whenever he could,but he didn’t, and even though you’re ticklish, he would tickle you incessantly.

“Are you ticklish?” you asked.

Jisung shaked his head, “no.” 

“Don’t lie to me.” 

You moved towards Jisung, as he slowly backed away.

You wriggled your fingers, mimicking a tickling action, Jisung’s eyes widened, he sprinted away from you.

“YAH PARK JISUNG!” you screamed as you chased after him, into the SM building, ready to tickle him.

As Jisung burst into the dance studio, he threw his school bag across the floor, running noticeably slower. You gently put down the bouquet of flowers, and your school bag, then sprinted to chase Jisung around the dance studio.

Jisung finally gave up, plopping himself on the laminated floor, “Noona! I’m sorry!”

“What are you sorry for? I just have to tickle you,” you panted as you started running your hands onto Jisung’s sides, making him squirm frivolously.

“I’m sorr-noona!” Jisung laughed as he gasped for air, holding your wrists down, preventing you from tickling him more.

“Are you really sorry?” You raised your eyebrows.

Jisung planted a chaste peck on your lips, taking you by surprise, “I love you, noona.”
