cr4nberrymuffins replied to your post: this just in from twitter: popufur thinks all kids...
brah itâs real obvs the comic was about ABUSE, why would he conflate that with discipline??? you can totally discipline kids w/out laying ur hands on them or being verbally abusive like cmon.
yeah like. the fact he saw those comics and somehow thought to type out âi disagree with thisâ is absolutely horrid

honestly I just wanna see an Ann redesign where her Mementos outfit is _actually_ a representation of her rebellion against being reduced to her body and her sexual appeal
for sure yeah... all the alternate ann designs iâve seen have just been slight alterations to her Panther outfit to make it less sexualized. interestingly, there was concept art for an outfit that still had the catwoman-expy theme but was more practical looking and had a cool visor. i thought i had a pic of it but all i have in my ann tag is this fanart of it.
itâd be interesting to see a phantom thief outfit (and maybe even persona) that had a totally different theme based on that concept... maybe i could brainstorm ideas for that design

actual good-faith question: on what do you base your view that lgbt fans who vehemently take issue with elements of content featuring lgbt themes are engaging in deliberate slandering campaigns instead of just being angry
No one is deliberately starting slander campaigns but peopleâs behavior and intentions spread.
Steven Universe, one of cartoonnetworks most ambitious, representative, and powerful shows has been the WORST contender for it.
And I hate to keep using SU to talk about it because things like Voltron, Dream Daddy, etc. also got hit with it but I always come back to SU because itâs a show for kids that has been ruined and is now just SCRAPPING to survive because of peopleâs extreme need to tear LGBT content apart.
Steven Universe has been GREAT for kids, Iâve seen kids talk about the characters, the relationships, the story, their emotions, EVERYTHING on a level that -- as a kid -- I NEVER got.Â
So itâs INFURIATING to me, when people feel the NEED to talk about the little problems, CONSTANTLY. Criticizing the art is one thing, 10k, to 20k+ note long posts about how Steven Universe is absolute shit because their QUEER TEAM + GROUP OF ARTISTS isnt consistent with their storyboard style is EXTREME, and itâs not just the LGBT community, of course it isnât, you have meatheads on youtube taking 800 hours just to rant about Steven Universe and how bad it is, how hard its trying, how shitty and annoying the characters are, when in 2013-2014, everyone was ALL OVER IT!Â
Then, now Iâm seeing people justify this behavior with how the LGBT representation wasnât âgood enoughâ, how one of the artists deserved to get run off by the fandom for her âqueer baitingâ or âart directionâ, how Lapidot was bad because it was normal or silly, I saw some people talking about how Ruby and Sapphires relationship was unhealthy, the MAIN consistent lesbian pair.
Why does LGBT/POC content have to be PERFECT to be GOOD. Other cartoons sit on cartoonnetwork or disney or nick just fine and donât get this much BACKLASH, and they all have pretty much the same formulas, protagonists and love interests, background characters and background romances.
Not once have I asked people to stop criticizing, Iâve asked people stop normalizing this widespread behavior of taking content and doing everything in their power to find EVERY SMALL THING wrong with it before they just ENJOY it.
I wouldnât say any of these show are perfect or free from peopleâs anger, nothing is.Â
But when ADULTS (everyone Iâve talked to has been between 18-20+ tonight??) decide they will do everything in their power to TEAR the opportunity of representation away from kids just because of some mistakes, some art discrepancies, or how the plot isnât going how they want or some shit, itâs DAMAGING. It ruins the chance for SUCCESSORS to follow, it ruins the chance for our public networks to sprout.
And it has nothing to do with being a coward, it has more to do with how the people up top will refuse to greenlight anything even similar or better than Steven Universe again, how writers will conform their writing and tip toe to avoid hitting anyone, how the SIGHT of a POC creator/character will immediately turn off stations/editors because people. canât handle it.Â
Its dangerous, itâs risky, and if its not just right it will fail.Â
That shouldnât be the case, I want more kids to be happy and sing songs and be accepting of themselves because thatâs the surface of what a cartoon is showing to them rather than the concepts grown folk have decided itâs okay to politicize and dictate for them.
Itâs a slandering campaign when thereâs visible damage and itâs widespread, people should be more privy to talk about the good things than the bad things if the bad things arenât overwhelming or glaring, thatâs all I ask. Please be as close to as easy on LGBT/POC content as you would be on an Avengers movie or fuckin Supernatural.

Mint Tea
Listening to music, usually, or sitting outside in the rain or the breeze. If neither feels good or is available in that moment, I just lie down in bed and focus on my breathing.
I also smoke to relax sometimes, but Iâm working on stopping.

so what's this about dragons
I think we talked about the dragon a while back. With extra-fine leopard-gecko scales?
Anyway: partly scaled as per above, partly feathered (fringey owl-type ones on the wings, silky barbless ratite-type ones along the spine). Ten limbs all-told (six legs and four wings); five eyes. Extremely flexible, elongated body with somewhere around four hundred vertebrae. Markings somewhere between a clouded leopard and a Hayabusa ball python; dominant colors are violet-black and ivory. And a sort of ionized flame breath weapon (I called it âheat lightningâ when I initially came up with the character).

Also, in the part of the introduction where you requested feedback, I'd prefer "has a mission" and "make sure" over "be sure", if that's more accurate. Although "has a mission" is more hollow, I think it would suit the formality-informality alternation of the introduction that you wanted to retain. In addition, I think "hollow" is a good word to describe OFF's tone in general, so a little hollowness would only serve to reinforce that.
Alright; Iâll change that, then.

Suvia is a psychic vampire who drains negative emotion from everyone around him for sustenance, leaving them either unnaturally happy and content or just emotionally empty. he briefly feels all of the emotions he drains before they become "digested", so his emotional state is generally some flavour of miserable
iâm loving this concept ! mez and kaz both are phantomlike beings that manifest from high-energy sources, like a noisy space or a personâs strong emotions. it works out perfectly for mez, but not so well for kaz. :(

and also to be less boring, Moist von Lipwig
Moist Von Lipwig: If you could do anything without consequences, what would it be? Why?
Iâd destroy the Olympic Park.
They promised us that the Olympics would regenerate the local area, but all it really did was bolt another bit on like a huge, shiny parasite thatâs slowly sucking all the life out of the neighbourhood. Nobody who actually lives here can afford to any more, local businesses canât survive next to Westfield, and the whole thing is a fucking disgraceful mess of broken promises.
While theyâre dealing with the fallout, maybe they can give us back the taxes we paid for Anish Kapoorâs stupid spiral thing.

Although I understand your decision to keep the puppet-puppeteer remnant from the original translation, I personally really would prefer if you translated more faithfully to the body-soul line. I'm invested in the 3.0. translation because I want to experience the text as closely to the original French as possible; I appreciate your choice of staying more true to Dedan's original character rather than making him swear a lot because fandom is used to that, and I'd appreciate it if you applied
[2] the same principle here as well instead of sticking with popular memes. But that's just me.
People seem really torn on this. I feel like, if I end up using the accurate translation, itâll be a last-minute decision.
As for Dedan - I feel like, perhaps, the approach I took in version 3.0 so far wasnât entirely accurate, either. I still need to figure him out.
