#fluffer nutters were THE SHIT when I was a kid

My family used to eat marshmallow fluff, but only in fluffer nutters (a sandwich with marshmallow fluff and peanutbutter in it)

I don’t think it’s indicative of anything meaningful, but it is sort of fascinating how frequently we assume certain experiences are culture/demographic-specific when there’s no reason it would be, you just naturally assumed your ethnicity was the only one saving grocery bags, that women don’t know what it’s like to imagine single handedly stopping an imaginary robbery while waiting in line, that northerners don’t know about dipping fries in a Wendy’s milkshake. Even when shown evidence to the contrary, you’ll see people dig their heels in further for what are mostly benign, simple, or non-issues, insisting no you’re wrong, my group must have taught you that, or no no we do a special way, nothing like your kind, it’s totally different, as if this is a stronghold and you lose ground if you accept that this is probably just a thing people do.

It’s rarely a big deal but I always find it funny how much people will resist the idea that we’re all more alike then we are different

All the different dynamics in the Mighty Nein

Fjord and Beau: Captain and 1st mate, buds. Previously “the try not to be an asshole” duo

Fjord, Jester, Caduceus and Yasha: god squad.

Fjord and Caleb: early on it’s like blood pact gang. Fire and water. Two powerful people who might both have ulterior motives. But now it’s just 2 pals who trust and protect each other.

Beau, Jester and Nott: Chaos crew!! Thievery, trickery!! Also Nott trying to set both of them up, but their loves kinda conflict.

Fjord and Nott: siblings who relentlessly tease each other, non-stop all the time. But they still love each other. Also the “I’ve drowned before” squad

Fjord and Jester: Coast Kids! Lots of trust and concern. Vaguely unrequited love.

Fjord and Caduceus: wildmother brothers, vaguely mentorish at the start

Nott, Caleb, and Beau: oh shit, I never really thought about it but these gods are kinda cool. Also empire kids

Fjord and Yasha: “both once worshipped an evil god and helped slightly aid in its escape” gang. Also friends now.

Beau and Caleb: Empire kids! the epitome of the sibling dynamic. “Don’t be hard on yourself or sad, that’s my job” or “shut up, you’re not evil” are all lines you hear many times.

Beau and Jester: oops shit I fell in love. Also “dad issues” gang. 2/3 of the chaos crew

The entire M9 and Caduecus: your words and methods confuse/concern me, but I’ll try and help you out” friends aka “wow you guys have problems”

Beau and Yasha: were in love but then shit got really complicated and they never talked it out.

Caleb and Nott: ride or die best friends, found each other when they were both real low and helped each other out. Not as close as before maybe, but only because they’ve helped each other make new friends. So they have other people to lean on besides each other.

Caleb and Jester: “you’re so bright in this gloomy world and it’s making it real hard for me not to fall in love with you” little gifts, sweet talks and longing looks.(is it clear what I ship?)

Caleb and Yasha: awkward and quiet solidarity friends, but add trauma that only each other can really relate to

Nott and Jester: best buds!!! Detectives! Fluffer Nutter!! Also please stop drinking.
