JanPepper week anyone?

Calling up Muppet fan artists, writers, and fans in general! Especially if you’re a shipper of the Electric Mayhem’s very own Floyd and Janice.

We’ve seen multiple other fandoms start a week of the year dedicated to ships from their favorite shows, movies, etc. and thought Floyd and Janice deserved to have one too! These two have multiple ship names, but the most common one we’ve seen lately is JanPepper, so we’re going with it!

More info will be posted soon, but the general idea of this is that there will be prompts for each day of the week that fans can post artwork, fanfiction, or just anything else that goes along with the prompts!

This will most likely be in September. We know that’s a little ways off, but we just wanted to see how many fans might be interested in participating. We’re looking for at least 5-6 fans for this but hopefully there will be more! We also are planning ahead of time so we can get the prompts posted early to give everyone plenty of time to get their posts ready.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to join! And note that it will not be required to have something to post for every day of the week. You can submit posts for one day, a few, or all! It’s completely up to you!

We’ll let this circulate a little and see how many people we can reach. Please reblog and share this with anyone who you think might be interested! And comment or message us if you’re interested or have any questions!

Since Muppets Mayhem came out I've seen people make cute fan art of Tina and Teeth making gumbo, or just talking about gumbo. But..Louisiana has more to offer then just Gumbo and Bennetts. For example my favorite Mardi Gras traditions

Also I have more headcanons of Teeth and Floyd being Louisianan. It's most revolved around Mardi Gras because besides that, Louisiana is a dog shit place to live.

☆ Floyd would devour Hush Puppies. Even though it's literally fried bread, he would eat that shit up.

☆ After their done eating crawfish, Floyd would take the dead body and play with it as a way to scare Dr. Teeth. Dr. Teeth would get grossed out and not want to eat crawfish anymore.

☆ Now because they live in New Orleans. Tina would not have let Dr. Teeth go to Mardi Gras. Which I completely understand because New Orleans Mardi Gras is crazy, but Floyd would help Teeth sneak out so that they could enjoy the parade.

☆ Wearing all the beads he caught for the parade is what made Dr. Teeth embrace wearing a bunch of jewelry.

☆ Floyd and Teeth would go down into the sewage drains and just hang out in there. Floyd would definitely mess around with some of the kids who were playing in the sewage drains close to them, by tryjng to scare them. (I promise you this is normal during Mardi Gras. You get board wating for the parade to start and just start playing in the sewers.)

☆ Teeth is definitely competitive whenever it comes to catching stuff from the parade floats. So much so that there have been many instances where he almost caused a fight.

☆ Whenever Animal was little, Floyd would always put him on his shoulders. (Don't get on anyone's shoulders if you're over the age of 5, because you're just ruining the parade for everyone behind you >:( )

☆ Even though they moved away from Louisiana, they always make the trip to visit it during Mardi Gras season. Of course the rest of the Electric Mayhem tag along. Animal is definitely that annoying person who tries to chase the floats. Janice is always just excited to try the food, jambalaya is her favorite btw. Lips is definitely the guy to drink to much Moonshine during the parade and just starts talking to random people he's never met before. Some how Zoot always finds a way to sleep during the parade 🤨.

Wanna know one of my hc for Johnny Fiama that is also kinda crack ship ?

I thought about that months ago lol I think it came up because at that time Johnny and Lips were my beloveds and it would be fun to show that at some point they tried to have something but it was so catastrophic that they didn’t go past the two dates.

Around 2005 Johnny wanted to formally come out to the media as Bi. So walking around some bars he met Lips, playing solo on stage, y´ know, because in those years he was apart from the band. Johnny asked him for a duet, bought him drinks and offered to accompany him to his apartment, holding hands.

And seem idyllic… but it was only in theory! Despite having many things in common, Johnny and Lips didn’t have any chemistry. Mainly because Johnny was more focused on attracting some paparazzi than on his date. And on Lips' part because he agree to accompany the man because, deep inside, his calm voice and bearing of Frank Sinatra slightly reminded him of Zoot, finding that in fact, they are nothing alike.

To Johnny’s fortune, a paparazzi saw them just as they left the bar, making sure to squeeze Lips' hand, a little too hard and smile at the camera. Now, Lips doesn't mind being seen holding hands with Johnny Fiama, let alone with a man, but someone putting a camera with a flash straight in his face, naturally.

Well, if the date was so terrible, why did they go out again? Easy, once Johnny got the exclusive he wanted, he went back to being the flirty man we know, so Lips decided to give them another chance.

Somehow the second date was worse! They met in Johnny’s apartment and every topic they decided to talk about just made their differences more obvious for the worse, making everything uncomfortable. Stuff like:

They said goodbye that day, with the silent promise of never seeing each other again. Although I find it funny to think that Johnny actually refers to Lips as his ex, even though they only had two dates. Because Lips is a beauty and it’s always cool to have such an attractive ex.

But they met again 16 years later, during the filming of The Muppets Haunted Mansion.

Both were surprised to see the other on the set, as they never actually knew that the two were part of The Muppets; Lips, because during the time he was away from the band he decided not to know anything about The Muppets and Johnny…simply because he is distracted.

So Johnny decided to say hi to Lips, friendly:

But hey, some things changed at Lips… he came back with the band!

And yes, The Electric Mayhem and Johnny Fiama already knew each other, they worked together on several Muppet projects. Even so, Johnny never knew that Lips was part of the band.

During the breaks both talked a lot about many things, so Johnny found out that Lips already had a relationship with someone in the band, getting a ¨yes¨ to each member when he ask who it was. Their conversation flowed great this time, even Johnny was somewhat disappointed that Lips already had a relationship (or so he thought, he didn’t quite understand).

But Lips and the band invited him to hang out with them, even after the recording. Lips and Johnny agreed to call themselves ex´s to the media, only to generate gossip.

...And Sal? Hahahaha WELL! Sal was there all the time and always knew Johnny’s intentions. Sal looked after him in the distance always, he wasn’t going to let Johnny walk alone at night on unknown streets! also Johnny and Sal live together, he could hear through the walls that awkward date. Although he is the first to mock the fleeting infatuation of his best friend, he accompany him during the duel, even buy him ice cream.

And that is all! I thought about this months ago and the memory came to me because someone asked about hc of Johnny, a post that I plan to do later, but I wanted to expand on this silly point separately. Thanks if you read so far, you just read a long crackship fanfiction xd

Another Theory time! This Time the Sax man Zoot - Now this is just my head-cannon(s) and I wanna hear yall's

Anyways back to it, Have yall ever thought of Zoot may having schizophrenia? Like there are many examples of Zoot just being out of it and seeing/remembering something different from what happened. 🤔 I was also thinking maybe some type of amnesia.

There's no way he was tripping. Many just theorize that the mayhem is just always high or on something, but that can't always he the case. And that thought that Zoot is always labeled as a burnt out musician I wouldn't be shocked if that lead to alot of mental health issues

An another example is one of the Eps of the Muppets ABC show when Kermit was coming into the studio & saw Zoot there on the couch their convo --->

Kermit: Zoot? Did you sleep in the studio?

Zoot: * wakes up * Oh hey, the door said " fire door " didn't want to risk it

My take on the few moments of Floyd and Janice that we saw on The Muppets Mayhem

Just my thoughts cuz I have it floating around in my head. Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched the series

- He’s quite protective of her. But not overly so. (When he cried “Oh, Baby, you came back to me!” I sort of squealed)

- Both seem pretty chill about any previous relationships they have had. (Ziggy Marley, whoever Betty is etc)

- Janice’s storyline involves starting to prioritise and love herself first. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t love and care for Floyd. But sometimes, it lowkey feels like he doesn’t fully grasp that yet. Especially in Ep 7 when he gets irritated that she wasn’t thinking of him when they wrote that song (side note: you can ABSOLUTELY write a love song about yourself).

- Floyd regards Janice as his true love (Notice how he says that he’s writing his own love song about his other true love. Which happens to be soup).

- This is all in words and not shown but, that little conversation where Janice talked about how she swooped in and stole Floyd’s heart from Betty is quite telling of their relationship (and likely how it started but hey I could be wrong).

- It probably didn’t feel that great for Floyd when Betty couldn’t decide between him and the other guy (it would suck to feel like you’re second choice for someone). So it’s understandable that he couldn’t stick around and wait for her to make up her mind.

- Janice on the other hand, sounded like she knew what she wanted when she chose Floyd. Like she was sure wanted to be with him. And in the end, Floyd chose the person who also chose him fer sure.

- At the end of the day, even after that whole spiteful song thing (which honestly made me feel mildly uncomfortable), I think they still do love each other very much.

I do wish they had more moments on the show but all in all, Muppets Mayhem was GREAT. I have my fingers crossed for more podcasts/vodcasts talking about the series and maybe even a Season 2 :D
