Gate posts are good, so is hanging the handle of the colander over one of the pickets on the fence. Planted especially for the bees, we don’t usually prune the manuka unless we absolutely have to when the branches are looking leggy and weighed down laden with buds. • This basket full is going into a vase for the kitchen table in the garden cottage. • Leptospermum scoparium, commonly called mãnuka, manuka manuka myrtle, New Zealand tea tree, broom tea-tree, or just tea tree.
