My time in #staugustine was brief and I didn’t really go into my trip with any pre-planned destinations or attractions. One thing that I’ve changed about my travel is just “shooting-from-the-hip”. I normally tend to plan and schedule and put so many things on my list of things to do because I feel like I need to make the most of my visit and see everything. That isn’t sustainable sometimes and it also doesn’t allow me to truly dive deep into the more interesting things within my trip. Also with the current state of the world, I never know what places will be open or have closed for good. I was just walking towards the downtown area of St. Augustine and came across this house along with a waking tour of over 30 sites intergral in the history of African- Americans. I obviously didn’t have enough time to do the whole audio tour but I will definitely do it the next time I’m there because there were a lot of interesting facts about the Civil Rights movement and other key moments in history. It’s called the ACCORD Freedom Trail if you want to do it if you’re even in the area. ACCORD is short for Anniversary to Commerate the Civil Rights Demonstrations. If you love walking tours, there is also another tour on the GeoTourist app that should be able to keep you busy.
