Alright I was asked to talk about my OCS :3

Anyways this is the little bastard I’ve been writing for 2 years? He started as a WW1 era character actually but I decided I wanted to make a fantasy character again so here he is. The fantasy world he lives in is most similar to 50’s America with tech, but the fashion is more modern. Though I dress him like a traditional fantasy character. He’s supposed to be a sort of wood elf but I don’t have a name for the fantasy races yet (I need to worldbuild). He looks serious af here but do not let that fool you he is a silly little man most the time. Whenever he’s doing mage duties he tries to be serious. He’s a mage for hire, so if someone has a problem (usually magical) he gets paid to take care of it. The ribbon he wears is kinda like a uniform. Other mages for hire don’t really wear them anymore but he does when he’s on quests so he can look professional.

Also was raised by fae for most of his childhood, and I’m probably gonna write about that in a wholesome little prequel comic. He first starts using magic at 9 or so but it’s super weak, once he’s a teenager to cast better spells.

He left at 17 or 18 so he could become a certified mage and see the world. Before the main story starts he looses his eye but I haven’t decided where or when. It always happens in every draft, the idea stuck with me I guess. I guess the “magical character that doesn’t rely on their vision” trope spoke to me. Uhh what else

he has a bunch of familiars, but the main one that follows him around most the time is his crow named Basil, who’s the son of the crow he befriended as a child. His main magic is nature/Druid? Magic, basically he’s like Bulbasaur. Also talks to animals, and can summon his familiars. He can also shapeshift into animals but only a select few (right now he can only shapeshift into a kestrel, rat, wolf).

I made him into a glass cannon pretty much. Worlds most eepy magic guy. I didn’t want to make him super powerful because I found magic characters like that kinda boring. But it’s also fun to give characters cool powers 👀.

Though he is trying to learn a spell from each type of mage magic. Jack of all trades stuff.

Also his staff is kinda inspired by Sakura’s staff in Cardcaptor Sakura, idk something about wing motiffs…

He’s trans also! I kinda based that aspect on me haha… he was a pretty tomboyish child so when he realized he was trans he was like “oh I see now” and his family was like alright :D. Perks of being raised in the woods by fae, gender roles are kinda non existent ig. He named himself after a character from his favorite childhood book. Also gay aspec (me when I project).

Other stuff! He’s a pretty good dancer and likes fashion which are traits I took from when he was a historical OC.

Basically uhh I just wanted to write a little goober who went through a lot of shit but still looks at life positively and wants to help people. A friend. A little goober even.

I’ll try to get a good drawing of his boyfriend Oswald who is a bard and also a silly goober. Also hopefully Isaac’s familiars and his family members.

when yuuna was my only yuu oc, i used to ship them with riddle (unrequited -> platonic) and leona (platonic)

and jamil (romantic) but shhhh that's some old and forbidden lore (lowkey i was insane for all that)

although i'm kinda thinking about bringing back that unrequited-crush-from-riddle plotline ---

i'm so mean to riddle aaagh bc i thought it’d be interesting if i had riddle have an unrequited crush on yuuna :,D

bc i like the idea of riddle being like "hey i insulted you and was Not A Good Person and Almost Killed You, but for some reason you're still willing to be kind to me and be friends with me" to yuuna

cue attempts at "courting" yuuna -- with riddle reading books, looking up stuff, asking for advice, etc.

he invites yuuna on a "date" without it being explicitly stated that it's a date; yuuna just thinks they're hanging out

come the confession and yuuna is just like "oh :D?" "i'm sorry i only see you as a friend"

but it’s okay they both get over it and they see each other as genuine friends now :]

Moodboards for @camhues

So, I've been getting a bit bored with my life lately and decided I needed to do something to get busy. My art skills are killing me and I'm trying to practice but I gave up for a while. Then I'm scrolling through Tumblr and admiring everyone's amazing OC's and I wish I could draw like them and some of them are underrated more than should be so...Why not just celebrate them ?! I can't for my own life draw anything good but what I can do is find good aesthetic choices and I love making moodboards and such for characters. So that's what I'm doing for OC's of people who need more attention ! Today we are starting with the beautiful and talented @camhues. If you don't know them, she is a artist of Tumblr mostly known for her LMK OC's and does a lot of doodles with them. And she makes only women and OH MY GOD, THESE ARE THE MOST GORGEOUS WOMEN IN MY LIFE AHH- Enough, I need to get on. She has a lot and I did one for all of them ! (Sheesh-) Or at least the ones I know. So Here's the Moodboards for them and a quick summary of what I think of them.

First off, Mama Jun. Her main OC from what I know and sort of a mother figure to MK and a reincarnation like Pigsy and Tang. Um, she's so gorgeous. I want that braid and the simplistic design works in her favor because there is something so simple and charming about her when I look at her. Also, her Mama-Son bond with MK is adorable-

Then there is Daiyu who from what I know is a Plant-Controller Demoness...or something ? Oh, and she's shipped with Red Son and their name is RedJade. Not as simplistic as Jun but it works in her favor here because she could step on me and I wouldn't be offended. Just let me smell the roses you grow, Daiyu !

Next here is Ling who is a Jade Maiden and is probably one of my current favorites. One of the simpler designs which I love and the lore behind her is also something I wanna find out. Her aesthetic was something I struggled with but it worked out. And as for who she is dating, it is unclear as Cam said she could be with one of three characters. Azure, Wukong or Macaque- I think she and Azure would be really cute-

Here we have Miss Suyin, secretary to the Spider Queen and Resident Mommy according to those who repost her- That's why I added that 'Mommy, sorry-' picture, I couldn't skip the joke. This woman is one of the many reasons I like women with glasses and she's a spider and her 4 eyes look cool-

Another one of my favorites, Baozhu. A Monkey Painter who is someone who I really wanna exist in real life so I can touch her fur and hair because it looks so fluffy ! I mean, look at this girlie ! She's FLOOFY ! I wanna touch the floof ! <333

And now we have domineering Lady in Ao Jiang who from that name I believe is somehow related to Ao Lie ? And is part of Mei's family ? I don't know that much yet but yeah, I love this one. Also, the little jewels hanging from her horns ? *Chef's kiss*

Space Lady Polaris who is giving me stars in my eyes for how cute she looks alone. She looks like someone who would be waiting in my dreams so I could just talk to her. I don't wanna burden her with my troubles though-

Brave Knight of the Falling Stars Asterius who I think might be related to Polaris in some way. They are both Space related in a way. I wonder if there is a connection ? But I love how she looks. She seems like a tomboy and I love tomboy characters :)

Lychee, Oh Lychee, how I tried to do justice for you ! But your aesthetic was something I couldn't nail down much. But at least I added real Lychee's for your sake and put some baking and wrestling into it. Please don't hit me...Or you can. You're gorgeous as you are friking intimidating. For a wrestler and a baker anyway.

Meihua who is honestly one of the most wholesome characters I have seen in a while. She gives me hopeless romantic vibes which I tried to add in here. The flowers for his florist work as well and mainly pink for this one because it matches her hair. Younger me would've loved her while current me thinks she's a lovable character who needs protection.

This woman, however, doesn't need protection as she can use her heels to murder her way through the crowd. Xin Yan, everyone. An evil woman who is gorgeous and she knows it. I heard she was a dancer and singer and the owner of a nightclub so that inspired this a lot. Xin Yan looks like she could kill me with a stare...and I would thank her for it.

Zhenzhu who I don't know much about but damn I really wanna give her a hug because she looks so sad in this picture. She's a handmaiden from what I know for the Empress of Heaven. HOW IS SHE A HANDMAIDEN WITH THE LOOKS OF A GODDESS ??

Chenguang is the ancestor of Jun who once went on the Journey to the West disguised as a man. Her aesthetic was hard to nail down but I eventually went for one that has themes of independence, journeys and outdoor backgrounds.

Ehuang who I thought was another version of Wyldfyre from Ninjago: Dragons Rising. If I didn't know she couldn't control fire, I would've thought fire would be her entire thing. That's why I added boiling water. Along with potions and lots of red.

And last of the OC'S, Chyou ! Who I really don't know much about except for the fact she is an Egret Celestial. So she's graceful as the bird itself and as beautiful as it as well. She is really lovely and the flowers in her hair are a nice touch <3 And that's all the OC's belonging to @camhues ! Or at least the ones I know. If I missed anything, I apologize and I'll make one for them on another day. But for now, have this. These were so much fun to make ! :)

Personality: Quiet, silly, less talkative, more energetic, attractive, magically purrfect, less aggressive, positive and social friendly, also shy when meeting new people

Feature trait: Meow - squeak like a kitten meow from the newborn age (in my own description)

Likes: Cuddles, snuggles, kisses, being a shoulder pet, giving a lot of snacks, kneads, playful bites and scratch, being a lap cat, brushing his teeth (with my help of course), being limp in someone's arm while being carried (such a real ragdoll cat ☺️), likes to play with his toys, cuddle with plushies, giving grooms with his tongue.

Dislikes: Meow a lot (get embarrassed by his voice while meowing), separation anxiety, too much stress, having anger issues, seeing someone sad or in a bad mood or in a stressful day, arguments (he'll yowl when he doesn't like hearing some terrible arguments due to yelling or cussing).

Description:

Walter the orange cat really loves to be a cute floofy wizard of all cats, even everyone wishing that they could have a pet cat, like Walter himself. Despite looking at his hazel big pupils, always making like cool magics of all. Especially when he always doesn't meow a whole lot, which he likes to be quiet, which makes him comfortable. Not only that, he can sit in the position, then he can look like a real life 3D Dorito chip from Doritos. Which made everyone desperately want to cuddle the cutie patootie so much and give all the kisses and cuddles, like a stuffed plushie. Moreover, Walter is a very young adult cat in the words. Especially the fact that he is the most powerful wizard in the whole universe, but also the cutest.

Hint: Whenever you say to Walter, like "If i say your wizard name, can i get a kiss?", or cuddle or whatever. You say "Walthazarbobalthazarfeefiefofalthazar IV" and he'll do it as you asked for it. And he gives it to you as a response.

I would probably have to go with Christian Vega from Bibliophilia (I'm currently making an intro page for it!)

Christian is a floofy little guy (maybe not that little, he's nineteen), the teen librarian at the Serendipity library and cafe he runs with his friends. He has fluffy dyed blonde hair (reminiscent of a K-Pop idol almost) and these huge round glasses. His giggle is adorable and he blushes often. He loves sweet honey tea, and would be so charmed to have tea with anyone and make pleasant conversation. If I had any stress or worries, it's guaranteed I'd feel better after a talk with this kind young man. He definitely wears his heart on his sleeve and will try his best to understand my predicament.

I can just picture having a warm cup of tea at sunset by his side, the two of us giggling softly into the night and staying up for hours making idle chatter.

The Realm Walker Rito Cheat Sheet

Here's some details on all the Rito characters in my LoZ fanfic, The Realm Walker. First a screenshot of the table I use to keep track of names I've already used.

So yeah that's a lotta Rito! You may noticed the one name not in one of the neat columns. Gizli is genderfluid, any pronouns (though prefers they/them).

Now before I go any further, I'm going to link to some older posts of mine. This one about Rito Tribes. And this second one expanding on the first one with new information from TotK. You may be wondering what I'm talking about with "Rito Tribes", put simply the Rito are a collection of closely related species. For example most of the Rito NPC's in BotW/TotK fall under the Orni Tribe, while Kass belongs to the Arini Tribe, and Teba the Accipi Tribe.

Now for the next part, Family Trees! You may notice that one "canon adjacent" name in green... Well...

LoZ: The Wind Waker! Komali's father the Rito Chieftain is never named, so I gave him a name! The Tale of the Realm Walker takes place 20 years after WW, so by this time Komali is Chieftain and has married Medli and they have two kids.

Now I'm retconing the WW Rito into full birbs, BUT keeping the "arms transforming into wings" aspect. So for funzies Komali is an owl-like Rito (like Kaneli, the Bubo Tribe), while Medli is Orni Tribe. They're kids are both owl like (with their son Nass inheriting his mother's white plumage so he looks like a little snowy owl).

Rinal here is the main Rito character of TTotRW, he's a member of the Cristatta (Cris-tat-ta) Tribe, which is Revali's Tribe. (Which coincidentally make's Quill's hairdo into a floofy crest.)

Tasin and Salli are two more TTotRW OC's. Tasin is the Healer and is Accipi Tribe, while Salli is the Loresinger and is Arini Tribe (mostly based on a scarlet macaw). Now because Accipi traits (eagle/hawk beak) are passed down by the man's line while Arini traits (parrot face) are passed down by the woman's line, their kids randomly look like either parent. (For example Kuli looks like his father, but does have an Arini like crest, while Kalini takes after her mother.)

[I will point out that Kass' daughters will eventually have larger than usual chests, as they've inherited stronger flight muscles from him, even though they'll otherwise look like their mother. Arini Rito constantly flap their wings in flight, that's why his chest is so big by the way.]

Mirna was the 1st Rito Champion/Original Pilot of Vah Medoh, she was an Accipi Rito based on a Harpy Eagle. She was 7ft tall (taller than Teba BTW) and wielded a 6ft long, single edged battleaxe. Her husband Tulini was at least a foot shorter than her and an engineer who worked on Vah Medoh. Her sister was a healer. Their son Kalin became a Warrior (like his mother) and their daughter became a healer like her aunt. (We'll get to Yuli in a minute.)

Revali's family, his mother Miida was Loresinger and his father Rivel was a Warrior. Revali gets his darker plumage from his mother as well as the red spots on his face. (He had lighter spots as a fledgling, then lost them as a juvenile, the gained red ones as an adult. He's 20 by the time he becomes Champion, Link is 18.) Rivel's plumage color is close to Kass'.

Yuli is Accipi Tribe, based on an ornate hawk-eagle, his wife Mai (Falco Tribe) is based on both color morphs of the red-necked falcon. Now we have to talk a bit about Rito reproduction... Rito females are fertile during set periods throughout the year (varies with individual, no mating season or heat/estrus cycles) and during this time if they mate they'll lay an egg. For a limited window after laying an egg they will still be fertile and if they mate again, they'll lay another egg (after a day or so). [This idea comes from the Wikipedia page on Barn Owls, I read it and had a revelation on Kass' family...]

So in this case, Yuli and Mai had two kids in their first brood and the remaining broods were all one egg each. And you can tell that Yuli is descended from Mirna because of his brown eyes (very, very rare for Rito).

Revali's family and Yuli's family will be brought up in future stories.

Oh boy, here's the big one. [UB = Unnamed Brother, US = Unnamed Sister, and UE = Unhatched Egg] Kass' father Kazli is even more blue and gold macaw than he is (and by that I mean that he's got a green patch on his forehead.) Valini is a darker shade of blue (back) while her underside is a lighter shade of blue, the white around her eyes is slightly yellow, and she's got some green on the tips of her wings. Kalia also has the green forehead patch BTW.

Little fun fact about the Arini Tribe, they've got this custom where they mark their faces with circles and lines. The circles represent one's career (Kazli and Kalia have bright red circles cause they're warriors, Valini's circle is green cause she makes pottery). The lines are alternating black and white and represent: one's self, one's spouse, and their children listed by age. So looking at this, you can imagine that Kazli and Valini's lines are about the circle completely around their eyes. (That's right I said it, Kass' markings are facepaint.) [They're not gonna add lines until the eggs hatch BTW.]

So Kalia is eldest child cause she hatched first (by a couple minutes). Also Kass and Kalia are rare examples of Rito "twins" when a woman lays two eggs at a time instead of just one. It's tradition in Kass' hometown of Takandi Village that the eldest children follow in their parent's wingbeats. However he had no interest in becoming a warrior and Kalia had no desire to make pottery. (Their parents were fine with it, other villagers not so much. But they wouldn't dare say anything in front of Kazli...)

I lumped Kass' daughters together cause A) I was out of room, and B) they were all in the same brood. (I shan't explain the implications, but I will say that Cree and Kheel were "twins".)

Virli is Kalia's consort, like Kalia she's a warrior (although she's an archer while Kalia is a spearfighter like her father). She's a member of the Cristatta Tribe, but as a woman of the Tribe she lacks Revali's cheek tuffs and her crest is half as short (she also doesn't have the side loop braids, or any side braids). Her plumage is red-orange, and she typically braids her pluma ("hair") into a single braid that branches into four at the end like a fancy birb's tail feathers, earning her the pet name "my little phoenix" from Kalia. She's also very fond of butterflies and Great Valoo help you if you try to use one in an elixir! (She's part of a Rito religious group known as the Viskin, who basically worship dragons.)

[Kalia's parents don't know she's with Virli yet, it's a source of tension between the two of them. It doesn't help that they're also in a long distance relationship.]

So Rinili was just a little puffball when Harli found him stuffed in a barrel at an abandoned Rito lumber camp, his parent's bodies ripped apart by beasts... She and her wife Milini adopted him. He calls Harli "Ma" and Milini "Mum". Harli used to be First Warrior of Kariki Village, until an injury left her unable to fight. (She took an arrow in the wing, it got infected and now she can't fire a bow or wield a blade properly. She wears a leather brace on her right wing.)

Taslin is one of the couriers for Kariki Village, and he's the biological father of Harli and Milini's daughters. (Yes Rinili views them as his sisters...)

Aside from Rinili's biological parents and Rinili himself, they're all Orni Tribe. Rinili's plumage is mostly midnight blue, finger/wingtips are powder blue, white, then midnight blue. His legs and belly are also powder blue with several white bands on his legs (like Saki). Also like Saki, he has a bright yellow patch on his breast. Below his ribs and wrapping around to his back is a zigzagged silvery-gray line pointing down at the front and back and up at the sides. There's also silvery-gray arrow head shaped mottling on his back.

He has a pluma like Harth's comb over but braided (green ribbons, yellow beads) and lacking the part on the back of his head. He's got a crest like peafowl. The braids on the side of his head have red beads with grey crescent moon ornaments at the tip. His armor more or less looks like the Rito Captains in HWAoC. But his most distinguishing feature are the four long, thin ornamental tail feathers with wide tips, complete with eye spots. (Tail feathers are based loosely on the marvelous spatuletail, they curve up so they don't drag the ground and it takes a lot of concentration to keep them from flailing all over the place.)

He's a warrior, specifically Ryski (Rye-ski) Brigade [might rename that second bit], which is more or less a Rito Special Ops type deal. The term is poorly translated into "scout" in Hylian, but scouting is only part of what they do. They're primarily stealth fighters, which is why there are a lot of Bubo Rito in the Ryski ranks. [This is where I point out that Kalia is the reverse, a Karikos (Ka-re-kos) often poorly translated to "footsoldier" it's more like a knight really, or maybe comparable to mounted cavalry given the Rito's mobility? (but without the mounts?). There's a lot of poor translation of Rito words going on BTW.] Oh and he also has green eyes, but not the same shade as Revali's or Harth's (I compare them to emeralds and so Rinili would be jade green.)

Gonna talk about my Eladrin/Harengon OC (context here — that's the latest, but I'm hopefully gonna keep adding more, so check the reblogs). No name yet, so let's call it Harendrin...

Eladrin and harengon are two races in the feywild. Harengon are rabbit folk, whose morality, etc. are influenced by the people they're with. Eladrin are elves who embody a season — in mood, appearance, and abilities — which they can change anywhere from never, to once a day.

Functionally:

We'll use eladrin as the base race. Harendrin is very influencable, from their harengon side, so I'm going to remove the eladrin's resistance to being charmed (advantage on saves).

Each long rest, they can choose to either trance 4 hours in semi-consciousness, or sleep deeply for 8 hours. If they trance, they can draw on the memories of their elven ancestors to gain 2 proficiencies in weapons and/or tools, until their next long rest. If they sleep, they're more physically rested and energetic, and have lucky footwork (can spend their reaction to add 1d4 to a failed DEX save) until their next long rest.

I like the idea of them getting an enchanted weapon that's worthwhile when proficient, so it's a meaningful choice each day, between offensive or defensive (and occasionally a need to use something like artificer's tools?).

Sleep immunity could also be based on whether they last tranced or slept.

Appearance:

Rabbit (fur, tail, toes, short ears on top of a rabbity head), but elven proportions (long legs, shorter feet, etc.). Flat chested (although it's a bit floofy), and androgynous voice.

They still visually reflect their season. Greenish fur with moss, especially on their back, and sparse little flowers for spring. Auburn fur, and looking like they've rolled in a leaf pile, with little red and orange leaves sticking out for autumn.

Personal:

Mostly uses a pronoun in Sylvan commonly used for animate plants, immaterial, and ephemeral beings that gender doesn't apply to. In Common, this is closest to it/its, but it also uses they/them, and when the mood strikes them, might encourage gendered pronouns.

They have two moms, the sex-changing girdle of gender was involved. They probably have the girdle now, but don't have a lot of secondary sex characteristics/sexual dimorphism, so any use and changes are only apparent to someone intimately close.

They start as mostly cheerful Spring — but depending how aggressive or altruistically helpful the party is, may end up more Summer or Autumn. If the adventure is looking grim, and everyone's mood is down, they may become Winter.

And then we have Kirk (left side who's a fennic fox and my Second version of my irl self AND who was also in the dare video with Tubbo) and Boxy (right side. My first irl self. I was inspired by Crumb and her box so I made Boxy the CatBox... You don't know them bec I never introduced them to you). Boxy can't take off their box for some reason but they can lift it up so they can speak clearly... everything that Boxy says is sorta muffled.

Kirk can only talk with the paper on his head... but sometimes... you can hear him speak without the paper... it's just super quiet... but that paper says whatever's (that's not a word... IT IS NOW :'D) on his mind... he doesn't hesitate to hurt people's feelings with his thoughts...
