the trouble with making up a fictional band and asking people to believe they had the genius and impact of fleetwood mac is that when you then put out music for that band that does not have the genius or impact of fleetwood mac well. it becomes a rather big ask i fear

#yes i decided to give the daisy jones six soundtrack a listen. no im not buying that this could be a fictional universes’ fleetwood mac #and i am not even a massive fleetwood mac fan.#can’t comment on the book i haven’t n won’t read it and to be fair it’s obviously easier to write about how good this fictional song is #because well people can’t hear it can they. but like I have not even read the book and I can tell the idea is that they are essentially #fleetwood mac innit. and well when you then release actual songs that people can actually listen to and are tasked with reproducing #fleetwood mac. it’s not easy girl i understand but i feel like we should’ve seen this coming #if I’ve completely misunderstood the space the band are meant to occupy in this fictional music scene then forgive me n my mistake but we’ll #I don’t think I am. like I’m looking at it and uh. well that’s stevie nicks isn’t it babe
