🎁 There's a gift here for Angel! it's a bowl full of bacon treats and a squeaky toy in the shape of a hamburger.

Send in 🎁 + an item to give my muse a Christmas present!

She could hardly believe her eyes: and yet, her nose was telling the same story too. Angel knew about Christmas of course, for this wasn't the first one she'd experienced from the streets... but while she loved to use it as an excuse to people-watch, to catch glimpses through lighted windows of the comfy homes and loving families that she longed to be part of, she would never dare to expect that any of the gifts from the festivities would be for her. At least not until the unwanted ones that turned up in the garbage a week later.

But this...!

She glanced around, silvery gaze seeking the giver and not seeing anyone. Who would possibly leave something like this... for her?

For the moment, however, that question could wait. Out here, there was one law when it came to food: and that was that if you weren't quick eating it, someone else would do so instead. Setting aside the mystery of who'd given her these...

Muzzle plunged into the bowl of treats, chomping hungrily. Even for as fast as she was eating them, Angel was savouring every moment... food like this didn't come around just every day, and every rapid bite was enjoyed.

The bowl was half empty by the time she paused, crumbs specking her lips that were quickly licked up too. Even knowing the rules out here... she wanted to save the rest for later; but it felt wonderful to have a full stomach for a change. She knew a good place to stash the rest where no-one else would find them, and she could return to in her own time.

And as for the other part of the gift...

She hadn't had toys of her own since she'd last been in a family; but she certainly knew what they were and how to appreciate them. Biting down on the burger, which let out a sharp squeak, Angel carefully gathered up the bowl in the grip of her jaws too and, tail wagging happily behind her, trotted off to find somewhere safe to stash her new treasures.

🎁 Woah! A present for Finn as well. It's not much — just a pack of various snacks including freeze-dried ice cream sandwiches, but hey, it's tasty! The note only depicts a santa hat.

After digging through the goodies, he studies the mysterious note curiously. "What is that? A wizard hat? Is this from Snack Wizard?" 🦋

Well this was unexpected, but the smile on the boy's face said everything. He was delighted by the sight of the new tools (he really had been needing some) and even gave the little stuffed platypus a tight hug. It was adorable, and he was sure that Perry would love it just as much as he did. And he just knew that, together, he and Ferb would be putting this gift to good use.

Another year of inventing and big ideas was just around the corner.

"This really is shaping up to be the best holiday ever. Thanks, Santa."

🎁 Pepa gets a gift! It's a beautiful music box. Sure, the tune is pretty generic, but the outside is decorated with rainbows and stormy rain clouds. No tag to say who it's from — just a red hoof print left on a notepad.

Pepa looked around before she took the gift, finally opening it. Though surprised yet curious to see who it's from because there's nothing written on it, she smiled in appreciation, "Wow, This is beautiful. Thank you, mystery animal." The hoof says it all, but who knows?

hgjfj i was afraid of that aha lies down i know this is something i’m probably going to have to get used to doing as i get older but oh man am i bad at it. he seems nice enough, tbh, so i’d say i feel safe setting a firm boundary thinking emoji i’m just not used to doing it

He first thinks that’s quite a silly question to ask one so clearly advanced into the journey of his life— most he imagines would likely assume he’d already accomplished it by now or had at least passed on the hopeful torch to a loved one.

Yet, even with the latter in mind, Natori finds he’s somewhat at a loss for a satisfactory answer. He’s quite content with his life, isn’t he? Why, then, can he not identify an overarching goal he has managed to achieve in the long years of his life..? If not that, then something he might hope to leave those around him with? Some legacy to be carried by the generation after him?

So, tone contrite, gentle, knowing his response will be disappointing at best and damning, pitiable, at worst, he says, “I’m— I’m afraid there isn’t one— not that I can think of so swiftly on a dime, ha. Perhaps, ah, perhaps if I had more time to think.”

Somewhere, he’s certain that will not help.
