Apr 3: The Dormitory Fight

Some of the simple straw pallets used as beds have been disturbed by a recent scuffle. Two cultists (a human and a half-orc) are glaring at each other over the head of Yurig Flathammer, the cult’s second-in-command, who’s separating (and yelling at) them. Both cultists are mildly bloodied. The half-orc had been questioning the cult’s leader’s recent choices, and it came to blows. Once Yurig gets a full account of the situation, he’ll send the half-orc to the cells in [AREA].

There are a few trinkets among the pallets, but no other personal belongings. The shelves hold devotionals, and the statue is another depiction of a chained, crouched man in gold leaf over stone.

Flat hammers can be very dangerous for a piano, and sound less than satisfying. Here is a side by side comparison on a nice little studio we serviced for @trimblehousenash -Nashville artists retreat studio. They acquired a one-family-owner 1931 Bradbury studio piano that needed a little maintenance, but was otherwise in excellent condition. Flat hammers are the result of excessive or years-long play without proper maintenance. The sound of the piano is no longer crisp and light, but rather duddy and lifeless. The deep grooving of the hammer felt caused by the strings can eventually deteriorate and break apart, remedied then only by replacing the full set of hammers. To prevent that costly job, hammers should be filed down and rounded back out.
