I ordered the Lysandre rares I've been wanting a while but just never got around to getting. (And the Crown Zenith Colress too 😁)
Also, another new arrival today, a 2003 PokeDoll Torchic! Completely impossible to stand upright without leaning it against something 😅

Treecko is a small reptilian that lives high up on tree branches, it has evolved to mimic leaves for protection from predators as well as using its leaf like tails to attract Beautifly which will lay their eggs on Treeckos tail, once the eggs hatch it will keep the Wurmple on its tail for long periods of time using the Wurmple as a easy food source. the bright red stripe running down its stomach is often used as a way to scare of smaller predators.
Mudkip are Amphibious creatures living in murky waters, they have a pair brightly coloured gills though they can also breath on land, their gills are often used as a way to communicate to others of their kind using vibrations and as a way to scare of and predators.
Torchic's upper body is covered in a thick layer of feathers, this provides extra heating for the bird which it uses to help power its fire attacks, its head has a large crest which moves depending on what the Torchic is feeling, they often flare these feathers out when trying to intimidate larger Pokémon.

This is Ace's team in my TWST x Pokémon crossover. Ambipom is his main partner. He, like the rest of Heartslabyul, uses Love Balls.
Ambipom's Moves: Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Agility and Counter. His Ability is Pickup. Ace met him on Main Street with Deuce's Torchic and Arley's Azurill. He evolved during Vil's Overblot.
Pansear's Moves: Fling, Fire Pledge, Work Up, Grass Knot and Torment. His Ability is Gluttony. Ace met Pansear when he found it in the courtyard apple tree with Deuce's Panpour.
Flamigo's Moves: Air Slash, Roost, Swords Dance, Low Kick and Liquidation. Her Ability is Scrappy. Ace met her in the Heartslabyul Garden.
Luvdisc's Moves: Safeguard, Rain Dance, Draining Kiss, Take Down and Water Pulse. Her Ability is Swift Swim. Ace met her in the Coral Sea while helping the Prefects get the picture from the museum.
Crustle's Moves: Shell Smash, Rock Polish, Smack Down, X-Scissor and Bulldoze. His Ability is Shell Armor. Ace met Crustle as a Dwebble that was digging around in the greenhouse for a rock to make his home. Ace helped him and he joined Ace's team.
Shaymin's Moves: Seed Flare, Dazzling Gleam, *Energy Ball/Air Slash, Baton Pass and Grassy Terrain. Its Ability is Serene Grace. Ace met it while looking for the hedgehogs that escaped. Mistaking it for one, he brings it back with him and is put in charge of it by Riddle.
*When Shaymin switches from Land and Sky Forme, Energy Ball and Air Slash switch.

I've decided to gush about Pokemon cuz I can <3
I've absolutely loved Pokemon since I was 9! My first game was Leaf Green for GameBoy Advance, cuz my big brother was getting rid of his games and he wanted to see if I'd be interested. Up 'til that point, I just knew it vaguely as some show I was interested in. Then I played the game and was hooked for the rest of time!
My first pokemon I ever picked was squirtle! I had no idea at the time that pokemon could evolve though, so I ended up nicknaming him Squirt lmao.
I've played through basically every region, although the newer games past Shield, I haven't finished them.
In each game, I tend to only really use 4 out of the 6 slots for the most part, as I only really need 4 main damage dealers. My strategy is offense, offense, one-hit K.O. when possible!
The pokemon I remember most from my various journeys include:
Squirt the Blastoise (my first starter and the reason why I almost always choose water starters, from Leaf Green)
Blue the Dragonair (a powerhouse, from my original Leaf Green team. the reason why dratini and dragonair remain some of my favorite pokemon!)
Meep the Ampharos (basically carried me my entire Black 2 playthrough and the reason I will always choose mareep if I ever need an electric type if a game offers it. if you know why he's named Meep. ily <3)
Sol the Espeon (Sol was an accidental team member in my original X playthrough! I was going for an umbreon, but got an espeon. Espeon has become one of my favorites since!)
Ace the Sylveon (I've had 3 seperate games where I use a sylveon in my team, and I usually default to a moveset of Draining Kiss, Iron Tail, Psyshock, and Moonblast or Fairy Wind. My strongest Sylveon is from my Shield playthrough, but the other two I used a sylveon was for Legends Arceus and Ultra Moon.)
Centi the Centiskorch (I don't normally use fire types in my playthroughs, but Centi is one of my two exceptions! Centi carried the majority of my Shield playthrough <3)
Pichi the Alolan Raichu (a powerhouse cutie who carried majority of my Ultra Moon playthrough! she's cutie patootie and her psychic-electric dual type is why I kept her on, as I don't normally use electric types when playing pokemon games)
Flare the Blaziken (normally I'm a water starter all the way, but after getting the torchic as a gift for the Pokemon XY preorder, a new friendship was born)
I've not finished Legends Arceus, or Violet, or even Shining Pearl yet, but Dachsbund and Fidough have grown on me. To be honest, I love pokemon so much, that every time I see pokemon just...casually living in domestic, happy bliss in the world of a game, I just start crying. Complete, incomprehensible sobs. If you've made it this far, please enjoy this screenshot of me posing with my son Pansito the Dachsbun <3

Sidon, if you don’t mind, I would like to know if there is any particular meals that would be of great comfort for you and Flare to have. So, so there any?
I don't know, she likes torchic...?

Hey, I'm guessing often too, don't fret too much there. Here, I'll share things I've found over the time I've known them.
Flare loves chocolate but can't have it, and she loves fried torchic. Zita loves sweets but not ones that look like rocks, she got annoyed at them 'tricking' her into thinking they were actual rocks. Ella adores Nutella, and I suspect L does too. Sidon had somewhat of a Greninja taste pallet and actually eats bugs sometimes; I found some flour and sweets made from bugs that he seems to love, I'm happy to share the source with you; otherwise he's easy to please! Alex is also easy to please if she happens to be around. Emily I'm not sure of, and I haven't gotten Rowan's tastes narrowed down basically at all. Gwen is also still a food mystery to me, though I suppose that's partially my fault for not trying to find out more often.
There. That should get you started, I think?
This is all very helpful information, thank you!
Loves chocolate but can't have it...a dilemma indeed, but perhaps the flavor could be emulated safely. Assuming it is for health reasons, that is.
Zita and Ella, I believe I have something in mind already.
And as for the others, they will require further thought, but I believe I can make this work.
...Yes, at this rate surely I will have earned a place in this family.

So one last quick update about the rest of those Torchic eggs! The rest of them have hatched finally so we now have these last two!
[Picture of two Torchic sitting next to each other. One looks like a regular torchic but it is reflecting MASSIVE amounts of light. It creates a lense flare that catches the camera. The other is a Torchic with a Zapdos like pattern that seems to be crackling with electricity. The image is a little darker around it. It has an eerily serious look to it as it glares at the camera]
We've been using a lot of rubber gloves to handle the Zapdos Torchic. Luckily it doesn't seem to be as dangerous as some of the other legendary Torchics we've seen hatched. It needs a LOT of insulation to be around. Nearly fried one of our incubation consoles when it hatched, but if you already are dealing with electric types and have proper surge protection (not THAT kind of Surge) you should be fine!
As for the other one, it's just a normal Torchic. Just VERY reflective. It's a little hard to get a clear photo of. But otherwise it seems pretty normal.
Anyway we are adopting these out as well. Man I'm starting to feel like a starter lab. This REALLY isn't supposed to be that kind of lab! Oh well.

Hunter’s Pokémon journey part 33.
After I managed to succeed through the Unova region, I began to travel the Kalos region in Pokémon X. I arrived in Vaniville Town and when I went to Aquacorde Town, I met Serena, Shauna, Tierno and Trevor. They wanted me to choose my starter Pokémon in Kalos. They were Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie. I chose Chespin to be my Kalos starter. After that, I went through Santalune Forest and caught more Pokémon such as Bunnelby, Fletchling and Scatterbug. After making it through the forest, I managed to get to Santalune City. At the Pokémon center, I got a special gift Pokémon. It was a Torchic and he was holding a mysterious stone. I trained my Pokémon and caught more Pokémon such as Litleo. And then my Scatterbug evolved into a Spewpa. After that, we faced against the first gym leader of the Kalos region, the bug type specialist Viola. Her Surskit was very quick and Vivillon was more agile in the air. But my Pokémon and I refused to back down and I managed to win and I earned the bug badge. Then I caught more Pokémon such as Flabébé. I caught 5 of them, each with a different colored flower. And my Spewpa evolved into a Vivillon! It had a different pattern than the one Viola has. I arrived at Lumiose City to heal my Pokémon at the Pokémon center. Then I went to see Professor Sycamore at his lab. He allowed me to choose one of the Kanto starter Pokémon to team up with me on my Kalos journey, and I chose Charmander. Then he gave me a stone that was similar to that of the one Torchic had. After that, I went to catch more Pokémon such as Skiddo, Pancham and Furfrou. I liked Furfrou because I can groom it to have different hairstyles. I made it to Camphrier Town and got word that the bridge is blocked by a sleeping Snorlax. I knew that would never do. So I went to the Parfum Palace and got the Poké flute. After that, I caught Espurr & Honedge. The music of the flute woke up Snorlax and it attacked me. Chespin tried its best, but then, it evolved into Quilladin! It weakened Snorlax with its new move, Needle Arm and I caught it. After that, I went to visit the battle chateau. And after some training there, I thought I saw some floating cotton candy. When I took a bite, it yelped in pain! It was a wild Swirlix! It angrily attacked with Energy Ball, but my Fletchling hit it with Steel Wing and I managed to catch it. After going through the connecting cave and avoiding all the Zubat, I found an Inkay. I used some sandwiches to lure it in. When Inkay took the bait, I caught it. Then I made it to Ambrette Town and went to the aquarium. At the beach outside the aquarium, I caught a Binacle. Then, I went to ride a Rhyhorn to the glittering cave. Along the path, I found a Helioptile and caught it. When I made it through the glittering cave and reached the end, I encountered some bad people called Team Flare! My Pokémon and I beat them and chased them out of the cave. And when we did, more of my Pokémon evolved. Now I got Diggersby, Fletchinder, Charmeleon and Combusken. Then I found 2 fossils. A sail fossil and a jaw fossil. I chose the jaw fossil and took it with me back to Ambrette Town and went to the fossil research center, where they restored the fossil into a Pokémon called Tyrunt. After that, I trained my Pokémon and arrived at Cyllage City, where I battled gym leader Grant and his rock types. I won and got the cliff badge. After that, I went to Geosenge Town to rest for the night.

Fire High Score event information is up, and that means teambuilding. Unlike Electric, Fire is a type I respect and invest in, so I feel like this one I can do better at.
MU Torchic, Anni N, Serena vs. Kiawe (needs Sp Def drops) Condition is "Strike pairs lose 80% of their stats." So Tech it is.
This is by far the shakiest of the fights, because I personally think MU Torchic sucks ass as a support, but it's literally all we have to work with. I am hoping, foolishly, that Anni N can manage its HP needs with Noble Roar. If the Eevee Day stuff runs into the end of this, I may try with a 3/5 Eevee Lucas. The spread debuffs will really accelerate N's offensive presence, which might be better than relying on survival. The goal is fairly simple. Serena can hit all foes with Sleep, stalling out a few extra turns while N debuffs and Torchic caps its needed offenses. Once we get to Blue Flare spam, N has Pep Rally and Sp Def debuffs to offset the stage's gimmicks. Because of resilience, I expect Serena to contribute little beyond some target DPS on Overheat. If we can hit 350 strength on this one, I'll feel good about it. Torchic will want to use Flamethrower for some burns, since we get an extra 1k from a burn landing.
Kiawe, Leon, Silver vs. Blaine (Evasion and Ground weak) No conditions. Just a straight brawl.
Blaine's team is 100% weak to Leon, so this feels like the obvious call. Kiawe is the best Leon partner among the supports, being able to top off crit rate and hopefully offenses without another use of TM. Leon's Max Move on Ground will give the team added Sp Def bulk, which hopefully assists with survival. The one thing about Leon is that his sync sucks. I am supplementing that with Silver, who has a pretty solid sync nuke, and supplies Sun. Admittedly, I am not in love with this solution, but it's the solution I have on hand right now. And who knows, maybe Sun-boosted Inferno is just better than the on-type damage. At least until he rolls SEUN. If we can get 400 strength, I'll be happy with it. I'm probably not going to be happy with it. In fact. If Serena works out up there. I'm putting Eevee Lucas over Silver. It'll likely achieve comparable results, but it gets the Main Character condition in.
Evelyn, Hilda, NC Leaf Vs. Flint (needs Burn and pre-sync) No healing. *sigh*. Okay, so there goes the Potion support for Evelyn.
The condition fucks Evelyn up like crazy, but she's the strongest raw defensive booster in the type. NC Leaf's debuffs also feel ideal here, minimizing the damage we're likely to take. Hilda may not have Potion, but she's self-sufficient on boosting and has a decent spread nuke for after Leaf's first setting the rebuff. I am hopeful we can achieve 500 Strength here, but lack of healing may hinder us.
Marley, SS May, Lodge Irida Vs. Chili (needs Def drops) -2 move gauge. Alright, deal.
Now this one I am substantially less confident in. Marley is EX, but even with that, she's frail as sin. Which seriously limits our potential for higher strength clears, because she's just gonna die. SS May is not know for her speed of debuffs. However...that's why Irida's here. Irida has flinch, which is a wonderful tool to stall out those extra turns for May to kick things apart. Irida can also supply some really nice secondary DPS in Flare Blitz when we get down to the wire, and has a solid 50% burn rate for that extra 1k points. Marley will want to grid Flag Bearer to maximizing Atk for the team. Much like MC Torchic, I feel like this is not a team built for true success, so if we can hit 350 I'll be satisfied.
SS Morty, SS Hilda, Ethan Vs. Flannery (Need Sun) 80% reduction in ally sync nuke. Motherfucker.
SS Hilda's the only sensible solution. Given her raw DPS on V-Create, this is the highest base damage we can toss around. I am choosing, very hesitantly, to go with Ethan and his Eruption. But I am, at a moment's notice, ready to swap him for SS Red. While I hate to say it, Red has better move damage, and Ethan is Rock-weak so he might just die against Flannery. But god I am hoping I don't have to use Red. Please game, you can't make me do this. Red would be a good call though. He doesn't really need his sync beyond transforming, so Supports are good here. NC Leaf with Role Cake is probably great on this too. Given Morty's defensive profile, I am very much hoping for a 500 strength clear here. The main problem I have with this team is the Burn. While I don't think he's great due to the lack of sync damage, Silver could supply more Sun and has a 50% burn rate, so maybe I'll shuffle him here over Ethan? Though Ethan's Flamethrower isn't a terrible burn rate.

Entry #3
Things have been going well in the lab the past few days. My research seems to report a number of benefits in both trainers and Pokémon who participate in competitive battling. So far, data suggests that Pokémon who are given such opportunities to succeed are significantly more confident than wild or pet Pokémon. This does make sense, but there are a few issues that need to be considered. Namely, fully evolved Pokémon are more common in competitive spaces, and this could be causing the effect. Alternatively, more confident Pokémon may be more likely to approach trainers in the wild, and thus get captured. I’m planning to run a few species-specific examinations, which will hopefully allow me to get a more complete picture. To that end, I’m going to be visiting a few different places around Hoenn coming up while corresponding with my research partner, Professor Fir, who is in Unova right now.
Aside from that, Laurel seems to be fully acclimatized to the team as it stands, and Milo has seemingly accepted this new addition. Michel has been a little apprehensive, but he’s always been slow to warm up.
I’m going to be leaving Flare and Laurel behind in the care of a friend while I’m travelling since I expect to be in a few places that could be dangerous for them, so I’ll introduce you all to two other members of my team in my next log entry.

Vanhi [Lvl 100] ♂ OT: May Origin: Littleroot Town, Hoenn Adamant; alert to sounds.
Favorite moves: Flare Blitz, Blaze Kick, Close Combat, High Jump Kick, Brick Break, Crush Claw, Thunder Punch, Brave Bird, Swords Dance.
Vanhi was but a Torchic when he teamed up with May at the start of her journey.
fairly eager to prove his own strength, the two developed a respect for one another.
as her ace, he typically remains outside of his capsule (unless traveling or in disguise).
he has participated in every battle that has won May a badge (including in foreign circuits).
his cool demeanor hides the heart of a true fighter; Van loves few things more than battle, aside from May.
he’s rather domestic, helping around with all sorts of tasks and chores that May neglects.
often has to keep his trainer’s impulsiveness in check.
the two train with each other frequently in hand-to-hand combat.
is very protective, but less likely to pick a fight than his trainer. He understands she is more than capable of defending herself.
