This wheel came in last week with a very bad bend (1.400 bend) this is about 3X more severe than most bends we see. Customized Ford Expedition set came in with curb damage to the machined face and grey pockets. We stripped the set down and repaired the damage. After a phosphate pre-treatment, the barrel and pockets were powder coated black. The faces were then machined and the entire wheel was finished with an acrylic clear top coat. BMW M3 Style 359 refinished in OEM hyper silver. The hyper silver process is a labor intensive refinishing job: •After removing any tires, we check every wheel for cracks, bends or other visible damage. Anything concerning is reported to the client before we proceed. •We then strip all of the existing finish off of the rim. •Any damage is repaired •The wheels are pretreated for coating in a phosphate wash. •We protect the hub area from coating overspray to ensure proper fitment back on the vehicle. •The coating stages consist of a powder base coat, a color coat and a clear powder top coat. Each coat is cured individually. •Quality control is performed to ensure the hyper silver finish is wrapped completely around the lip of the wheel & the finished product meets standards. •Any tires are installed & Roadforce balanced. We will dispose of any old tires per the client's request. •The entire process from start to finish takes several days.
