the nature of thinking about the later ghost story books is that i inevitably get plagued by fiverthoughts it’s happening right now i can feel it happening right now and i can’t even be mad that it’s distracting me from the current plot bc like. oh my god. ohhhh my god. the thing about fiver is that he is simultaneously very false and deeply, achingly, sincere in basically everything he does. like every third word out of that man’s mouth is just a plain bald-faced lie that he tells with total confidence while fully aware that he’s lying and what impact it will have, but at the same time he’s only motivated by his emotions, and he feels everything to an extreme degree. he’s interesting to write bc he really truly does NOT have any ulterior motives or greater plan he’s working towards despite keeping so many plot-relevant secrets and being so cagey about his past. in reality his primary motivation is just how much he wants absolutely NOTHING to do with any of the larger plot. he sees an event that feels like it will have consequences for the world at large and starts sprinting in the opposite direction he is! not! looking! he does! not! fucking! see! it!!!! after [REDACTED] happened and he started getting visions he did everything in his power to avoid anything that might feature in them and steer others away from those outcomes. he believes he can build a place that the world won’t be able to touch where him and the people he loves will be safe and he will draw any blind bolt any door ignore any sign twist any truth to make it happen!!!! that’s the only reason he does it. that’s literally all he wants. and idk i know i’m the one writing him but i can’t decide whether that makes the whole situation better or so much worse.

Soooo it's looking like we're roughly £60-70 short for the remainder of the month, just to cover the electricity and one last grocery stock up. Im trying to keep £25 or so back for this weekend as well, so I can go see Charlie for her birthday and Pride. We've been using the GoFundMe (since the entire reason we're struggling this month is the credit card shenanigans, we're kind of viewing it as. Debt by proxy, I guess, since we were expecting to have access to it) but it takes a few days for it to come through. So, yeah, immidiate aid for everyday expenses is much more accessible to us through PayPal or kofi.

We can't thank yall enough, we're so close to breaking even. I'm doing a few extra shifts this month as well in the hope that next month we won't need to ask for help at all. You guys keep us housed and fed but please know we are working to get to a point where you won't have to.

i get it, but i wasn't really feeling up to it... maybe it's just me being silly but after everything that happened last month i dont really think i have that energy. im just emtionally drained and need relaxation... i doubt he would know about it anyways. i think machete always thinks twice about what he did, in a way. maybe he's at that sticky place that i am where its not like you couldnt care less, but you dont really care. he probably liked me, but likes his gf more 🤷‍♀️

couldn't agree more! i think it's frustrating, but blowing people alway with intelligence is one of my forte's and what drew most of his friends to me - i'm good friends with them (more to his vexation tee hee! it was a happy accident, i didnt do it on purpose tho)

So it’s one week until my 28th birthday 🥳!! As you may have noticed (or may not 😂) every year on my birthday for the last 6 years, I’ve run a fundraiser for @cityhospice which is the hospice that looks after me, and provides support to my loved ones. I also encourage people around the world to donate to their local hospice. I’ve always thought it’s a lovely way to celebrate another year of life for me, to use my advocacy as a way to spread some kindness to vital services and the people who need them. But this year I’m going to be a little bit selfish; this year, if you are one of the amazing people who usually donates to a hospice in my name, please consider donating to our wedding fund instead. It doesn’t need to be masses of money to make a difference; even a fiver will help! I don’t talk about finances often, but my family are not well off, and we never will be. Most of us are too unwell to work, and even when my parents worked (my mum was actually medically retired five times and kept going back to work until she couldn’t, and dad still works full time with rheumatoid arthritis on chemo) they chose to work less hours for less money to spend time with me; time we weren’t sure we’d get more of. My fiancé works two jobs, but he’s also now a full time carer (something he’s had to get used to), and obviously our romance has been something of a whirlwind… not a lot of time to save 😂 Our wedding is mostly being funded by kindness and love; not just money, but skills and donations from other weddings etc. And for that kindness, I’m beyond grateful. I never thought I’d live long enough to fall in love and get married; I wouldn’t even let myself dream about it. But by some miracle, it’s happening. And I’m beyond touched by everyone who’s helped us get here ❤️❤️❤️ My plan to continue fundraising for city hospice is to do something big next year after the wedding (currently it’s top secret!), so they’ve not been forgotten!
