[SFM] Happy 10th Anniversary FNaF This time I prepared in advance! One of my favorite game universes is already 10 years old... 10 whole years, I can’t quite believe it! To think that 2014 was so long ago. And thanks to this fandom I found my friends, for which I am also grateful! And yesterday a teaser for the new part was released... Animatronics are loosely grounded in real-world mechanical engineering, giving them plausible designs for them to have existed in the 1980’s (down to the very components that make them function.)

The restaurant itself has regulations and procedures to manage the animatronics during the day (this varies depending on the restaurant).

The restaurant layouts themselves have been redesigned to be more coherent with the rules of architecture.

The animatronic characters themselves have their own lore and personalities within the cartoon world.

I have a full list of employees who worked at Fazbear Entertainment.

The rules of the spirits are grounded in real-world cultural beliefs, as well as typical ghost hunting traditions.

No character is written to be two-dimensional. The characters don’t just do stuff for the plot; they do them because it’s in-character for them to do so. In other words, be prepared for emotional trauma. :)

The only reliable source of information regarding the canon plot of In Loving Memory is the first four games, which I have made a considerable effort to put a spin on every single detail. However, certain details and plots are pulled from future games in order to make a more coherent plot. Other details are custom from the writer or, under rare circumstances, changed from the game lore.

It’s also worth noting that some characters (mainly the movie characters) have been given different names to differentiate their characters from Scott’s canons.

The End of an Era

“Connection Terminated.” (Steele). That quote starts one of the most iconic speeches and endings in the Five Nights at Freddy´s (FNAF) franchise. It takes place during the 6th installment, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator (FFPS). FFPS is a game created by Scott Cawthon, published in December 2017, and has 3 main parts to the gameplay. The first part is where you run a pizzeria, another part has you “salvage”, aka keep or throw away the animatronics that are found near your pizzeria, and the final part is a classic FNAF game where the animatronics, possessed by spirits of dead children and one William Afton, are trying to kill you as you try to survive, the only difference being that it ends once you complete a set of tasks rather than it ending at 6 am. Depending on how you play the game you can get a different ending. During one of those possible endings, commonly referred to as the Completionist Ending, you get to hear a speech from one of the characters, Henry (voiced by Dave Steele), where he says goodbye to all the animatronics and this era of FNAF in general. The goal of that particular ending, which is presented via Henry's speech, is to end the stories of and say goodbye to the animatronics, to Michael Afton, to William Afton, to Henry's daughter Charlie Emily, and to wrap up this arc in the franchise allowing it to move on.

The Completionist Ending starts with Henry saying goodbye to the animatronics. That goodbye, however, is broken up into 2 different areas that work together to explain and give context about what is happening and properly end their story. The first spot is at the very beginning of his speech,

You don't even realize that you are trapped

Your lust for blood has driven you in endless circles

Chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber

Always seeming so near, yet somehow out of reach

But, you will never find them, none of you will

This is where your story ends. (Steele)

Henry introduces his plan to free the animatronics and even gives some reasoning for it, which is that they have become mindless creatures who only want to kill so he is going to end their story and free them. This section is overall just a brief introduction to Henry's plan during this ending. However, it´s not until the second time he addresses them that he properly says goodbye and talks further about his plan and what he hopes will happen because of it.

And to you monsters trapped in the corridors

Be still, and give up your spirits

They don't belong to you

For most of you, I believe there is peace and perhaps, more

Waiting for you after the smoke clears (Steele)

When Henry says goodbye to the animatronics in this section of his speech he is setting them free and ending their story via fire. However, he is also giving the souls trapped in them their happy ending or as it’s referred to in the games their “Happiest Day”, which serves to better wrap up their arc and involvement in the story. The animatronics have been set free and can finally have peace. That is their ending.

In this ending Michael's goal of finding and killing his father, William Afton is finally achieved and in doing so he can finally rest and his story can end. In every FNAF game up to and including FFPS, you play as Micheal Afton during his quest to end his father's reign of terror. That goal is stated in FNAF: Sister location when Michael is monologuing to William, ¨I'm going to come find you...I'm going to come find you.¨ (Heywood). Yet once you get to the games following FFPS like FNAF Security Breach or Help Wanted 1 & 2 you play as different characters like Gregory or Vannesa, showing that Michael's story has truly ended, he is no longer our protagonist or player character, and as Henry says, ¨I have a feeling that's not what you want. I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be.¨ (Steele). Michael has done all he needs to and can finally die with everyone else in the fire, he is where he wants to be. Michael Afton´s story is over and he can rest.

The Completionist Ending finally ends William Aftons, the main villain of the FNAF franchise, never-ending reign of terror. William's refusal to die and to keep being the villain is seen in this quote from him, “I always come back” (Heywood). It takes until FFPS, which as a reminder is the 6th installment in the franchise, for there to be an ending to William's story and according to Henry, ¨The darkest pit of Hell has opened to swallow you whole. So, don't keep the Devil waiting, old friend.¨ (Steele). Henry damns William to suffer in whatever afterlife there is and it works. In FNAF Ultimate Custom Night, where you play as William Afton reliving the same night over and over, while all the animatronics seen in the franchise come after him in the classic FNAF game style. William Afton´s ending is that he will forever be tormented and never allowed to rest.

Henry’s goodbye to his daughter, Charlie Emily, is used to end her story, but it's also a much more personal goodbye and is used to give context to their relationship and what happened to Charlie in her death.

I'm sorry that on that day

The day you were shut out and left to die

No one was there to lift you up into their arms

The way you lifted others into yours

And then, what became of you

I should have known, you wouldn't be content to disappear

Not my daughter. I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now

It's time to rest, for you, and for those you have carried in your arms

When Henry talks to Charlie he confirms things about her death and what happened to her, like the fact that she died alone, which was theorized about in the fandom. These confirmations help to wrap up any loose ends in her story and properly end it. Not only did Henry confirming these things wrap up her story for the fandom, but his final words helped close out Charlie's story for herself, with him finally being there to save her. Charlie can finally rest and find peace with the rest of the animatronics.

The Completionist Ending and Henry´s speech in general strived to wrap up that era of FNAF and specific characters' stories. When Henry spoke he was not only giving one more speech before they all died in the fire, but he also said goodbye to everyone and gave them their ¨Happiest Day¨ so they could all move on to where they belong. The spirits in the animatronics including Charlie have been set free and they can finally have peace, Michael is finally able to rest having completed his goal, and William will forever be tormented in his death as he deserves. Their stories are finished and FNAF can move on to its next arc. “This ends. For all of us. End communication.” (Steele)

Who Was The First And William Wore The Springbonnie suit

So many people debate on who was William's first victim and if William wore Fredbear or Springbonnie for the MCI, well we have a few answers.

So in Five Nights At Freddy's: Pizzeria Simulator you can get the insanity ending. In it Henry Emily says the following. "A wound first inflicted on me but then, one that I let bleed out to cause all of this." Henry is referring to the Security Puppet and Save Him Minigames in and the the MCI. This places the MCI happening after William went after Charlie, and Henry not doing lead to William continuing on. This also adds up because in Five Night's At Freddy's 2's Give Gifts Give Life minigame it is Charlie who gives the MCI life, meaning she would have to already be there possessing the the Puppet.

From here we get the Fruity Maze minigame showing William using the Springbonnie costume and going after Susie. This alongside Withered Chica saying they were the first in Five Nights At Freddy's: Ultimate Custom Night, tells us Susie was the first of the MCI William went after. "I was the first, I have seen everything." It also confirms that William used the Springbonnie outfit for the MCI and not Fredbear.

Bonus, some people think Circus Baby killed Elizabeth before the Bite Of 83, however this doesn't add up. First off Elizabeth is implied to be around somewhere in Five Night's At Freddy's 4 due to her room being present. But the main thing is in the Funtimes would have been created after Freddy Fazbear's Pizza closed for the first time, for Circus Baby's Pizza World+Circus Baby's Entertainment And Rentals, as confirmed by Hand Unit in Night 1 of Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location. "Due to the massive success and even more so the unfortunate closing of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza it was clear that the stage was set no pun intended for another contender in children's entertainment. Unlike most entertainment venues our robotic entertainers are rented out for private parties during the day, and it's your job to get the robots back in proper working order before the following morning." Many people try to do this to give a reason for the Crying Child being so afraid and explain what it is they saw, even though the games don't line up with this. In addition, there is the fact whatever the Crying Child saw was supposed to be a misunderstanding according to Scott. "What is seen in Shadows that is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child."

FIve Nights at Freddy's AU

For one-shots or headcannons involving fnaf, I'll be using my own interpretations of the characters and story unless you guys say otherwise, and for the sake of people requesting certain characters I will be changing some things while still trying to keep to the canon (may have gone a little overboard for fnaf 4 though, you have been warned). Everything's in order so if you're only interested in a specific character/s just skip to over to whichever game they came from. I will also do any of the human characters as well and keep in mind some fnaf characters are more fleshed out then others so if some of them seem extremely 2 dimensional or don't have that much personality to them like others that's why so sorry about that.

Fnaf 1: The original crew will either be possessed by adults who used to work at the pizzeria or are just sentiant A.I with the souls of the kids hanging around and occassionally taking control. I might post some info about them but the basics are Freddy (42) was a dayguard and acts like the father figure of the group, Bonnie (31) was a technician, Chica was a janitor (25) and Foxy was a waitor (28). They remember who killed them and are still waiting till they can finally take their revenge. Phone Guy's possessing Golden Freddy, and he kinda just chills in the kitchen storage room while getting occasisionally visits from the others while Evan is also possessing the suit as well but isn't really active.

Fnaf 2: The toy animatronics are all sentient A.I including Marionette who has Charlie's soul attatched to them. Same stuff from the fnaf 1 section applies to the Withered animatronics, and the Withers and Toy animatronics get along fairly well. As for Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie, not 100% sure what to do for them but for the sake of this I'm making them beings made from corrupted remnant and gained sentience. This doesn't mean they're evil, they're just a little funkier then your usual spirit. Shadow Freddy tends to be calm and tries his best to keep Shadow Bonnie's chaos under control.

Fnaf 3: Springtrap is obviously going to be possessed by William while the phantoms will be spirits that take form of the animatronics. They all can barely remember their pasts and most aren't aware of who Springtrap is other then Marionette. Springtrap is either a tired man who's realised after being trapped for 30 years that maybe immortality and toddler slaughtering aren't actually that great, or a cocky bastard who thinks that being an undead furry is the best thing ever and has no regrets. Take your pick lol.

Fnaf 4: The Nightmares are all beings created by Evan's (C.C) own fear and used to be mindless murder machines. Though thanks to Cassidy's help his perception of them finally changed and in return, the nightmares changed as well. They're all now their own person and live in the Nightmare Realm, one of the many pocket dimensions only capable of being accessed through dreams or death. They can come into reality but it takes a lot of energy and being in sunlight hurts. Also Plushtrap is not a child in this au, he's actually the oldest out of the nightmares as well as the grumpiest. It's not his fault he's so short so leave him be.

Sister Location: All of the funtimes except for Circus Baby are sentient A.I. This means Mrs Afton doesn't posses Ballora, as I personally don't believe it's canon since it's only been mentioned that she was made to be modelled after her and not that she's actually inside her. Ennard will have everyone but CB inside of them so I will accept any romantic scenarios for them, though expect them to be indecisive and argue with themselves. Like a lot.

Pizzeria Simulator: Rockstar animatronics are sentient A.I, the scrap animatronics have the same rules from their og counterparts. Helpy's not considered a child (he helps you with taxes and lawsuits, so he's in a similar boat with Plushtrap) and is Michael's best friend. Ultimate Custom Night: William's stuck in his own personal hell cause surprisingly enough, Cassidy didn't enjoy getting killed and being stuck in aFredbear suit for over 40 years. Animatronics there are sentient and are partially controlled by Cassidy, and they're not the original ones, just created by her memory of them or what she knows about others.

Fnaf AR: So basically the way I go about this one is that the animatronics are there in real life, you just can't see them without them uncloaking themselves. They're unable to interact with reality unless they uncloak due to how augmented reality works but this also means you can't hit them until then either. They're all just sentient A.I so they're not the real animatronics, and while some have accepted this others will try to tell you otherwise (-cough cough- Springtrap -cough-), and when you defeat them they just get added to your ever growing animatronic army. They no longer have the ability to physically harm you and you can communicate with them even if they're not there through a texting feature on the app.

Help Wanted: Glitchtrap is going to be William's soul stuck in the video game and not even he's sure how he got there either, some cases will be a parasite in your mind that only you can see for obvious reasons.

Security Breach/Ruin: All the animatronics here are just sentient A.I and not possessed by any souls, so apologies to the Glamrock Freddy = Michael Afton theorists, though I will write for that au if specified as well as the other with Henry possessing him. As for Peepaw… I will write for him in an x reader scenario but unless specified that it's crack I will be silently judging you. I mean he's a grumpy, 80 year-old man that needs a walking stick and in some cases a wheelchair to get around so if you really want to simp for him that badly be my guest, and ship requests for him are allowed purely for the funny hahas (except with Vanessa). Also I'm happy to write him as either William or Mimic.

Fnaf Books: Mainly talking about the Silver Eye trilogy but I'm willing to accept other characters in Fazbear Frights and all the other books, though my knowledge on them is wayyy more limited and will be coming from things I looked up online so sorry if I get things wrong there. No lore changes that I can think of other then small headcannons.

Fnaf Movie: Everything here is the same, with the added headcannons that Mike's father was basically this universe's Henry Emily (why else would he drive several hours for this one specific kid. Old man's quirky but not that quirky. Also Steve is going to be a goofy, nerdy guy even if his partner is aware of him being a child murderer because he's a little silly, and expect rabbits galore in anything set at his place. Meanwhile Vanessa is severely traumatised and has a lot of issues, and Mike's just depressed and insecure af.

I L O V E D SCRAP BABY!!!! SHE LOOKS S O ✨️UNHINGED ✨️I prefer this design 1000000 better than her previous design in the sister's location.

Those two are probably my absolute favorite. I know there is S O M U C H more, but as I said, I'm watching Mark play it, and his first play through, he didn't hit quite everything. On his playlist, he has a revist, so when I get to it, I'll probably add more we shall see.
