Cut Week 1
First week of my cut! And time is definitely going by fast. My mind set is much better off. I'm portioning my food and not restricting myself on certain things.
That old mentality of what losing weight is out of my mind and I've learned that losing weight is as easy as Calories in vs. Calories out.
My workout routine has been on point! I'm completely sore and feeling every inch of that good ol' pain. No Pain, No Gain! & I want them GAINZ! I am having problems trying to stay with my Calorie intake. When we begin to think diet or cut we go on auto pilot which has us eating less. I don't want to go down that route of lowering my calories so low that eventually I'll binge here and there just to get my fill of satisfaction. Working hard next week to hit my numbers!
As simple as this first week has come and gone, I'm still a long ways to go. Feeling great and can't wait to see the number on the scale drop and see my body transform!
Stay focus!

Re-Calibrate
Ugh! Talk about time flying by! I have new plans for my fit journey & I'm excited about it!
Basically I will be focusing on losing weight and toning. That mean I'll have to be at a caloric deficit and do more cardio + lift heavy! CAN DO MANDOO
Assuming maintenance is at 2000 Calories. I will need to eat less than that. I don't really believe in 6 meals a day (which may work for some people, but with my work schedule it doesn't, plus I don't have a microwave at work, and I don't want to eat COLD chicken or steak). I am more into flexible dieting & watching my macros. I basically got these numbers online and an app where I just input my measurements and so here is where I'll start. I will also be comparing what I got from my online trainer as far as macros. It'll take a while to find out what is my weight lost numbers will be but here is where I am starting.
Calories: 1770
Fats: 49g
Carbs: 177g
Protein: 155g
CW: 150 @ 5'5
For my cardio I don't plan on doing anything drastic like 2 hours of cardio. To start off I plan on hitting at least 300 calories on the treadmill or elliptical (keeping my heart rate between 140-160). Plan to hit Cardio at least 3-4 times a week for now, just so I can see how things are going.
For weights I'm planning on doing 5X5 heavy sets or 4X10-12. I go to the gym everyday but If I feel that I'm completely worked then I take a rest day (just listen to your body). Why heavy, my thinking more muscles = more fat burned... Makes sense to me to lift heavy. So Will do!
I don't plan on working Chest & Abs so much this first round. Chest I'll get in a few push ups till failure as warm ups, I tend to do a lot of compound movements for shoulders and arms so I'll get a some chest workout there. Abs I'll Superset in with my back and leg days but I won't focus on that right now. The abs are there, there's just under a layer of fat over it, so I'll work on them as I drop in body fat %. Plus I hear that abs are made in the kitchen (wish me luck there)
This is where I'm at for now!

Rough Week
This week was a rough week… I lacked motivation and I missed out on a few of my workouts. I weigh myself every morning just so I can see where I'm ranging, & the number on the scale doesn't usually bother me but this week it did... I was displeased with my weight fluctuation this week and Friday I completely let that get to me. Friday night after a long day at work, I had a protein shake and headed to bed. I didn't want to dwell on negative thoughts so I forced myself to sleep.
Saturday was a new day, and I woke up feeling determine to hit hammies and glutes at the gym plus a 15 min. HIIT workout. I wanted to redeem myself for the negative thoughts and missing my workouts. And I definitely killed it at the gym. This road wasn't meant to be easy. If it was then everyone would be fit. We all have our ups and downs its how we get back up that makes us stronger than those who stay down.
This is a new week. And I plan to get refocused and pumped for a good week! You can always change tomorrow by changing today!
Stay with it all! You won't regret it!
