Now about a 109 miles away from it's original location at the #FitchburgRail depot in Boston, the "Jenny Lind Tower" was saved from demolition in 1927 and rebuilt brick by brick in #TruroMA on Cape Cod . . . #JennyLind was a popular #Opera singer in the 1850's and as the story goes her #Boston appearance was so oversold that a mob gather outside the auditorium located at what was the Fitchburg Rail Depot. . . The appearance was booked by none other than Mr #PTBarnum, so the next part of the story may be a mix of fact & fiction..... . . Hearing the crowds massed outside unable to gain entry to her performance, Jenny Lind climbed to the top of this tower and performed for the crowd gathered below quelling a certain riot in the making. . .
