today i'm sharing a bit of this alex/pez that has been lamenting in my docs waiting to get edited and i've been popping in and out of off and on lately (it even has a damn title card already (which i edited up for today's wip wed lolz)

it's smut-adjacent - betwixt horny kisses against the door and moving on to the bedroom - but cuz it's a bit wordy i'll put it behind a cut (with some tags) to save everyone's dashboards

When Alex’s eyes finally meet Pez’s, he finds him watching with an intensity that is somehow both thrilling and comforting. There is a warmth in his eyes that sends another thrill through an already eager for more Alex. Percy’s hand remains at his waist and his fingers trace light circles against Alex’s hip. It’s almost as if he’s trying to ground them both in the moment. “I knew you’d be worth the wait,” Percy murmurs. Alex finds himself overly aware of how Pez’s voice is a little rough as his thumb gently brushes Alex’s jaw leaving his skin tingling. It makes his chest tighten at the contrast between that and the softness in his gaze. The feelings he’s been fighting for months are now no longer willing to be ignored. Alex lets out a shaky laugh. He feels a little dazed and his head spins in the best way. “We haven’t even got to the point where you would know that for sure,” he teases, but his voice is soft, almost tentative, he’s just as affected by this as Percy seems to be. Percy chuckles, his eyes bright with amusement, and leans in to press a lingering kiss to the corner of Alex’s mouth. “Far enough for me to know that I can’t wait for what’s to come.” he replies. Alex feels Pez’s fingers move up to gently cup the back of his neck and leans back into it. “This has felt almost inevitable for so long, there’s no way it won’t be.” Alex lets himself savor the warmth of Percy’s touch, the gentle way his fingers trace a reassuring line along his skin. He closes his eyes as his mind spins—he knows he’s been hesitant and cautious, even when his heart told him he didn’t need to be. Now, here, he finally feels the weight of it all lifting away—finally giving in to where this has been leading all along . Eyes still closed he lets out a breath. With is follows a quiet confession, before he can stop himself the words slip between his lips. “I think I wanted this from the second I met you.” He opens his eyes to see Percy’s eyes light up, and that satisfied smile he’s come to know so well tugging at his lips as his hand gently tugs Alex even closer—until there’s no space between them at all. “Then let’s stop waiting,” Pez whispers, Alex can’t help but think about the way his voice is thick with promise he can’t wait to see.
