is it just me or has casual racism against desi people become increasingly rampant on social media lately
#like i have been noticing lately and the name calling the slurs everything has become so normalized#people are saying vile things and others are agreeing with it#thing is#racism against desi people has existed for so long without being addressed at all#firstly there's the southern asian countries aren't 'actually' asian discourse#then the blatant hatred and racism against brown people#and worse#content creators of desi ethnicity laughing along with it and taking it as a joke and playing into this#there is so much casual racism right now it is very concerning#the internet is not a safe space for if you are indian Pakistani bangladeshi sri lankan nepali etc#there are people who are literally saying things like curry-licking shit faced slave and no one is batting an eye#and whenever someone critcizes a popular desi content creator like aj bhairav or that one guy who wants to fuck himself#(rightfully so their content sucks)#even if the person making the video respectfully criticizes the content alone without even mentioning the race#the comment section is filled with so much racism#the internet has made assholes very comfortable with being an absolute dick and facing no consequences for it#and even worse#there are actual desi people who go on to say 'we don't claim them' like you are part of the problem#do not roll over and let people call us disgusting things#racism doesn't happen only to black people#it really really needs to be addressed#desi tag#desi#desiblr
