Levi or Nico getting hurt and the other one taking care of him

“How?”

Nico keeps his head down, not looking up, not looking into his boyfriend’s worried and confused eyes. He sees him running around, taking out bandages and a cooling pack and other medical supplies that are not really needed. Hold on… Is that a scalpel?

“Like… How? I don’t get it. How did this happen?”

“I told you. I tripped.”

“Tripped.” Levi doesn’t sound convinced.

“Yeah. Like… really hard.”

“Tripped hard.” Levi pauses. “More like hardly tripped.”

Nico’s head is suddenly yanked into place, forcing him to acknowledge Levi’s presence now. 

“Hold still.”

Levi’s face comes closer, examining the cut on his boyfriend’s forehead.

“Hm…”

“What?”

“This looks… weird.”

“How so?”

Levi takes a step back.

“It looks more like… you ran into a pretty sharp door.”

“I did not!”

Levi suppresses a laugh.

“Whatever you say, handsome.”

“I told you! I tripped! I was running into the ER, and there was blood, and I slipped, and maybe I hit my head or something.”

“Hey, it’s your story, not mine. I’m just here to make it all better.”

Levi moves in again to treat the cut and decides to tease his patient a little bit more. This is just too much fun. He cleans up the blood around the wound and the cut itself with a gauze. And then he gently blows on it.

“Hey!”

“What?”

“I don’t think that’s the right protocol for treating a cut!”

Levi smiles, leans in and shuts up Nico by kissing him gently but firmly on the lips. Before Nico can realize what’s happening, Levi stops the kiss.

“So… you’re gonna sue me?”

Nico gulps but before he can answer the curtain has been pulled aside and Alex appears.

“You done here, Schmitt?”

“Almost, sir. It’s just a small cut.”

“Thought so. I still don’t get how you managed to hit yourself with that kitchen drawer, Kim.”

“A drawer?”, Levi asks once their boss has left.

He doesn’t get an answer though. Nico pulls him closer and covers his face and lips with kisses.

“Let’s not talk about that anymore.”, Nico breathes out between kisses. “I’d rather you break protocol again.”

7. dancing together, one of them takes the other’s hand, kisses it

pt. 1

Levi was kinda glad their first dance was long over. Although they trained for it a lot, his two left feet had still worried him immensely. So instead of just going with the flow at the moment, he had been very focused on not stepping on his husband’s toes.

Levi loved referring to Nico as his husband. It was so new, and shiny and it made clear that Nico’s was his’. Now and forever. Levi’s husband.

They were already hours into the reception, with dinner already over, only leftovers to be found at the buffet. Some people already left, the rest was taking a break from dancing to chat with other guests or to get a new drink or snacks, so the dancefloor was almost swept by now.

Except for the newlyweds and a handful of other couples that were swaying to the tune of Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon.

Nico had his arms around Levi who leaded his forehead against Nico’s chin, smiling tiredly against the exposed skin of his neck. It’s been a long day for both of them and Levi was already exhausted. Exhausted, but over the moon happy. He closed his eyes for a moment, listening to the music as they softly swayed from left to right.

His eyes opened when Nico took his hand and lifted it up to his lips to press a soft kiss against it.  

“We can leave if you’re tired. I’m sure Link and Taryn will manage,” Nico suggested.

“Hmm.” Levi nodded slightly. “After this song.”

“Of course.”

prompt 89 for schmico please!

I really liked the idea of giving Nico some sort of silly fear, so this was fun. Also, fluff. There’s fluff. Are we surprised? I bolded the lines from the prompt. I hope you enjoy!

Levi Schmitt had been planting some tiger lilies in the garden of the new home he had just purchased with Nico Kim when an unexpected visitor made its way towards him. He was startled at first, but once he registered what it was, he grew an excited smile. Growing up, Levi was the type of kid that would collect worms whenever it rained (and he lived in Seattle. It always rained.) and catch frogs during days at the local pond. He loved the little creatures that were often overlooked, feeling some sort of kinship to them. Picking up his new friend, he ran into the house to show Nico his discovery.

“Hey, babe, look what I found.” Levi presented the creature to Nico with a wide smile on his face.

Nico turned to see what Levi was so excited about and immediately let out a little scream and jumped on a chair. “GET THAT OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW!!!”

“What? Why? He’s just a little guy.” Levi lightly stroked the garter snake’s small green head and was rewarded with it wrapping itself snugly around his hand.

“He’s a demon creature from hell and he will kill us all.” Nico insisted, still standing on the chair.

“Get down here, you big baby. This is a garter snake. It’s not going to hurt you at all. Look how sweet he is!” Levi thrust the snake’s face up towards Nico, who flinched away like he had been burned.

“Levi, I love you more than anything, but I will leave you if don’t get that thing out of here.” Nico’s voice was shaking slightly.

“Wait, you’re really scared? Like, genuinely afraid? Of this little thing?” Levi pulled the snake away and tried to hide it as best he could.

“He may be little, but he’s gonna kill me. How can you just casually hold death in your hand like that?” Nico cautiously stepped off the chair.

“Babe, are you afraid of snakes?” Levi tried to sound neutral, but a small laugh came out at the end of his question. The image of his big, strong boyfriend turning into a whimpering mess at the sight of a little green garter snake was sort of amusing.

Nico let out a shaky breath and ran his fingers through his hair. “Yeah. Kind of? I don’t know, I have been since I was a kid.”

Levi softened, “Any particular reason?”

“No, not really.” Nico shrugged. “I just saw one on TV once and it irked me. My sister used to find them all the time in our garden and chase me around with them. I guess it scarred me a bit?”

“One sec.” Levi ran back to the garden and deposited the snake in the soil, before rushing back into the house and barreling into Nico. “I’m sorry.” He mumbled into Nico’s chest.

“It’s okay, love.” Nico kissed the top of Levi’s head.

“I’m still learning about you. Even after all this time.” Levi smiled into his chest.

“I hate bread and butter pickles. I wanted to bleach my hair in college but never did. Sometimes, when I can’t sleep, I look at you, asleep next to me, and think about how incredibly, stupidly lucky I am.” Nico tilts Levi’s head up and gives him a long, lingering, loving kiss.

“I don’t really like cashews. I’ll eat them if I have to, but I’m not a big fan. I can surf. We used to visit my cousins in Laguna Beach and they taught me. I wonder everyday what I did to deserve someone as truly, amazingly wonderful as you.” Levi nuzzled into Nico’s shoulder.

“We’re gonna be learning new things about each other for the rest of our lives.” Nico beamed. “But please, for the love of all things you hold dear, no more snakes.” Levi laughed and nodded his promise.

OTP Drabble Challenge

since we're apparently getting valentine's day in ep 12 i was wondering if you could do a schmico drabble about their first valentine's day together. who is pulling out big romantic sappy gestures and who's just letting it happen but still grumbling about how valentine is a bogus "holliday" designed to make people spend their hard earned money?

I’m so excited for that episode! I hope we’ll get some nice festive scenes, or I’ll just have to make my own lmao

As for Valentine’s Day, for sure Nico is the one who comes to work with a single rose in his hand, which he slides into Levi’s locker so that he finds it when he opens it, along with a little box of chocolates because he knows that’s the best way to get to Levi’s heart

Levi is the one who, up until the actual day, does nothing but complain about it. He tells everybody who’ll listen how stupid of a festivity it is, that you should celebrate people everyday, that it’s all about money and not at all about love, and Taryn, Casey and Dahlia listen to him, but they also tease him relentlessly when Levi spends a good ten minutes just staring at the rose in his locker with the biggest smile on his face

So Levi decides that Valentine’s day is not such a bad thing, and that’s how he finds himself half naked in an on-call room, waiting for Nico to answer his page and join him. He’s wearing strawberry flavoured lip balm as his gift to Nico because he still doesn’t want to give into the capitalistic side of the day, but Nico loves it and he even asks to borrow it when they’re ~done~

Also Nico is the one who buys sexy underwear “just because” and Levi is the one who steals it from him and wears it ok thanks bye

schmico drabble - 57

this one was requested by someone on my instagram!!! again, could easily have been angst. decided against it.

57: "Just get home as soon as possible, okay?!"

"Just get home as soon as possible, okay?!"

The panicked tone of Levi's voice and the sudden way he hung up made a knot form deep in Nico's stomach. Something was clearly wrong and it made Nico's heart race. Had Levi done something which hurt him? Had someone broken in? Levi had given him no indication of what had happened, which only made Nico's anxiety sky rocket.

Levi had been unwell the past week, and as a result he'd been off work. Nico had been looking after him as best as he could in between work. The first two days of Levi being sick, he'd actually taken time off work to make sure that he was okay. After that, he couldn't afford to be off work any longer. Levi was a grown man that could look after himself.

Nico had been out at the store buying some more medicine for Levi and some little treats for him when Levi had called, completely frantic and obviously upset over something. He rushed to finish buying all the things he needed before he headed home, half-expecting Levi to be on the floor, having broken something. Levi was notoriously clumsy and would trip over air constantly.

He practically ran up the stairs to his apartment, struggling to get his keys out his pocket as he tried to unlock his front door. As soon as he got the door open, he placed the bag full of stuff down by his feet.

"Levi, babe? Where are you?" Nico called out, breathing elevated from having sprinted up the stairs in a state of panic.

"Bedroom!" Levi responded, voice muffled by the door. Nico let out a short sigh as he jogged over to the bedroom door, opening the door to reveal Levi stood on top of the bed, looking absolutely terrified. The whole situation suddenly made Nico feel completely confused as he raised a brow at Levi, wondering what the hell was going on.

"Levi, what the hell are you-"

"I swear to God I saw a mouse!" Levi interrupted his boyfriend, pointing to the floor, almost jogging on the spot as he spoke.

Nico was silent for a moment, staring at Levi with a look of absolute bewilderment. Then, he could no longer hold back his laughter. Levi had called him home, scaring the living daylights out of him, because of... a mouse?

"I thought you had hurt yourself!" Nico laughed, resting his hand over his stomach, shaking his head at Levi. Levi responded by jutting his bottom lip out in a pout, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I nearly did!" Levi whined. Nico eventually calmed down and made his way over to the edge of the bed, looking up at Levi who was still refusing to come down.

"Levi, it's a mouse. It can't hurt you and it's so much smaller than you. You genuinely terrified me, I really thought that you had hurt yourself."

"I know, I just- I freaked, okay?" Levi muttered, lifting his shoulders in a shrug.

Nico grinned up at Levi, completely and utterly in love with this dork he called his boyfriend. "You're funny. Just don't ever scare me like that again, alright?"

"Alright. I'm so sorry, Nico. I didn't mean to scare you."

"I know."

Levi finally jumped down from where he'd been stood on the bed, resting his hands on Nico's shoulders for support as he did.

"I got you some more medication and I got you some of your favourite treats. You better appreciate it," Nico joked, taking Levi by the hand as he lead him out of the bedroom. Levi hummed in response, giving Nico's hand a thankful squeeze.

"Of course I do. I love you."

"I love you, too."
