Kay’s Glee Episode Ranking: 82. Special Education
The Good, The Bad, the Ugly
So this is another episode where Will sucks as an educator. He only changes the Sectionals line up to impress Emma. The way he yells at Rachel, this is a precedent that he set. The way he distributes solos is the reason they're fighting anyway. An audition process would have eliminated these problems. Speaking of auditions, we have Kurt's Warblers audition and the birth of Niff, a ship that fandom made up and the actors ran with it. It was cute at first, but then I got sick of it. The Hummelberry friendship is at it's infancy and Kurt goes to Rachel for advice for his Warblers audition. And personally, I think she gives him bad advice, but more on that later.
Favorite Performance:
This was tough, because I love Valerie and Hey Soul sister. The only reason the Warblers win it is Darren's facial expressions. So gangsta, so thug.

Least Favorite performance: I love Sam, but whenever he sings with Quinn, I fall asleep

Quotes:
Kurt:You are as brilliant and talented as you are irritating.
Artie:Is the problem your outfit? You look like a cheerleader zombie corpse.
Rachel: Have you been working out? Your arms seem bigger.
Puck: It's the steroids.
Puck: All I can say is that I didn't steal that soda machine, and if I did, I didn't do it alone.
Brittany: I know I'm more talented than all of you. Britney Spears taught me that.
Meta Moment: So this is where I explain why I never bought Kurt (or Blaine) boarding at Dalton. I mean, first, I'm from a city where people commuting for two hours a day to get from their shitty part of town to the nice part of town for work or school is the norm. I grew up sitting on the 405 to get to and from Inglewood/Hawthorne to my school in West LA. I know people that commute way further everyday. Second, a lot of people used the line about not seeing Finn literally. I always assumed it was used figuratively. Kurt and Finn are on different schedules, if Kurt is staying at Dalton for Warbler rehearsals then hanging out with Blaine and Finn has Glee and football, it's not hard to imagine them missing each other most days. Also, Warm Milk Lady chats. They aren't skyping. Lol. Anyway, that's why I think Kurt did not board. Maybe next time I'll discuss why I think Blaine is from Lima.
