One summer day’s tale of a boy and girl. With the help of an orb Nazuna finds in the ocean, she and fellow student Norimichi get the chance to redo some things, basically an adolescent Groundhogs Day. with the help of the orb. I thought the animation was so pretty, but the story was a bit garbled for me? I watched this one because someone said it was one of the worst, if not the worst, film/s they’d ever seen, I may have to go try and find the 50 min live action tv movie it was based on and see if I’d understand either any better. I’m not sure if Nazuna was actually being abused, or it was just implied she was, which is sad and isolating - kind of like the train they ended up on again and again, having to hide from her parents and his friends. And that story she tells about her parents/mother…😔(was the idol her mother listened to Princess Peach though?) I was never clear Why the shape of the fireworks mattered SO much, how there were different “timelines” or “worlds” (how were we as the audience s’posed to know that?), or how they (along with the city) got to be Inside the lighthouse at the end? Throughout the movie the orb seemed to change size, as did the train (and it was driving itself at one point?).
