As an classic Fire Emblem (Famicom, Super Famicom, GBA era) fan, I'm happy Fates and Awakening (well more so the fans of those games) saved the series from death. While I am not a fan of the modern otaku elements of Fates and Awakening (lets be real both games got fucking issues), I do understand that Nintendo designed both games to market to the current FE fan demographic. If Nintendo would had designed those games in the matter of say Shadow Dragon or Genealogy of the Holy War, I'm doubtful the series would had continue forward. Awakening and Fate's success lead to the creation of Fire Emblem Echoes; a remake of Fire Emblem 2: Gaiden. Echoes has the classic Fire Emblem play style I'm a fan of. Plus, there are many current era fans who enjoy FE Echoes, so that gives me hope that the new school fans will enjoy the older games and explore them. If you're a classic Fire Emblem fan who still bitter that Awakening and Fates is more popular compared to the older games get over yourself and stop fucking crying. You may care about your crybaby ass emotions but the sale figures of Awakening and Fates and the money that Nintendo got from those games don't care about them. something dumb i’m realizing is what this stupid tumblr has become now that i have a queue that’s almost a year long is just how much this blog has become like

one part dumb meme shit (which has become surprisingly less prevalent than it was before. am i out of touch with the memes???)

No it is not, and it cant be Anri (or Marth, which is something else I’ve seen a lot of people think) because the First Exalt fought Grima and Anri/Marth fought Medeus, and Medeus and Grima are completely unrelated. There used to be some theories about Grima being connected to Medeus or the Earth Dragons in some way or another but Echoes has put all that to rest.  Also the First Exalt is where the Mark of the Exalt enters the lineage because he was blessed by Naga, not just given the Falchion like Anri was.  If Anri was the First Exalt then Marth would have a brand and he does not.
