Tw: Mentions of war, skypeople mentioned, fire, blood, mentions of na’vi sacrifices, mentions of cannibalism, the clan isn’t very friendly at first, mentions of death, Neteyam isn’t dead, mentions of titties out and about.
Author’s note: I didn’t know how to start with this, sorry if it feels rushed, I just didn’t know how to begin the story. I also used a translator for Yucaten, I’m sure if its accurate sentences, so don’t take it seriously. I tried to fit in things that you guys had commenting. This time for the songs, I’m not sure what kind of music I’ll be adding, I might add Korn or Rammstein . I am also trying to make this parts as long as possible, to give you guys more to read because, I feel as if I’m not writing enough. I hope you like the first part, leave a comment, I’d like to hear some feedback.
P.s. Don’t worry, I’m still working on Fish Girl. Also thank you to everyone who has helped me! I really appreciate it. :)

A year has passed since the war, many had suffered the consequences. Now no one knew for sure if a war will happen again. So both Tonowari and Jakesully had had a discussion on forming an alliance with other clan. “It is our best option, we can’t risk this happening again, who knows if they’ll be back” Jake told the chief who was thinking, he knew of a clan that lived in the South but he wasn’t sure if they should seek for their help.
“I know of a clan, they live in the South, but I must warn you, they’re not the friendliest” Tonowari told the other na’vi. Ronal then spoke “They’re also a female dominated clan, it would be best that I or Neytiri go to negotiate.” she said as she held her months old child close to her. “We have to at least try, if not them, we’ll try another one.” Jake said “Alright, we shall seek for their help, or like you said, we should at least try. It was settled then, both the male will try and negotiate with the clan from the South.
The next week, Ronal along with Ao’nung, Neteyam and Neytiri were on their way to the South, they thought it would be safe that they only took their eldest in case of anything. Neither Ronal and Neytiri wanted to leave but it was for the safety of their people.
They had said their goodbyes to their families before leaving on their ilus and Neytiri on her Banshee, still sadden that they had to leave for who knows how long. The trip took a total of almost two weeks, the south was very far, until finally they got to the South. They arrived at an island with a huge volcano in the middle of the island. Once they got off their ilus they group began to walk into the jungle in search of the clan. They had their weapons in case of anything.
They had been walking for what felt hours, tired from their week long trip. Hoping to find the village soon. Until they had come across noises, the group got close towards the noise. Then they saw a group of women, this woman were different, they had pale white skin instead of blue, instead of stripped markings they had slightly darker dotted patterns, their eyes looked an amber or red color, and their hair was also a pale color. They were na’vi for sure, they also had different attire, some had their whole body covered while others displayed their chest out with no coverings of any kind.
The group didn’t know how to approach them “How do we approach them?” Neteyam asked his mother who seemed to be thinking. “I’m not sure, should we make our selves present first” Neytiri suggested as Neteyam spoke “that’s the safest option, is best that we show them peace since we don’t know what they’re capable off” he said, all agreeing.
Neytiri was the first one to step out, making the women stare at her, they looked at her with curiosity then they got their weapons and held them up, some even hissing at them if they stared a bit too much, they noticed their fangs were slightly longer and sharper, along with their finger nails, their nails were longer and sharper too. “I’m sorry to interrupt but, we ask you to take us to your leader” she said as now Ronal, Neteyam and Ao’nung stepped out. The woman had them surrounded, looking at them and seeing their different features. Both Neteyam and Ao’nung greeted them with the gesture of ‘I see you’. “Where are they from?” “What kind of Na’vi are they?” they asked among each other.
One of the women, wearing only a skirt that was wrapped around her waist and went down to her calf came close. She didn’t have anything that covered her chest, she had blue and black paint on her face and chest, her hair was laying on her back. Neytiri was looking at her face, not wanting to show any kind of disrespect. “You wish to speak to our ahaw ?” she asked as Neytiri nodded. “Yes, we wish to speak to them” she said then the woman nodded and signaled them to follow her. As the group walked the woman followed.
They walked for a little while until they got to their village, the village was bigger than they expected. Their was small houses everywhere, a small river in the middle in which boats were, most of the villagers their were women, children, and a few men, they had never seen such a place. The woman guided group towards a large stair case, into a platform. A small crowed formed around them, they looked just the women, they had pale skin and amber or red eyes. They looked at them, mumbling towards one another, the children near by looked amazed by the small group.
The woman stopped in the middle of the steps, then asked for someone to go get their ahaw, the group remained surrounded by the woman who lead them into the village, mean while the villagers that had surrounded them were trying to get a better look. “Who are they?” “Are they from the forest?”” “Why are their tales that way?” That’s what they heard until they saw three figures coming down what seemed a pyramid like building with a bunch of stairs, one of a older woman and two other figures following.
The older woman was wearing a dress that went from her chest to her ankles, the colors were of both red and orange. She had on white paint on her chest and arms with red lines on her hands and red surrounding her forehead to jawline. She wore what seemed to be a jade beaded web like neckless that went from her neck and down her shoulders. She also has a huge nose ring, big earrings, and lastly she wore a large feathered headdress, the feathers were the colors same colors as her attire.
“Nicté, they requested your presence” the woman from before said then the woman who they assumed is the ahaw. “I see you” the woman did the gesture and they repeated it. “What is it that you seek? Why did has the forest and water na’vi come here?” she asked, making the crowd mumble amoung themselves, as Neytiri spoke. “We came to as for an Alliance with you.” she said, then Nicté smirked and laughed, others laughing with her. “You, Naytiri, have come to ask for help? Why is that? Has your mate been causing more trouble I assume?” she asked looking at the other na’vi. “The sky people, they might return at any time but we aren’t so sure when, we want to be prepared and we wish for your help.” She said making the ahaw to speak.
“And why should we help you? Wasn’t your mate  Toruk Makto?” She asked looking at Neytiri. This time it was Ronal who spoke. “Yes, he was, but we still need your help, the sky people may come back, and stronger than before, if we don’t do anything, they will take our home.” She said, now pleading. “Hm, I see, well if you want our help, you must learn like us. You must evolve like us, fight like us, ride like us, and learn the ways of fire and ash.” Nicté said giving her a closer look.
“We will, we will learn your ways” Ronal spoke, as the woman then had moment of thought. “Very well, y/n, Yolotli” she called out for two people, two younger na’vi came close. The na’vi looked just like their mother, but their eyes were a deep red. They wore a top that seamed to be made out of bones and beads that fitted their chest perfectly. For the bottom they wore a skirt made out of red feathers, leather with jade on the front of the leathers, the waist band had larger pieces of jade with some bones hanging onto down. They also had their calf and feet wrapped in dark leather. They also wore a jade neckless around their neck, they also had large jade earrings on both ears, a nose piece that was placed on the bridge of their nose, and four strings with jade beads that were on both nostrils of their. They also had some kind of painted markings on their face, and finally a similar crown like headpiece adorned with red feathers. Their hair wasn’t too long or short, it landed on her shoulder blades, and the ends were what seemed to be dyed a deep red.
The girl next to y/n, had eyes just like their sibling, she wore a brown leather top with tassels on the sides, with green colored beads that hanged on the bottom. She had on a black beaded hip scarf, she wore big jade earrings, her bottom lip was pierced with a small jade cylinder, on her brows she also had on two sets of jade jewelry, two strings of jade beaded strings on both her nostrils and her neck was adorned with loads of different sized jade necklaces. Her hair was down and long, it reached her mid back, she also had her ends colored red and she had the same face markings painted on her face. She didn’t have a headdress like her mother and y/n. She gave them a toothy smile “I see you” she said using the greeting gesture.
“This are my twins, y/n and Yolotli,  they will be ones to teach your children”  Nicté said as the oldest na’vi spoke “ Ba'ale' na', Ba'axten K'a'abet in -” but mother why do I have to- they were cut off by their mother “ Mak a chi'ex, u jala'ach wíinik t'aan, teech k'a'abéet a ka'ansik ti' leti'ob, lelo' definitivo.” silence, the chief speaks, you are to teach them, that is final she said. Y/n rolled her eyes and hissed in anger, clearly frustrated by this, it was clear that she didn’t want that duty. “Y/n please take our guest and give them a home, they must be exhausted from their trip” Nicté told her child, y/n nodded and motioned them to follow them.
Y/n was guiding the group into the village, some villager kept eyeing them as the group walked down the path. The group noticed kids running around with torches lit with fire, some even had fire in their small hands, showing it off to who they assumed was their parents. Some villagers were giving them some nasty looks, as if they didn’t want them here for being different from them. Finally they got to their small home, y/n walked over to the small entrance of the home. It was big enough to fit four na’vi. “This will be were you’ll be staying” they said as the group walked in looking at the home. “If you do not like it, then you can leave” y/n said with an attitude and clearly angry, they reminded Neytiri of herself when she first met Jake. “No, its great, thank you very much” Neytiri said turning to the small party, y/n left them to get settled in.
After all of them had their rest, a girl known as Yolotli walked in holding a basket of what they assumed was food, y/n walked in after her with a big plate. “Good evening, I’ve brought you something to eat” she said as she placed the food on the table. She said as Ronal asked her. “You’re their sister?” she asked as Yolotli nodded. “Yes, well I hope you enjoy the food” she said with a smile and left. She had brought enough food for the four of them. They each got their own portion and ate, Yolotli had brought them corn, squash, some fruit and something called tamales, they were very spicy but everything was eaten, they had not eaten properly the whole week, only eating raw fish.
“Tomorrow we’ll begin, get some sleep” y/n said as they got up and walked out of their home. Yolotli also got up from her spot “sorry about them” she said giving them an apologetic smile at the four. “I’ll see you all in the morning, I hope you all have a good sleep.” She said sweetly and left behind their sibling.
“I’m surprised that we’re alive, y/n looked like they wanted to skin us alive” Neteyam said as he laid on a hammock, still a bit shaken up by y/n. Ao’nung then spoke “yeah, I though the whole clan was going to kill us, they seemed... very intimidating” he admitted. Ronal then got their attention “here is what we’ll do, we will not cause any kind of trouble, we don’t know what they are capable of, we already have their help and we don’t want to loose it, and I doubt that any of you would want to be there next sacrifice.” She said to all them. They all nodded. Neytiri spoke again “Alright, go to bed” he said as they all laid down in their hammock.
Back at y/ns home, they were getting ready for bed, they had taken off their headdress, jewelry to sleep comfortably, they laid down on a cot next to Yolotli’s. Their sister was already laying down, ready to fall asleep. “y/n?” Yolotli said towards them “what is it?” they said closing their eyes. “What are your thoughts on them?” she asked as their sibling responded “I think they won’t make it, I doubt they’ll be able to master fire, they’ll be like babies learning how to walk” they said as Yolotli spoke again. “Give them a chance, I’m sure they can do it” she said as y/n just nodded, already dozing off. “Yeah, yeah whatever” they said as Yolotli got comfortable on her cot. “ Ma'alo'ob áak'ab” Goodnight she said to y/n who was already in deep slumber.
That morning, y/n and Yolotli came back to see how they were doing, they had brought them food like yesterday, but this time they had also brought some kind of stew. It was called menudo it was made out of Tarpirus stomach, again it was spicy, but very good. Yolotli seemed very nice while y/n didn’t seam to like being told what do you. It was clear when their mother told them to. They all sat down and Yolotli was talking about stuff that they did.
It was very different than what they did. They were also a very isolated clan, they did not like to be bothered by other clans, so they decided to move into South to stay away from every other clan. It was also obvious that it was female dominated clan, they did have males but the women were the ones in charge. When it came to children, majority of the time it were females that were born more than the males.
Every harvest they would na’vi sacrifices as a way to give back to Eywa who had given them a lot, so as a way to give back to the great mother, they gave back with blood. Sometimes they’d even eat the sacrifice as a way to nourish Eywa and seek guidance. Some sacrifices involved being thrown into the volcano or their hearts being taken out publicly, the practice seemed terrifying, but they saw this as an honorable way to go to Eywa. They had creatures called a  Nì’awve, which meant Fire, and the being is able to swim with its ridder in the lava of the volcano. When a bond was made with the creature, one could not burn with fire, but with lava, when it came to an amount of time being in the lava, then they’ll burn. They also spoke another tongue besides Na’vi, they spoke something called Yucatec, it was their own kind of language no other na’vi but them knew.
They also practice something called Polyamory, it was when one na’vi had more than one mate, didn’t matter if they either male or female, it was considered normal here. Yolotli had mentioned that Nicté has a female mate, if she wanted, she could have another or even more.
When they questioned about the twins birth, Yolotli had mentioned that their mothers had given Eywa a life, a sacrifice, in return, so that one of the females could carry a life of her own, but Eywa had been so generous to the Tsahìk and her mate, gifting them two lives in each of their womb at the same time, creating twins. Y/n being born first, and Yolotli second.
They had learned that Y/n will be the next Tsahìk, due to being the oldest, they had more responsibility than Yolotli. They were the opposite, they were like the sun and moon. Y/n being the sun showing firmness, strength and power, and Yolotli being the moon showing calmness, beauty, and nurturing. It made even more since that they were twins.
“Now that you all know some history, this is where the fun begins” y/n said with a smirk on their face, showing them her sharp fangs, that smirk was of one of mischief and pure chaos. Both Neteyam and Ao’nung looked at each other a bit worried. “If anything happens to me, tell my family I love them” he whispered to Ao’nung who responded. “Same here” he said giving y/n and Yolotli a nervous smile.  Yolotli only smiled at them in the most kindess way possible. “I’ll be good fun though” she said, seeing the nervous expression the males faces.

Some ideas I've been thinking about about Avatar the Way of Water and Avatar by itself
Are there Na'vis who are from the deep seas of Pandora?
I was thinking about making a Na'vi (avatar), with tulkum DNA, but I don't know.
Is there a creature that resembles a leviathan in the Avatar universe?
Hmmm, are there also sea creatures that resemble: Octopus, Shrimps, fast fish, and also colossal squid...
Imagine how big a Na'vi tulkum would be? They would be huge (in my headcanon, they would be 305cm
And if I made a tribe of marine avatars, in which they had abilities of each marine creature... I just don't know which creature (the hybrid part) of him would be.
Does the Ash tribe have an animal that swims (or walks) on volcanic rocks?
Does obsidian stone exist and is it used in the Avatar universe? (Mainly in confectionery and weaponry) (I support the idea of @sullyfortress )
Will Varang be tall? (I would love for Varang to be like, giant height, being 277cm, she would be my tall waifu XD, although every female Na'vi is tall XD)
Will Spider have more connection with Eywa and will Neytiri accept him?
Would it be "bizarre" to make an Avatar (Na'vi) leviathan hybrid, who has more attributes enhanced than about 10 adult Na'vis (men)
Would it be weird or cool, an android Na'vi? :0
(a bit of a silly idea, but imagine a Na'vi robot, in the middle of the tribes, just gathering information, and then the humans BOOM, come and attack)
Would it be strange to mix DNA from terrestrial animals with DNA from Na'vis (Avatars)? I think maybe I'll do that(It's a bit of a "furry" idea, but I don't know, technically it would be cool, I will definitely mix Na'vis Avatar DNA with Big Cat DNA because I want too)
Okay but... Imagine "Super Soldier" Avatars (with DNA from some creatures, for example: Na'vi with snake DNA, making them see in thermals, and other animals... Wow....)
Maybe (just my idea) make one Avatar(with Na'vi DNA of course), with the DNA of a big cat (I'll still decide which one it will be), but think about it, think of a Na'vi, with the DNA of a jaglion for example, a black jaglion, having the strength, speed, agility and camouflage of that feline... WOOOOOW :O

I saw your post about the Na'vi who live near volcanoes! (I loved it so much!) What examples do you have of their clothing? And what rites of passage do they have since making a bond with animals isn't a normal occurrence?
Anon, thank you so much!! I have the day off so I spent the afternoon doodling ideas for the Txepiva, half of them not even what you asked for lol
Here's the full sheet, which you can see in full size by opening in a new page.
Tumblr media
Clothes :
Let's say they are mostly pastoralist nomads. They have an animal, an omnivorous creature that lives in small flocks of 20-30 members. They have a scaly/platted back and tail, but also tufts of heat resistant fibers close to a wool, just not nearly as compact. It's designed to keep them cool around the neck and chest.
Txepiva task young children with herding the flocks, making tsaheylu and often riding the flock's leading animal, leading them all by directing the one. They are used for meat, but also for their fibers, which are made into protective veils, as heat reflective as anything Na'vi can produce.
Tumblr media
This made me think about masks (made of bone or worked leather) that would use glass lenses and veils made of that material to get extra close to lava. A Pandoran take on the protective suits we wear on earth.
I have had to honour of getting very close to a lava flow, and my experience is that when you're 20m away from it, it feels as hot and oppressive as when you're 1m away from a raging bonfire. If they need to get close, extra protection would help.
Masks could also have simple slits, though idk how much protection that would offer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And since they can weave heat resistant fabric, but not everyone would get close to lava, you could also have more casual but still protective gear, mimicking Tuareg and other desert dwelling headgears and scarves. You could wrap the queue (tswin) inside of it and have it hidden from view. My adult Txepiva who aren't young herders or hunters have little use of their tswin outside of mating.
Tumblr media
They would have access to a lot of precious stones. A lot of jewelry would be crafted there and be part of their main exports to other clans, alongside glass objects. Vials and glass rings would be particularly popular, as well as beads.
They'd import a lot of dyes and dried plant material in exchange. The one thing that is taboo for other clans though is metal.
That doesn't stop the Txepiva from using it for themselves, in earrings, worked plates, kuru clasps, brooches, etc. Copper is particularly easy to obtain around volcanic faults.
The other stone of choice is obsidian. I tried to give her white paint under her eyes instead of the black one I did on my original design.
Tumblr media
But at the end of the day one of the most used materials in the clan is Bone. All warriors and scouts wear chains of vertebrae over their tswin. It's to prevent being easily killed by the queue being grasped and severed at the base.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The war chief, leader who takes charge of the clan whenever they face conflict or are readying an assault on another clan, tends to wear more flashy gear. This one collected vertebraes with a long neural spine :
Tumblr media
The tswin and its bones are tied to his waist so they don't sway or get in his way. It's mostly ceremonial gear, I don't think he'd bedeck himself like this for war.
Didn't draw any shoes, but the Txepiva are occasional users of the stuff, especially on active volcanic plains.
Rites of Passage :
Not everyone is a warrior, so I assume they'd have different rites for different people.
Those who are warriors might be tasked to prepare their own kit to go on a quest of some sort. A raid to steal an animal, or to go deep into active lava flows to collect precious materials and prove themselves.
Or they might be cast out altogether for a whole year or more, young people forming roving bands from different clans who have to get along and conjoin their skills to survive. That feels a little extreme, though I've explored the idea of the ash people having a yearly meeting where most clans peacefully get together and trade, party, bang, and mate across clans to, you know, clean up that gene pool.
It being the moment roving bands return and have a ceremony accepting them as adults and able to join a mate and a new clan would be great. Another group of youth could be cast out at the end of that meeting, only to return in a year.
That has the advantage that it could include people whose main skill isn't hunting or killing, as they'd be just as valuable for a band's survival.
But otherwise I enjoy the idea of yuong people building a 'dowry' for themselves. It's not about mating at all, but to showcase their skills for the great meeting. Elders of all clans gather and inspect the ivory carvings, dyed weaved scarves, worked stones and jewels, or even the smithed blades and copper beads produced by this youth who claims to be an adult. They might prepare a single enormous project, or present a collection of wares.
If approved, then they would receive presents prepared for them by their friends and family ahead of time in a ceremony welcoming them as adults, and they'd be allowed to go trade all their hard work.
And that gathering place definitely has a fun-time tent for adults but also a massive complex of hot springs. It's a sacred place with a lot of growing soul trees where killing or fighting is completely forbidden.
You have to leave your clan's baggage at the metaphorical door.
They'd also have sport competitions and friendly matches, as well as conflict resolution.
OK going to shut up now because I think I could go on a little too long!!

Return to Pandora Enemies to Lovers
A James Cameron fanfiction for @recom-week event Return to Pandora prompt Enemies to Lovers featuring a new Mangkwan oc Itza'ro and a RDA Avatar whose are based on some of my original characters.
Maggie begins to open her eyes as the RDA agent soon find her Avatar body bond to a pole and Maggie try to break out, but her hands are tied good. Looking around, Maggie see that she is in some kind of hut and her memories start to recall how General Ardmore send Maggie out in the field to check out some kind of volcano area to get the laydown of the area along with finding any survivors of the missing SeaDragon. In a Avatar body, Maggie would go undercover and she and her superiors made a false story of her being a Omatikaya Na'vi whose were fleeing the RDA recaptured of Hell's Gate and Maggie noticed that her Avatar's body have her face along with black hair instead of her blond hair along with the common Na'vi body parts. Just as Maggie's aircraft soon come to the area, a sudden storm cause them to clash and Maggie remember before she blacked out of being surrounded by gray blue Na'vi warriors with weapons pointing at them.
Maggie wonder about her fate as a prisoner of war just as a gray blue male Na'vi in crimson war paint on his bare chest and face come in and he ask Maggie in the Na'vi language, "You come from a strange bird, so my tribe know that you are not any of the people outside our land. Do you understand me?" and Maggie reply in her best attempt, "Yes. I can understand you and I speak some of your language. My name is Maggie Houndram, a scout for the Sky People." The Na'vi man said to Maggie, "My name is Itza'ro, a warrior of my clan the Mangkwan. My Olo'eykte Varang has tasked me to oversee you during your stay on our lands, unless you wish for death." and Maggie quickly reply, "No, no, no. I'm good. I guess I can still tied up here." Itza'ro start to untie Maggie as he said to her, "I did it because I don't trust you." and Maggie think to herself, 'What a ass.'
Maggie is brought to the leader of the Mangkwan clan by Itza'ro and Maggie see that the leader is a powerful looking Na'vi woman wearing a red headdress and scarlet leather for a top whose then speak, "So, you are one of the sky people. My name is Olo'eykte Varang, and I lead the Mangkwan Clan. Why are you here?" and Maggie answer, "My name is Maggie Houndram, a scout for the Sky People. I came because I'm looking for missing friends. They are men, but they should have some similarly to me." Varang said, "Yes. We did find a few of these men and they offer to help us battle the one whose calm to be a servant of Eywa." and Maggie begins to connect the dots and said, "You means Jack Sulley. He is a traitor to our people, and if we work together...." only for Varang to laugh, "Forgive me, scout, but I have read tales that you Sky People only care to take, not help. If our forces managed to take down the fake, your people would turn on us." Maggie cannot help but feel that Varang is real as the Olo'eykte said with a smile, "Your face tell you that I'm real. While I would order your death for trying to make us slaves, I want to understand our enemies more and I could sense there is a warrior spirit inside you. That was why you lived so far." Varang than call for Itza'ro, "Itza'ro Te Aeieyr Ngeyawep." and Itza'ro come forward at the calling of his name as Varang said to Itza'ro, "You will train this woman as best you can. If you feel she has failed, I give you permission to end her." and Itza'ro nod and said, "Understood, Olo'eykte." As Itza'ro take her away from the hut, Maggie knew that she is deep trouble now and she hope her Avatar body can help her survive this.
When Maggie and Itza'ro arrival at his hut, a little Na'vi girl run up to Itza'ro and cry out, "Tsmukan!" and Itza'ro happily lift her up and said to her, "How are you, my Tsmuke?" Maggie is confused at first before Itza'ro said to her, "This is my sister Fierama. You better not do anything bad to her while you are our guest for now." and then said to his sister, "Fierama, this woman is our guest Magg'e Te Hou'drm." and Maggie shhout at Itza'ro, "Hey, you got my name wrong!"
Over the course of weeks, Maggie has undergo hard trials such as climbing the rocky hills, trying to hunt, and calming a Ikran of her own under the watch of Itza'ro. At least Maggie befriended Fierama and she start to noticed some kind of soft side to Itza'ro. One day, during a climbing trial, Maggie almost fall, only to get catched by Itza'ro whose bring her to his hut and lay her down to rest. As Itza'ro start to leave, Maggie said to Itza'ro, "I'm sorry.... I'm sorry I'm a failure. I wish I could have done better like my brother as my father wanted, but I'm not good enough." and Itza'ro said to Maggie, "No, you were a warrior because you didn't give up until your body give in. You are a beautiful warrior, Magg'e." Maggie ask Itza'ro, "Can you call me by my full name?" which Itza'ro reply, "Well, I don't want my mate to stand off with her strange name. Beside, the name I give you was the best I could come up with." and Maggie was stunned and ask, "Your mate?!?" and Itza'ro said, "Only if you wanted to." and the two then kiss.

Na'vi! Jake Sully! x Fire! Na'vi! Fem! Reader/Oc!
Warnings: Not proof read.
synopsis : Jake Sully had been living with the omaticayas as one of them for quite a couple years now, and after learning the forest, the creatures off by heart, he finds something new.
Tumblr media
Jake watched his best friend, Neytiri, marry the man of her dreams with a smile on his face. He knew her and Tsu'Tey would make womderful leaders for the clan. He had been a Omaticaya for the last three years now, and it has been the best time of his life. He could walk, run, he was free. He new knew this forest like the back of his hand, and the creatures like the back of his five fingered hand.
However, it was then he almost felt something watching. He turned to look over his shoulder, and his eyes widened slightly at a shadow like figure quickly moving out of sight. All he saw was a flash of.. red? Though it didn't look like an animal, more.. a na'vi. He got too curious and decided to follow it, the important part of the ceremony was over now, so he could come back for the after celebration.
He ran after the figure, using his senses and soon heard a.. Thanator? He approching quickly but quietly, and peeked around a tree, a gasp excaping his lips at the sight. There stood a red na'vi woman. She was a light red colour with darker red markings, and blacl paint around her eyes, a few stripes on her arms, and thighs, and ankles. She wore silver jewlery, two silver rings in each ear, a silver necklace, and a silver chain around her waist.
She wore black clothes over her breasts with no straps, then a black ripped mini like skirt covering her low regions. The thanator had red paint over his black body, and he found it interesting how she connected with him, and got onto its back. "She connected with a Thanator..?" He mumbled, but then saw her ears twitch and she looked right at him. Her eyes were a firey orange, blazing into his soul, darker than an Omaticaya.
"Uhh.. hi?" He spoke, and she quickly sped off woth the Thanator. "He-hey! Wait!" He ran after them, but soon had to call on his ikran, amd chased them. He landed infront of her, and his ikran roared, causing the Thanator to roar back and she hissed at him. "Hey, hey. I'm not threat." He said in thena'vi language, and she tilted her head when she saw his extra finger. "Demon.." the red girl spoke and he blinked a few times. "Excuse me?" He asked and she hissed loudly again.
She pulled out an axe like weapon, and Jake flinched, and gulped. "Wait, wait.. I am Na'vi. I promise, I am Na'vi." he said gently, and she tilted her head. "You omaticaya?" she asked and he nodded, "Yes, I am apart of that clan. I was sky person, now I am na'vi. I adapted." He said to her and she seemed to think for a moment, then slowly lowered her weapon and spoke english. "I sorry.. I no used too... this?" She spoke, her english was broken, but not bad, honestly.
"What.. what kind of Na'vi are you?" He asked her and she looked down for a moment, then back at him. "You people know I people as people of ash. Ash People." The woman replied and he slowly got off his Ikran, and she swung herself off of her Thanator and approched him. Before he could blink, she took ahold of his hand, inspecting it intensley with those sharp orbs. Her eyes were like slits, and the pupils so.. diamond like. Beautiful.
"My name is Jake.. you?" He asked, and she looked up at him. "Zuru'iki." He repeated the name in his mind, smiling slightly and feeling his heart pound slightly harder as she ran her fingers over the lines on his palm, and his extra finger. "You strange." She said, her voice was slightly deeper than Neytiri's, but gentle. "You are strange aswell.." he replied, looking at her hair that was half shaved, long and straight. No beads, no braids, no feathers.
However, she did have silver jewles around the her head, held up by her ears. On the middle of her head, between her eyes, but a bit higher but a silver cross shape, with ingraved markings covering it. She was stunning. Gorgouse. Outstanding. Every word the male could think of. "Zuru'iki.. where do you come from?" He asked, being curious. Neytiri never mention ash people before, and especially not red skinned na'vi folk.
She let go of his hand and pointed to three moutains, one huge one in the middle, and two smaller ones slightly infront of it. "There I home. There me clan." She said, and he nodded slowly, "may.. I go there?" He asked, an urge to learn of these new na'vi's. She shoom her head, "You omaticaya. You clan not happy you come." He took him a second to understand her, but spon caught on and sighed. "Then.. may I talk with you about it. We could find a place to sit?" He offered. "I would.. honestly, like to get to know you." He said.
She thought about it, and looked bacl at her thanator with a quesrioning expression, and the beast made a noise, seeming to shrug. She turned back to him and nodded. "We sit there." The girl pointed to a floating moutain, and he wondered howshe would get up there without an Ikran, but shrugged and nodded. "Alright, want a lift?" he offered, but she shook her head and we over to her companion.
He got on his Ikran and flew up into the aor, watching as her thanator ran through the trees, then stopped at the edge, looking up at the floating moutain. Suddenly the thanator walked away and Jake stopped Bob, the Ikran in mid air, wondering if she decided to leave, bit suddenly they came running back, and the thanator leapt off of the edge, and almost flew across the gap upwards, until landing on the floating moutain. "Whoa..". Jake flew over and got off thecreature again, detatching his braid and going over to her who also detatched her from from her beast. "That was amazing."
They sat down together and while Jake crossed his legs, she dangled hers over the edge, his Ikran sat on a ledge behind them and her Thanator curled up next to her. "So.. what do they meant by 'Ash people'?" He asked and she looked over, then pointed to the tallest moutain. "Watch." She spoke and after a couple minutes, as he was about to ask what he was looking for, the moutain, which turned out to be a valcano splurted out lava. "Most na'vi die near.. but we touch and be fine." She explained. "We fire na'vi. We one with fire." She explained and he gave a surprised expression.
"Why choose na'vi?" She asked, they had been talking for over an hour now, night slowly falling. Jake didn't mean too, but he slightly forgot the celebration, he didn't want this to end. Talking with her. "I betrayed my race because we were in the wrong. I fell in love with the forest, with the animals , and with the people." He said and she nodded slowly. "You betray sky people.. brave." Zuru'iki praised.
Her use of english made him chuckle every so often, the way she would forget to add words, or pronounce words wrong. The only sentence she could truely say propperly was, 'I see you' and he only knew that because she spoke to her thanator. "I see you, Omopaoni." She said, and he almost purred, nuzzling her. "Omopaoni? Thats a neat name. Did you pick it?" He asked and she shook her head. "He born it. He tell me when bonded." She replied and he made an 'ooo' expression. "You can understand them?".
"We understand Thanator. Thanator understand us. We one Thanantor." She explained and he understood, it reminded him of some of the other clans, how one clan were only horse riders, and another bonded only with Ikrans. These ones bonded with Thanators. Jake found that brilliant, considering one chased him the first time he came to the forest and how Neytiri explained that they did not like na'vi.
The night became darker and darker, and the little white dots on both their faces illuminated, aswell as the plants around them. It was then he noticed the orange flame like glow in the middle of the three moutains, and wondered how he never noticed it before. Why only now was he discovering this new side of na'vi. "Why dont you and the omaticayas get along?" He asked, "and also, why are you here?".
"In old time, ash and forest fight over land. Ash want fire, forest want tree. Soon, ash murder many forest, making ash outcast na'vi." She explained and he nodded slowly, understanding. "I here, i sent here by olo'eyktan, see." She said, now that he didn't understand, but decided not to ask further, but then she answered for him. "Olo'eyktan curious omaticaya." She explained and he nodded, noe he understood.
"I get back, dark." She spoke and Jake felt that he did not want her to go, he wanted to keep talking to her. More than he wanted to talk to Neytiri when they first met. "Wi-will I see you again..?" He asked her as she got onto her thanator, then looked at him. "Do wish too?". He nodded frantically, "I-I really like talking to you. Could we.. meet here again?" He asked and she nodded. "We can. Tomorrow, Jake Sully." With that, her Thanator jumped roght off the floating rock and he gasped, running to the edge and watxhing as they handed on a tree branch, then too the floor, heading towards the moutains.
"Wow.." he said, a sicky feeling in his stomach, but it was an addictive feelings, like little wings fluttering. Like anxiety, but he wasn't in panic or fear. "Until tomorrow, Zuru'iki..".
____
Jake Sully woke up extra early, getting on his Ikran and flying to the floating rock. He didn't care if it would be hours before seeing her, he'd been up all night awaiting day break. Bow sat on the rock, he looked out at the three moutains, longing just to see her red face with black paint, and soon he couldn't help himself. He flew his companion towards the fire na'vi.
As they got closer, he could already feel the heat, but admired what he saw. Huge flowers surrounding the moutains, fire and orange coloured like a burning flame with black middles. Then there was the village, no trees, but little stone caves for homes, statues, those firey flowers. There there was a big tree in the middle, burnt but covered in lights, red lights made of glow stones, their hometree. Thanators roamed freely, each with red marked painting on their bodies and faces.
He hid behind a fire flower on the smallest moutain, and scanned the area until he finally spotted her, Zuru'iki. She was speaking to a very tall na'vi, red like her, an elder man. He decided to get closer, leaving his ikran to perch and soon he was in the village, hiding behind a couple painted rocks. "Sempul(father)! I try best!" He heard and gave a confused expression.
"You stupid, like child!" He yelled back, "you betray the people! Talk with omaticaya man!" He said and Jakes eyes widened slightly. "Sempul.. he not bad omaticaya, he not like people! He talk me, curious!" She yelled back and suddenly he turned to her and screamed. "You betray me! You just like you sa'nok(mother)! Curious.. curious get you killed, stupid girl!" He said, then turned away from her. "You no speak me until I ready.. I not look at you." He walked away as tears ran down her red cheeks, and Jake growled lowly, making her ears twitch.
She looked over and spotted him, making her mouth drop. "What you do here!?" She loudly whisperedd, coming over and looking at him, continuously looking around to make sure no one else was looking. The tears were still running down her cheeks, and she quickly wiped them. "I-I couldn't wait to see you.. I just really.. I really wanted to talk to you again." He whispered back, and then wantes to wipe those tears but restrained himself.
"You stupid.." she said, but she was giggling which made him smile at her quite lovingly. "Not here." She said with a smile, and then grabbed his hand, "come, come." She said and sprinted him to a cave, her cave. She closed the curtains made of stripped silver, like crystals before looking at him. "It nice see you." She said, lighting the fire to brighten the dark cave. There was only one big bed in here, showing she lived alone. Her thanator sleeping outside beside the cave under a wooden made like hut, with his own fire keeping him warm.
"You not be here!" She said, pushing on his chest gently, giving him that sicky feeling again. "I know, I know.. I just.. couldn't resist." He chuckled and she rolled her eyes, sitting own on a soft looking bean bag, and he sat on the other. He looked atvher skin, glimmering in the flame lit light, and how the silver made her really pop. On top of that, she was daughter of the olo'eyktan.. she was gorgouse.
"Your really pretty.." Jake mumbled, and her eyes widened slightly, then she seemed to look flustered and he smirked slightly. 'Why is she so.. alluring...?' He wondered, staring at her shy smile. "Are you.. mated?" He asked, and he couldn't believe those words left his lips. "No, why?" She asked and he played it off cool. "Just curious. Being the cheifs daughter means you have to find a mate before a certain age right? How old are you?" He asked, "I twenty year old." She replied, "and yes, but no fire male catch eye. I no interest." She explained and he felt a little happy by that.
'Am I.. falling for her..?' He wondered, and his question was answered when she said, "you pretty." She said, "you catch eye." She seemed to realise what she said and looked down, making his eyebrows raise and his lips part, but then she stood up. "But you omaticaya. So it don't matter if you pretty not." She walked over to a table of weapons, and Jake saw the axe she held yesterday, a few knife or daggers, and what seemed to be poisonous flowers.
"Why... why should that matter..?" He asked her softly, and she looked back at him. "We be enemies. No friends." He was kind of happy she considered them friends, but now thinking about it, he wished they were more. "What if.. I don't want to be enemies.. what if you catch my eye aswell..?" He asked and her heart skipped a beat, now that sicky feeling in her stomach.
"It no work-", "You don't know that, Zuru'iki." He approched her, but she backed away so he respectfully stopped, putting his hands up. "I will not touch you unless you say so, Zuru. But.. I want to be the.. the one to catch your eye." He admitted. "I know we only met yesterday, and we barely know one another but I really.. like being around you." He said and she found herself agreeing. "Why dont, we see how it goes? We hang out every day we can, and.. save eachother for awhile?" He offered.
"Save?" She asked, "Like, dont mate with anyone until we know how we really want.. us to go?" He explained and she gulped gently. "You determind.." she let out a soft chuckle, making him lower his hands. She stayed quiet for a moment, then sighed and spoke, "I do it. But reasons I no promises." Zuru'iki had a point of no promises, but that was enough for this five fingered na'vi. "Its settled then."

Author’s note: I hope you guys like this part too, the reason why I used jaguar patterns on the na’vi was because I looked up an animals the Mayans worshipped and I came across the Jaguars. Writing about food makes me hungry XD
P.s. Also, idk how many parts of this series I should make, perhaps another ten? Or thirteen maybe?

After breakfast, while Neytiri and Ronal went to talk with Nicté, both Y/n and Yolotli guided the boys around, showing them places they could go explore and such. The whole time, Y/n had been talking along with swearing in  Yucatec, both Neteyam and Ao’nung had no idea what they had been saying, Yolotli had to translate to them, she apologized when Y/n had calledd them an insult such as ‘Idiota’, it was their own word for Skxawng.
The group of teens had arrived at a small opening in the forest, that was around where the volcano was. Some girls who they assumed were y/n’s friends tagged along, again speaking in Yucatec to one another. They kept looking at them males and saying things about them, some had been staring a bit to long at them, even giving them smiles and giggling when they caught the boys off guard.
“Okay, first, you must make a bond with the Nì’awve “ she said, turning to the woods and began to make a hissing noise, having her tongue between her teeth. Then movements from the bushes came, two large creatures came out. they were large snakes with coal colored skin that apparently was hard as the volcanic rock, they were almost as big as a Thanator. “You must bond with them, once the bond is done, then you will learn the ways of how to control fire” she said.
Y/n had been chating with her friends, then she saw that the Ni’awve had arrived, then stopped and said. “Le ba'ala' kun u jats'utsile' “ this should be fun, then they departed from her friends walked over next to Yolotli. “Who wants to go first? I mean unless you’re scared” they said making the other girls laugh. Yolotli gave them a warning look. Neteyam and Ao’nung looked at one another. “I’ll go” Neteyam said walking over.
“Okay, just stay calm” Yolotli said as she helped Neteyam get onto the beast. “Its important to have a good position” she said as she began to position him the proper way. Yolotli then carefully went behind the beast’s head and got a small antenna. “Here, make the bond” she said as Neteyam then grabbed his queue and attached it to the beasts. Then the Ni’awve began to shift harshly, but he held on tightly to the beasts. “Its okay, be calm” Yolotli said as Y/n was holding back laughter “you also, might want to hang on tightly” they said as then the Beast just took off.
Neteyam held onto it for dear life, the Ni’awve was going too fast, he tried to remain calm but the beasts movements were making it difficult. The beast continued to move fast and out of control, then out of no where the animal had thrown Neteyam off. He had landed on the floor hard, while he was laying on the floor in pain, he heard the group of girls and Y/n laughing their heads off.
“Neteyam!” Yolotli shouted as she ran over to the boy on the ground. “Are you okay?” she asked, helping him sit up. “Yeah, just... in pain” he said rubbing his back. “Its okay, I fell my first time too, would you like to try another day?” she asked then Neteyam shook his head. “No, I’ll do it again” he said as Yolotli nodded and helped him up, walking over to where the beast went, back to the group.
Y/n was still chuckling with tears in her eyes, Neteyam also noticed that Ao’nung was trying so hard not to laugh. “Sorry, its just” Ao’nung said as he then just laughed. Neteyam glared at him, this reminded him of the time when Lo’ak had fallen off his Ilu. “Are you going again or have you give up already?” y/n asked Neteyam who walked over back to the beast. “I’m going again” he said as Yolotli got a settle for the beast, she got it from one of the girls who was holding two saddles. Once she put the settle on the beast, Neteyam hopped on, sitting on the beast’s back. “Suit yourself” y/n said smirking at them. Yolotli gave Neteyam an apologetic look “be careful” she said.
Neteyam connected his queue into the beast, then the beast took off again. This time Neteyam was holding tightly onto the saddle. When the beast took off, this time Neteyam held on tightly into the saddle, he was going to bond with the beast no matter what, even if he had to fall accouple more times, he will bond with it. After a little while from riding the Ni’awve he didn’t fall, this time the creature seemed more friendly towards him. He had bonded with the beast.
He let out a victory cry, also seeing that the group of girls looked stoned, they celebrated as well. Yolotli ran over to him with a smile on her face. “You did it! You bonded!” smiling at him. Neteyam had forgotten about his injury, after wards he then felt the pain come back. The adrenaline had worn off and he groaned in pain. Yolotli than helped him down from his now beast. “You okay?” she asked as he just nodded. “Yeah, it just hurts” he mumbled as Yolotli walked him over to y/n.
“Y/n/n? Can you take Neteyam to mama?” she asked as y/n who had not said a word nodded. “Yeah, lets go” they said, leading Neteyam away while Yolotli helped Ao’nung. As they walked side to side, y/n spoke. “I had to admit, that was impressive of you Netnet” they said smirking at the boy, they noticed how his cheeks turned purple. “Thank you” he said as they both arrived at a small hut
It was similar to a home like his temporary one, except there was a small cot, two little stoles, some herbs hanging on the wall, and on the middle was small fire bit, which was lit while a small caldron hanged above the fire. He saw a woman there, she was making something on the small table that was on the corner of the hut. “Mama? I need your help” y/n said as the woman turn to look at her.
The woman was just like everyone else, pale skin, and dotted patterns. Her eyes were a golden color, her hair was as long as her queue, she was wearing an bld dark blue huipil skirt with different patterns, that went from her waist to her calves, she had no top on, thankfully her hair was the thing that covered her chest. She had also had a symbol drawn on her chest and others symbols on her cheeks near her mouth. She had wooden earrings and a piercing at the bottom of her lip just like Yolotli. Neteyam did not miss her beauty, she seemed as if she was gift from Eywa.
“Oh, what happened?” the women asked, taking Neteyam by the arm gently, guiding him to sit on the stole. “He fell off the Ni’awve” y/n said chuckling, the woman examined him. There were some scrapes on his back and elbows, the woman then got some water from a bucket and began to clean his wounds with a cloth. She had a very gentle touch “y/n make some tea” the woman said as y/n nodded and got to making tea. They took some dried herbs from the wall and got to work, crushing the leaves and putting them in the caldron with water to boil.
After the woman was done cleaning his wounds, she got a little bowl with a strange colored paste and began to put some of the paste on him. Neteyam winced in pain, it burned. “I’m sorry that it hurts, but this should heal your wounds.” The woman said as she she continued. Y/n had approached with a cup, that had the steaming tea and handed it to the woman. “Here drink this, it may taste bad but it will help with the pain, it best to drink it hot” she said smiling. Neteyam nodded and drank the tea fast, it tasted horrible and it was hot.
“Oh, how rude of me, I haven’t introduced myself. My name is Patli, I am the mother of both y/n and Yolotli.” She said kindly at the boy. “Its a pleasure to meet you” he said smiling at her. Patli smiled and walked over to the table that had freshly cut herbs, taking some and tied them with a smile string. She walked over and handed them to him, along with a little wooden tin with that paste. “If the pain comes back, you can make a tea with these herbs or you can chew them. They should take the pain away.” She said kindly. “Thank you ma’am” Neteyam said respectfully to her.
“Okay, we’ll be on our way” y/n said as Patli pulled them into a side hug and kissed their forehead. “Stay out of trouble now” she said as but y/n let out a dramatic gasp “me? causing trouble? never” they said as Patli gave her a look of ‘I know how you are’. Both y/n and Neteyam walked out of the hut. “Patli is very nice” Neteyam said as y/n responded as they walked back to where the rest of the teens were. “I mean, where do you think Yolotli got her kindness?” they said. “So, it was her that birthed her?” he asked as y/n nodded. “Yup! and my other mother Nicte gave birth to me” they said. Now it made since, y/n shared a lot of Nicte’s traits and Yolotli shared a lot from Patli’s traits.
When they returned to the spot, Ao’nung was on the back of an Ni’awve, he seemed to had got the hang of beast, he probably already bonded with it. The group of girls then spotted Neteyam and ran towards his direction, all the girls had tried to get a hold of him. “That was so amazing!” one of them said, then another much taller girl chimed in “yeah, who would of thought a forest na’vi would bond with a Ni’awve” she said a bit too flirty. Other girls had chimed in talking over each other, completing Neteyam.
Y/n had been watching the whole time, and for some reason, they did not liked how her friends were putting hands on the boy na’vi. They glared at the group of girls trying to get Neteyam’s attention. “He is a ladies magnet alright” Ao’nung who was now standing next to you said. “Really?” y/n asked looking at him, the Metkayina boy nodded “Yup, back home he had a load of girls chasing after him.” He said as Y/n continued to watch. “Where is Yolotli?” they asked “oh, she went with my mother and Neytiri, she said she wanted to teach them how to cook stuff from here.” He said.
Then y/n got an idea “would you like to go hunting?” they asked as Ao’nung saw the smirk on their face, a toothy smirk he already knew to well. He couldn’t help but also notice some jade gems on their teeth. “Sure, why not” he said as Neteyam had managed to get away from the group of girls towards Ao’nung and y/n. “What are you two planning?” he asked as y/n responded. “We’re going hunting, I want to see how good you are” they said as they began to walk away. The boys followed y/n, they had gone towards her home which was the giant pyramid. They walked all the way to the top, y/n had no problem, but both Ao’nung and Neteyam got exhausted, as soon as they got to the top, they dropped to the floor trying to catch their breath. Y/n had gone in to get their weapon of choice.
Once they came out, they had three spears, a knife and a Macuahuitl. “Come on, lets go” they said walking down the steps. The boys looked at each other then groaned. They all walked down the steps, again both boys were exhausted. The trio reached the forest, then y/n began to give each boy a spear. They had tied their Macuahuitl onto their hip. “Okay, now that we are all set, lets go.” They said as they went into the woods.
They went deep into the woods, trying to find a prey. They continued to walk until y/n stopped. “Listen” they said, they all stayed quiet, listening to the forest at first but they began to hear heavy sounds, sounds of an animal. Y/n then began to climb on a tree, Neteyam followed while Ao’nung also followed but he had was having a difficult time climbing. Y/n crawled near a hug branch, staying quiet as possible, looking down, spotting a Tapirus, by it self, eating the grass peacefully.
y/n turned to see the boys behind them, they lifted their finger to their lip, signaling them to stay quiet. They then got their spear, aiming the weapon towards the animal. y/n waited for a bit before throwing the weapon, hitting the creature in the right spot, instantly killing it. “Yes!” y/n said in victory, both Neteyam and Ao’nung were surprised. “Damn” Neteyam said as Ao’nung had his jaw dropped. “I guess we’ll be having menudo or may be Chile Colorado” they said as they jumped down to retrieve the creature, the boys followed behind. “Chile what now?” Ao’nung said confused making y/n roll their eyes. “Chile Colorado, its a dish, very spicy, the spicier the better for me” they said.
Y/n pulled out the spear from the creature, getting some blood on them, some landed on their face. They touched the spot on their cheek which had blood, and they licked the blood of their fingers. Neteyam and Ao’nung looked at one another surprised by their action. “So, where else should we hunt for?” they asked as Neteyam then said “Fish? Do you guys eat fish?” he asked as y/n responded “we rarely eat fish, we like to eat meat, we could go for some fish” they said. Y/n had picked up the animal, carrying it on their back as if it were nothing to them.
“Would you like me to carry it for you?” Neteyam asked as y/n looked at him with an eye brow raised. “Are you sure?” they asked as Neteyam nodded. “Okay” they said removing the animal from their back and put it on Neteyam’s back. As soon as the beast was on his back, he nearly fell, the creature was heavier than him, he tried to stay up the creature’s heaviness was greater. “You need help there?” Ao’nung asked with a smirk. “N-no.. I’m doing just fine” he said as he nearly was about to fall. “Yeah, give it here” y/n said taking the creature off his back. “You okay?” they asked Neteyam who was catching his breath. “Never.. been better..” he said trying to catch his breath.
They continued their hunting. They had arrived at a river nearby, both boys had jumped into the water in search for fish. They had been in the river for a while, catching as many fish as they could. After a while they had got a lot of fish, enough for a lot of people eat. They began to head back to the village, back to the boy’s temporary home. Yolotli had been there helping both Ronal and Neytiri with the cooking. She had brought them a clay cooking pot along with other dishes. “We’re back” Neteyam said getting their attention. “Oh you brought Tapirus” Yolotli said as Y/n placed the creature down “yeah, we could teach them how to make Chile Colorado.” They suggested, as Yolotli responded. “That sounds good, I’ll have to go get some Red Chiles though” she said giving both Ronal and Neytiri a polite smile and living to get red chiles.
Y/n began to skin the animal while both Ao’nung and Neteyam watched, as they skinned the fish they brought. The boys had skinned animals before, but they this was different, they watched them with fascination, as if they wanted to watch them do this for a life time. They were both snapped out of their thought when Ronal had called them over to bring her the fish. Y/n had put the remainings of the animal in a basket so that they could feed it to the Ni’awve. Yolotli had returned with the chiles. That whole after noon they had been cooking. Since they were going to stay with them for a while, they might as well learn.
Yolotli had been teaching both adult women how to make the red Chile Sause, while y/n was showing the two boys how to cook the Tapirus meet for the stew. They also added other ingredients to the stew. They had also introduced them to red rice. After the food was ready, Neteyam and Ao’nung had invited both y/n and Yolotli to stay for dinner, as a way to thank them in helping them that they. They both stayed to eat dinner with the family.
Everyone was talking about their day and other stuff that will be happening towards the week. During the conversation, Ao’nung mouth had been on fire, due to the food being very spicy, he nearly drank all the water just to cool off his tongue. Y/n had been laughing since they weren’t used to eating spicy things. Both Y/n and Yolotli had been eating the spicy stew as if it were no problem. After dinner, y/n and Yolotli helped clean up and left back home due to getting dark.
That night both Neteyam and Ao’nung couldn’t really sleep, they had been thinking y/n and y/n only. They really couldn’t understand why they had been thinking of the Tsahìk ‘s child. They weren’t sure why, but they both knew that sooner or later something more might happen.

Veykx'u lore Part two: Origins
Tumblr media
Long, long ago,
During the time of the first songs the veykx'u once dwelled in the high mountains of pandora, known for their exceptional creativity and craft. They lived peacefully, until infighting had broken out amongst the clan which turned into an all out war. This drove the Veykx'u north leaving their mountain home behind.
The clan had became nomadic and with no place to call home, the clan kept heading north until they had arrived at the beaches of the pandoran north pole. It was there that they would become fishermen and hunt large animals like direseals and tulkun that were on their migratory route through the north. The clan would even learn to tame the ikrans that roosted on the beaches.
Their choice to hunt tulkun had lead the Veykx'u to be in conflict with the sea na'vi. The conflict between the two na'vi would go on for several years until it came to a standstill between the clans. By this time, the Veykx'u had been venturing beyond the beaches and more inland where they had found more plentiful resources of food and started to loose their interest in tulkun hunting. The entire clan had soon left the beaches and traveled further inland where they would make the tundra their new home.
As they traveled further into the tundra, they soon interacted with the large herds of the woolly hammerheads. Which the Veykx'u soon formed a mutualism symbiosis relationship with a two hundred herd of woolly hammerheads providing protection and transportation while the Veykx'u helped with get food that the woolly hammerheads couldn't get. The Veykx'u would use their engineering to create huts that would attach onto the woolly hammerheads which would all be connected and could be easily taken off.
As the years went on, the Veykx'u started to evolve traits to help them survive in the snow. Such as; foot pads and more spread out toes to help walk on the snow and ice while their bodies started to develop more layers of fat, giving them their chubby appearance.
During one harsh season, a terrible plague had struck the herds that the veykx'u usually hunted causing a famine through the clan. When all hope had seemed lost, the ground started to heat up and soon turned into a large hot spring after hot water erupted out of the ground. The hot spring had several vegetation growing near it which had enough to sustain the clan and the herd. The Veykx'u would call the hot spring lake Syawn'ftueywa meaning: "Gift from Eywa." The clan would actually live in Syawn'ftueywa until the herds would start to migrate. Ever since that day, the Veykx'u would always return to Syawn'ftueywa every season when the herds had returned from their seasonal migration to give birth and raise their young.
