I am currently Life & Health Licensed and have about 3 yrs experience. I recently have been offered a job working at an Allstate Agency. I would be working under the agency owner and my salary would be $26,000 plus commission (which is only 3%). They will train me and pay for my P&C Licensing. I also have the option to get contracted thru many different Life & Health companies and work myself as an Independent Insurance Agent. This would give me control over all my clients, have big commissions, and make residual income. However, there is no gauranteed money (like a salary) and I would probably have to spend some money to make some money. I have been going back and forth for a while now trying to decide what to do.
