Asked Mitaka if he'd thought about a way I can help with his musical when he's done writing it, since he doesn't really need me to build anything.

He thought about it for a second and asked, "How's your aim?"

"Amazing," I replied.

"Excellent. Would you like to operate a spotlight?"

"What does that involve?"

"You shine a big light on the actors."

"That. . . sounds like more of a job for a lamp than a human."

"They're not stationary! You have to follow them with the light while they perform. Think of it like this: You're the gunner on an AT-M6 and you have to keep your 'target' (the actor) within the beam of your 'laser' (the spotlight) at all times."

"Okay. That sounds a little more like fun. Will my 'targets' be trying to evade my. . . uh. . . blaster fire'?"

Mitaka let out a long sigh. "It appears that way much more often than I would prefer. "
