Review “Los prisioneros”
Song: El baile de los que sobran.
We heard and discover this song because when we were children some of our parents listened it, also because is a very popular song that has always played on the radio.
We feel a taste for the song because this song contains a critique and a social message accompanied by a good rhythm that ironicizes the topic addressed.
In our opinion we believe that the coincide but just a little bit with the video, mainly because you can see the band doing music but just in presentations. We can deduce that some parts of the video are related to the video, for example the parts in which you can see files of the military dictatorship because the message is directly related to that part of the history of Chile.
The meaning of the song is that represents all those young people of low age and social class that graduates of their respective schools, (in the military dictatorship) discover that their job possibilities or to enter the university are completely limited. The main reason is because low-income schools have a series of shortcomings, both structural and operational, that prevent them from providing a quality education compared to private institutions.
We believe that the song is special because it has managed to transcend through time, the message that is delivered in the song is still present in many vulnerable sectors of the country.
This song reminds us a little to the british band "depeche mode" because the song has a electroacoustic and electronic sounds, which are so representative from this band.
Finally, we invite anyone who wants to listen to some good Chilean rock, especially this song, which with its content can identify many people.
