remember about chiaki is a daughter of a cult leader, her mother wanted pass her ability to her own daughter (as she think that giving her daughter to "their god" as its host and reason she was birth is this)

Post 2:
Facts about my lore cuz im lazy to do 1 whole video for that: (EVERYTHING’S IN MY AU DO NOT STEAL)
- Galstar had different names in my lore:
In before the reset world: My irl name/Saiko
After reset world: Zero/Saiko and finally Galstar
- Galstar is the reason why half of the carathers in the lore are still alive like Emil, Hernos, etc...
*AFTER RESET WORLD FACTS*
- Galstar’s mom is leading a anti-abuse and a nomore-orphans fondation
- Galstar adopted some ppl due to her coma and cuz she had the best reasons ever:
Kiyotaka: Abused by his mom and found by the anti-abuse fondation
Toko: Same reasons as Kiyotaka (Since she's his biological sister)
Chihiro: Thought their dad died in the fire so they ran away from home, and found by the no-more orphans fondation
Chiaki: Same reasons as Chihiro (She's Chihiro's biological twin)
Kazuichi: Ran away from home and was found by Hana (Hana was on a vacation trip at this moment)
Mikan: Manage to escape her house and was found by the anti-abuse fondation
Kokichi: Same reasons as Mikan (He's Mikan's biological younger brother)
Kaede/Fuyuhiko: Managed to escape the house by bombing it when it was on assault and were found by Hana and Exemina (Zero's "mom"/dad)
Kirumi: Managed to escape her orphonage and took care of Kokichi and Mikan for a few months they were found by the anti-abuse fondation somehow
Ryota: Managed to escape the fire in another way alone and wasn’t found yet
Natsumy: Died/Was killed by her crazy step-dad
- Exemina doesn’t know much the concept of transgender (Everyone tried to explain, bug she doesn’t listen)
*BEFORE RESET WORLD FACTS*
- Saiko (Galstar) had skills on technology, she used it to create CORR.NEO PROGRAM, who is in the danganronpa game, she hired a virus
- things didn’t go as planned since she had to hire other people, which didn’t really bothered her at first place... Since the thing who bothered the most was during the killing game:
- Hifumi was supposed to be the one to kill mondo at chapter 4, but it was Chihiro instead
- Izuru was supposed to kill Akane, but Sonia and Chiaki overheard his plan because he was talking with Hajime... But instead, Sonia was killed by Chiaki at chapter 5
- Ryoma was supposed to drown someone, but Kirumi drowned Angie instead at chapter 3, she then killed Himiko to delete the proofs
Which ruined dome plans of hers, but just dealed with it...
- Mondo’s death was slow since he was trapped in his own trap who was supposed to trap Junko and Mukuro, but Kiyotaka entered in, and Mondo had to do something. He survived, but Chihiro was waiting for him, and he got violently stabbed in the head (his corpse was found by Hifumi)
- Everyone had a normal tabet durinv the killing game, but it was really usefull only to Saiko and Kyoko
- Chihiro found out at the end of chapter 3 that Mondo was the mastermind and decided to use the trap that he heard about to kill him
- Nagito killed Saiko on purpose at chapter 6 to take Hajime’s place, but he didn’t get his fate...
- Chihiro didn’t really suspected mondo at first place, bu suspected Junko, Mukuro and Makoto alot
- Sakura read Chihiro’s diary after his execution, which caused Sakura’s death, since she had to kill Saiko or Byakuya (Since he’s the traitor)
- Monokuma has empathy, even if he doesn’t show it
- Monomi was made to comfort the students after someone’s death
- The Monokubs were made to entertain the students, to make things easier for them
- They were in different group when they went out of the CNP
- Saiko’s real death is the cause of the after reset world to start

I never talk about my s/i's chiaki lore, I taken inspiration from female eobin/grima's story. her ability is called divine decree, the name of her ability is ost instead of literature, so I kinda broke how her f/o's media works :') I actually have her lore in my mind but I'm too shy to share but I gave you little lore of her.
it's been a while I played fire emblem awakening but I remember plegia worship grima as their god, so chiaki was born in a cult who workship her mom like she was goddness or something, her as heiress of a cult. chiaki was a little girl, her mom transfer her ability to young chiaki. but her father and her aunt escape her from fate to be heiress of a cult. after leaving her mom and the cult, her father and aunt make her forgotten her memories of the cult and her mom, so chiaki finally start a new life
how can they raise a little girl with ability can turn into a beastly dragon?
if chiaki is like female robin and atsushi is her chrom like, I guess that's make them " We are two halves of the same whole. " I mean these two have animal based abilities

im sorry if you've been asked something like this before or if this is an obvious question (it's been quite a few years since i've visited your blog regularly actually) but do you view the smt series as an endless cycle of doom and gloom or come out with a more positive viewpoint. i've seen the former quite a bit in the western sphere and i've always felt like a bit of a weirdo for taking a much more hopeful approach with the lore, just curious on your thoughts and if others feel the same way
Hello again!
When I skimmed this I thought you were talking about the negativity of the community rather than the games’ narratives. I was ready to say, “well, when you really look at the visual products and think about the logic of certain choices...” but I’m glad I can talk about something else.
So the reason why you see “doom and gloom” in the Western fanbase is almost entirely because we got the Maniacs version of Nocturne as our introduction to SMT, with the banal power-creep, death-battle, try hard fantasy of the True Demon ending--one that had never been seen in an SMT narrative before (I emphasize its central, contrarian destructive aspects). Like a lot of Atlus rerelease content, It is completely grafted onto and also opposed to the main narrative (quite intentionally... to a point!) yet has always completely overshadowed the actually positive Freedom ending, probably because of all of its exclusive content like dungeons, new demons, skills, new bosses and especially Lucifer as a new final boss make it the fullest experience--and it technically is! Many people who’ve beaten Nocturne have probably only ever done it once, giving even further incentive to settle for TDE (can’t blame ‘em) and thus the discourse builds around that ending and its tone as a standard. I, too, once thought so.
Tumblr media
Nocturne also lacks traditional Law/Chaos endings which is to the game’s benefit creatively but their dichotomy would have been a much better introduction for newcomers to teach about the series’ extremes (both Law and Chaos are usually bad for humans); this is why I wince when so many new SMT players ask for the best place to start the series and the most appropriate introduction, SMT1, is completely unavailable to them in a modern format. On the other hand, Nocturne’s normal Reason endings are seen as insubstantial and, while yes, they are short, they are the natural capstones for the creation of worlds you’ve already seen and can imagine via the various conversations with Hikawa, Chiaki, and Isamu; the ending was already inherent through the journey. These endings can also be viewed positively since their new creations are what you chose and fought for, as opposed to TDE which is merely destruction. The regular Demon ending? Neutral-Apathy.
TDE has made a significant impact on the Western SMT culture at the very least. Its influence is peppered in general SMT comment sections everywhere, nonsensical “another god rejected” memes (for a series where you recruit far more gods than you defeat), and Atlus’ own canonization of TDE with the Demi-fiend’s various spin-off appearances. It’s also earning pale imitations of itself:
Tumblr media
Its brand of hollow darkness is here to stay but hasn’t been the only choice lately. SMT4′s positive Neutral path is its own standard (again, it has the most content and effort put into it, from a certain perspective). SJR’s new Law and Chaos endings are actually somewhat positive for once and even 4A’s Bonds route is... well, it suits its narrative better than TDE! Shin Megami Tensei V could very well have a good Neutral ending but also something akin to TDE and, should they design the scenario right, positive and negative will be a matter of choice rather than an overwhelming consensus for one over the other.

Discord server? Is there multiple people in it owo?
Yeah, there are a lot of people OwO Here are some of our introductions! (In order of how often they speak on the server) (Under the cut because there are too many of us djhsbdbhdfjhbfjhb)
Tumblr media
August hasn’t sent his image yet so there’s a placeholder. Anyway, because he hasn’t sent it in here’s a bit of stuff I know about him!
He will fight you. He will fight god. There is no stopping him. Owner of the server. Piss him off and you’re dead. (/j... mostly) Alongside NM and Jade, these three are the most chaotic. McDonalds! McDonalds! Scare him with proper grammar and punctuation. Speaketh in the fusty tongue- Online married to Jade. They might actually marry irl in several years, who knows- He/Him pronouns. I think he said he was genderfluid but my self-doubt brain is flaring up so just use he/him hggfdbjdhfbjjhvgfb
Tumblr media
Another placeholder! Why? Because Nightmare (AKA NM) hasn’t sent anything either B’D
Nightmare is chaotic, especially when around Clover. Save me from her. Constant Villain Arc but doesn’t mean any real harm. I think she’d actually cry if she found out she actually hurt one of us in any way <3 She will also fight god. Biggest Dream SMP lore absorber. Second place is Sin and third is Cosmic. Any pronouns, I’ll use she/her for Nightmare unless asked to not <3
Tumblr media
This is Chara! She’s the one of us most likely to ace a history exam and make a fighter jet in Minecraft UwU (Pronouns since they aren’t listed are She/They)
Tumblr media
This is Wildy (The mod writing out this post)! I’m the one who will blow you up with explosive bunnies in Terraria yet be scared to ask for something irl- Since I didn’t write anything out in mine, I’ll just list here:
Hurt anyone I know and I’ll steal your kneecaps. Filthy crime child, will commit arson for fun- Likes drawing, hurt/comfort, writing, gaming, and PLOT- Considered pure despite being one of the oldest members of the server. Cries when exposed to character death and certain songs in key moments. Also cries when lonely, which is worryingly often B’) Draws with a mouse >:D She/Her pronouns, will say “I’m a GIRL” if you get it wrong and if I don’t despise you. Multishipper Rairpair hell, Oumaede hours go brrrr- Chiaki kinnie with potential ADHD pog- Will talk about self or OCs too much, but ask about how I’m feeling and I’ll spend 5 minutes buffering before saying that I’m tired because I genuinely cannot tell what’s wrong with me 99% of the time :3 Questioning in several ways, someone save me.
Tumblr media
Another placeholder cause Sin exists too-
Sin is second place on the Dream SMP lore absorber leaderboard, second only to Nightmare and her room almost completely designed for screaming about it. She/Her pronouns (which actually surprised me cause everyone in the server referred to her with they/them and I just checked her roles szjhbndjbfhjb) Very very good at writing in rps. Like damn. I actually don’t have much more to note even though Sin is very pog. Her persona is part spider tho :3
Tumblr media
This is Olive! Fellow Danganronpa fan pog UwU (Pronouns since they aren’t listed are She/They)
Tumblr media
Final placeholder is for Cosmic!
Third place in Dream SMP lore absorber. He’s really far behind though hehe- Another Danganronpa fan. Probably hates V3′s mastermind a lot- He/Him pronouns Again, don’t have much to note about him.
Tumblr media
This is Tina! She’s been more active on the server lately, which is very pog.
Other members of the server who either aren’t as active, are people I barely know, or aren’t participating are:
Jade (Any pronouns) - August’s online SO.
Nova (She/Her) - The person I once had a debate with about whether or not tomatoes were fruit :3
Abby/Kittybunny (She/They/Kit/Bun/more neos) - The person who also likes Rain World and Warriors :D
J (He/They) - Nightmare’s friend who kinda intimidates me.
Akira??? (She/Her) - I genuinely either don’t know or forgot who this was I’m sorry-
Ash (Unknown Pronouns) - Also barely know/remember this person, but they seem pog.
And more, but I’m too tired to add them lol

Twisted Sister Arc Review Part 1
Hi guys I’m the Anon who does the reviews around here…guess you could call me the Review Anon? Wonder what the lore behind me would be…anyway that doesn’t matter! Point is, I have an Arc to review and Jesus is this a big one. So big that A) I’m doing submissions (with permission from the Mod of course) and B) I’m splitting the review into 3 parts. Heavy Arcs are Heavy and a LOT of stuff happens here so let’s get right into it!
So, the parts of the Twisted Sister Arc are first the Massacre, second is the Mindwipe and third is the Prison Break. Last one doesn’t start with M but I’m not doing rhyming here, but that’s enough time wasting let’s get right into it~
Massacre
Easily the darkest part of the Arc but given the Arc is basically Kanade being a Slasher Killer here, what do you expect? While Danganronpa is a franchise about murder, and we had serial killers in it both canon and fanon the nature of the Killing Game means that a full-blooded mass killing akin to many slasher films hasn’t really occurred in the franchise before. This makes Kanade’s bloody rampage here even more disturbing, as while we have had mass killings before, see Mukuro’s rampage through Giboua Middle School in Killer Killer, those are established as backstory drops for the characters, we never actually see one being carried out in action. And going back to that massacre, Mukuro only did it because Junko thought her sister’s killer intent might have slipped and it’s to prove to her she is still a killer, but here Kanade is killing for cold blooded revenge. And she doesn’t just kill a bunch of randoms as she brutally murders Iroha, Peko, Akane, Nekomaru, Sonia and Kokoro very brutally and very effectively. I knew something was up given that the entire school went into lockdown and all the fighters from Class 77-B were geared to fight Kanade to the death, and Kanade is such a pansy of a fighter that Sonia beat the living shit out of here, and Syo was taken down by the QC, and we all know how terrifying Syo is. But once the bodies started to drop, I knew that the first time that Hajime would reset on purpose was coming up and there were so many questions. Who set Kanade up for this? Someone had to be helping her…. but who and why? Juu could have let her out but he couldn’t have supplied Kanade with her tools and intel (more on that later) so it has to be someone else.
Within the darkness of this timeline there is of course your heroes. There are those like Peko who got a lucky shot on Kanade which set a chain line of events leading to Kanade’s death, Mikako who made Kanade’s injuries worse and Kokoro who stabbed Kanade in the eye. But those small victories led to total loses as even if Peko didn’t die, she would be crippled for life and moreover she failed to protect her classmates from Kanade’s wrath, and Mikako lost her mother, just as she started to finally connect with her. You may have noticed that I haven’t mentioned two names yet, and that’s because they deserve their own paragraphs, I am of course referring to Nikei and Hibiki.
I’m gonna start with the next person who attacks Kanade and that is of course our Journalist boy here. To say this day has been terrible to him would be a massive understatement as one minute he is suffering an energy crash from downing one too many Red Bulls and having lewd thoughts, to running faster than if he happened to be in Mexico (Seriously, if you happen to be a journalist just don’t go to Mexico) to Hope’s Peak and thanks to Ankle Effects, arriving alongside Hajime to a bloodbath. There’s his constant refusal to accept that Iroha is killed, even though we as the audience knew that given Iroha tried to stop Kanade as soon as she arrived at Hope’s Peak and that Kanade was seen by Sonia and co chopping up security guards, the likelihood of her survival was next to none. This carries on from the conversation Nikei had with Yoruko in the previous Arc where he still believes he is dangerous and that he doesn’t see the other Voids as friends or equals, but rather he took the role as leader because he wanted to have power for once in his life, something he alluded to in the Void Theatre during Chapter 5. However, his reaction to Iroha’s unknown safety, and eventually the truth that Kanade really did butcher the poor painter, proves otherwise. While Nikei’s relationship with his fellow Voids canonically won’t get revealed until LINIQ decides to get around to doing the Onmake mode, in which one of the stories in that is going to be about Void pre Mikado- with someone, most likely Nikei, being the POV character, here the fact his first thoughts upon finding out his ‘little sister’ is dead is to disregard the no-killing rule and just beat Kanade to death, proves that he does care about his fellow Voids, but is in several layers of denial. Out of all the Voids, Nikei is easily the most guarded and paranoid of the lot, and while the others have loosened up around Hajime and co, Nikei still has a lot of inner demons he has to deal with before he could truly open up to the rest of the QC. And Kanade chopping his right hand off, doesn’t help matters though I do give Nikei credit that unlike in the OG timeline, where upon his right hand been blown up by his exploding gun, he just broke down crying, here, he tries to carry on the fight regardless, or he would have had the other person I need to talk about didn’t show up. This is pretty important to establish that while most of the Voids now are pretty far removed from their canon selves and are unlikely to regress back in that, Nikei is still closely tied with his bastard canon self and more work needs to be done for him to detach from that.
But moving on from someone who needs to get some work done, let’s move onto someone who has seen the natural conclusion of their character development, Hibiki! Ever since Hajime and Chiaki rescued Hibiki from her twisted sister (*rim shot*) back in July, she has been making a ton of progress, firstly coming to terms with what Kanade did and her true nature, developing friendly healthy relationships with Class 77-B, the QC and of course a romantic relationship with Hajime. It seemed kind of cliché for Hibiki to fall for Hajime but then again a) Danganronpa can be cliché at times and B) As a Danganronpa Protagonist Hajime cannot turn off his swag. Then there is her officially joining the QC, learning how to fight and being a complete and utter badarse and a caring lover when needed as she confronted Hajime back when he died the second time. We all knew it was only a matter of time when Hibiki had to confront her sister and when Kanade broke into the school, we saw fully, how much Hibiki has grown in the past 3 months. The old Hibiki would have curled up in a corner terrified, crying and probably going into the Puppet State. Here though, Hibiki’s FIRST THOUGHTS upon finding out that Kanade is more dangerous now is to done some armour and get some weapons, and face her sister head on with no hesitation. All without going into the Puppet State at least once, which probably means that its more or less gone now. Kanade tried to talk her sister out of fighting her, but Hikibi isn’t buying Kanade’s insurance anymore and a fight breaks out. If this ever gets animated or becomes a visual novel, I would love to see the Hibiki vs Kanade fight animated as its brilliant, its epic and it’s just so satisfying to see Kanade getting the living snot beaten out of her. You could argue that Nikei’s mauling of Kanade was like that but there, Nikei was more or less in grief due to Iroha’s death and the whole thing was as painful to watch as the final fight in Captain America: Civil War, not saying what because spoilers ahoy. Here though is a glorious battle, as Hibiki gets to deliver justice onto her demonic sister and it is SO SO satisfying, given that a reset happens shortly afterwards.
And sadly, with that, we come to easily the weakest part of not only this part of the arc, but the arc overall, Yasuke’s multiverse theory. It could be written better, and even the Mod agrees that the way it was presented shouldn’t have been the way it worse, that having Umeko throw some ideas at Hajime and him coming to the conclusion that they might have been living in a multiverse be better narrative then Yasuke be like ‘Oh hey I am suddenly an expert on Time Travel now’. It would make Hajime breaking his no kill rule that much more impactful as he doesn’t have the excuses of not only Nikei’s who was currently going through a mental breakdown, and in the current plot where Yasuke more or less planted the seed of doubt in Hajime’s mind. Yasuke still has a role to play in this arc but during the Massacre timeline, I feel like he could have been removed entirely from the plot and not only would it have made no difference, but then most readers wouldn’t be complaining about it as much as Yasuke being a general A-hole wouldn’t tick them off. I’m not saying ‘THIS IS AS BAD AS ONCOMING STORM’ as that Arc was just a giant clusterfuck of a mess, and aside from this one part, the arc is very strong overall, but I will give criticism when due. I’m not mentioning my thoughts on Yasuke as a whole here because he’s more relevant in other parts of the Arc. However, Hajime killing Kanade and himself at the same time is brilliant and seeing Kanade begging for her life as Hajime throws her out of the window is so satisfying given not only all the crap she has been dealing up until that point, but also because in SDAR2, she was 100% fulfilled with the events at that point and given it was HIBIKI who was begging for her life then, let’s just say karma is a bigger bitch then Kanade is.
And that concludes the Massacre part of the Arc as Hajime kills himself and Kanade at the same time and he goes back to just before Nikei started to have indecent thoughts. No time to look at the 3rd page of the national newspapers’ boy, we got a serial killer to stop! And with that I’m stopping here as the Massacre part is finished. But this review is far from over, this is just here because otherwise my, the Mod’s and everyone else’s brains won’t be able to process all of this. Stay tuned for part 2 when we cover Kanade’s capture, a scrum debate among the QC and a bold move by the Mod which I do wish will come up more! Until then, Adios! - Review Anon

A DR3 ANALYSIS
Sincerely, someone who is sick of people saying that it doesn't match up to cannon.
I decided to take this from a discord server I am in after multiple people asked me to put it online for the world to see, so -deep breath- here is my personal essay using quotes and screencaps from sdr2 as to how dr3 doesn’t stray from cannon, and sticks to the continual lore from the series. Y’all are just mean.
okay so we will start with since that seems to be the main controversial topic. first lets start with people saying it strays from cannon. it doesn't. the statement of brainwashing being what caused the remnants to fall to despair in sdr2 is clearly stated.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there's no mistake that this particular trope is taken from the final trial in sdr2
if you want to say that how the brainwashing is brought up is lazy writing, i can tell you that adding an entire developed character to explain how such a trope found its way into the lore of the  into the anime is not lazy. character development takes a lot of time, and is in no way lazy. not to mention it also explains how the brainwashing technology found its way into ultra despair girls in the first place. (ie: the helmets worn by all of the children. With a remnant of despair in the city, it could easily be how Monaca got her hands on that technology.)
if you want to say it takes away from junkos influence as a character and makes her less powerful then i raise her character trait of using every person she comes into contact with. it is in NO WAY out of character for her to use someone else's talent for her own gain. she uses matsudas tech for wiping memory of the kids in dr1 (see dr0), she uses monaca and her position in the towa family to spread technology for the end of the world (see udg), she uses mukuro as her personal bodyguard (see the ENTIRE SERIES), she uses izuru to shift the blame from her for the tragedy so she can fly under the radar in the killing game for dr1, (see dr0 and dr3)
Going to now jump to how the brainwashing does not take away from the remnants had done as far as the atrocities they committed. The whole theme in the hope arc was redemption. The remnants in the ANIME itself go out of their way to say that they dont expect forgiveness for what theyve done. and that they only seek atonement in any way that they can when they are speaking with mitarai as he is debating shutting down the other brainwashing thing that he has set up through the future arc.
I would provide screenshots but the only version of the anime i can find online is dubbed with no subtitles. but you can feel free to watch it yourself? The episiode itself is pretty easy to find.
if you wonder how the brainwashing is undone, watch the ova. World Destroyer is an alter ego created by hajizuru himself modified to do psychodives and repair damaged psych from within the neo world program. its implied that he ran that ai on every student who died within the program who not only patched up their brain from thinking it died, but helped revive them from despair as well.for the survivors of the killing school trip, we already know that they were already on the mend from despair due to awakened hajime glitching out the program for them to create their OWN future at the end of sdr2
going onto chiaki.  just rewatched this scene so im going to type this word for word as it comes up in the dr3 dub so that i dont get anything wrong. this is the imaginary chiaki talking to hajime as they are on the boat.
"that day when you entered the neoworld program, a cutting edge ai was built. codename nanami. First, they mined your hippocampus, compiled memories of esteemed authority figures, and the idea was to fuse those memories into a single personality that you could all trust. Imagine the surprise when it turned out they didnt have to bother.one memory overrode the rest. It was the same for all of you. Strange yes, but undeniably sweet. there was one person you'd all give anything to see again."
This explains how chiaki, though previously a real person, was also given an ai version of herself within the neo world program. it also gives a lot more weight to her character in the story in general.
as far as people saying chihiro made chiaki, that is not the case. Chihiros research was used in the development of the neoworld program. as well as matsudas (as the neurologist), and gekogaharas (as the therapist) at no point did it say that they ACTUALLY worked on the program. just that their research was used. ai chiaki likely refers to chihiro as her father and alter ego as her brother because it was chihiros tech that made her life possible within the program. even in her ftes its stated that she does not think of them in the streamline way that a human being thinks of family.
Okay so i've covered brainwashing, chiakis existence in both worlds, and the brainwashings somehow resolving the remnants of blame. (though it didnt) i think the other thing was nagitos despair?
so the thing about the brainwashing that i think gets misconstrued a lot is that it was NOT shown to change their core personalities. but it DID addict them to despair in the same way junko was, and nagitos core personality obviously revolves around hope.
Nagito has always been a character that bordered between hope and despair. even in dr2 hajime makes a point to say that his eyes a swirling with a mix of the two in the first trial. what seems to be the case post brainwashing is that nagito is a walking contradiction. he will do things under the influence of the brainwashing and wont question them until he thinks too hard about it. every time he thinks to hard about it he seems to have a mental break.
like when izuru states in drs "if you hate junko then explain your hand"
and he goes "huh... thats strange... do i... hate her?"
queue: "huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh"
or at the end of udg where he states that he hates AND loves her more than anyone else.
he cant coherently see what hope used to be to him anymore and for him, his ORIGINAL  want for hope was to find someone strong enough to not be killed by his luck
but that got skewed to a MUCH more junko-esque view post brainwashingh. i think those are the main topics that get debated if theres anything else you want me to lay out let me know or i can go more into detail if theres more that you want to know regarding these topics. otherwise i think i got my thoughts laid out now. You can even feel free to message me if you want a more thorough breakdown of the series.

RP Hooks––––
Etched in Blood and Ink: Chiaki was born into the Setsuri-kai criminal syndicate in Yanxia and committed countless crimes in their name over the course of twenty five years, including a few hits against high-profile targets. Their reputation as the Setsuri-kai's top enforcer has carried over into common knowledge, though only vague descriptions of their appearance exist. The irezumi covering Chiaki from neck to knees reflects their criminal background, spinning a sordid tale of violence and death for those who know what to look for. They typically keep most of their tattoos covered but... well, nobody's perfect a hundred percent of the time.
On the Lam: This ties into the first one: Chiaki is a criminal on the run, both from their past and those that would see them dead for it. The vengeful relative of someone they rubbed out, a bounty hunter looking to drag them to Othard for a heaping pile of koban, or another criminal who wants them dead for a breach of conduct - all and more might have a reason to want Chiaki’s head on a pike. Talk with me and we can work something out!
The Professional: Since escaping to Eorzea, Chiaki has made a living as a mercenary, exchanging their skill at arms for the gil necessary to keep a roof over their head and food on their table. Despite their best attempts to keep a low profile, Chiaki is starting to develop a reputation for their professionalism - and the brutal efficiency with which they carry out their missions. Need something dead? Chiaki can get it done. Looking for a bodyguard? Chiaki’s got your back. Too lazy to pick your own flowers? Don’t worry - no task is too small if it pays the bills.
The Little Mountain: Chiaki possesses strength far beyond that of a normal person, courtesy of a powerful and uniquely-manifested attunement to earth aether. While carrying out more mundane tasks, its not uncommon to find them lifting and carrying heavy loads by themself (though more unwieldy containers still require assistance!). Witnessing such a sight might pique someone's curiosity.
OOC Information––––
Server: Balmung
Contact Info: Chiaki Tensen ingame, ElectricSeagullColony#6693 on Discord. Please check out my Carrd as well!
Preferred RP Platform: Ingame, but willing to use Discord.
Roleplay Style: I generally keep to small posts (one paragraph at most) in busy public spaces (such as the Quicksand) but I'm open to longer, more indepth descriptions when the situation warrants.
Preferred Narratives: Honestly I’m just about willing to play out any sort of narrative, but I do have a few preferences. Adventure-flavored stuff is dope and something I would like to do more of, as well as combat-oriented roleplay. I generally prefer not to use /random when doing a combat scene (especially vs. non-player characters), but I understand why people like/prefer it and I'm not adverse to using it. Relationship roleplay is fine if that's where the story takes us, but I'm not going out of my way to seek it. Despite Chiaki’s background, I am not seeking out criminal/yakuza-themed roleplay, though more “morally grey” stuff is just fine. Typically I like to plan scenes out, but not particularly in-depth, just enough to generally establish what's going to happen and then we can take it from there.
Themes: I'm open to mature themes, such as graphic violence, foul language, drug use, etc., as mentioned above. In the very unlikely case that a scene starts to grow uncomfortable for me, I'm not afraid to vocalize it to whoever I'm roleplaying with. That said, potential roleplay friends, if there are things that do disturb you please let me know ahead of time so I don't inadvertantly make you uncomfortable! Roleplay is here to be fun and the last thing I want to do is ruin someone else's good time by being a bit overly-descriptive with violence, for example.
Miscellaneous: Headcanon and lore-bending friendly, if that wasn’t entirely obvious! If I enjoy RPing with you I’m definitely willing to go with whatever you’ve got going on, so long as it doesn’t explicitly fly in the face of what the game has established. Basically - if the game hasn’t provided a hard no on something, I’m generally willing to say yes. I will not engage people roleplaying canon characters - if that’s what you wanna do, go right ahead, but I’m not game. Finally, if you have any questions/want to know more - ask! I’m probably pretty friendly. Thanks for reading!

The Masterlist
The sum total list of characters I play as. I maintain two accounts for the purposes of RPing multiple characters in a scene/event.
After each character, a brief summary. In the future, I will expand upon these so each has their own page.
My characters are for the most part lore-abiding. None 100% directly contradict canon, but some stretch it (quite) a bit more than others. Note that in the case of the Lee and Wae families, especially, they are eccentric, and despite their claims it is inconclusive whether they’re actually correct or not. What your character believes is not dictated to you.
Account 1:
Trudy Bays: Seeker of the Sun exiled from her tribe because the only thing she was good at was stealing, something she is extremely good at, but did through compulsion only and can’t ‘turn on’ as an ability. Now she’s joined a traveling troupe of stage performers, and wears a cavalcade of clashing, garish colors because she just really likes bright colors.
- Annabel Lee-Wae: Youngest daughter of Amelia Lee-Wae and Gerard Wae (deceased), her rebellious nature has led her to trying to perform acts of charity for others. Her general dumbassery, exacerbated by her cloistered upbringing, has led her to be near-totally incompetent.
- Kagome Voulaizun: Writer for The Crucible, absolute dumbass. Exiled from Ishgard, a place she refuses to state she’s from - indeed, she insists she’s the reincarnation of an ancient Doman hero. At best, she only ever half-knows what she’s talking about. Will condescendingly explain to a Doman why they’re wrong about their own country’s history rather than accept she might be wrong.
- Amelia Lee-Wae: Mother to Annabel, Ebony, and Tara. Sister to Lulu. Widow of Gerard Wae. Outcast from the Lee family of Ul’dah for her refusal of an arranged marriage in favor of marrying a self-made “new money” rich man, Amelia was once a terrifyingly powerful black mage known as The Crimson Witch.
Unfortunately for her, and fortunately for everyone else, in her old age and in grieving her deceased husband she has grown increasingly detached from reality and her crackpot theories about the nature of magic and Ul’dahn history culminated in her quietly being confined to the Wae Manor, save for rare (supervised) travels outside. The final straw was when she insisted that the Ul line is illegitimate due to the “fact” that Lalafell are descended from Mhachi mammets and therefore not people.
- Lulu Lee-Williams: Crime lord from Ul’dah, moved to Thavnair to escape the Lee family’s insistence she marry a man. Instead married a Thavnairian noblewoman, using the strength of this connection, her own magical prowess and raw determination to forge a half-cult, half-criminal empire.
Her followers are chosen from the poorest and most vulnerable, and she manipulates and indoctrinates them until she’s satisfied their loyalty is unshakable. Any who fail she eradicates and uses for her own magical ends. She has intentionally created a structure which cannot stand past her own death, and has curried all the power and influence she has for the ultimate goal of destroying the Lee family.
Their crime of casting her out will see them destroyed, once and for all, and Lulu will see to it that her darling nieces Ebony and Tara inherit what’s left of the Lees. Cunning, dangerous, a witch through and through, Lulu is not to be trifled with.
-
Lacina Lune: A Viera once kidnapped by Garlemald and turned into an experimental brainwashed assassin, Lacina has since been cut loose after a bout of mental instability had her deemed too much a risk to carry on. Instead of executing her, she was dumped into Eorzea to, the Garleans presumed, wreak as much havoc as possible.
Instead, she has fallen to delusion. Unable to accept that she failed her final mission, she instead believes her target has faked his death and gone into hiding. She pursues him relentlessly, a phantom she can never catch, while making plans for the future she cannot hope to fulfill without accepting the reality she fundamentally and categorically denies. Fascinated by music and obsessed with perfection, she does her best to function in the world but finds doing so increasingly difficult.
-
Coulement Williquette: Dravanian hunter, hailing from Tailfeather, Coulement is a simple man. Stifled by cities and only at home when on the hunt, he is a dedicated and capable monster hunter. Coulement is good-natured, kind of an idiot, and strives to be something of a hero, but his severe difficulties understanding Spoken have been his primary inhibitor. Coulement is presently engaged in hunting a legendary creature with his girlfriend (?) Alya, a far more cerebral hunter who is a perfect counterpart to him
-
Jaraku Drake: A bard with a long and storied past, Jaraku is ultimately a man defined by his passions and talents. His overwhelming love for and devotion to his wife Issabel Drake, whose last name he adopted, drive every action he takes and every move he makes.
Zwynmaga Doesmagasyn: Bastard son of the dread pirate Doesmaga, Zwynmaga has carried the burden of his birth his entire life. Rather than lash out at the world which so cruelly compared him to his father before he could even walk, Zwynmaga has instead devoted himself to proving all his detractors wrong. Where he is expected to be cruel, he delivers kindness. Where he is expected to be defiant, he offers fealty.
He is a firm Lominsan patriot and member of the Maelstrom, and his achievements (despite his relatively young age) are already impressive to behold. From his flagship the Reconciliation, he has brought more than one renegade pirate to justice, and been a thorn in the side of Garlean shipping time and again. Every last member of his crew are absolutely devoted to him, and he runs his ship with a level of professionalism far more in line with a proper military than anything which could be confused with a pirate ship.
Zwynmaga is childhood friends with his navigator Swyggsyg, and his first mate Hyltbryda.
-
Ryoko Kasai: (In)famous yakuza operating out of Kugane, head of the Kasai-gumi, and fire-obsessed engineer. Kasai is something of an enigma to most - her history shrouded in mystery. All that is clear is that she burst onto the scene with a vengeance some six years past, and has since then carved out a comfortable niche for the Kasai-gumi. Keeping her organization small, highly-capable and devoted, Kasai looks ever-outward for opportunities to expand, and spread her fire across the realm.
-
Chiaki Ishimoto: A creature most commonly termed a “vampire”, a term she takes offense to yet offers no satisfying alternative to, Chiaki is a ranking member of a Hingan secret society which exists to defend Hingashi from threats supernatural. Chiaki herself is specialized in the treating with and binding of creatures which cause trouble in and around Kugane. An exceedingly dangerous opponent in a fight with centuries of experience behind her, Chiaki had until quite recently grown complacent. Only after being shown she is not infallible has she begun focusing on self-betterment.
Chiaki despises Eorzea and has no interest in ever returning if she can possibly help it, and views Kugane as her own private treasure. One she defends with her life.
- Rydia Misuto: Survivor of the burning of Monzen, Rydia has been severely traumatized by the stark contrast between living with her kindhearted mother and watching the very same mother be violently killed in the attack. Near-broken by her single-minded lust for power and revenge, Rydia has done everything she is able to apply her unique tenacity towards her ultimate goal: Becoming strong enough to make sure, once and for all, that the Garleans never return to Doma.
Rydia is loosely inspired by the character Rydia from Final Fantasy IV.
Asagao Shiragiko: Hingan samurai who denounced the corrupt government of Hingashi but, rather than fight it directly, has instead resolved to spread knowledge and teaching to as many as she can, and thus empower the peasantry towards a peaceful revolution. Her lack of visible progress despite over a decade of work is starting to wear thin on her.
Asagao is exceptionally capable as a samurai, but certainly not the best alive.
Account 2:
Tabatha Tombclutch: Tabatha, or “Tabby”, rarely ever gives her last name to others. Instead, she self-styles herself the infamous “Tombclutch”, a grave robber and tomb explorer with zero respect for any of the historical ground she treads beyond stealing the most appealing items there. She does not fence any of her acquisitions, and gains nothing from them but the rush of success. Instead, she squirrels them away - so that her wealthy parents remain unaware of what their daughter’s been doing those nights she spends off on her own.
Tabby uses her cover as an archaeologist to find the best places to rob, and has absolute certainty in herself due to a unique power she has cultivated, through the aid of a tutor whose motives are far from benevolent. Casting aside the thaumaturgical lessons her parents sent her to, Tabby has instead delved into the magic of ‘luck’. The upside is it allows her to sharpen her senses to a supernatural degree, and gives her a sense for danger far more honed than most, as well as allowing her to manipulate minor aspects of fate around her (such as dice rolling or card games.)
The downsides to this power are that it can be unreliable, and that the use of it casts a bright aetherial beacon around herself, one which is extremely easy to detect. She is unaware of this fact. In combat, she prefers to run away and fights only to escape. She “justifies” her actions to herself by refusing to kill Spoken, and will go out of her way to risk her own life to save a pursuer if they would otherwise die as a result of her own actions. To some scant few, this has ingratiated the “Tombclutch” as a hero of sorts. But in Nald’Thal-worshiping Ul’dah, robbing the dead cannot be forgiven.
Gaelle Troyes: Former Ishgardian knight, now exiled, Gaelle has devoted her life to being a living, walking mockery of everything Ishgard believes. By taking her superb skills in reading others and applying it to “fortune-telling”, Gaelle manipulates those she gives “readings” to towards ends which remain unclear to most.
Ultimately, she wants to mock the gods, spread chaos, and better the lives of people she finds worth it along the way.
Gaelle has sworn an oath of pacifism she will die before she breaks, a direct spit in the eye to the country that tried to make her into a weapon. Despite her act, no reading of hers should be taken as in-setting being an actual divine message, though what those she hoodwinks believes is of course up to them.
Kyou Hurekakuko: Hingan tattoo artist from Bukyo, Kyou is the inheritor to a school of tattooists which trace their lineage back generations... Or so she thinks. In reality, despite her impressive skill, her mentor decided it best she be pushed to start her own business, as she is too abrasive to become the face of his. Kyou is presently ‘exiled’ to Kugane by the Bukyo Yakuza for assisting Kasai, and her overwhelming egotism earns her few friends.
Still, it can’t be denied that when she knows someone enough to ‘peer into their soul’, she can swiftly identify the perfect tattoo to represent them as a person, and ‘empower’ them. If they were to allow her to use her magic-infused inks, that is.
That’s only if she can be bothered to care, of course.
-
Clyde Arrowny: Known as “Shadow”, he is a shinobi in dedicated service to Cardelica Tachibana, and tolerates no threats or slights against his master. A stark contrast to the cheery and optimistic girl, Shadow is noteworthy for being acutely stoic and grim. He uses a variety of glamours to move about Kugane and keep tabs on individuals of note who may either be of aid or a threat to his master, and responds accordingly.
An exceptionally-powerful shinobi, Shadow has been said to be the equal to a hundred men on the battlefield. The reality of this has never been tested.
Shadow is explicitly inspired by the character of the same name from Final Fantasy VI.
-
Gerrith Gaffgarion: An ex-Ala Mhigan national, Gerrith is an absolute monster of a man who revels in violence and killing. A Dark Knight whose powers grew twisted and far more malevolent than his mentor could allow, Gerrith slew his own mentor to ensure his own skills would be all the more valuable.
A villain through-and-through, he has spent decades as one of the more feared mercenaries operating across Thanalan and La Noscea. Despite charging exorbitant fees for his services, Gerrith has zero actual desire to amass wealth, and exclusively uses it to either pay his lone ‘partner’, create self-sustaining cash flow, and facilitate the continuation of his grim work through bribery and other such means. Gerrith has a well-reputation for leaving no survivors wherever he is hired to attack.
Gerrith Gaffgarion is loosely inspired by Goffard Gaffgarion from Final Fantasy Tactics.
- Gui Charlemalde: A Gridanian adventurer, Gui was adopted by Duskwights as an infant, and has since grown to be one of the most kindhearted people in all the Black Shroud. Electing to inherit his father’s mantle as an adventurer, so that his elder brother would not feel guilt over following his dreams of being a carpenter, Gui has spent every day of his adult life with a very plain mission:
Do all the good he can.
Choosing to focus on smaller threats and problems than most, Gui firmly believes the role of an adventurer is to help those who otherwise would not be helped. No job is too small, no task is beneath him, so long as it is to help those in dire need.
In recent times, Gui has grown painfully aware that he has been cursed from birth to carry a voidsent in his blood which he is increasingly at odds with. His overwhelming positivity and commitment to his own good-naturedness have kept the voidsent mostly at bay, so far. But for how long can such a thing last?
-
Tange Shishido: Aged Doman samurai, severely injured in years past, Tange seeks to train all she can in her art so as to prepare another generation of samurai to defend Doma. The older he gets, the more her injuries hold her back, but in her day she was unquestionably one of the most powerful samurai in the realm.
Tange’s acceptance of ijin as students, contingent on their swearing an oath to defend Doma if ever the country needs them, has made her unpopular with many, but she has a long history of eschewing tradition wherever she feels it stifling her.
-
Ebony Wae: Eldest (by minutes) twin sister of Tara Wae, eldest sister to Annabel Lee-Wae, and oldest not-disowned child of Amelia and Gerard Wae, Ebony is a driven businesswoman with tyrannical tendencies. Devoted to an unorthodox cult of Nald’Thal espoused by her family, Ebony secretly thinks of herself as the incarnation of Nald. With a careful eye to the family businesses, and an insatiable appetite for expansion, the only things holding Ebony back are her insistence on fair treatment of employees, and the handful of distractions she often allows to get in her way.
Most notably among these are her love of combat and the thrill of the hunt, and her preoccupation with making sure Tara is able to find a husband of high enough quality to be worth continuing the family line with.
Ebony cherishes her Aunt Lulu, and is exceedingly protective of her little sister Annabel. Trained in the ways of the Dark Knight by a tutor who regretted the contract almost immediately, Ebony is prone to violence and destruction as her preferred solution to any problems or threats which arise, so long as she remains within the confines of her obsession with obeying the letter of the law.
Ebony and her sisters have a variety of beliefs which are foreign to the common resident of Thanalan, chiefly that hoarding money is a sin against Nald because the exchange of currency is how Nald expresses Himself. Between this and many other ideological anomalies, her radical and unusual beliefs have led her to accidentally be one of the more beneficial people in Thanalan to the region’s well-being.
-
Kogyoku Yuzuka: Yakuza, member of the Kasai-gumi, absorbed into the organization during first wave of expansion through Kugane. Kogyoku is a skilled fighter and loyal member of the organization. She is often paired with her best friend Ken, a Roegadyn who towers over her. The two make an effective duo - Ken’s brazenness tempered by Kogyoku’s cool-headed rationality.
-
Adroit Aegolius: Going by a pseudonym designed to innately test the knowledge of everyone he meets, Aegolius is a Sharlayan researcher come to Eorzea to learn more about Blue Magic. One of the younger children of a large Sharlayan family, Aegolius has used his family’s sway - with his eldest brother’s support - to allow himself the freedom to fully explore the potential of this new field of magic, contingent on having something to show it was worth the funding upon his return.
Aegolius is a smooth-talker who seeks out opportunities to enjoy life while he’s still young, but at the same time yearns for the days in decades to come when it is him who is the aged, wise wizard passing knowledge and judgment down to those beneath him.
Hyltbryda Eyrieynwyn: First mate to Zwynmaga Doesmagasyn, Hyltbryda is a rough-and-tumble Roegadyn who’s far more playful and competitive than her more reserved captain. Hyltbryda frequently challenges those she likes to competitions of physical strength and endurance, and has beaten more than a few people swimming back and forth along the docks of Aleport. She uses a spear in combat, a tradition she has kept onto after defeating a haughty Ishgardian in a fight with one.
Hyltbryda is often the source of minor pranks on the crew, and enjoys messing with those she likes in good-natured ways. Hyltbryda is dating Lee Whims.
-
Kavatch Beamsplitter: A Nagxian monk who emphasizes strength over all else, the “Beamsplitter” is noted for his single-minded devotion to bettering the world through what he sees as the only possible way to do so:
Tempering those who can weather his stern outlook, and breaking those who cannot.
Kavatch is brutal and forward-focused, always striving towards a place where he has enough strength to shape the world to his whims. To change the face of Hydaelyn to match his ideal: a world where the strongest rule and protect the weak, and anyone can rise to the top through self-betterment. Where positions of power must be fought for to be maintained, and the infirm or incompetent are ousted in short order by those wiser and more capable below them.
Kavatch has disdain for those who fight using entirely mechanical means, such as firearms. In his eyes, the truest expression of perfection is the ability to fight with one’s own body and spirit, eschewing all other ‘distractions’.
Kavatch set out on a journey, recently, telling the students of his school that those most experienced among them should build up the rest, and that he would teach them more when they were able to find and defeat him - not a moment before.

//Ok, so admittedly last night after I finished posting, I was obsessing over this, so I thought up a whole bunch of Persona ideas for the 77th Class.
//Some of these are a bit of a stretch and need changing, because I basically just pulled them out of my ass, but this is what I got.
//Bare in mind, I chose these assuming we were following the Persona 4 Party Persona system where they’re all based on Japanese or Hindu gods.
//Also, if these choices are already demons that exist within the Persona and SMT series...it doesn’t matter to me. Yukari’s final Persona was Isis in Persona 3, but Isis has appeared in the series since taking on different appearances, so it doesn’t really matter in terms of overlap.
//Also, I’m not thinking too hard about Arcana’s with these. The choice I picked for Fuyuhiko is a Temperance Persona in the main series, but personally I associate Fuyu with the Hanged Man over most others, so just keep that in mind.
//So as established, Hajime gets Shiva, Mahiru gets Parvati and Akane, in my mind, gets Amanozako. Here are the rest of them.
Chiaki - Kikurihime: The kami enshrined at the Shirayamahime Jinja shrine, alongside Izanagi and Izanami. Also known as Shirayamahime-no-Okami. It is the actions of Kikuri-Hime that established the duty of Miko (Japanese priestess) of communicating with the netherworld on behalf of the living one. She has also been known as a goddess of mediation and matchmaking since ancient times. Given that Chiaki is the mediator of most conflicts between Class 77, both in DR2 and DR3, I think it goes well.
Nagito - Alakshmi: The Hindu deity of misfortune. As the embodiment of all that is inauspicious, including disease and poverty, Alakshmi was worshiped to prevent such tragedy’s. The reason I picked this one specifically is not just because of the Hindu ties, but also because it ties back to Nagito’s character and philosophy in almost every way. Alakshmi is the opposite of Lakshmi, and needs to be “removed” from the devotee’s home before Lakshmi and her blessings can come in. Much like how Nagito believes that Hope can only shine brightest when faced with dismal despair.
Nekomaru - Take-Minakata: Originally I was thinking of giving Nekomaru Take-Mikazuchi, because I think that really works for him. But that’s Kanji’s Persona in the original Persona 4 and in case we didn’t want any overlap, I instead went with the alternative part of the lore. When the dieties of the heavens came down to increase their power over the land, Take-Minakata went against Take-Mikazuchi in what was considered the first sumo match ever. He now serves as the deity of Lake Suwa, after losing both his arms in that sumo match.
Fuyuhiko - Jinkokuten: A guardian deity with fierce expression that protects the east of Buddha's realm. He is associated with the color white. In China, he is regarded as being harmonious and compassionate, using his pipa to play music in order to convert others to Buddhism. I myself, have associated Fuyuhiko as the white/yin to Peko’s black/yang, and also despite being an Ultimate Yakuza, he’s proven to be an incredibly compassionate man, and always looks out for everyone.
Peko - Shinigami: Hey Rain Code fans~ I know what you’re probably thinking, and no, I’m not talking about THAT kind of Shinigami. In Japanese mythology Shinigami are kami that invite humans toward death in certain aspects of Japanese religion and culture. Shinigami have been described as monsters, helpers, and creatures of darkness. The reason I went for this is because originally I was going to pick Mara, but given what Mara actually is in the main series...I am NOT giving it to Peko, even if it changes appearance.
Teruteru - Iwakamutsukari-no-Mikoto: Iwakamutsukari-no-Mikoto is the god of cooking housed at Takabe Shrine. I...don’t think I need to say much more than that. It’s name is a mouthful though, so I can only imagine how Teruteru would be saying it.
Gundham - Tamamo-no-mae: The immediate issue I had with Gundham was I planned to give him either the Hindu or Japanese god of wildlife, but that would have left me with Aranyani; a goddess with the complete opposite moniker of him, or Sukuna-Hikona, a Persona already possessed by Naoto in the original game. So I changed up my thinking and went with something that I thought would be cool. The links to Gundham through this point are 1 - Tamamo-no-mae is a chaotic being, much like Gundham is, 2 - Tamamo-no-mae themselves are a fox spirit, so the animal stuff is there, and 3 - they had ties to royalty, famously causing problems and corrupting them. Arguably, much like Gundham did to Sonia (or maybe the other way around? Either way...)
Sonia - Zorya: Ok, since Sonia is a foreigner and isn’t originally from Japan, I decided to break the rule with her on this occasion. Her Persona is based on a figure in Slavic folklore, a feminine personification of dawn, widely known as the  goddess of the morning star. She is also sometimes depicted as a warrior goddess who takes lead over armies and protects men in battle, tying it to Sonia’s role as a queen as well as how she’s surprisingly badass when she wants to be.
Kazuichi - Kanayago-kami: This one is pretty straightforward. a Kami of metal and metal-working, who, as believed by blacksmiths, lives mainly in Chugoku Region. I know Kazuichi isn’t a blacksmith, but this is what I picked over Honokagutsuchi, and THAT mess of a story. A god of metal working for a kid who...works with metal! (Also ignore the part of the lore where Kanayago-kami hates women and likes corpses, we don’t talk about that...)
Mikan - Kishimojin: Mikan gets this one because of how the story symbolizes her tragic past as both an abuse victim and a mass homicidal maniac, and how she’s working towards a life where she’s healthier, happier and more sound of mind, despite everything she went through. Kishimojin was originally a spiteful diety who ate children, but moved on and eventually became the goddess of children, thanks to the influence of Buddha showing her the consequences of her actions.
Ibuki - Ame-no-Uzume: I didn’t even have to think about this one. If you’ve played ANY of the Persona games, you would have at least heard Ame-No-Uzume’s history come up once. She once restored light to the earth by performing a nude dance to lure out Amaterasu, the sun god, who was hiding in a cave. Not saying Ibuki would do something of this caliber, but the random crazy solution that Ame-no-Uzume had to the issue definitely seems like an Ibuki-esque solution. Plus, Ame-no-Uzume herself is a goddess of the arts and revelry, two things Ibuki is synonymous for.
Ryuji/Imposter - Janus: I broke the rules again for Ryuji because his point of origin is unknown, thus I feel I can take the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, frames, and endings. The reason I picked them is because of their multiple faces, symbolizing how Ryuji is able to adopt any identity and face at will.
Ryota - Shishigami: More commonly referred to as the forest spirit, Shishigami is a godly creature from the Studio Ghibli movie, Princess Mononoke. It is known as a god of life and death. Like I did with Kuripa, his Persona being based on a Phantom Thief from an old anime series, I gave Ryota a fictional god from a Japanese anime movie.
//That’s what I came up with, and I should note that I don’t have one for Hiyoko, because I have NO IDEA what to go with for her. The gods of dance from Japanese and Hindu religion respectively are Ame-No-Uzume and Shiva respectively, which we’ve already used.
//But yeah, I might be a little bit obsessed with both Persona AND Danganronpa.
-Mod.
Rpg Anon: I might as well talk about this. I don't completely intend to give class 77 all Hindu Personas but for Akane, I can't help but be stuck with the idea of giving her Kali. It's just way too similar between them. Absolute Bloodthirsty for battle and killing? Check. Dark skin? Check? Constant Hungry Appetite? Well, Kali doesn't eat her enemies but she sure does love actually drinking their blood and wearing their body parts as clothes, so Check.
My biggest concerns are this: ...Kali IS Parvati... Kinda. It's more like Parvati, who couldn't fight at all, needed to fight some guy who was blessed to not be able to be defeated by any male. So she basically reincarnated/morphed her being/had a personality switch (god powers are weird; just know they are different people but also the same person) into Durga. Durga kicked ass. But the guy was teaming up with a demon who kept spawning mini-selves from every drop of blood. Durga kept killing him but she got real fed up when an army came to be so she went bloodthirsty and became Kali who kicked every drop of blood. Kali clearly won but soon went on a rampage.
Now basically I'm just saying if I gave Akane Kali, it be weird cuz I'm basically saying Mahiru just suddenly morphed into Akane. I know Mahiru and Akane are good friends but idk about this.
And my second concern is this: You ever heard of those "step on me, mommy" memes. ...yeah... Shiva had to let Kali step and dance on him and turn into baby to get her to stop. (The baby part was cuz since Kali is still part Parvati, he knew that part of her would never harm a baby). I'm pretty sure Hajime is not into getting stepped on, by Akane or anyone.
//Yeah...no...
//Honestly, I think you would be better off giving Akane a different kind of Persona, maybe based on a God of different mythology.
//I have a suggestion for one: Amanozako.
//Amanozako was a monstrous goddess born from Susano-o keeping too much ferocity within himself until he vomited her out. Not only is there the link to Susano-o's stomach, but Amanozako reportedly liked to eat swords and other sharp weapons.
//Plus, Amanozako is a demon in the SMT series that hasn't appeared in Persona yet.

LINAAAA for the character bingo, albedo, klee, chiaki nanami, and tsumugi tsukioka?
YEAH LET'S GOOOOO
Tumblr media
i still don't really care about genshin boys (i just think they're kinda.. meh..) and my faves are aether and chongyun, but albedo is VERY close. HE'S SO PRETTY. lina your love for blond characters is showing again and i also get him on kin assignment quizzes all the time and ngl i do find him relatable 😭😭 i don't have much to say about him, i'm not an albedo lore expert, but i do like him! AND HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH KLEE IS EVERYTHING TO ME THEIR DYNAMIC IS SO CUTE.
Tumblr media
KLEE!! KLEE MY PRECIOUS DAUGHTER!! i literally have a poster of her and her acrylic figure wow i mention those quite often AND I LOVE HER SO MUCH. as i mentioned before, i'm also a klee kinnie and her character just makes me feel so safe and comforted 🥺🥺 i look at her and she instantly makes me smile!! and yes, i do have a habit of running like her (and other younger characters in genshin) now. I KNOW IT IS BASICALLY NARUTO RUN BUT IT FEELS DIFFERENT TO ME.
Tumblr media
so i've been talking a lot about characters that my younger self loved, WELL CHIAKI IS ACTUALLY A CHARACTER THAT I USED TO HATE WITH BURNING PASSION. i couldn't understand why people love her at all, i thought that she had no personality other than "cute gamer girl" and the only thing i liked about her was her design.. AND THE FUNNIEST THING IS THAT I ACTUALLY LOWKEY HAD A CRUSH ON HER. little lina really was like "oh i hate her so much, she's too boring, i also hate when people ship her with hajime.. she's kinda cute though.." WHAT IS THIS TSUNDERE BEHAVIOR. and now, i can finally say that i am proud of being a chiaki stan and i love her. AND I DO ALSO HAVE AN ACRYLIC FIGURE OF HER RHFRKDKFK. but tbh i still don't think she's that well-written, i really wish she had a more interesting personality, because even though i understand her much better now, i still feel like they could've done more with her :( haha mastermind!chiaki is one of my favorite aus
Tumblr media
okay, i actually don't know that much about winter troupe, when i was into a3, i found them.. the least interesting troupe tbh. LISTEN I JUST LIKED THE SUMMER TROUPE MORE OKAY THEY WERE MY FAVES. wow lina of course you'd love the summer troupe you are a summer child after all but i remember a lot of my a3 mutuals on twt liking tsumugi, so whenever they talked about him, i was like "he seems like a very nice man :)" AND I'M SURE HE IS. he's not really my type, but i can understand why you and so many other people love him!

Digimon Tamers: Best season of the franchise (Part 2)
So, back in the first part of this post I talked about Chiaki Konaka and how his work was the main reason for the deep and more mature tone of the third season of Digimon, also I tried to explain some things that I believe are important on the why this is in fact the best season of the franchise and those were the background and developing of the characters, the explanation of the lore and how the digital world works and the idea of the tamer and the importance of the bond between humans and Digimon.
Tumblr media
For this second part I will first talk about music. Since I’m a big music lover I always am aware of the soundtracks in anime, not only opening and endings but the actual background music and stuff and at least in my opinion Digimon Tamers has the best soundtrack for the series and this was a hard topic for me, I really like the first season soundtrack from the main songs to the ambient music and the characters themes but by a very little margin I think Tamers has a best soundtrack and is mainly because of the second OVA soundtrack (yeah in my personal comparison I also counted the movies of every season, real weeb or wut?) and the fighting and the enemy’s music was very good too helping a lot in the setting up of the action in every chapter (here are some examples of the soundtrack: a) Foes music, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXs2drs8NTY&list=PLpCd8KvOb2ftfHb1FrnkGrrq_U1GsY7CF&index=26 - b) ultimate/mega shinka evolution, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FocJt24eNa4&list=PLpCd8KvOb2ftfHb1FrnkGrrq_U1GsY7CF&index=55 - c) movie soundtrack, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-evig2n4gw&list=PLpCd8KvOb2ftfHb1FrnkGrrq_U1GsY7CF&index=106). To be clear, Tamers doesn’t have the best song or theme nor even my favorite one, but I think overall is the best one.
And since I already talked about the Tamer’s second OVA here goes the second reason in this post; “The Runaway Locomon Exprees” is the best OVA in the franchise. The animation is actually pretty good and has some fascinating action scenes like the ones happening inside Locomon (imagine a train because… well it is one) and since it is a OVA the action never stops. The plot is somewhat adrift from the actual season plot but it deepens on the Ruki’s father issue and it also covers some fan service presenting hints of Rukato (my favorite Digimon couple by far) it also has a good direction and some great shots or frames if you will like the one when Locomon atacks Beelzebumon and destroys its bike.
Tumblr media
Sadly, I couldn't make the upload service work in this post so no post of the frame I was talking about :(
Finally, Tamers has a solid story; with the "presenting the characters arc" being in the human world it doesn't lack good action and some deep s**t like the Galgomon almost killing Ruki. The second part is the Deva's invasion with some good fights and soundtrack for the foes it rapidly grows in danger for the tamers and the human world and it abruptly ends with Makuramon capturing Calumon and running away to the digital world where the third arc happens. The third arc has one of the best chapters and my personal favorite fight of all the seasons, the Megidramon/Dukemon vs Beelzebumon fight. The next arc is deep as the Marianas with Juri being corrupted by the D-Reaper virus and becoming and evil character (she even tried to choke his little brother to death, what a great show for kids right?). The season ends with an epic evolution and fight in with the different forms of the D-Reaper in the human world and the subsequent daparture of the digimon companions.
Wrapping up, please watch Digimon Tamers but trying to catch all the good things I pointed out in these two posts you won't regret it. I really mean it when I say it is the best season and I also really mean it when I say I'm a huge DIgimon weeb so I actually know what I'm talking about.
PD: Konaka said a couple years ago with the re boom of Digimon franchise because of the Digimon Tri OVA's that he's down to do a continuation of Tamers so yay for that.

Digimon Tamers: Best season of the franchise (Part 1)
I hope you all watched Digimon or at least the first season and I also hope that you loved it 'cause it's a really good anime for a children. So getting on the topic, Digimon Tamers is my favorite season of the Digimon series of wich I'm a huge fan and I like it the most because of several things but is mainly thanks to the work of one person:
Chiaki Konaka is a writer and scenarist that was noticed for his work in Serial Experiments Lain (If you haven't seen it yet, do it. In Lain explores themes such as identity, the idea of reality and is very dark being set in a cyberpunk kind of world) and then get to work in Digimon Adventure 02 but he left the project, leaving the arc of the black ocean midways (If you don't remember is the really sad/nihilistic/creepy part of Hikari being taunted by a mysterious voice to go to a different dimension that was neither the digital world nor the human world) and then got the offer to work in Digimon Tamers as chief writer. So you get the idea that a darker tone was being set from the beginning for this season, making it far more mature than the previous two.
The first thing we need to focus on is the characters background and development through the series. There are 3 main characters at the beginning: Matsuda Takato, Lee Jianliang and Makino Ruki. For these 3 (and for the rest of the tamers) he did a background story that would help develop their final concept, not only the characters design but also their psychology and traits, thus making their personalities an important part of the anime. There is a lot of development in the characters personalities; maturing or growing up is a concept that is very important setting up the plot and making it advance. There are a lot of examples of this last idea; Takato growing from being the childish, immature, coward boy to becoming a proper leader to the bunch, winning against his fears and learning how to actually do something to help the people he cared for or the really good development of Ruki from the cold, selfish and aggressive girl with serious trauma from her father leaving her and low self-esteem to the caring, compassionate, strong and confident girl eager to lend a hand to others.
The second thing I would like to point out is a little bit more of a Digimon weebfan-based argument. With this season the lore/creation and functioning of the Digimon World was explained more precisely and it has a lot to do with the later part of the history. In Tamers the digital world began to exist when human telecommunication started to develop and expanded alongside it, then the digimon were created by a group of investigators researching artificial intelligence and one of them, Shibumi, gave them the ability to evolve letting 4 of them evolve into especially powerful beings, the 4 digimon sovereign the guardians and rulers of the digital world. I personally enjoy a lot when the anime cares to explain the functioning of the world that it is set into and when it presents a well-constructed lore to support all the action happening and that’s why is something that makes this season shine more than the others.
The last thing that I will talk about in the first part of this post has to do with the idea of the tamer and the digimon companion. In this season there was some sort of “the chosen one” idea that was a big part of the first two seasons, but it wasn’t just that. The tamers differentiate from the chosen children in Adventure 01 and 02 not only by the way they get their digimon companions (mostly luck and a series of random events) but also by the idea of taming something. Digimon are feral creatures that must fight to empower themselves and survive in a hard world so it’s not easy to befriend them, this conflict happened a lot during the series being the critical example the incident with galgomon in chapter 3 (in this chapter galgomon almost shoots Ruki, another example on how this season was far more mature in content than the others). Also, the card system used to improve the battle capabilities of the digimon companion was really cool to me. The other thing that is different and very appealing to me is the idea of tamers merging with their digimon, this type of evolution can only be achieved through getting a deep bond with your digimon companion, plus the transformations were so good in the visual aspect.
And that's all for today's post, in the next one I will talk about some more things that makes this season the best one for me. See you all next month!
