Character info - Holding Up The Sky

Aveline King (she/her) -- ever since a car accident in her childhood left her without the ability to feel pain, aveline's life has been a constant downwards spiral, even if she's been able to hide that somewhat well. when she befriends someone, she bonds very closely with them, to atlas' great advantage. there is nothing in the world she'd shy away from to protect her friends (especially atlas), even at the cost of her own body and mind.

Atlas / Mutt (he/him, also it/its specifically as dehumanisation) -- an ex-pet. he's been trying to rebuild his life as a Real Human™, though he struggles with loneliness, substance abuse and lackluster help from his safehouse. aveline is the first person that makes atlas feel safe and they quickly grow inseperable but their bliss is not longlived. his old master is not done with him and this time, he indends to break atlas so thoroughly that there will be nothing left of the person he tried to be.

Aiden Doyle (he/him) -- a powerful politician with a sadistic streak. he originally bought atlas as a servant (and entertainment) but got fed up with his awful attempt at being anything other than an obedient pet. atlas wellbeing and his close friendship with aveline especially are a thorn in his side and he vows to erase any trace of it. unsurprisingly, aiden finds out that he is quite fond of torture and uses it as a way to redirect his anger, so that it doesn't affect his precious politics.
