I have the snow in my backyard but my heart is full of sunshine 😀 It was snowing the whole night in the UK. This sketch took me just a few minutes but much longer than creating the colourful version. I'm still not sure about the colours but I believe that done is better than perfect. Actually, what *would* Claire be like as a servant? She’s so chill and relaxed (how come by the way? They’re usually all grumpy) that it’s hard to picture her as fighting for something as dumb and pointless as the grail

If you mean Claire that is Snow and Serah’s daughter, she is most likely to be summoned as an Archer or Saber although she has done enough to qualify as an Assassin too with a very small chance of making it in as a Rider.

Her objective would probably be to win the Grail so that someone else crazier and more evil doesn’t. Although not as blatantly overpowered as her cousins (Diana and Averia say hi), she is still one of the greatest archers who ever lived, and her Semblance gives her the ability to beat almost anyone if she can land a hit.

In Fate terms, her Semblance would allow her to imbue objects with the ability to ‘destroy’ things on meta-conceptual level. Should that fail, she could also just imbue things with the power to create gigantic explosions. Keep in mind, one of the ways she is likely to beat a truly dangerous opponent (e.g.m Gilgamesh or Heracles) is to sucker them into thinking the effect only works on arrows… when in fact it is actually at its absolute strongest when it is applied in hand-to-hand combat.

If she was summoned with certain relics from her lifetime, she would be even more dangerous. When summoned as Grand Archer (she would qualify), she would definitely come complete with the weaponry Averia made her. That’s right, Claire at one point went around with a Saviour bow. This is important since her Semblance can work perfectly on Saviour projectiles because Saviour is where her Semblance comes from.

Now, if you mean Claire from Final Effect who has Saviour, her reasons are actually pretty similar to original Claire. The Grail is basically evil in the later Fate battles, so it has to be kept away from others or destroyed. Of course, she has a much easier time of it.

As an aside, FinalEffect!Claire can be summoned as a Rider class who has the hilarious Noble Phantasm of bringing forth the Spear of Arendelle, the flagship of the Arendelle Empire’s fleet since she was its commander so many times. Yeah. A 70+ km super dreadnought with the power to obliterate entire solar systems with ease is a nice Noble Phantasm to have.

When summoned as a Grand Rider, she doesn’t just summon the Spear, she summons the First Fleet, complete with both the Spear of Arendelle and the Averia, the battle station used by the empress whenever the battle requires an even safer and more powerful flagship than the Spear. That’s more than 10,000 of the finest ships in the Empire.
