FFXIV Mitas & Anma with their bff amongst the Scions !

Lyse & Mitas : The one braincell punch bffs. Tbh they liked each other from the get-go, but through Stormblood Mitas really grew to be one of Lyse's close friends (he admires her resilience and mental strength a lot). He regularly goes to visit her!!!

Thancred & Anma : The 'older siblings' of the Scions. Together they take on missions & duties they'd rather not have the others do. The dirtiest and most dangerous. But they're always there to get each other out. Or at least keep each other company in the pit.

Aerith and Maria Robotnik were born in different franchises because the universe knew they'd be an iconic duo

With those two flattened, there's no one to win the girl! How can the story possibly continue!?

How I feel about the story of Shadow Generations is a lot like how I feel about Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children. At least in regards to the parts of the movie that Aerith was in.

A big part of the story of FF7 is dealing with loss, grief, guilt, and ultimately moving on. The pain of death, and choosing life in the face of it. The fact Cloud never got to say goodbye to Aerith is a pretty important element of that games story.

But. It does still kinda linger. That desire for closure.

So having scenes where Cloud actually gets to talk to Aerith and ask for forgiveness and be reassured by her is nice. It fills the void.

That's a lot like how Shadow Generations makes me feel. Shadow moved on from the pain of Maria's loss. But it'd still be nice to get to say goodbye.

There's a difference between moving on and letting go. It feels like he can finally let go now, after this.

That's how I feel about it anyway.

i wish they'd make an FF6 anime but when they'd get to the opera house they dedicate an entire episode to the draco and maria opera and instead of being accurate to the game it's the full uncut version of the song complete with narration with little to no cutaways like the show completely stops dead in it's tracks for that one singular episode and becomes a full adaption of the opera
