Fina's arrest is one of the most brutal thing that we could have seen but after the initial shock, I thought a lot about it:
- I am sure that from this plot we will see Marta and Fina rise again, one more time, together and more in love. Like they always do. And in the end I love the drama, the suffering and the fight, so I will sit and enjoy it;
- they will always have to fight for their love and I think it was necessary for us to assist and suffer what could happen to a lesbian in 1958 Spain. Because in some part of the world nothing has changed, because we need to know what others before us have had to suffer to value what we have today. Even if it's not perfect and even if this kind of rapresentation is hard to watch;
Tumblr media
- like I said with an old post, Marta de La Reina always mantain her calm and composure unless someone or something threats to take Fina from her. And in this case she doesn't even try to be controlled in front of the guards, she phisically tried to take Fina back, she screamed and sweared that she will save her, no matter what. And this is so not-de La Reina style and I love it;
Tumblr media
- the fact that Marta break in pieces in front of Carmen and Claudia it's the proof (not that we need it) that her love for Fina is the only thing that really matters to her, more than anything, even more than her own incolumity and reputation;
Tumblr media
- despite the situation, the fear and everything that could go wrong, she goes to the prison anyway, she hugs Fina into the cell and I love it even more because they can't stay away from each other;
Tumblr media
- I don't know what will happen but, until now, everything came to its place and didn't deceptioned me. I really love to enjoy this show, I really really love to watch Marta and Fina story so I want to trust the process;
- the Mafin plot is the most interesting in the show, maybe I am not totally objective but the straights can kiss with all the tongues in the world and been showned in bed in every episodes but nothing will have the same chemistry, shown of love and the emotions that Marta and Fina give us!
Tumblr media
# hope Marta gets help from someone unaspected
# like Digna or Claudia
# hope even more that Marta makes Santiago suffer hell's pain
# always waiting for an amazing romantic gesture
#like a ring and a proposal
# followed by a sex scene in their house

Capítulo 7
- Mafin rewatch (Sueños de Libertad)
Fina in that green dress - she is beautiful. Damn. She also is Isidro’s daughter through and through, she too seem to have that way of getting people to open up, getting them to accept her advice and comfort. She is soft and reassuring as Claudia spills her mistakes with Tasio. And Fina’s hug looks so nice. I’m pretty sure this is what “everyone needs a bosom for a pillow” means and I agree, they do. To get lost in her embrace looks like it could solve a great many personal problems and maybe a few societal ones too. I don’t know if it’s the solution to climate change, but if 2025’s Nobel prize winners tell me it is - well I won’t be surprised. I also like that she one hundred percent share my exact opinion of Tasio, he is trash, unredeemable trash and should be avoided like the plague.
Tumblr media
Aww, Fina arguing her case that a marriage doesn’t equal happiness and that her father shouldn’t be so quick to wish one upon her. The old man really just wants her to be happy, you can tell though that it’s a conversation that makes her ill at ease because of the way she has to stretch and stitch the truth in her replies. I already know it’s going to hurt a lot when he later on rejects her.
Marta confronting Elena - I know that it won’t officially happen for another hundred plus episodes, but Marta is the boss. The way she just slides into that armchair and takes hold of the entire office with what seems like nothing more than an innate sense of authority and a raised eyebrow - yeah, she exudes in charge. But I enjoy the little exhale at the end as Elena leaves. Like so much of who Marta is at this point this too is a game face. Maybe she carries it with what looks like ease, but it might actually come at a fairly high price, just not one we’re allowed to see yet.
Tumblr media
Petra, I’m telling you - back off the Marta insults, or - If I remove myself from the narrative though, I love this. I love how they try to build Marta up as this stick in the mud, firm, cold and distant. Unsmiling, no sense of empathy, all business and with very little sympathy. If I hadn’t know what was to come maybe I’d buy it, maybe I’d laugh along with Petra as she mocks and says that Marta needs to smile more. Because yeah, all we’ve seen of her so far actually fits that vision of the demanding ice queen, except for these brief micro-expressions on Marta’s face when no one is looking, when she doesn’t have time to catch her true reaction. When Damian brings up marriage and children, when Elena turns her back, when Fina confronts her and tells her she demands a lot of respect. For a second you see something else, but only for a second, before it is hidden behind the wall again. So yeah, if I had watched this for the first time I would probably have thought of Marta as a bit of a bitch to approach with extreme caution.
Tumblr media
That said, back to the narrative, fuck Petra. Fina is a fucking cinnamon roll and I ache so hard for her as this woman clearly leads her on, only to slam the door in her face and call her disgusting as wine and a win makes Fina bold enough to go for a kiss. And invertida is never a slur I’ve had to personally experience, but the way it is delivered and the way it lands makes it feel like I share its burden too. It’s a slap in the face and I wish I could reach through the computer screen and return it, with interest.
Tumblr media
Marta’s relationship with her dad, ugh. She talks to him about being happy with being more involved in the company, getting a shot at running the business alongside her brothers. And what does Damian do? He turns the table on her and brings the conversation back to her marriage, talking about how it isn’t what he wanted for her. Granted it’s nice of him to want more than the isolation her current marriage gives her, but it’s also another dagger in Marta’s side, isn’t it? Whatever she does, or achieves, with her dad it always boils back down into her marriage, her role as a wife and the failure of it all. That shit really has to feel like someone ripping out the feathers of her wings every time she tries to take flight. It’s a nice parallel though of both Isidro and Damian wishing happiness and partnership for their daughters. I’m looking forward to when this will come full circle in 170 episodes and they discuss how their daughters have found just that, in each other.

Fina had to do everything with her hands just to keep her from holding Marta. She was desperate to touch her, to console her, hug her, kiss her. Just desperate. And it was heartbreaking.
Alba played Fina’s frustration and struggle to hold back beautifully. You could really feel her internal conflict over having to maintain distance and composure publicly while also wanting nothing more than to give Marta the physical connection and support she needed. 🥹
Tumblr media
I’m still hyper fixating on this moment:
The way Fina has her hand close to her throat, practically holding it, she felt like she had to control her voice so she wouldn’t completely lose it and break down crying.
Because she knew if she did, Marta would and if Marta did, so would she. Fina had to stay strong for her girlfriend in that moment, using her voice almost like a video game controller, to maintain her composure.
But you could HEAR the emotion in her voice, and SEE the flood gates in her eyes. That “I love you” hits different than the other times.
God, I love the details of this show.

Capítulo 14
- Mafin rewatch (Sueños de Libertad)
Claudia what the fuck are you doing? This is a whole level of stupid not even a sheltered background can be blamed for. I get why it happened, they wanted a baby out of wedlock storyline, but keeping within the story - this is just - I suddenly find myself questioning whether Claudia would know how to get through a closed door on her own accord. I do guess it does explain why we never see her in charge of the register. Girl is as bright as a rainy November night and as sharp as a plastic spoon.
Fina really not wanting to do the commercial thing. Being nervous around Marta and well, the whole idea. Her friends keep her there though. Marta not helping by being unable to let this bone lie, she instantly digs into Fina who is a stiff nervous wreck in front of the camera. Also look at Marta’s body language throughout this entire scene. Each time she's in front of Fina her arms are folded tightly across her chest in a gesture that probably is as much an attempt at intimidation as it is a subconscious protective self-hug. Looking at Fina, being around Fina, releases things she seems to want to be able to ward herself from. Unfortunately, that is not quite how physical attraction works. It’s usually very insistent and sharp enough to cut through anything you try to smother it in.
Tumblr media
This is a Baroque painting if I ever saw one. The Suffering of Saint Bertha, patron of "no patience" and lesbians - elevated by stubborn cherubs. One of Caravaggio's lessern known works.
Marta watching Marcos with Fina like a hawk. Yeah, that thing inside her chest, you can see that it keeps picking up speed. Also, something tells me she has the ability to be spectacularly possessive under certain circumstances.
Tumblr media
Marta’s reaction as Marcos kisses her. She doesn’t mind having her ego stroked for a bit, but that’s where the line is.
He’s a ballsy little twat though, telling Marta that he gets it, that her heart is already taken. She twirls her ring and says, “yes, my husband”. And he calls her out and says, “Fina.” With that he rocks her world entirely loose from its settings. She calls him crazy and tries to run away from him and what he says. First picking up a folder as a shield and then hiding behind the desk seeking cover. He goes on and mentions that he sees the way she looks at her, how Fina is a magnet pulling her in. He is very decent about it though, telling her that tastes are personal and should never be judged by others. I honestly love how many supportive people this world is populated with. Some right bastards too, but a lot of really supportive people. Marta however goes into a visible halt and catch fire loop and can’t even seem to come up with a response, being confronted like that, no matter what, will always make her short-circuit into a stuttering mess. Her silent face journey as he closes the door is a thing of beauty. It’s both comedic and telling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, the realisation that the little moustachioed fucker is right. I think her body had felt the pull, but it's probably not until this moment that there were words to express it with. I don't think she's quite ready to handle those words yet though. But now they are there, spoken out loud and tangible and made so terribly dangerous because of it.
Marta taking care of business and mediating peace between her brother and Luis. Ending up being her having to tell her dumbass brother to shut the fuck up and he does, but the damage is already done and Luis walks out the door and the company. Jesús is such an incredibly bad businessman. The fact that their company haven’t gone straight to hell already is a true testament to Marta’s business acumen.
