          “  you know you’re the closest thing i have to a family , right ? ” and maybe it’s not the whole truth , because rey is his family , but -- he knows how complicated it is. neither of them have ever had a family , not really. only in his most distant memories , memories he’s sometimes not sure are real or just wishful thinking. still , it’s important she knows. just in case.
