so supernova is serving amazing indie as always (a fact that a part of this fandom likes to ignore). i absolutely love “sadzejot” by tepat and „zelts” by KoBra. i’m sososo happy to see so many songs in latvian!!!!!!!!!
eesti laul on the other hand is a mid-off. tommy cash absolutely didn’t live up to the expectations, i find the song boring, it kinda seams like he just submitted whatever bc he’s gonna win either way (and tbh i think he may flop which would be very funny). my favourite song rn is probably "Ma ei tea sind" but for the love of god i can’t imagine this being presented well live (andrei zevakin cannot sing to save his life)

My Eurovision 2024 predictions
Hi !
How are you ?
Here are my predictions for Eurovision 2024 nobody asked !
Disclaimer : I'm not clairvoyant, so most of my predictions won't come true. Also, please note that I don't mean to offend anyone in this post, I just like to guess what will happen in the next Eurovision season.
The jury system will remain the same but EBU won't bring it back in the semi-finals
The rest of the world will still have the ability to vote
They will introduce a new rule where we have to create an account to vote from the Eurovision app
38 countries will participate
In plus of Luxembourg, North Macedonia will come back
Romania will withdraw following the bad result in ESC and because of poor TV ratings
Turkey won't come back for obvious reasons
Monaco will be back... in 2025 because TV Monaco will join EBU only in 2024
A ballad will win the contest
The edition will be dominated by pop songs in English
Malmö will host
Petra Mede won't come back as a host but Måns Zelmerlöw (Sweden 2015, host in 2016) will
Farah Abadi or Sarah Dawn Finer will be the other host
Carola Häggkvist (Sweden 1983, 1991, 2006) will be involved in the contest

Den første gule kortsstraf i den nye sæson i Tour Down Under
Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohes stedfortræder fik et gult kort af løbet, og Danny van Poppel blev den første rytter til at modtage et gult kort i den nye sæson. Tour Down Under har afsluttet sin tredje etape, og anden etape var ikke et godt minde for Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe. Rytteren Danny van Poppel blev diskvalificeret i slutningen af anden etape, og han kiggede ned på sin Billigt Cykeltøj og huskede reglen om gult kort.
Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe tog initiativet i den sene anden etape, og rytterne i front ledte efter en bedre position. De sidste par hundrede meter af hver etape er det mest spændende øjeblik, og alle rytterne i front leder efter en gunstig position at støde på. Danny van Poppel førte holdkammeraten bag sig, og han ville gerne give plads til Sam Welsford. Rytterne bag ham red aktivt, og de ville udnytte andre steder. Slutspurten kunne ikke undgå fysiske kollisioner mellem ryttere, og nogle ryttere hjalp deres holdkammerater med at blokere andres positioner. Efter Danny van Poppel havde fuldført sin opgave, valgte han at klemme sig ind i Søren Kragh Andersens stilling. I 2024 har road racing-begivenheder allerede pålagt bilister sanktioner for at bryde reglerne, men bøder og reduktioner i ranglisten har ingen reel betydning.
Siden Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe fik en ny sponsor, er holdet ikke længere plaget af manglende midler. I sæsonen 2025 modtog Danny van Poppel sit første gule kort i World Touren, og hans ry er højere end etapemesterens. Bora-Hansgrohe Cykeltrøje vil også blive bemærket på grund af dette. Faktisk har holdet styrken til at vinde Tour Down Under. Men når Danny van Poppel modtager to gule kortstraffe, står han direkte over for en syv dages karantæne. Straffereglerne i den nye sæson beskytter små holds grundlæggende interesser og gør også hold med tilstrækkelige budgetter på vagt.

Vi har sæsonen igennem gættet på New Orleans Saints kampe. Og gennem rigtige gæt samlet lodder. Nu skal vinderen kåres. Der var i alt 24 deltagere og der blev uddelt 206 lodder. God start på 2025, Arsenal slog Brentford
Den sidste kamp i 19. runde af Premier League var Arsenals udekamp mod Brentford. Som den første kamp i 2025 håber fans iført billige fodboldtrøjer, at Arsenal kan vinde og få en god start på 2025.
I starten af kampen, i det 13. minut, tabte Ode bolden på midtbanen og sendte den igennem, Brentford 1-0 Arsenal. I det 29. minut fik Thomas' langskud fra uden for straffesparksfeltet, at målmanden slap Jesus med et hovedstød og scorede, Arsenal 1-1 Brentford. I det 50. minut blev Nwaneris hjørnespark blokeret af målmanden Merino skubbede bolden ind foran målet og scorede Arsenal til 2-1. I det 53. minut skubbede Martinelli, iført en Arsenal trøje, nemt til målet uden at blive markeret. I den følgende tid fortsatte begge sider med at foretage udskiftninger, men ingen af dem scorede et mål. I slutningen af kampen besejrede Arsenal Brentford 3-1 på udebane. Efter 19 runder samlede Arsenal 39 point og blev nummer to.

I 6. runde af Premier League 2024-2025 spillede Chelsea mod Brighton på hjemmebane. Chelsea havde en god start på denne sæson og er i øjeblikket i top fire i Premier League. I begyndelsen viste Chelsea ikke deres fordel. På kun 7 minutter blev Chelsea scoret af modstanderen. Chelsea lod dem dog ikke gribe for mange muligheder og fik hurtigt udlignet. Begge sider så ud til at bidrage med al deres erfaring til første halvleg. I næste halvleg fandt Chelsea deres offensiv og lod kun Brighton score ét mål, mens Chelsea scorede tre mål i træk. Chelsea 4-2 Brighton. Dette er resultatet af den fælles indsats fra alle fans i Chelsea trøje. I anden halvleg gjorde ingen af parterne fremskridt, og stillingen blev fastlåst til 4-2.
Til sidst slog Chelsea Brighton 4-2 hjemme og vandt tre ligasejre i træk.

Kylian Mbappé afslutter kontraktforlængelse med den gamle klub
Kylian Mbappé har takket nej til mange Paris Saint-Germain-udvidelser i denne sæson, og denne gang har han endelig sagt ja til en ny aftale med sin gamle klub. Nr. 7 Paris Saint-Germain hjemmebanetrøje vil stadig tilhøre Kylian Mbappé, mens nr. 11 Ángel Di María har annonceret sin afgang. Paris Saint-Germain meddelte officielt, at Kylian Mbappé vil forny sin kontrakt frem til 2025. Han er ikke bare en stjerne på holdet, han har også en anden identitet som en af holdets ledelse.
Kylian Mbappés beslutning om at vælge Paris Saint-Germain eller Real Madrid er endelig forbi, og at fortsætte den vil kun komplicere sagerne. Santiago Bernabéu Stadium-fans og Real Madrid så de franske spilleres holdning, og Parc des Princes-fans så klubber betale enorme transfergebyrer for at hente deres egne spillere. Selvom formand Florentino Pérez Rodríguez har forberedt Kylian Mbappés Real Madrid hjemmebanetrøje nummer 7, har han valgt at blive i Paris Saint-Germain. Fra det mulige skifte af Kylian Mbappé til Real Madrid, havde formanden Florentino Pérez Rodríguez og klubbens ledere og Santiago Bernabéu Stadium-fans ikke meget at sige. Hvad der virkelig bragte dette i søgelyset, æren skal gå til medierne i La Liga og medierne i Ligue 1, som skændtes med hinanden om Kylian Mbappés følelse af at høre til i fremtiden.
Kylian Mbappé og hans team af agenter traf det sværeste valg, og han burde være misundelig på Erling Haalands valg i øjeblikket. Hans beslutning fik også Erling Haaland, der skrev under med Manchester City før tidsplanen, til at gå glip af Real Madrid, og Real Madrid gik også glip af en ung Erling Haaland. Men det eneste, der gør Erling Haaland glad, er, at hans nye hold har vundet Premier League, og hans fremtidige kamp med Kylian Mbappé kun lige er begyndt.

Officially Official: Benvenuto Fikayo Tomori!

Confirming what everyone expected, former Chelsea youth and former Canadian Fikayo Tomori’s option has been picked up by Milan after his half season loan from The Blues. The club made the official announcement today, and Fik will join for a €30m fee after 16 years in the Chelsea system. Contract details have yet to be confirmed but it does run until 2025.
After his move in January Fikayo formed a solid and handsome CB partnership with Kjaer, playing 22 matches and netting a beautiful header against Juve. His transition from England to Italy was surprisingly smooth and while there were little hiccups here and there, his performances were good enough to displace former captain Alessio Romagnoli, whose future seems very much up in the air now.
Me? I think the price is a bit inflated, but overall I am a fan. He’s a very intelligent player and extremely athletic. The areas that concerned me had nothing to do with positioning and moreso with small adjustments of technique, so that learning curve that so many defenders from other leagues experience in Serie A seems to be flat for Fik. Plus, it seems like he loves being here which doesn’t seem to be the case for the two big names that were out of contract here.

Here are my predictions for Eurovision 2025 no one asked !
Disclaimer : I'm not clairvoyant, so most (if not, not a single one) of my predictions won't come true. Also, please note that I don't mean to offend anyone in this thread, I just like to guess what will happen in the next Eurovision season that may be more chaotic than ever.
- 3 hosts, one woman and two men
- 🇨🇿 will withdraw but 🇳🇱 will participate again
- 🇷🇴 and 🇲🇨 will return, but not 🇲🇰
- 🇽🇰 will try to debut, but it will be unsuccessful because some participants still don't recognise the country as an independent state
- Gjon's Tears will perform as an interval act
- Céline Dion won't physically appear / perform in any of the shows
- "Ne partez pas sans moi" will be covered by one of the last Swiss representatives
- Postcards will include parts of Swiss culture
- The stage design will be decent at best
- A tragic event will happen during the Eurovision week (but mostly not related to the contest itself)
- The grand final closing entry will be second last again
- One of ESC 2024 top 10 countries will open the grand final
- 5th slot will be more cursed than the death slot
- Voting will be open before the 1st performance in all 3 shows

- There will be a discussion on the possibility of introducing a ROTW jury
