What to remember when training with boys
Make sure you feel safe. Especially when you're the only girl.
Bring a hair tie. A strong one.
Guys are sweaty. They sweat a lot quicker and a lot more than girls. So chances are you’ll be slicked with man sweat before you start sweating in earnest. Yeah, it’s kind of gross. You'll get over it.
Kick them in the balls. It’s character building. Similarly, be prepared to get hit harder than you would expect. That’s character building too.
You are tiny. You'll get shoved around. Don't get flustered. This is good practice.
Pain does not discriminate. Don't stop when you get smacked in the boobs. Try not to squeal when it starts hurting. You can't do that in a real fight.
Still, it's not a contest. Breathe. Say something if you're hurt. You can't train if you're injured.
Yes, you can beat a guy who's bigger than you. Size difference is never an excuse.
Never say sorry. Ask if he's ok. Be sure to buy him a drink after class.
